Siebel Marketing Segmentation Contacts Not Correctly Populated By organization

Hi
We are using biee marketing segmentation in siebel crm system.
After i load campaign with bi segmentation, i found contacts exist in All Contacts/Prospects Across Organization View with default organization. Not displayed in All Contacts/Prospects view.
I checked organization for all the contacts, they belonged to customized organization but not the default.
So does the campaign and segmentation list.
Where did this default org come from?
Any ideas?

EDI header segment E1EDK04 not populating

Hello,
We are currently using the intercompany EDI process to create vendor invoices based on an EDI output from a billing document.
This worked well for us, until we wanted to change our pricing procedure for tax condition type MWST print i.d. for condition line from "S" to "a".
Now when the iDoc is created it contains the correct tax values at the line item level in E1EDP04 but no segment is created for the header tax in E1EDK04.
Therefore, the iDoc fails with message 51.
SAP note 398414 (from 2001) suggets setting "S" in the print i.d.
It seems our options are to have a correct idoc output or a correct printed form for EU tax, but not both. This seems a limitation.
We are currently exploring a custom exit but I would like to know if anyone has a std SAP solution as being able to automate intercompany clearing does not seem a unique problem.

would you please be more specific on how you resolved this? when use new pricing IDs for item-level relevancy E1EDP04 is not getting populated.
My requirement for printing is to show tax at item level, any header-relevant pricing ID incurres inconsistent processing of billing output.
I'm not seing any standard way to meet both requirements, please advice.

Siebel Marketing ESD not sending Email

I have installed Siebel Marketing and configured it to send email through launching campaigns. Without intervention of ESD, my emails through F9 (Menu bar->File->Send Email) goes fine but when i send it through a campaign it is not received at the other end, i have not installed BHD so that i can only work on this issue and Send Email first. i have checked my SMTP and its sending mail through telnet just fine. So could anyone tell me what is the problem or what am i missing??
I have configured ESD according to guide and all the verification are in place. There is no error in ESD log or Siebel log related to it. Only thing which i doubt is an error is that "r" 450 4.1.8 <SEMA-CR-1-83O3@CHANGEME>: Sender address rejected: Domain not found" after every contact it processes, be it a valid or invalid email. Kindly any answers would be really appreciated.

Message log not correctly associated with contact

I'm having an issue where I cannot text message a particular contact or phone number. A series of steps I took seems to have exposed a glitch where the message log will not corrrectly associate itself to a newly created contact. So now when I push the SMS button on the new contact, nothing happens. Also when I manually start a new text message and add the contact to the text message and press send, the message clears from the text box and nothing else happens.
Here is how you reproduce the error:
1. I called a number and quickly hung up, just as you would do to log a number for saving later.
2. From the call log, I clicked on the SMS button to send a text message.
3. I sent a text message.
4. From the text message log, I clicked on the number at the top to save it to contacts.
5. I saved a new contact with the number.
6. If you go back to the message log, you should notice that the message log header does not update with the new contact's name. Instead it will still show the number.
7. Finally, I went to the test contact and pressed the SMS button and nothing happens.
After you add the contact like I did, it seems that the contact does not correct connect itself with the message log.
After step 5, go to the message log and click on the message log header which should still be the number. When you do this, you would think it would open up the new test contact info card, but instead it opens up a new contact card, as if the number is not saved to a contact yet. It gives me the option to Add To Contacts at the bottom.

I have the same issue. I started not being able to text only one person. I go to the contact and click on the "SMS" button and it doesn nothing. If I try to send the message directly to the number it just doesn't do anything, the message leaves the text box, but doens't show up in the conversation window. I'm not exactly sure what I did to do this, but I think it's because I added the same contact twice. Once from my incoming calls, and once from my outgoing texts. I've tried deleting all references to this number (ie the contact info, incoming/outoing calls and texts) but nothing has worked. It must be the corrupt contact thing as well.

According to your description, could you please post the summary and detail logs for further analysis? By default, the logs can be found in: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log.
Usually, the error occurs when the Windows Installer Service is not running or the Windows Installer registry settings are corrupted. I recommend you reset the Windows Installer Service settings in the registry and restart the Windows Installer Service,
then reinstall SQL Server 2008 R2. For more details, please review this similar

Initialization parameters not getting populated correctly during DBCA

This problem is observed on Oracle 10.2.0.1 Linux x86 and RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 ES Update 5.
I tried to use DBCA template file to create an Oracle database (see below for the template file content). The DB creation was successful, but the initialization parameters did not get populated into /oracle/u01/app/oracle/admin/ora10g/pfile/init.ora the way I would expect.

Right after DB creation using DBCA, I would expect to see the following initialization paramaters populated in /oracle/u01/app/oracle/admin/ora10g/pfile/init.ora file that match the values I specified in the template file, but it appears that some initialization parameters are either not populated or incorrectly populated.

Likely dbca currently uses the spfile to store the parameters, as you should do too.
Apart from that the pfile Oracle uses is located in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/init<sid>.ora
It is possible this file is soft-linked to the file you mention.
If it isn't the file you mention is not being used at all.

Contacts not populating

I'm having issues with just one particular Iphone device using IOS6 and the email contacts not populating. In other words when I start entering in the TO field it doesn't come up with suggestions. I'm connecting to a Microsoft Exchange for email over 4g or wifi.

Install oracle BI enterprise edition to use it with siebel marketing

Hi guys.
I want to install the Oracle BI Enterprise Edition in order to use it (Segmentation) from Siebel Marketing.
To ensure the correct cooperation, between oracle BI and siebel Marketing, i have to follow some particular procedure?? or i can install Oracle BI normally and after set correctly some parameter in siebel marketing/oracle BI??
If the answer is PARTICULAR...... WHAT??

For the OBIEE platform itself it's irrelevant whether you use Siebel Marketing or not. The differences are
a) within Siebel - i.e. the administration screens
b) within the BIEE rpd - i.e. the Marketing metadata objects

Default Value in a DFF is not getting populated in Self Service Page

I had an issue in Self Service Page.
In the SS page there is hidden mandatory field in DFF segment,which should get populated with a default select statement.
But this field is not getting populated with the default values.
But this is working fine in Forms , i.e the default value is populated in forms.
Why the default value is not populated in Self Service Pages?
For Eg: If there is a DFF "SAMPLE_DFF" which has some context with segment
Context Code : GB_CODE
Segment : "Enter the Group"
and this segment is made required and defaulted with a select stmt (select stmt returns 'XXXXX')
In forms if am not entering any value, then its defaulted to 'XXXXX'.
But in Self Service this is not happening.
Can anybody help me out...

Actually, I have narrowed down the problem. It is not quite the same.
DFF is Receivables, Address Information (Release 12). We have 2 attributes defined and we want the default value of the 2nd to be dependent on what the user selects in the 1st.
So the default value of the 2nd is defined as a SQL Statement, select :$FLEX$.INDUSTRY_CODE from dual (where INDUSTRY_CODE is the value set name from the 1st).
We know the syntax is correct because if we actually hardcode a default value in the 1st attribute (select 'BLAH' from dual), then we do see that the default value for the 2nd attribute fills in with BLAH as well. However, we do not want that. We want the user to choose a value for the 1st attribute from the LOV, and then have the 2nd attribute default to that same value. This is the part that does not seem to work in OAF, but definitely used to work in Forms.

Depending on the specific characteristics of the product, these subsets may be divided by criteria such as age and gender, or other distinctions, like location or income. Marketing campaigns can then be designed and implemented to target these specific customer segments.
I would suggest start with Administartor tool->Manage->Marketing->
Marketing Manager->menu Help->Marketing Help
If I'm not wrong, I dont think current 11g version is capable of integrate with Siebel. I heard that its going to be with 11g 1.7 version.

Market Segmentation

Hi everyone.
We're launching C4C for our 1st customer which brings quite a few question...
Our customer does currently market segmentation, means that they split the market into segments like e.g. Antennas, Scientific, Industrial, etc..
Means customers could belong to more than 1 segment.
The segmentation is used to set campaigns etc... (define target groups)
Which would be the best approach? (have 2 ideas)

Territory Management (customer will anyway use territory Management for international salesOrg.) We could split each Sales Org part into corresponding market segment. That means that customers could be linked to more than one "territory"..? But if additional segmentation is requested the whole salesOrg has to be changed / appended....

But what happens if new customer is created within C4C.. I did not find a way to add it to a target Group from the customer view...
Are there any hints / suggestions / best practices?

IS Retail - Inventory - Retail price BWGV0 is not getting populated

Hi ,
We have activated IS retail industry specific indicator in SBIW. Fo some reason when I do RSA3 in '2LIS_03_BF' , all the stock movements are displayed but the retial price field BWGV0 is not getting populated. Do you guys have come across this situation ? Please let me know.

Activating the process key logic in R/3 for MM should be as simple as setting the correct industry in MCB_ (also found under SBIW), but if it doesn't work look at OSS note 353042. In the end haveto use trans BF11 to add an entry to a table, even though the plugin is 2003.1 on R/3 4.6C.

Values not getting populated in sapscript

Hi,
i have written a subroutine pool with ENTRY form . which is configured in NACE. when i run the T-code VT03N. in debugging mode in the subroutine i am getting the values . But the values are not gettng populated in sap script. open_form , write_form close_form and text elements are all used.
     the same code is copied and put in a report without ENTRY form and run directly then we are getting the values in script.
please let me know for any answers.
