Siebel Sync with Notes 8

Hi there,
We work with Siebel 7.8.2.3 and synchronise calender and contacts with Notes 6.5 via Siebel Client Sync. As Notes 6.5 is running out of support by April 09 we want to upgrade to Notes 8. Problem is, that Notes 8 version is not supported for Siebel Client Sync and after a test installation we found out that it is not working.
Has anyone of you an idea how we could enable Siebel Client Sync for Notes 8 or any other solution to sync calendar and contacts with Notes?

You can't go to icloud.com using Safari on your iPad, you have to go there using your computer. If you didn't do so, try going to icloud.com and check your notes using your computer browser.

I don't use iCloud for such things, but I believe you go System Prefs > iCloud and check the slot by Notes. Or have you tried that?

FIXED - Desktop manager crashes when syncing with Notes 8

Hi - first post, so be kind!
Have installed desktop manager 5.0.1, and trying to sync with Notes 8 calender. When reading the calender, desktop manager always crashes with the following error:
AppName: desktopmgr.exe   AppVer: 5.0.1.28   ModName: lnsections.dll
ModVer: 7.1.1.129   Offset: 001a32ed
Have looked through forum and not seen a fix that seems obvious to fix this. Any help would be greatful!

Connected to the USB, can you do a Restore > Advanced and select the critical databases?
Are you connected to the PC via USB to a rear PC USB port--not a USB hub, or front monitor port?

Syncing with Notes 8

Hello All,
I am having a devil of a time getting my device to sync with Notes 8. I am not using an Enterprise server, I just want to sync with my local notes files. I would like to sync my calendar and concacts. No place to host image, so I wil have to describe them.
Calendar - Select Lotus Notes, One way(doesn't seem to matter), Enter my notes Password, select the notes.ini file, press Next and get a dialog box (Lotus Notes Connector Error, Database specified does not exist or cannot be accessed).
Contacts. It lets me configure the Notes.ini and Names.nsf. When I actually Sync, I get the same Connector error.
TMO 8120, BDM 4.3.0.17, LN 8.0.1, XP Pro

For some reason sync with Notes 8 can be ugly. I have an 8830.
The recommendation to check the paths for the various files is a good one. Each company that implements Notes can choose where to put some of the files, and I know that my company's choices didn't come close to what the BB software seemed to expect. Using Notes 8 and Desktop 4.5, everything ran wonderfully well for months once I got the paths to the files correct.
Unfortunately, I upgraded to Desktop 4.6, and now nothing works. The problem is definitely not the paths. I'm getting a whole collection of weird error messages, including ones about Notes kernel, all kinds of fascinating ways for Desktop to blow up (including sometimes going into an endless loop of trying to sync and blowing up, then trying to sync...) and no successful sync since I was foolish enough to upgrade to 4.6. I'm in the process today of uninstalling 4.6, reinstalling 4.5, to see if it's the Desktop software upgrade (the timing was just too perfect, so I'm suspicious) or if my company pushed some kind of Notes upgrade that Desktop 4.6 doesn't like.
I'm afraid I may have to wipe out Desktop all together and do a clean 4.5 install before I know for sure.

Will notes in Mail 5.0 sync with Notes in latest versions of Microsoft Exchange server and Outlook Web Access?

Syncing with Notes

Hi. I have notes on my iPhone that I don't want to appear in Mail when I sync with my Mac. Is there a way to turn this off? I can't see an option to do this. Thanks.

You can turn notes syncing off totally. It's under the info tab that appears when you connect your iPhone and select it under Devices. Scroll down to the 'Other' section and clear the checkbox.
I haven't tried this recently because I have my notes synced via MobileMe but it worked in the past.

With iOS 7.0.4 Notes on iPhone don't sync with Notes on iPad

I upgraded both iPhone 4 and iPad 2 to iOS 7.0.4.
With iOS7 my Notes on iPhone don't sync with my Notes on iPad.
In both devices I have set iCloud ON for Notes.
In the Notes App I selected the iCloud Account.
But when I write a new Note on iPhone 4 it doesn't appear on iPad 2 and viceversa.
How can I fix this bug?

Old Purchases not syncing with Not Authorized Errors

Help --
I have had an iOS device and iTunes for over 7 years and have made a number of purchases. This was working fine up until this week. Only change was I deleted an old user account from a family member from the MBP. iTunes will not allow me to sync any of my purchases prior to August of last year and gives me a Not Authorized Error. I completely repaved my 4s and still have the problem. Similar errors when attempting to play on Apple TV (home sharing is enabled and works for all the content but this same group of purchased songs). I did the basics of authorizing and deauthorizing, yada yada.
Here is a screen shot that I get while syncing.
Called Apple support and they gave me the run around saying I'd used two differnt Apple ID's. The MBP has a different Apple ID but iTunes and my iPhone are all under the same ID, the same ID I have used for all my purchases.
Details.
MBP running OS X 10.8.2
iTunes 11.
iPhone 4s running 6.1.2.

Desktop Manager Crashes During Sync Phase with Notes Calendar

Hello All,
My Destop Software continually crashes at the point of Syncing with Lotus Notes Calendar. Every other part of Syncing with Notes works fine and sometimes I get a partial Sync with the Calendar, but consistently every time it crashes during this part of the process and then I get the Windows error window saying the software has encountered a problem and needs to close. Here are some other facts to help.
I am running V4.7 of the Destop Manager, latest downloaded from this web site.
PC is Win XP Proffesional, 2002 SP2. 3Gb RAM Duo Core 2GH
I have uninstalled/re-installed the Desktop Manager twice
I get other C Runtime errors with Device Manager on a random basis.
I have a BB Storm.
Anything else?
I have emailed the BlackBerry Support but seems to be a Black Hole with no response despite prompting them several times since putting in the email. I am a relatively educated PC user, My laptop is near new, I have many simple and sohpisticated applications installed with a (other than the BB Desptop application) very clean, well maintained and error free operating environment. This is a very disappointing BB first time experience.

Can't sync Outlook notes with iPhone, Please help!!!

I can't sync my Outlook's notes with iPhone, it just stopped working a few months back and no matter how i removed my email acoounts, restore it still won't work! please help!

I use outlook and just got a new work phone.
i had to go in and turn the icloud notes off. Then connect your phone, go into itunes under info, almost at the bottom is "Other" and in there you can sync with notes.
took me a while until i turned them off on the phone in icloud section.

Sync ipod with notes on my imac

Searched the manual to have my classic ipod sync with notes. Can't seem to get started. The manual refers to setting the ipod as an external disk within itunes. The step by step instructions don't seem to apply to my version of itunes - only recently updated. What am I doing wrong?

Impossible to unlock iphone if the device I synced with is now broken?????

I have a locked iPhone and the laptop I originally set it up with is now broken and has no Internet access. I can't work out how to restore my phone to unlock it, I have tried using an iPad or MacBook but says I can't do that until the phone is unlocked as it is not the original device I synced with.

Not sure what the problem is here. Have you forgotten your unlock code? Are you trying to restore your phone from iTunes? Just trying to get some details here.
And if your laptop is broken does that mean that you cannot turn your laptop on? Or just no internet access?
If the laptop still works without internet you should be able to start iTunes and connect the phone to it using the sync cable.
Please give us some more details.

Syncing iTouch notes and MacBook Stickies?

Is this possible to do? I'm a new MacBook Pro user (used HPs for years) and routinely used notes in Outlook which I have imported to Stickies on my MacBook... but would also like to see them as notes on my iTouch. I don't use Mail on the MacBook as I my email is yahoo.com which doesn't use POP. Any ideas? Thanks.

Notes from ipod touch will sync with notes in the Mail app.
You can look for apps in the app store that may accomplish what you want.

I am at a new office that uses Outlook (not Outlook Exchange) which does not sync with my mobile... I just got iCloud set up on my PC to sync my contacts, calendar, reminders, etc... The sync worked (not without flaws, but the other issues seem solvable... I think), so that i can now see all my appointments on both my phone and on my PC. The problem I am having is that iCloud moved all of my calendar items from Outlook into iCloud calendar and now when I send out meeting/calendar invites the recipients may accept them, but the meeting does not get added to their calendar. This is a huge problem and may mean that i need to turn off iCloud.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am replying to my own post here as I seem to have fixed the problem.
I do have some calendars that are shared. Some of those are shared with users who have time zone support turned on. So i activated time zone support on my iphone, then deleted my icloud subscription. I then signed in to icloud again and voila... problem solved.
It is a weird one as the other calendar views were always fine and when you opened an event that appeared in the wrong day (on list view), the correct date of the event was shown in the information...
