Siebel 8.1 mobile Client with sample db not launching IE

I have downloaded the Siebel 8.1 Client, tools and sample db from oracle edelivery.
I could successfully install tools and login to it.
I installed client successfully. When logging on to the client with sample db, the uid/pwd is authenticated and the IE is launched. At this point I am getting "the page cannot be displayed" also the address is just showing "http:///"
I have enabled IIS in my local system.
No Siebel Servers, just client and tools with sample db.
Please provide me a solution to this.
Thanks,
Koushik

Thanks for the reply Chetan. I did a few re-installs myself to get the gateway verification working. The fact I had to do that was a real shame and reminded me of the old Siebel 98/99 days when we did re-installs "just because it worked". I thought the Siebel stack was beyond that but I digress...
I have made it a little bit past the original issue by looking closer at the environment variables set by the siebenv.sh script. If you run this shell script in the gateway server directory you will get a bunch of bad merant ODBC libray paths set in environment variables. It appears that those paths are the cause of the "C101 Cannot start common library." I validate this by running the siebenv.sh shell script in the siebel server installation path and then overriding the ODBCINI setting to refer to the .odbc.ini file in the gateway server directory tree instead of the siebel server tree. After all, the siebel server has not been configured yet since it is a new database installation and the .odbc.ini in the directory tree is empty.
So while I get by the original error I now get an error when the wizard attempts to run the sqlgen script as part of the overall .ucf file creation process. I have to try and work this a bit further but it appears that some of the dynamic variables are not getting populated by the wizard into the shell script. I have no idea why this is happening but will keep trying to figure it out when I have time. With any luck at all an answer will appear on this forum or metalink3.

  • AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client with Oracle ESSO 11.1.1.5

    Hello,
we are about to implement Oracle SSO for our client whose employees use Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.0.5080 to access their internal network. The VPN access requires having the correct certificate installed on the client computers and users are required to enter their credentials (the same credentials that are stored in MS AD). All the client computers run Win 7.
Now - what we want to achieve is following: A client's employee logs into a domain, using domain account and starts the Cisco AnyConnect. The best option would be that the Oracle SSO would take it from here and do the rest in setting up the VPN connection - confirming the pre-selected profile, clicking the connect button, then filling the user credentials (from Oracle SSO database) in and confirming the dialog. Or, which is probably more viable way - the user will start AnyConnect, selecting which network to login in and the SSO will only enter the credentials and submit them to establish the connection.
So far we have been able to create templates for Oracle SSO to automatically enter the credentials for various applications, including SAP, but we are not able to create working template for AnyConnect. We are able to catch all the fields in the login window - Username, Password, Ok/Submit - when creating the template in ESSO-LM Admin Console but once the template is published to the repository and added to the test user in ESSO-PG, the SSO does not fill the credentials in. We also tried to "bypass this" using SendKeys with no result as well. All other applikcatios work.
Do you have any experience with such situation or have any hints what can we try?
    Thank you for any answers,
    Ondrej
PS: I have found https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3852541. Is it really that the AnyConnect does not allow any application any input?

Here is a link to an example of configuring AnyConnect to use IKEv2. According to this ASA 8.4 and AnyConnect 3.1 should be ok.

  • App-v 5.0 SP2 Client UI Virtual Application not launching

    Hi there,
Currently we're upgrading to APP-V 5.0 SP2 (HF5). I downloaded the official APP-V Client UI from the Microsoft site. The Hotfix and App-V 5.0 SP2 installed succesfully, I even got Office 2013 to work with the new App-V Client.
The problem I have is that the APP-V Client UI is published to a user and when I launch the application the Process is started, I can see that in the taskmanager but there doesn't appear a user interface. It only worked once for me.
I've tried this on a few different machines, also removed user profile (local and network), but still the appvclientux process is starting but no UI is showing.
Does anyone have an idea how to fix this "bug".

I know that when I testing using my mobile phone, my 3G network provider will continuous change my mobile ip address after a period time, does this behaviour will affect Lync server to find the mobile device?
    Hi,
Would you please tell us which edition of mobile did you use (Android, IOS or Windows Phone)?
As IPhone and Windows Phone need push notification function but Android Phone doesn’t need.
If possible, you can test with two Android Phone to check if the issue happen with push notification function.
From your description above, it seems that you use 3G network on mobile to connect Lync mobile client. Please check if the issue cause by IP address of mobile, you can change network to a WIFI to have a test.
Also, please double check if the needed ports open as Edwin provided above.

  • CRM Mobile Client Installation on 64 Bit Hardware/64 Bit OS..

I have a question related to Mobile Client components installation.
    1) When we were trying to insall the communication station at our client system which are on 64 bit OS on Xeon 64 bit Hardware, we  were facing a lot of issues in connecting to the CRM Server,,,When checked for the SAP note we found through one as 64 bit Xeon processor is not supported for the installation of Communication Station,, We tried installing the Comm Station in our local landsacpe and went on successfully done...
Now my question is : Does VMWare/64 bit Hardware supports the Mobile Client Components installation or not?
    2) We are facing a prob when trying to install the Mobile Development Workstation: The issue is the installation option of selecting the MDW is greyed out and at the bottom it says that pre-requisites should be fulfilled wherein we have taken enough care in meeting them...
Please let us know how to proceed with the installation...
Please do send the documents if any on CRM Mobile Client Components..as we need to deliver to the client on priority basis...
    Thanks in Advance:
    Raghunandan

    Hi Raghunandan,
In reply to your first query regarding supportability of Supportability of Commstation on Intel xeon 64 Bit processor.
This is not supported by SAP. Refer to Note 1131463.
There were some compatibility issues with this last year. Decision was it will not be supported.
For the MDW install problem, this only occurs when the prerequisites are not correct. Check through the install guide again. Check there are no conflicting versions of JRE for example. Probably best to install this on a clean machine.

    Gervase

  • Sync of mobile client

what is the procedure for synchronising mobile client with mobile server?

    Hi Manikandan,
I am assuming you are trying to sync for the first time.
First create a new user (the user must be already created/present in the MI server) in your mobile client and then log into the mobile client with the same user. Go to 'settings' link on your MI Client homepage, where you need the appropriate data informing your client abt the server. This info includes Host ( give fully qualifies host name), Port ( Normally 50000) and System ( your system name eg. EEC). Once this is done, save the settings and go to the homepage.
Click on the icon at the center of the screen which will lead to next page where u will be asked for the Sync password. The Sync password is the same password which the user uses to log in to the MI server (ABAP) directly and press 'ok'.
I suggest you refer to MDK2.5 which will help with such issues
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Rahul

  • Creating Custom Mobile Application with CRM

    Hi ,
After reading some staff about the CRM Mobile client solutions , I have not figure it out weather I can create my own mobile applications  using the CRM Mobile Technology .
I know that the mobile clients need CRM Middleware server for synchonization and for access to backend systems, but can I call any rfc on any backend system (for example R3)
for synchronization meaning that my CRM server will be used only as middleware server to access non crm functionality on other backend systems
    Thnaks,
    Oren

What you can do is the following:
data-save on MSA triggers an outbound sbdoc (containing the update objects)
-->this one is sent to CRM by the conntrans
--> the sbdoc is created from the data, stored in the inbound queue, and processed through it's CRM flow (meaning mapping to mbdoc, processing of inbound mbdoc, creation of outbound mbdoc and mapping to outbound sbdoc).
What you can do is use or exit the bdoc flow to trigger whatever other process you want.
    What exactly is the requirement?
    Michael.

Can any one predict the cause this error?
    Thanks,

Web Determinations relies on Siebel Inbound web services running to communicate with Siebel. From your stack trace, the line: com.oracle.determinations.siebel.io.web.ServiceCallException: Read timed out indicates that ether the web services are not running, or are running on a different port from the one configured.
Normally inbound web services do not run on a Siebel Mobile client. However, any mobile client after 8.1.1 can be configured to run them (see: Bookshelf v8.1: Invoking Web Services on the Siebel Mobile Web Client)
If you are sure that inbound web services are running, you will probably still need to configure the siebel-data-adapter.properties file in web determinations.
This file can be found in the siebel-web-determiations/WEB-INF/classes directory. See http://docs.oracle.com/html/E48626_01/toc.htm#Technical Reference/Seibel_Data_Adapter_Config_File.htm?Highlight=siebel-data-adapter.properties
Basicall you need to ensure that the url is set correct. The defualt port used on a Mobile client is 2330, so it should probably be something like:
    URL=http://localhost:2330/eai_anon_enu/start.swe?SWEExtSource=SecureWebService&SWEExtCmd=Execute

  • CTRANSPORT_ERROR_TIMEOUT with Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1.05170

    Hi,
I use Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client 3.1.05170 to connect to my company network and it has been working successfully for a while and until Sunday evening Feb 8.
Today, this solution is no longer working and I've reproduced the same issue on 3 different Mac's which have 10.10.2 (on 2 Mac's) and 10.9.5 (on 1 Mac).
I can navigate on internet without any problem but when I launch the connection in Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client, it time outs and I get the following errors:

Any idea about a solution ?
    Thanks in advance
    Nicolas

There seem to be much more problems with 3.1.04049
    Especially with certificate authentication.
    I opened some TAC cases.
Try 3.1.04063 that came out at 07-24-13.
TAC said that there are some fixes in it...
