% sign display in 3X & 7X template

Hi
   I had a Query (7X) which is defined calculation on a cell editor. So of them are % Calculations (%, %A).
   We are using the same query in 3X & 7X web template.
    In 3X when the report is executed all the columns in which % functions are used are displaying values with % sign (Ex: 39.40 is displayed as 39.40%)
    But in 7X template sometimes % sign is not displayed and some times it is being displayed and in the Column header % sign is appearing
   Is there any setting I can make so that % sign will be displayed all the time just like 3X

Hi ...i had the same issue with a customer and i found that in BI 7 assume that % is using like a unit of measure and always you will see the % in the header, its a new format issue of 7.0

# sign displayed in report

Hi,
In one of our report, # sign displayed in the plant column(not for all plants) for the selection only for material batch list 714.
I just checked in MB51 to find out the plant, but I can see only the plants which are assigned(around 7 plants). So how can I check the proper plant in R/3 and how to ensure the proper plant is coming through.
Please give me the solution

Hi,
I checked in the data target with the material and batch and I got the results with all the plants available in R/3 assigned to those materials and batch. And in the data target, I got two records in which no plant is displaying. So thats why in my report # sign is displayed if I am correct.
Why the plant doesnt contain the data. What is the reason behind this and how can I displayed the report correctly with the plant.

Negative sign display for CURR field in ALV grid report

I have a field BETRG defined as CURR field of length 15, decimal places 2. The value may be negative or positive. In case of negative values I am using EDIT_MSK option in the field catalog to bring the negative sign to the left of the value as shown below.

On displaying the report using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY' as shown above, when the value of BETRG is a smaller number like say 624, then the ALV output appears as '-            624.00' instead of '-624.00'.
Is there any way that I can remove the space in between the negative sign and the number before displaying the ALV output using 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'?

I tried this and found that this doesn't work in case of currency field. Once you move back the char field (with negative sign to the left and condensed) to the currency field, the negative sign again moves back to the right.
I think that the only way a negative sign can be brought to the left of the currenct field is by using edit_mask of field catalog as I have shown above.

"-" sign displays in right side in screen - we want in left side.

When we are running on SAP Screen in earlier system any where if you see negative value,
the sign will be shown in " Left Side" of the number like ( Example : - 3451.00 )
We are on ECC 6.0
when we see similar case in ECC 6.0 system it shows as 3451.00 -

How to get the HTML data formatted display using the Rrt template

hi,
I have a table which has data with html tags in it.
eg as shown below.
sample text is as follows:
 
MY TEST HERE HAS SOME BOLD TEXT IN IT. THIS WHOLE LINE SHOULD BE BOLD and the rest of the text will not be bold.
 
now I want to be able to display this text with the proper format using BI publisher / rt template.
my report shows the tags as is instead of being formatted.
please let me know how i can fix this

Field displays AFRange_validate in PDF template

I have created a pdf template, and added a few fields for calculation. I have set validation rules for the field, but when I run the report, the form field displays AFRange_validate as the default value, I have tried giving default value as 0, but no success. Anyone out there to help?

PDF templates do not support barcode fonts in the same way as RTF templates. I have to admit, not having tried it Im just thinkning out of the box. But you ought to be able to hightligh a field in the Adobe form and set the font to a barcode one on your client. The key will be to ensure that the PDF engine can access the font on the server. And thereby hangs a tale - does the PDF engine 'look' for fonts when processing a PDF template. I'll drop the dev team a mail to ask.

Plus signs displaying in calculated field

I have created a form with a table that has a row that calculates automatically. I then created another form that I copied and pasted the table into. In the second form, when my users display or print the form with Adobe 7.0 Standard, the calculating field now displays a plus sign when nothing is entered to calculate. How do I make the plus sign disappear?

Actually, that was my first instinct as well, but it is not the issue. No matter how large I make the fields, no matter where I put them (IE not touching any other fields) - the plus signs still display. The really frustrating thing is that they won't display for me, just for other users. I have Adobe 7.0 Pro and we have just updated our users with Adobe 7.0 Standard. The plus signs do not display for me, but they do for the other users. To make the problem even less consistent, I had the exact same table in another form and in that form the users have used that table without any issues. I merely copied and pasted the table into the new form. I can't see any settings that have been changed. Any ideas?? Even a work around would be great.

MIME object/Image(JPG) not displayed in the WAD template

Hello all,
I uploaded a .JPG file to mime repository. I used that object my WAD template. When i excute the Temapate, image file is not displayed just showing X mark.
But i am able to open/see the file from the mime repository.
What could be the problem? please let me know.

Thanks for your reply. I have found the problem.
Imaage that i have kept in mime belongs to https protocol. BSP application with SSL, needs https to execute in the browser.
when i execute the template, by default WAD is using http protocol, so the image is not displaying, when i use https, the image is being displayed in the WAD output.

Default Display Points in Page Templates

Ver 1.6 adds Default Display Points in the Page Templates. As I understand it these would be the default positions for Breadcrumb menus and Sidebars.
How do these work? If you create a region, based on a breadcrumb style menu, you must specify a Display Point. The breadcrumb menu region uses that location rather than the Default Display Point.
How do these work?
And whats a sidebar? it is not a menu type

Since the format had to be repeated over many pages, I just built a custom type of Region that I use with the button positions that I need for which I modified the CSS to include my formatted classes well as the Region for only those button position that I need.

HTML tags not displayed when using Data Template

Hi All...
I'm developing a BI Publisher report in which one of the columns is a clob data type. I'm using an xsl stylesheet to format the data present in the clob column.
I've developed the report using data template as the data set. The problem is the clob column which has the HTML tags where not displayed properly...for example
the tag starting with
<
is replaced with
& lt;
I did a couple of searches in this forum and in tim's blog but couldn't find a proper solution...

I came to know that data template cannot generate proper HTML tags for release 10.1.3.2. Is there any work around way to get the proper HTML tags when data template is used as a data set?

Issue could be with the data that is selected in the other environment. It generally happens that the ALV will not give the same results as in the DEV in the other systems.
Possible errors could be the control break statements in the loop...endloop block. validate the correctness of the control break stmts if any.

Conditional display in the row template!

I created a report template and my report shows like this:
col1 col2 col3 col4 col5
a 4 5 6 7
b 4 8 7 2
Total 8 13 13 9
I am able to display all the above, but the column name should be "Total" at the end of the report when i am displaying the totals. totals also coming from the database, so i am not calculating here.
Shall i put any condition saying that if the col1 is null then col1 should display "Total".
Please suggest.

Negative Sign displaying as '/' in alv

I am using ALV Display, the field has a negative value in internal table but while displaying the negative sign is converted to '/' sign.
Can you plz tell me how to correct the same?

Method SET_SIGN ofClass CL_SALV_COLUMN is used to set the sign. Method HAS_SIGN is used to check if it is displayed in the output.
