Sign in Issue on pc but not on Lync throughOWA.

Hello,
We have an issue with one of our users. He is able to use Lync through OWA but not with Lync 2010 client. Our infrastructure is Lync Server 2013 On-Premise + Exchange 2010 On-Premise.
I tried to sign-in my own computer with his account without success.
I got this error :
"Sign-in didn't work.
You didn't get signed in. It might be your sign-in address or logon credentials."
I already deleted then recreated his Lync account with the Lync Control Panel, but it did not resolve the issue. I know that this user has a previous Lync account on another domain on our AD forest that has been deleted.
Does anyone have an idea or where to look for ?

Good troubleshooting steps, Eason, but I am wondering if they may be unnecessary since Jonatan has already tried logging in with the problematic user account on his own computer (where your login presumabley works without issue?).
At any rate, this does indeed sound tricky. I am having a hard time thinking of why a user account would be unable to sign in from a desktop client, but not have issue in OWA. Is it possible to also try signing him in on a mobile device, assuming you have Edge
access setup and the user is allowed External access via policy? Also, my advice at this point is to take a good look at the 'Lync-UccApi-0.UccApilog' log file in this directory: 'C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\Tracing\.'
If the file looks too big and cumbersome, try deleting the file with the user logged out, and then have them try the login again. The file should be recreated, and will only have the data relating to his sign-on attempt. If you find anything interesting in
it, but need further help with interpreting what you found, feel free to copy it here, and I will do my best to assist!

    I tried to update the firmware but ran into some strange issues. First of all according to google, the drive is manufactured by Panasonic. Toshiba doesn't make their own drives? For this reason I wonder if it is improperly detecting the drive make/model.
    Anyways I downloaded the firmware update for it, version 1.03. It is a MAT**bleep**A UJDA760 (going from memory, model may be slightly diff like UDJA). When I run the firmware update it doesn't detect the drive at all and says it is for a THINKPAD?? Weird...
    Also, if you have a link to a guide for removing this drive I would appreciate it. I want to verify that windows is detecting the model/maker correctly. It is not one of the simple hotswap types, it looks like I have to remove at least the entire bottom of the laptop.
    I am working on this for a client, I do tech repair on craigslist but my laptop hardware expertise is limited most of my experience is with desktops.

    Typically if the optical drive can read CDs but not DVDs (or vice versa), there has been a hardware failure of the DVD or CD circuitry.  Drivers/firmware aren't going to solve the problem, only replacement of the drive.

  • Why am I now having certificate issues with Firefox but not IE?

    I can no longer log into Gmail, Facebook, Amazon, etc... using Firefox. I get the following error "accounts.google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)". It works with IE but not Firefox. This just started a few days ago - prior to that I was able to log into those https sites without issue.
    Any suggestions? Thank you.

    "browser.xul.error_pages.expert_bad_cert" was set on false so I set it to true and tried reloading.
    Got the page giving me the option to add exception and continue. Kept trying that and would not continue to the page even after accepting 10+ times.

  • AX Issue w/ PC but not MBPro?? Riddle me this Batman

    So I can connect all the computers in the house if my AX is not secured w/ a WPA2 password, but once protected my MBPro and GF's Laptop connects fine but not the PC Gaming machine. I run AP Utility and it can't find the Apple Device?? If I reset the AX then I can connect again because it's a unsecured network again and I can then set up the router w/ AP Utility. Once I encrypt it I loose the network again?? Bizarre Right??
    Help Pls!!

    Here is the thing. Before I bought my MBP the PC that won't connect, was used to set up the network and worked w/ a WPA/WPA2 Personal password. So I know it works. Now that I have this laptop it won't find the network once encrypted and I have downloaded all the newest and latest patches and software updates, so it isn't that... I don't think. But lets keep tryin', I'm sure we are close to a solution. Right? I'm wondering if once it personalizes the network steps away from just using the default settings, somehow it changes the path in which the PC uses to find the network is modified somehow (poking in the dark now). Prolly doesn't make a difference. Any other suggestions?

    When I see "it doesn't work in IE" I always have to ask: Windows 7? 64 bits system? Are you sure you are running this in the 64 bits internet explorer? The default IE is the 32 bits version, so if you don't have a 32 bits Java runtime installed applets are not going to work at all, signed or otherwise.

  • Huey pro issue, almost resolved, but, not quite

    This machine and windows 7 are not a match made in heaven. Love the operating system, but, its totally a pain with the W700 stuff.  I have fully updated *everything*, it beeps like it is calibrating, it says its finished and successful, but, it doesn't do a thing. I have had this machine since 2009 and its always an issue after a clean reinstall of windows. this time worse than usual. This was working absolutely perfectly until I reinstalled windows.     Yes, you can switch it and it may be that my judgement is bad. I went in and messed up the color and it did change it. I think the monitor I am on is too warm and that may be affecting my perception on the Lenovo being too cool. I am going to mess with it some more this evening. Its my favorite feature on the w700

  • I have constant connectivity issues with Safari but not if I use Chrome.  Why is this?

    My wifi is connected yet when I launch Safari, I constantly receive error messages about connectivity yet if I launch Chrome instead, I have no problems.  Do I just not use Safari or is there a way to fix this?  Thanks!

    Go step by step and test.
    1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
        Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
        Restart the computer.
        Start up in Safe Mode.

    2. Deselect Proxies if selected.
       System Preference > Network > Advanced  > Proxies Tab
       Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if selected.
       Click "OK" then  "Apply”.
    3. Delete Caches.db
        Close all windows and quit all applications.
        Hold "option" key down and click "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
        Select "Library" from the dropdown.
        Library > Caches > com.apple.Safari > Caches.db
        Right click the Caches.db file and select "Move To Trash.
        Close windows and relaunch Safari.
    4. Empty Caches
        Safari > Preference > Advanced
        Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
        Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
        Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.

  • Lockbox issue - lockbox upload but not data in the FEBA_LOCKBOX reprocess

    hi,
    i have problem on the lockbox processing.  when uploading a lockbox FLB2, an message pop-up mentioned something was bolcked, but the uploading over this message and the importing step finished. Then i go to posting the checks use FEBA_LOCKBOX, but i can't see any checks in the preivously uploading and it has the total batch amount zero.
    The lockbox file has the check infor mation, and it uploaded but when i want to posting there is no check infomation in the checkbox number. I want to reupload the checkbox but system give the message the lockbox has been uploaded. what should i do to solve this? is there any way to reverse the previous uploading and to upload the lockbox file again? Please adise.

  • AUR website issues on Arch, but not Win32

    I've been having the same page load interrupted error on Arch Firefox for a few days now. However, accessing it on Win32 Firefox still works. I'm using Firefox 13.0 on both systems, and everything else on Arch is fine -- I can access the main Arch website, sync pacman, etc. There's just this very strange bias against accessing the AUR on Arch for some reason.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    If it isn't showing up at all, it means that Find My Phone hasn't been activated.
    If it's just the location that isn't showing up, it may well mean it isn't connected to a network at this time.

  • IPhone Detected But Not Identified?

    I hooked up my iPhone to my base that goes into my cpu and I got this message: "An iPhones was detected, but could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPhone and try again." I havent had any problems like this before. Will a reinstall over this iTunes fix the problem? I am running Windows XP. I have also noticed that when I plug up my phone, the Scanner and Camera Wizard pops up recognizing the iPhone as a camera. Also when running iTunes after I got that message, my cpu will freeze for about 5 seconds and work fine a little while then freeze again for 5 seconds. But when I close iTunes, it stops freezing.

    I am having the same issue iPhone detected, but not identified. Did you get a solution to the problem? Had to go to th Apple store to register my phone. iPhone connected fine with their MacBook. That doesn't help me at home though.

I’ve tried the usual recommended steps: deselecting calendar and contacts in the iCloud control panel and then re-selecting, signing out of the panel and back in, and repairing the Outlook installation in control panel.  I even uninstalled iCloud on the PC and downloaded it again (same version). 
    The furthest I’ve gotten is step 2 (and once, step 3) of 7 while performing “Outlook Setup For iCloud.” At that point I get, “Your setup couldn’t be started because of an unexpected error.”  After the first attempt at all this, all my calendar events disappeared from Outlook, although they are still in iCloud calendar and on my phone.
    Sound familiar?  Any ideas on how to solve this iCloud/Outlook issue?  Thanks much in advance!

    Lync client gets user photos by first querying the Address Book Web Query (ABWQ) service on the server, which is exposed through the Distribution List Expansion web service. The client receives
    the image file and then copies it to the user's cache to avoid downloading the image each time it needs to be displayed. The attribute values returned from the query are also stored in the cached Address Book Service entry for the user. The Address Book Service
    deletes all cached images every 24 hours, which means that it can take up to 24 hours for new user images to be updated in the cache on the server.
    To troubleshoot your problem, please follow the steps below:
    1.  Navigate to
     “X:\share\1-WebServices-1\ABfiles\000000000\000000000” folder. (ABS file share)
    You should see some photo files in this folder as the following screenshot.
    2. Delete all the files in this folder.
    3. On test PC, delete local cache files.
    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Lync\[email protected]
    4. Sign-in Lync with the test account.
    5. Go back to the ABS file share, check if there is any Photo file in the folder.

    Thank you so much for providing the details about the duplicate song issue you are experiencing.  It sounds like you would like to remove the duplicate songs that will not play on your iPhone, but when you connect it to iTunes, iTunes only shows you one copy of the song on your iPhone. 
    In this situation, I recommend deleting the individual songs that do not play directly from your iPhone.  I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf):
    Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.
