Cannot connect to abap server, please check your abap server connection

Installed new NW BPC 7.5 system on windows 2008 server but get the error as follows
when logon to BPC server:
"Cannot connect to abap server, please check your abap server connection".
"define system user group tab" is inactive in server manager also.
Server Diagnostic errors for SAP Server Connection:
Database Connection
Status Connection Error
as per note 1385864 but this note has not helped get past this status with installation.
User Type value is either set to Communication Data for all three users (BPC_ADMIN, BPC_SYSADMIN, BPC_USER).
and these accounts are not locked.
Any ideas for these errors?

Hi Aidan,
"Your logon id (domain\user) does not have SystemAdmin rights; some functionality
is disabled."
This is caused by the fact that the user you are logged in as isn't in the UJA_SVR_DEFAULT table, the SYSADMIN field needs to have a value that contains your user id (i.e. DOMAIN\USER) . You can set this up with the UJA3_WRITE_SYS_USERS program.

Aidan, sounds like something went terribly wrong during your activation process. Do this, Clean the appset with the UJS_ACTIVATE_CONTENT program and make sure that everything is completely deleted. Make sure that there is a lot of memory available for the activation and try it again.

In web dynpro ABAP we follow MVC(Model View Controller) architecture.
In this object oriented ABAP is used to provide background functionality. Here, your ABAP skills can be utilized to the fullest. Programming in web dynpro ABAP is different than conventional ABAP programming. Here we strictly follow MVC architecture in terms of controller interface. Also there are many wizards available so that we can directly pick the code from wizards.
e.g We can call BAPI through a service call in web dynpro application. Thus automatically backgroud code for BAPI execution will be generated.

1) This is basic Info of WD ABAP
As the name suggests Web Dynpro for ABAP uses exactly the same meta model as its cousin Web Dynpro for Java. A Web Dynpro component, a Web Dynpro view, a Web Dynpro model, a Web Dynpro controller have the same semantics both for ABAP and Java. The main difference is the designtime environment, the development infrastructure and the runtime environment.
The designtime environment is properly embedded in the ABAP Workbench where Web Dynpro artifacts are simply a new category like BSP applications or classical dynpro based applications before. Also no surprises regarding the development infrastructure. The correction and transport system keeps track on all changes that are done, versions them and helps to propagate the Web Dynpro application from development to production like you would do with ordinary BSP or dynpro-based applications.
Last not least the execution platform is the ABAP server that produces application content ready to be integrated in the NetWeaver Portal seamlessly. Features like portal eventing can be used between applications written in ABAP or applications developed with Java.

Help in ABAP code please!

We have upgraded to ECC6.0 and I am trying to fix some syntax errors. Here is the piece of code with the problem:

I am kind of new to ABAP and went throught the documentation but could someone please tell me what "old_zsops to old_zzsops" does?
The code above is causing the dump with error "Error when attempting to IMPORT object "OLD_ZSOPS"". I went through the code and I found that old_zsops and new_zsops is not declared at all and it doesn't give any compilation errors! It goes to dump when I execute the problem. If it is required I would send the whole code but I see the following declarations in the code:

Using flat file to upload in ABAP. Please help. Urgent

Hi all,
I am using a CSV excel file to upload some data to my ABAP program. Thje file contains material numbers as one of the fields. But if I enter the material number 11910892E80, excel converts it to 1.19E+87. Since I am using this file in the program to extract some fields from MARA, i am getting an error 'Material number does not exist'.
I know that we can avoid this problem by changing the format type of the cell to 'text' in excel. I want to know if there is any other way to rectify this problem. I have to use an excel file for upload. Notepad will not do.
Please help me solve this problem. It is urgent.

If it is comma delimited file (CSV format) you can directly read the whole file and into a table with one field.
Loop at that table.
Use split a comma into fields of your internal table.

Question on security in ABAP. Please help!

I have a question on security in ABAP program.
I have a ABAP program which has a transaction attached.
I have added authorization check in ABAP program(Progran level security).
I have also attached the authorization object to the transaction.(Transaction level security)
If an end user runs the transactionm, then which authorization check will fire first? Will it be transaction level?
If I have web enabled my ABAP program via SICF (in other words, ITS). Then when I try to run my ITS service in the browser will the transaction level authorization fire? or Will the program level authorization fire?
Please help me understand this security aspect.

ABAP Urgent Please Help

We have transported some programs from A->B
Now, In A every thing is working fine. But the transports in B are failing with one error saying
Program YR****, Include Z***: Syntax error in line 000134
The type '/1FB/MD_________2S300YJ' is unknown.
This type is a dataelement of predefined type CHAR LENGTH 6.
I checked this type in System A it is there But this Field in B is not there. I checked in Data Dictionary.
PLEASE HELP

If there are any hotpacks applied in A but not B will cause the same problem.
Check out with basis guys. Hope this should not be a problem.
Make sure all the hot packs (if any applied) in system A is transported to System B. if not, ask them transport them first.
Check out the same field in production to make sure it is there. Or check out the transports if there is any transport missing .

Autogeneration issue in ABAP----urgent please.

I want to do the Auto generation technique.
Like I have role code - RC001.
Max value i have RC007.
I need this value to be autogenerated that automatically it wil be RC008.
For this I have used SPLIT RC and 007 separate but when i add 007 its giving 8 as a output not 008.
I need ouput as RC008.
Please help me.

I have seen some tutorial on Adaptive RFC but it talks about webdynpro for Java.
Can I use "Call function XYZ destination A10" statement in webdynpro for ABAP application?

am doing same thing for my current SRM implementation.I am taking data to SRM server from another R/3 server .
This is solution I have used
1) First of all I have made ABAP connection in SM59 .
Go to SM59 .In ABAP Connection creat ABAP connection with system with which u want communicate .
Eg I am connection with Systems PB1.
So i developed Connection call PB1CLNT800.
2) In my requirement I have taken data in my context from another r/3,
I have give called RFC in my supply function of node.
Call to RFC is as usual.
In my case,
CALL FUNCTION 'RFC_MATNR'
DESTINATION 'PB1CLNT800'
TABLES
IT_MATNR = IT_MATNR.
Onwards I have read my itab IT_MATNR and populated data to context.
Hope solution will serve your purpose.

Mass generation program in ABAP! Please help.

I have a list of COPA programs that use some internal tables whose structures have been changed from 4.6C to ECC6.0. When I go to transaction KE30 it shows the list of reports and I have to select one at a time and click on program --> generate to regenerate the program in ECC6.0. I have a big list of reports and I am just wondering if there is any program/FM that SAP provides to regenerate programs in one shot! The program should allow me to enter a range like Z* so that I can regenerate programs in one attempt. I already looked at SGEN and it does not serve my purpose! I also looked at transaction KEMO that has "regenerate" button but again I have to select one report at a time to regenerate! Please let me know how I could acheive this! Rewards assured.

Thanks Ian. It is little tough for me to explain here. I am going to transaction ke30 that shows me a list of reports and select one in the list and click on program--> generate. When the program gets compiled and regenerated, SAP assign some crazy program name for the report! For example if I am selecting ZXXX1 from the list and clicked on program-regenerate, SAP assign some crazy program name GP3GW9LXUQECNX8RXXXXXXXXXXXX instead of ZXXX1! I have 160 reports in my list with names for example ZXXX2, ZXXX3 and so on, but they do not exist when I look for them in se84. Once I regenerate SAP assign some program name like GPXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. I am not sure how I could run 160 programs in one batch without picking one by one manually from the list! That's why I was asking if there is some program that could regenerate all the reports in one shot without manual intervention! Please let me know if any one has any ideas! I will reward points to everyone.

thanks srini. i added the code specified by you in the update routine. But it goes in a indefinate loop and remains in the yellow state in the monitor.
till psa the data is loaded fine. though few records(20), it remains in a yellow state.
what is wrong?
