Job Opening for Instrumentation/Testing Engineer
At Siemens Power Corp, I have an opening in my Testing and Instrumentation
Department. The responsibility of my collective staff of 25 is to support
all testing needs for our internal customers. This testing ranges from
performance acceptance tests to research and development activities.
Instrumentation ranges from static pressures and temperatures to control
system signals, strain gages, proximity sensors, dynamic pressures, etc.
Support includes managing testing projects financially and by timeline,
instrumenting parts, travelling to sites, setting up equipment and software,
conducting test, and reducing data for our customers. Primarily my staff
supports site tests in the US, but international travel is involved as well.
The main Siemens Corp location is in Germany and we are a global company.
This particular position requires the ability to manage testing projects,
develop software to handle data acquisition, conduct the tests, manage
technician assistance, and develop future software/hardware advancements
within the department. Define HW based on test requests, assemble HW for
tests, configure and network pc HW, write and configure SW for tests, and
travel to sites. The position requires 30% travel. This is a unique
position that allows an individual to develop data acquisition solutions,
while also providing the opportunity to project manage and work within
teams.
Position requires experience in the following areas: LabVIEW Development
Software, PC Networking, MODBUS, FFT experience, OPC, MS Office, PC
Hardware, DAT tape recorders, Windows operating systems, Ethernet
functionality.
Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited
University or College. Salary and Grade will be based on years of

Need Assistance - iRecruitment Link "Search Open Positions at Oracle"

I am a frequent user of the iRecruitment site to search for open Oracle Positions and have successfully accessed the site in the past. I am using Internet Explorer 8.
When I access the link "Open Positions at Oracle (Please use Internet Explorer), a new session pops up and I receive the error message "Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Webpage". "What you can try - Diagnose the problem". Diagnosing the problem leads to nothing. In troubleshooting, my internet connection is good and I can access all other sites on the Oracle iRecruitment page (all other links, etc.).
Is the site down? How can I prevent this from happening and use the iRecruitment site to search for open positions.

I would suggest you try these options -
1. Use a different browser (like Firefox), or a different PC, to see if you can replicate the error.
2. Give feedback at the site stating your issue. Forum members will not be able to help, nor are these forums monitored by Support.

Remembering last opened position

Numbers doesn't seem to be able to remember the last opened position of a spreadsheet. Whenever I close a large spreadsheet, and reopen it, it is never where I left it, but always several pages up. Is this something I am doing wrong? Or, is it not possible to remember the last position?

Thanks for the comments, but I still think it shouldn't be doing what it's doing. In Pages, the last position is displayed upon reopening the file even when there is zoom to 125% or 150%. In Numbers, only 100% will redisplay the last position. As a matter of interest, I've got round the problem by increasing the font size to a size readable at 100%. It is only a workaround as it is too large a size for my Macbook, and I keep the files in sync. However you can't win them all, so to speak!
I must thank all of you who have replied to my query. I think this Forum is ideal, not only for direct answers, but also to get the grey cells working in different directions.

If the screen is blurry, there might be something wrong with the iPad hardware. That shouldn't happen if the iPad is only one month old. You can try rebooting one more time and see if that corrects it. If it doesn't - and if you have an Apple Store nearby in the Phillipines - you might want to take it to the store and let an Apple Genius look at it.

How can I get Numbers to retain last opened position across my devices?

I am a regular user of Numbers on my iMac (mid-2010), my iPad v3 and iPhone 5s.
Ever since Mavericks came in and the many iWork updates that happened alongside it I have been unable to keep the same cell position in sync across my devices. So when opening one of my main spreadsheets it always opens at the top and I always have to scroll down to update my data.
I don't remember this being a problem between iOS devices before that, it always went to the correct location. Until Mavericks I didn't sync with the Mac version as it was too clunky. They did a great job of fixing the sync part but lost this feature.
Hope this makes sense. To summarise, my use case is that I open a large spreadsheet on any device to update it but it does not take me to my last entry, it goes to the top of the spreadsheet. That is not helpful to me, I want the last entry point regardless of idevice used to access it.

Can default opening position of image window be adjusted in Photoshop CS5?

When having to deal with large numbers of files any repetitive task on each one, no matter how small, becomes tiresome and is the reason why actions came into being. On opening an image its default position is to the extreme left edge of the screen but in a position slightly behind the tools menu. Although double clicking the hand tool rectifies this it should not be necessary. Is there a way to make a small offset adjustment to this default position as well as make the image auto adjust to fit screen on opening an image?

This has nothing to do with the actions, it's simply because you use an undocked UI. Use a docked workspace and neither of this is an issue - the files will open centered in the workspace and not be overlapped by any palettes.

I have actions in CS1 to open :
"Levels" window so I can individually adjust & save
"File info" window so I can individually add text & save
The former window I can move & all following windows will open in new position.
The latter I can move but next image always opens centrally again.
Any way to make "File info" window open off to one side?

Probably not. Actions do not store any UI data, this is handled automatically by the program and it will eitehr use the last active position of a palette or the default one. What you see is probably meant to be this way (the info window being in the context of each specific image and thus using default position, the levels palette being a global panel and using the last active). You could at best try your graphics driver's dialog repositioning options ands see if the info window responds to it...

You are not opening the right app. There are two copies of AE in your program folder, open the one that does not say Render Engine.

Can not open position hierarchy diagrammer

Dear All,
I met a problem when I tried to open editor in position hierarchy diagrammer. Nothing is happened after I press the button "Open Editor" and I can't operate anything. I only close the applet window to quit the EBS.
My EBS version is 12.0.6 which is upgraded from 12.0.4
Any idea about this problem??

You could also try and enable the java console (Start --> Control Panel --> Java --> Advanced tab --> Select "Show console" radio button), then close all browsers and try again. It should open a java console when you try and invoke the diagrammer and should show error messages in the console.

Bing Search engine opens topics in a new window

When I am searching for something using Bing, it opens the link in a new window so I have two windows up; the window for my search and the window for the result. I don't think it's with Firefox but with MSN Bing, but I do not know how to contact Bing for troubleshooting. Internet Explorer does not do this so I am not sure if it is Bing or Firefox. I have set the tab setting not to open new windows in a new tab and I have set it to open windows in a new tab and nothing changes.

   You can try with this:
   You can create a new com.sap.km.cm.basicsearch iview from template.
   Then, edit it and one of its field is: Layout Set for Search Results, here you can specify your layout.
   I mean, you can duplicate SearchResultLayoutSet standard layout set. (system administration->system configuration->km->cm->user interface->setting->layout.
After that, you modify its Resource Renderer. There you can see Target Window Type field (show advanced options), replace blank value by self ( The resource is opened in the same window)

ACNS - Content Engine Pre-Positioning Video

Is it possible to load content onto a Content Engine CDNFS partition directly without using CDM? We have large videos that we would like to get the content from a PC to the Content Engine at the remote location

The CDNFS partition and its database is managed exclusively by the CDM Manager. You can't upload files directly to that partition without using CDM. Thanks!
