Side Keys Broken

Hi
I have a BlackBerry Curve 8520. My Side Keys (Camera and Volume Down) have broken. I can access the Camera through the Menu but how do I adjust the volume in music player or while talking on the phone?
From where can I get a new body frame for my device?

I do not have an external keyboard...well I do, but I can't find it at the moment. So if there's any other way around it, that would be helpful

That first pdf is an excellent discussion of how the keycaps attach.
If it won't click back in look carefully at those tiny tabs they may be broken off.
There are many places to buy replacements.

Music Slider Key broken of my nokia 5610

The problem with my nokia 5610 is that i didnt drop the phone at all but its music slider key broken and its look so ugly without it, is there any possibility of replacing it? Anyone had similar problem as mine?? plz help!!

Please note that i have the same issue, where in the slide is so delicate that whenever you put in you pocket or jacket & when you are taking it out, if a small thread gets stuck inside the music slide button, it will break, i am suprised with this fact as too why has nokia created a slide button with such low quality plastics, also this button would be the most used button of all & must have been the strongest of all, currently i am using the phone without the slide & trust me its not a pretty sight to see. I am not sure if prority centers in Bangalore, India have the part or if i have to spend a fortune to get it replaced, as i have heard nokia spares are one of the most expensive :-( as compared to the competition.
Does anyone agree with me? Request nokia support to check on this please respond.

What to do to unlock keypad without side key in no...

Anyone please let me know, how to unlock keypad withour moving side key in nokia 5230 or 5800. I was keypad unloack feature like iphone have by touching screen something. I broke phone'e side key.

Slide unlock can do that. There is a setting there, where you press an icon in the middle of your homescreen. It would look either like an apple, or a cd, depending on the slideunlock theme. It would then show the "iPhone" lockscreen. You can leave it at that.
There is also something called pocket sensor. When it is in your pocket or when anything covers the proximity sensor, it is locked, and the moment you take it out of its cover/pocket, it is unlocked. There are lots of apps out there.

Nokia C7 unlock key broken as its projecting out

I accidentally got my C7 unlock key broken. I took it to nokia service center.. They said me that it doesnt include in warranty.. They ask me 2000 INR to change completely.. a small piece of projecting plastic switch got broken,how can i spend 2000?. What am i supposed to do..??

yeah.. i'll do that if issue crops up again. Bcz it occurs not that frequently, it will be really tough explaining the issue to Nokia care guys.. its been 10 months already and my nokia care still can't see purple patches in my display...

X1 Carbon 2014 Key Broken

Hey Guys! I have a Thnkpad X1 Carbon - 2014. I was working on my laptop a while back; and pressed the Esc key just to see it pop out. I tried fixing it bak, but noticed that one of the hinges on the right hand side clamp is broken.
The Machine is just 6 months old and I am under onsite warranty. The machine works fine otherwise.
I called up support guys and they told me that since I did not have accidental damage protection, I need to carry my laptop to an authorised service centre and that I would not be covered under warranty. I tried explaining that it popped out in the regular course of use and that there was no accident or damage inflicted on the machine, but they seemed to ingore and simply repeated the accidental damage protection thing.
We may so much for the quality of machines and the quality of after sales service and buy these expensive machine. This is totally unexpected of Lenovo and so disappointing. I am sure my next machine is going to be something which costs 1/2 as much for a much better configuration. Its pointless paying so much and then getting such substandard service and steroetype answers to your issues.
Any suggestions? Should I just go and buy a new keyboard to save me the hassle of contacting the support guys again?

701 side lock broken - Nokia Taiwan refuses guaran...

Three days ago the side lock key on my eight-month-old 701 broke in the course of normal use - I didn't drop it or anything like that - I was just trying to lock the screen in the normal way. There is plainly a mechanical fault as the slide doesn't spring back when you move it.
I took it into Nokia Care here in Taipei and, to my surprise, they told me a) that it can only be fixed by replacing the phone's motherboard and b) that I would have to call Nokia to see whether they were willing to cover it under the guarantee. (It seems that the few remaining Nokia care centres in Taiwan are contracted out and given little or no discretion.) Interestingly they showed me another 701 motherboard with the slide broken in the same way.
Yesterday, Nokia Taiwan called back saying that the limited guarantee specifically excludes damage to the exterior of the phone and that if I wanted it repaired I would have to pay for it.
I have now checked the terms of the guarantee (available in Chinese on Nokia Taiwan's web site) and this simply isn't true. There are exclusions for improper use or modification, acts of god, normal wear and tear, replacement of consumables (fuses are specifically mentioned) and damage to or breakage of aerials, but nothing about damage to switches or anything else of on the exterior of the phone.
Regardless of the details of the guarantee exclusions, I am appalled at Nokia Taiwan's attitude, and would be very grateful if other users could tell me if they have had similar problems with side locks, or with repairs that should be covered under guarantee.

Always a warranty issue with items exposed to "wear and tear" be it micro USB connector, headphone socket and presumably "lock switch" unfortunately.

I think my ibook had a stroke, the left side is broken?

I have recently had my logic board replace, twice actually the first was faulty. anyway, i just got my baby back and none of the plug ins on the side work, ie usb's ethernet etc? am i missing something? is there a way to fix it without parting with my mac...again?

Run the Apple hardware test on the Apple install disk one. Insert the cd in the drive and restart. When the screen goes blank hold down the option key and select the Apple Hardware test on the screen. Run the extended tes tand see what that brings up. Also you can check your system profiler in "About this Mac" in teh Apple menu and click on more info. Check to see if the profiler can "see" you inputs.

Tilde key broken on 15" MBP?

The tilde/backtick key on my 15" MBP doesn't register unless I really jam on it. Does anyone know what Apple's requirements for replacing a key/keyboard are? I just got this laptop less than 2 weeks ago, and it's kind of disappointing to have a broken key right out of the box.

My MBP had an unfortunate meeting with a can of Sprite, so I had to replace the keyboard. Thankfully nothing got any deeper then they keyboard. The folks over at Lapin Systems in Evanston, IL replaced the keyboard and had it back to me the the day it arrived in the shop. Obviously this wasn't covered by Apple, so it was $100 bucks for part and installation. PowerbookMedic wanted over 225 for the same job.

my self DHEERAJ CHAUDHARY from JAIPUR...COMPLAINT NO-2451 i am having laptop v3702au, from last two three months my keyboard arrow key popped up..and i bring this notice to service center and every time i went there to reassemble it..i thought there is some problem so this time i called engineer to fix it in front of me and when he doing this , he broke the lock..and now service center saying that it brought broken..and when i called state manager he said "engineer try to help if it broken by him then it's not his fault " ..now i want HP people to help me what to do next ..and thinking to file negligance case against customer service center..please help...

I ended up uninstalling/reinstalling Illustrator. Starting AI up with reset prefs DID remove the prefs file, but the errors continued like in my screenshots above.
I guess I just gotta be careful with their new mobile to desktop flows...

Key broken on MacBook?

So about a year ago my V key just fell off and the hinge was broken so I couldn't put it back on. So then I just used it without the cover and just had that little jelly thing....the squisy knob.
Now THAT fell off.
I can still push the V key but it's harder and takes about 3 tries.
What can I do about this?
PLEASE HELP!
Should I just get the wireless keyboard that apple makes? Or is that stupid since I have a laptop?

Oh I see. Well, I'm not a repair technician, so I recommed bringing it to an Apple store, AASP, or some other place that specializes in mac repair, although the wireless keyboard would almost certainally be cheaper. I got mine from here: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Apple/MC184LLANB/

Right side speaker broken

When I don't have any headphones plugged in, the sound appears to only be coming from the left-hand side of the macbook. Not sure if this means that there's only a speaker on the left-hand side, or that the right hand side speaker is not working.

go into system preferences and sounds and verify the balance of your speakers
if even, reset NVRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
If still the same contact Apple for in shop full diagnostic and possible repair

BB 7130c Right side keys don't work

Device has worked perfectly for a year then Friday I let my daughter use the phone to make a call. She handed it back to me and said it won't hang up and sure enough her call was connected but the phone was seemingly locked up. I pulled the battery and let it reset.
Now the OP L DEL and Enter keys along the right side do not function at all. I can't type my password in because it starts with L so decided to type my password in wrong 10 times and let it wipe but now it wants me to type blackberry. Can't because the L doesn't work.

My keyboard was bad. I took it to the Apple store and they had my computer back to me the next morning with a new keyboard.

N200 Keyboard Key broken...

Hello,
i am looking for an option to renew the right "STRG" key of my keyboard. It was broken, while our child was playing on it. the key itself is OK, but it won't lock on pad, the contacts are broken.
Is there any other possible solution to find that key/button on the INet?
Do i have to replace the whole keyboard pad?

It will probably easier and quicker to replace the whole keyboard. You might be lucky and find someone on e-bay selling individual keys, but unlikely.
