Sigh...njow outgoing emails are a problem

So now, all of a sudden, my Blackberry doesnt seem to be able to SEND emails on my @mydomain email address. Emails come in, but dont go out. No apparent reason. I pulled battery and hair, both. No result. I read somewhere to switch off ssl authentication. Did that. Didnt work. I deleted and recreated the email account. Didnt work. Maybe i should just return this and get the iPhone 5. The gmail works fine.

Is this what you are saying? I can mix the receive and send mail servers?
that is correct.  you can mix servers.

After I changed my gmail password my outgoing emails are no longer being sent from my gmail account, but are being sent from my spouse's account so that replies go into her inbox, not mine.

    rigoran1231,
You may have a corrupt preference, in order to correct this open Mail - Preferences - Accounts and re-input all the preferences for the account. While they may look ok one or more may be corrupt.

  • My outgoing emails are being reformatted. I do not want this.

Outgoing emails are being reformatted (see image). This happens when text is pasted in and when emails are typed out in Thunderbird.
This reformatting occurs even when sending to myself.
Compose in HTML is on and all settings have been reset.
How do I send emails as typed?
    Cheers

  • My outgoing emails are labeled as No Sender.

Have noticed a lack of response to emails over past couple weeks, and have discovered that the mails all indicate No Sender, instead of my own name.  I have no clue why my outgoing email would have No Sender.  Any assistance appreciated.

Open Mail > Preferences > Accounts
Do you see your name listed in Full Name field? If not, add your name then click out of the account to save.

None of my emails are being sent. I'm getting an error about my smt address being incorrect but I don't know how to correct it or why it's suddenly wrong. This started about 3 weeks ago but I just realized it today. Can anyone help me figure this out?

    Contact your service provider.
I have Verizon FiOS service and this month, Verizon migrated their service over to a more secure service that uses SSL and different port numbers. As a result, the old mail configuration became obsolete and if it's not changed gives the same error that you are describing. Verizon's customer support page notes the changes (and they've been sending out e-mails).

I am able to receive messages on my IMac using Outlook but am unable to send.  I've had no trouble in the past but began receiving the following messages today.
5.7.8 Bad username or password (Authentication failed).
Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods.
I am able to send messages using this account on my IPhone and IPad so the IMac is the only place I am having issues.  Any advice?

Here are the correct settings. They have never changed since iCloud debuted a year ago.
    Server information
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
    Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
    Port: 993
Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    Password: Your iCloud password
    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
    Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
    Port: 587
    SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    Password: Your iCloud password
Note: If you receive errors using SSL, try using TLS instead. SSL is required for both IMAP and SMTP connection with iCloud. POP is not supported by iCloud.

As stated in the Spam FAQ page, you will not get any response when sending the message to [email protected] for review. You attach the message that you are unable to send, and they review it. Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the filter will either be updated to allow the content that was previously blocked, or it will be determined to be a legitimate block and no changes will be made.
Some troubleshooting steps you can try:
If you have a signature, try removing one line at a time from it and attempting to send the message again. Some signatures look like "ads" to the filters, apparently.
If you are using a pop3 client (Outlook, Outlook Express, etc.) try sending your message from the verizon.net website. If this resolves the issue, then it is something that your client is adding to the message that is causing it to be blocked.
If the Subject line of your message has a whole bunch of "Fwd: Fwd: Re: Fwd:" try removing some of them.
Remove any links/URLs from the email one at a time to isolate if one of them is causing the block.
Some people have suggested sending the message to [email protected] for investigation. This may work for you as well.

  • Outgoing emails are sometimes not being delivered---

I have 4 cases of various addressees not receiving the email I sent, despite that they show in my Sent mailbox. When I try to contact Apple via email, I get an autoresponse that they do not handle this type of problem. Does anyone know how I can get some attention? Or should I just give up and go to gmail or back to aol?

For those recipients not receiving your messages, It could be the recipient's incoming mail server is blocking all messages sent by .Mac's SMTP server - .Mac's SMTP server may be blacklisted. If so and In this situation, you will not receive a bounced back error message indicating the message was not accepted by the recipient's incoming mail server since the incoming mail server "thinks" you are a spammer.
Are you also accessing an email account and SMTP server provided by your ISP used for connecting to the internet with the Mail.app? If so, try selecting/using your ISP's SMTP server to send messages with your .Mac account which is invisible to all recipients. If the above is happening, this should or may resolve it.

  • Attachments with emails are a PROBLEM!

Boy...I just dread having to send attachments with emails. Even a simple, one page flyer in pdf form! I have high speed internet connection - but no matter what size the attachment the emails just won't send. They repeatedly time out and/or have the drop down menu pop up to select another server (have three different email addresses/servers). No matter what server I use the emails will sit in the "outbox" all day and sometimes more than one day before they actually get sent. Does this happen to anyone else? Ideas to fix? THANKS!!

I am referring to new email messages, generated by me - sending to a recipient - that include attachments (usually pdf's) from my MacBook Pro. It is quite frustrating.... Thanks for your interest in helping me with this!

  • Why are Images ocassionally stripped from outgoing emails?

Ocassionally, images in outgoing emails are stripped, leaving only an empty box with a small red 'x' in the corner. How do I fix this?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

    Hi, nommo48.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand you are experiencing an issue with the outgoing server of your Gmail account on your Mac.  I would check your gmail account to see if two-step verification is enabled as this can cause issues with sending and receiving mail.  If the issue persists, take a look at the troubleshooting article below.

  • Emails are not compressing

I experience a problem with the emails, I am using BIS on a BB curve, carrier: vodafone romania. sent emails are not compressing, so that an email without attachments has 4 kb  - as much as an computer sent email. when I attach a picture or two the email has even 2 MB (two pictures attached). what do you think this problem might be?
the custumer care operator said that the outgoing emails are not compressed, only the incoming ones - is this true? anyhow, the vodafone romania custumer care knows nothimg about BB solution.
p.s. before receiving service books, when playing around with composing emails (without BIS beeing activated), I`ve been announced that the pictures in the attach "may be reduced in size".after BIS beeing activated, I am not announced anymore.

  • HELP with outgoing emails please

Hi there, I need a help with emails on my mac Air, outgoing emails are not working, everything is set OK (all works on my I phone), but when I try to send an email it says: The certificate for this server is invalid. what should I do?

    Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select My Certificates from the Category list in the sidebar. From the list of certificates shown, delete any that are marked with a red X as expired or invalid.
Quit and relaunch Mail. Test. If the problem isn't resolved, continue.
Export all remaining certificates, delete them from the keychain, and reimport. For instructions, select
    Help ▹ Keychain Access Help
from the menu bar and search for the term "export" in the help window. Export each certificate as an individual file; don't combine them into one big file.
Test again. If the test fails, delete all the certificates again, then reinstall them from fresh copies.
