Siebel CRM user's pwd

dears,
I am Rookie, now I am learning the siebel crm. in the siebel finance service model,by the administration-user screen,I can create a new user,But I can not set the user's pwd, and there is a default pwd for the user.who can tell me what's the default pwd.thanks.

The password is usually maintained by the database or some LDAP/SSO solution.
My first guess is that you have to talk with the persone that created the database for you.

  • Bulk Action to merge an IDM user to a Siebel CRM user

    Hi,
i 'm using the SJS IDM 6.1 and i'm tryning to merge an IdM user to an user that is created on the Siebel CRM by a bulk action.
The script used is the following
    command,user,waveset.resources,accounts[Siebel CRM].identity
    Update,IdMuser,|Merge|Siebel CRM,Siebel CRM user
The result is the IdM user was associated to the Siebel CRM resource with the IdM account, and not linked by the Siebel CRM account and it is not found on the Siebel resources (obviously).
I have a lot of IdM users to merge to the Siebel CRM account.
Does anybody Know how to merge the account by bulk action?
    Thanks in advance

If you are using any other resource as Pass-through Authentication, then the password fields can be blank. In fact, if you enable pass-though authentication, the tabbed user form does not show the password fields.

  • Siebel CRM On Demand User Group

Not sure if this specifically fits under this particular forum but...
Does anyone know if there is a specific Siebel CRM On Demand Users Group? I am aware of the Oracle Application Users Group etc, but I'm not sure if it caters for the On Demand model of Siebel, or just the Enterprise model.
If anyone knows which group(s) serve Siebel CRM On Demand users either globally, regionally or locally (especially in Australia), please post the details.
    Regards,
    Cameron

    Hi Kathy,
I believe a users group would be beneficial in APAC (particularly in regional locations e.g. Australia, New Zealand etc).
I would see it serving multiple roles -:
    1. To act as a forum for Siebel CRM On Demand users to share their collective knowledge and experience with the product.
    2. To act as a collective voice for Siebel CRM On Demand users.
    3. To act as a conduit for communication from Oracle to their customers, and in turn from the customer to Oracle.
    4. To promote and facilitate educational offerings and training opportunities.
    5. To promote and facilitate networking opportunities.
In a nut shell, it should serve to promote Knowledge, Advocacy, Communication, Education and Networking.
If I'm not mistaken, such groups exist and represent the user base of just about every product that Oracle sells except for Siebel CRM On Demand. I feel that it is important for the Siebel CRM On Demand user base to be able to benefit from a users group similarly representing them.
That being said, I can understand why you would have conflicting opinions on the usefulness of such a tool in APAC. As a region, Asia Pacific is particularly diverse and as such, a users group would have to be capable of representing the interests and needs of each unique demographic.
    Regards,
    Cameron.

  • Do we have a concept of Ethical Users licences in Siebel CRM 8.0/8.1

    Hi Gurus,
Do we have a concept of Ethical users licences in Siebel CRM, for example if i have 100 licensed users for SIEBEL CRM BASE and related modules and options and if i wanted to add 2 more users for temproray purpose , do i need to buy addtional licenses from Oralce or shall i create without buying for temporay work?

    Hi,
Do we have Vision server concept in Siebel CRM 8.0

Could to try to rephrase the question? Do you mean integration with Vision Server from Crystal/Business Objects?

  • Invoking Siebel CRM OnDemand Web Service via BPEL

I'm trying to invoke a Siebel CRM OnDemand Web Service via BPEL. Basically, the Siebel guide says to post to a url with user/pwd to get a session ID returned from a cookie. I did that using embedded java and have the session ID as a variable in my BPEL process. My problem is with now calling the Web Service to perform the action. I have a WSDL from Siebel, but the guide says to use an HTTP post with the session ID in the url and the XML in the body. How do I do that? Shouldn't the WSDL handle that when I create the Partner Link? Do I need to use more embedded Java for this or can I set up a Partner Link? I created a Partner Link and it shows the methods I want to use, but I get the following error when I try to call it because I don't know where to add the session ID:
    <ErrorCode xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">SBL-ODU-01006</ErrorCode>
<ErrorMessage xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">Internal Error: Session is not available. Aborting.</ErrorMessage>
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Please let me know if you need more information.
    THANKS!

The Siebel OnDemand web services can accept the siebel session token in the URL. Append ';jessionid={%sessionIdFromCookie%}' to the end point. Obviously this has to be done dynamically. Refer to the article called 'Making BPEL Processes Dynamic' (http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/bpel_cookbook/carey.html) pay particular attention to the 'Eliminating address dependency at run time' section.

  • Error while calling siebel crm on demand web service

    Hi.
Has anyone encounter this problem before while trying to invoke the Siebel crm on demand web services? Please help.
Also, do I have to set up the SSL Trust Key and trust file to include the Siebel crm SSL cert?
    faultCode: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Server.generalException
faultString: com.ibm.wsspi.channel.framework.exception.ChannelException: com.ibm.wsspi.channel.framework.exception.ChannelException: Invalid trust file name of null
    faultActor: null
    faultDetail:

Hi, yes I only use jax-ws to generate client artifacts for On Demand. I can imagine for first time user you have really big problems to generate the client code... The reason for this is in most cases the size of the wsdl files.
    What you can do is.
    1. Think about what you really need of the selected wsdl. eg. if it is account do you need all related objects like PlanAccount etc?
    2. If you know what you need start to delete the not needed definitions from the wsdl and try the generation of client afterwards.
    Best Regards

  • Agent going to not ready after call hangup, Siebel CRM Connector, reason code 50002

    Hi Everyone,
We have Contact Center Enterprise UCCE 8.5.2 with CTOS integrated Siebel CRM 8.1.1 using
    Cisco Unified CRM connector
On daily basis we are receiving about 100 incidents that Agents goes to not ready after
talking to customer. and the reporting gives the reason code 50002.
As per Cisco its because of CTI server Failure/Agent desktop closed/network Problem.  But
In real there is no network issue, Agent not closing the Agent desktop. Also if this is
the case agent should be logged out but in pratical its stays logged in but moved to
    not-ready state(Reason 50002)
It could be  miss communication between UCCE and Siebal CRM connector.
One more thing its not happening with one customer only it happening in many deployment on
Version 8. Especially the one integrated with Siebel.
If anyone face the same issue please share the experience and the solution if found any!
    Regards,
    Atif Tanveer

    Atif,
If memory serves me right, CTI events are controlled and communicated by Siebel connector.  So when your users close Siebel or any other CTI controlling connector this will be same as closing CTIOS or CAD without proper logoff.  This will keep the phone out of synch and keep the user automatically into not ready to prevent any callers going to this device.
Simple answer you have to train users and make sure they close Close applications properly.
    Thanks,
    Baseer.

  • Oracle BI EE Application integration with Siebel CRM 7.8

    Hi all,
I've just installed Oracle BI EE 10 platform and application. I am unable to view any data from Siebel CRM ver 7.8. I followed the following steps to configure the application:
    1. Installed BI platform
    2. Installed BI application
    3. Pointed ODBC connection string for OLAP and OLTP to the Siebel CRM and DW
    4. Change metadata string for Siebel in Administration tool
    5. Setup the variables for DSN, User Name, TBO and password in the connection.
    6. Run the ETL on DAC for Siebel Automotive
All of the procedures worked fine. There were no errors in the installation or setup of the above procedures
I am facing the following problems:
    1. I am unable to view any pre-built dashboards (I was able to view the pre-built dashboard in the previous release of Siebel Applications)
    2. I am unable to view any data on BI Answers. I get an ODBC connection error when i try to view any data.
    Note:
    1. I've done a fresh install on a windows 2003 server machine
    2. I am using AnalyticsWeb.rpd
    3. The sample Paint.rpd demo was working fine
Any suggestions on what i am doing wrong? Do i need to post any logs here to make this more understandable?

    hi Praveen,
Did you got any answer for this?

  • Adobe Air app - sync data with Siebel CRM system?

    Hi everyone,
We want to create a simple application using Flash and Adobe Air. The application will run locally on the user's laptop since the users do not always have access to an internet connection. The user will open the application and fill our a few required fields.
Once the user is able to connection with the internet, the information entered by the user on the local desktop application needs to be written to a remote backend Siebel CRM system. The database in use is Oracle.
Is it possible to write information from a local Abode Air app to a remote db stored on the network?
If so, can you provide details on how this may be accomplished? Is it considered difficult?
    Thanks !!!
    Mike

You would connect to the Siebel CRM server from an AIR app the same way you would from a browser-hosted Flash application or a general web application. Typically, this would be through a web service.
Here's a link to a tutorial on connecting to a web service in AIR:

SolMan and C4C integration is available for exception management but not for user creation and

  • OPA quering in Siebel CRM

We have a scenario as mentioned below
    Scenario -
    BC - Account
    1. Siebel CRM sends account id to OPA
    2. OPA queries Siebel CRM for the same account's name, status.
    3. OPA applies the rule,
         Rule - if(status = "pending")
                   return "the list of products"
              else
return "the account is not pending"
    4. The rule checks the validity and it returns the list of products written in the rule
Here we are unable to find how OPA can query in the Siebel CRM to get more details about the account.
    Waiting for suggestions!!

    898787,
If you are not already, then you should be using the OPA Connector for Siebel. The Connector allows you to define either a 'business object mapping' in the Siebel Client using a graphical drop down list approach to pick entities and attributes, or the newer 'integration object mapping' approach which uses an IO defined in Siebel Tools and is 'decorated' with user properties which define the entity/attribute mapping.
Either way, when you pass a the Id of a BO/top level Integration Component into OPA, OPA then uses these mappings to query out the rest of the data which is defined as part of that mapping (which n your case would be the account name and status).
both approaches are detailed in the Connector help http://docs.oracle.com/html/E26106_01/toc.htm
    Cheers,

  • Siebel CRM Licenses

I would like to find out, how is the licensing in Siebel calculated? I am trying to understand how many users in my company will need license and how do you calculate that.
We will be implementing Siebel CRM Public Sector 8.1..
    Thanking you in advance
    Samkelo

Please ignore the previous post – it is wrong.
Siebel is licensed by the number of users normally. When I worked at Siebel and sold Siebel that was the norm. You can also get a enterprise license but these are expensive.
Best to talk w/ Oracle about this.

What version of Siebel are you using? There was a bug in some versions when session management was used but it worked okay in other scenarios, e.g., when the user id and password were passed in the URL. This bug (id 12-1KXYCJ7 and 12-1KXYCJ7) has been fixed (more than once by the look of it). I have not noticed the same in 8.1.1.1.

  • Using Ajax and Siebel CRM OnDemand Web Services

    Hello,
Is anyone using Ajax to access Siebel CRM OnDemand Web Services from a web page? If so do you perhaps have a code sample?
    thank you.

    Hi Zohaib,
your problem is that you need to obtain and import the SSL security certificate from your CRMOD server into the certificate store of your client application.
    for example:
C:\Oracle\Middleware11113\jdk160_18\bin\keytool -importcert -trustcacerts -keystore C:\Oracle\Middleware11113\jdk160_18\jre\lib\security\cacerts -storepass changeit -noprompt -file C:\Users\Mick\Documents\Projects\SCB\DER\DER.cer -alias crmodnew
To be sure you are using that trust store you can then explicitly set the path to it thus:
    System.setProperty("javax.net.ssl.trustStore", "/Oracle/Middleware11113/wlserver_10.3/server/lib/cacerts");
This should get you going in accessing CRMOD from your Java code (ie running the java class directly in jdev) i nJDeveloepr 11.1.1.4, however be aware that there is an issue in the embedded WebLogic Server 10.3.4.0 that prevents successfully calling a CRMOD ws (you can login but not invoke a QueryPage for instance). To work around this until it is fixed I suggest you use JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 as the embedded WLS in this does work when accessing CRMOD web services, however you need to undertake the extra steps of enabling JSSE in your embedded WLS as well as importing the above cert into the WLS cert store, ie:
C:\Oracle\Middleware11113\jdk160_18\bin\keytool -importcert -trustcacerts -keystore C:\Oracle\Middleware11113\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\DemoTrust.jks -storepass DemoTrustKeyStorePassPhrase -noprompt -file C:\Users\Mick\Documents\Projects\SCB\DER\DER.cer -alias crmodnew
C:\Oracle\Middleware11113\jdk160_18\bin\keytool -importcert -trustcacerts -keystore C:\Oracle\Middleware11113\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\DemoIdentity.jks -storepass DemoIdentityKeyStorePassPhrase -noprompt -file C:\Users\Mick\Documents\Projects\SCB\DER\DER.cer -alias crmodnew
    Cheers,
    Mick.
