Sign in details problem

Hello, I need help. I signed out from my skype and can't sign in again. I can sign in to the webpage with the same name/password but not on the desktop companion. I use skype version 6.22.81.105 and I have updated IE to the latest version.  I have deleted the shared.xml file and tried everything I found on the skype community board. Can anyone help?

What version of Windows are you on (XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 )? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.
P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.

    Skype 6.3 is more than 1½ years old version. All Skype versions older than 6.14 are now retired and can no longer be used. The currently latest Skype version is 6.21. You need to update your Skype.

  • ICloud sign-in details not remembered

    Every time iCloud loads - so at least once a day -  I'm asked for my sign-in details, despite ticking the Keep Me Signed In box.  I had the problem with Safari originally, Internet Explorer was the same, but Firfox worked properly until two weeks ago. Any suggestions please?  Might it be my security software (AVG?)

    I'm having the same problem, it started in IE 9 , now Chrome's doing it as well. I haven't made any changes to the settings on either browser, this ones all on you Apple.

    Hello. I am using Skype since its launch and yesterday started showing this message everytime I try to log in. I tried logging in on the Skype website but that didn't work aswell. I have Avast! antivirus. I created another account to keep in touch with my friends and this one worked when I tried to enter the password and the login. Need help! I have a Windows 7 32 bits. My skype account is not linked with my Microsoft account, I tried "linking" them together but it happens the same message. In the Skype website, the message it shows is: "The connection has failed".

    same problem here. I've been using Skype with my Skype name for like more than 10 years. 
    Now, 5 minutes ago, it just disconnected and I cannot login with that Skype name anymore. Nor in Skype, nor on the web page.  The message i get is : 
    Sorry, we didn’t recognize your sign-in details. Please check your Skype Name and password, then try again.
    I have also tried another accounts and they work normally. My Skype name seems like just dissapeared. 
    Please solve this problem !

    My Skype is not working since a week now. When i tried to log on to Skype from my Macbook Air (Mid 2011) it says "Skype didn't recognize your sign in details please check your Skype name and password then try again". I have done the following steps but issue still persist
    Operating System: Mevericks 10.9.4
    Step No:1
    I deleted the shared.xml file from library
    Reinstalled Mevericks then formatted my Harddrive and downgraded to Mountain lion X
    Issue is still there and I am hopeless because I have contacted the Skype support and searched the google for help, read different blogs but I haven't found any Solution.
    Is there any one who can help me please?

    But I am assuming that when I make the installer, the 32-bit Run Time Engine is appened with the installer, as show below

    The application runs queries to fetch data from database in SQL server 2008, and for that I am using a Microsoft SQL Native Client 2008 R2 64 bit ( this is the only version that installs on either PC, even the one on which I developed my LV Application).
    I am not using any driver, only toolkits for reports - and for that I un-checked the "Remove unused polymorphic VI instances" when making the executable, otherwise LV throws up an exception that share variable are not being included.
    Yes I did reboot every time after I ran the installation.
    Still getting the same error.

    If you have the original iPad, 5.1.1 is as high as you can go.
    You will have to purchase the app again if you no longer have the old Apple ID in order to update the app. If the apps still functions, you can use it as is but you will not be able to upgrade without using the old ID.

  • Everytime I go to get into Firefox the Windows Live Sign in comes up.This has been happening since I installed Windows 7 and it won't remember sign in details.How can I get rid of Windows Live sign in??

    I am currently using Windows 7 and when I go to try and get Fire fox up a running the Window Live Sig in site comes up. This never happened when I was using Vista.
    The Windows Live sign in site will not remember the sign in details.
    I use My MSN/Sympatico home page as my default site

    * Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
    * In [[Private Browsing]] mode all cookies are session cookies that expire if that session is ended, so websites won't remember you.
    * Do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
    Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and password exceptions.

    I am so distrusting of e-mails received from several websites I maintain accounts with, being that spoof e-mail is so popular, that upon receipt, I will not follow any links provided (redirects happen so fast that it is not easy to watch what is happening) and instead sign in to the website itself and check my account details.  I suggest you do the same with your Skype account: sign on to your account dashboard, make sure that your account's registered e-mail address is accurate and valid, and then proceed to change your account password.

    Hello! I have a microsoft account. To be honest, not sure whether I had a skype account too with this microsoft account. When I try to sign in to skype desktop, I get the error message "Sorry, we didn't recognize your sign-in details". I can sign in fairly using microsoft account on the www.skype.com website but not on desktop client. I am using windows xp sp3. Also when I try to recover password or username for skype, it only gives one of the microsoft account and prompt me to reset microsoft password if I try to reset password. Please help me out. I have tried reinstalling skype and reinstalling. I can sign in other skype accounts here. Those are not  microsoft account but skype accounts.

    Hi,
    your Microsoft account (MSA) works as a your Skype account. Or rather: Your MSA is your Skype account So just make sure you click "Microsoft account" on the blue Skype sign in page and then enter your email and MSA password to sign in to Skype.
    When you want to recover the password for this MSA you indeed need to take the recovery flow for your MSA and not a Skype one.

    Try to reset all Skype settings. Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder. Restart Skype. N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

  • How to sign in?  (problem with username and/or password)

    I created an account long ago for the Support Communities with an Apple ID:  xxx.mac.com.
    I created an account not so long ago for iTunes with an Apple ID:  xxx.gmail.com.
    Where they suppost to be the same?  Wasn't sure.  In any event, I've been using them both without a hitch.  Then I realized that I could have a password recovery problem with my Support Communities account because I haven't had the xxx.mac.com email address for several years now.
    Problem:  When I use my older Apple ID for Support Communities, it will not allow me to change my email to my current xxx.gmail.com address.  I suspect it recognizes the address is already being used with me newer Apple ID for iTunes.  My solution was to simply ditch the older ID and try signing in with my newer ID.  Unfortunately with that route, I get:
    "We're sorry.  Your account could not be created due to system issues.  Please contact Apple Support Communities with the information below to create your account."  [Which I've done, but no response.]
    Questions:  Are the ID support to be the same or different?  Either way, it doesn't really matter to me, but I either need to update my address for the older ID or be able to use my newer ID in Support Communities.  Because of this, I'm unable to use any type of email notification and I'm afraid I could have a problem with password recovery if I were in that position.

    Problem solved and completely my error.
    My login with the old Apple Discussions was [email protected]  At some point, with the new Apple Support Communities, some time ago, I was prombed to create a new account and I did so.  My username was simply "xxx" without the "@mac.com".
    So that was the problem.  My old [email protected] still had my old address.  I kept logging in with this ID and kept trying to update my address.  Where I thought it was recognizing that this address was already used with my iTunes account, it was because it was used with my newer Support Communities ID (xxx) that I didn't even remember I had created.
    Turned out it was something so simple.  (I hate when that happens.)  I had to play my "idiot card".
    Thanks to Apple support for the direct email correspondence that finally got me on the right track.
