Sign-in link returns 404 error

Earlier on today I tried to log-in from another computer and the sign-in link at the top right corner gave a 404 error each time I tried it...

No I don't have PSE 12 yet.
Had to Shut down to Go out for a while came back and had to open and close SeaMonkey (uses FireFox We Engine. Several Times
Tried:
Safari
Chrome
SeaMonkey
FireFox
Maxthon
Opera Next
Opera
OminiWeb
iCab
Aurora
All have the same Issue have to open and close Multiple Times to get it to sign in. The sign server or its software is Toast. They need to fix ASAP or sooner.  If they can't figure it out hit it with a hammer to it. Or open and Vacuum the crud out. Do something.

    Hi,
    I am trying to d/l SQLDeveloper today and keep getting 404 errors. I need the Mac OS X version. It seems that all versions have gone missing for the d/l page.

    Hi Dan,
    Please check again. It just worked fine for me. The OTN team are doing updates today so that may have impacted that page when you checked last.

  • ITunes returning 404 error when submitting working podcast feed

    I am trying to submit a podcast to the iTunes Directory but iTunes is returning a "bad http result code:404" error. This is a known good feed verified by both feedvalidator.org and iTunes U. Feedvalidator shows an encoding error ("utf-8" vs. "US-ASCII"), but otherwise has no problem. Feed is here: http://itunesmedia.seu.edu/Chapel/2013_Chapel/rss.xml. Thanks.

    No obvious answer here. The feed looks fine and can be subscribed to manually in Tunes perfectly well.
    The encoding error you mention occurs a lot and doesn't normally seem to cause any problems. Error 404 is 'file not found'.
    We have seen cases where perfectly good feeds couldn't be read by the Store: I've never seen an expanation, and my guess - and I emphasize it is a guess - is that the server is for some reason not responding to requests from the Store when it does to all other requests.
    You could start by leaving it for a bit and trying again in case it's some sort of temporary glitch. If it still doesn't work I can only suggest you ask the people running your server if they can check the server logs for when this happened.

  • Approval link throws 404 error

    Hi,
       I am running EP6 SP2 patch 5, CM patch 5. I have CM setup to show news items anonymously. When one clicks on the approval email that is sent with the link to the item it throws 404 error saying that the document is not available. The item is there but is not available for everyone. It doesn't give the login page as news items are setup to be displayed anonymously.
      Is there a way to prompt for login without losing the anonymous access by changing the url generation configuration in email to generate URL that asks for a login page or some other way
    Thanks

    Hi.
    How can i reproduce it?.
    Did you login/logout before/after access to your externalId navigation?.
    It could be a WebCenter View Handler bug. I asked to you if it is 11.1.1.4 because there is a bug with it in this version. I don't know if PS4 have similar issue.
    You have a sample code to extend WebCenter View Handler in Andrejus Blog (code of Oracle Support): http://andrejusb.blogspot.com.es/2011/04/practical-guide-for-oracle-webcenter.html

  • Newsfeed & About Me links return 404 and MySites root is IIS7 splash screen

    I am building the SharePoint 2013 farm, and I have configured and installed both the default SharePoint site and the MySites site. For the default site I used this article: technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee806885.aspx and technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263094.aspx,
    and I chose the Publishing Portal template. For the MySites, I used this article: technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee624362.aspx I have placed both applications in the same App Pool.
    When I go to my SharePoint site, my name appears correctly in the drop down menu. When I browse to MySites root site I get the IIS7 splash screen, and when I click on the Newsfeed or About Me links from my SharePoint web site, I get a 404:
    Server Error in '/' Application.
    The resource cannot be found.
    Description:
    HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies)
    could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
    Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
    Requested URL: /Person.aspx
    I have built and rebuilt both sites numerous times in Central Administration, synched the users profiles with Active Directory and tried changing the Default Document property in IIS. I have also rebuilt the cache several times. I am about at my wits' end,
    and need to know what else I can try. Thanks.

    One thing I do get relatively frequently, but cannot find an answer for is this:

  • Calendar server returning 404 errors unless I access it on my iPhone first

    A very strange error has been plaguing me since I installed Leopard Server, and has continued even after upgrading to Snow Leopard Server. I have not yet upgraded to Lion Server. I use iCal server quite a bit, but it's buggy as can be.
    Here is the situation: I have my iPhone, iMac, Mac Pro and laptop set up to access my calendar (iMac is at home, Mac Pro is at work). I can use the iPhone any time to use it and I get zero errors of any kind ever. If I access it with any of the computers, however, I get this error on Lion: "The URL (URL of my calendar and UID) encountered HTTP error 404. Make sure the URL is correct." On Snow Leopard it said the calendar didn't exist.
    If I went into acocunt and deleted the UID to allow it to re-find it, it would work again - but the UID was identical. If I deleted the account and re-added it, same thing. It would be an identical UID, but work fine.
    Here is the odd thing I noticed: If I access the calendar on the desktop and get the error (even try multiple times) it does not work. If I access it on the iPhone and then try on the desktop, it works flawlessly.
    Any ideas?

    I have the same issue.  My fix is to log in to the calendar through the Wiki on the server's web page after doing that the pop-up messages go away for awhile.  They do come back, so I log in again to the Wiki.  Not optimal but it works.
    Using Snow Leopard Server 10.6.8, Client is running Lion 10.7.1.

  • Clicking the Sign in link often leads to an error 404 page

    Hi!
    This is an error that has been around (at least on my computer) for some months now:
    Pressing the Sign in link on the Adobe Forum pages takes me to a non exising page error (404).
    this is the page I get to:
    Page is not available broken link 404.
    Also there is no form to report this kind of web page errors, when clicking the "Send us an e-mail" link on this page..
    Signing in from some other page or form at first seems to make no difference,
    reloading the page makes no difference, but clicking "sign in" again, I get logged in (without getting to the sign in page).
    Am I the only one having htese problems?
    I'm on Windows, alwsay using FireFox (latest version).
    Best regards,
    Andreas Jansson

    Andreas,
    A week, or so ago, there was some maintenance on the Jive end of things, and many were getting similar 404 errors. It was my understanding that those had been resolved, and that things were working fine.
    As several have been having issues with Adobe's own cookies (I had a big one with Adobe Store), I would also try cleaning your browser's cache, just to make sure that it's not something specific to your browser.
    As many of the "powers that be" monitor this forum, like the tireless John C./Adobe-Admin, I suspect that after the three-day weekend (for many in the US), that you will get definitive answers and advice. Look for those to come on about Tuesday.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Bug: 404 error for item link in 'Tell a Friend' email

    When using {tag_tellafriend} in email campaigns, the email that is sent from BC to the 'friend' is dysfunctional - the link rendered by {tag_itemurl} is redirected by a 302 Found to /_System/SystemPages/Error404, which simulates a Page Not Found error (it doesn't actually return 404).
    Those links are in the format: http://www.example.com/CampaignProcess.aspx?A=View&KID=203100&VID=45681759

    Cool. Shouldn't {tag_tellafriend} be removed or disabled? Three years seems a long enough sunset period for a feature that hasn't worked since then.

  • Action Items link in email displays a 404 error

    Just installed a pair of Exchange 2013 servers in our organization and have configured a load balancer for access.  Mail flow, Activesync, calendar, etc.. are all working as expected but some emails display the Action Items link in Outlook.  When
    I click on it, the section expands and a 404 error is displayed.  If it were a connectivity issue with the load balancer I would expect to get a 'cannot access page' message.  This page is obviously generated by Exchange (if I scroll down it shows
    the same visual style as the Exchange 2013 OWA page).  I've tried searching solutions online and find plenty of information on developing Mail Apps but not much on administering them.  Anyone else run into this problem and/or know how to fix it?
    Thanks!
    -Nick

    Disable and Re-enable the apps had no effect.
    Setup a profile with my admin account and get the same behavior.
    I tried opening an app from within the OWA page instead of Outlook and the error message is different, "App ErrorSomething went wrong and we couldn't start this app. Please try again later or contact your system administrator."
    After searching for that error there was a suggestion this was an authentication problem.  I tried switching the OWA auth to Integrated Windows and I get single sign-on to OWA now but still get the error.
    Oddly the path in the logs shows the actual server name instead of the load balancer VIP DNS name that i'm entering into IE.  This despite having configured the OWA internal and external URLs to use the VIP DNS name.
    Here are IIS logs showing the 404 error I see in Outlook:

  • File items link leads to 404 error

    Hi,
    When I add a File or Simple File item to my item region using the add items wizard and return to the view page, the item links to an invalid page, and I get a 404 error.
    The item link loos like this:
    /pls/portaldev/url/ITEM/B3B27605810043BBE0340003BA12D750
    When I view the properties for the item there is a link that looks like this:
    /pls/portaldev/docs/PAGE/TEST/TEST3.TXT
    And that link works fine.
    Does anybody know what the problem is? Or where you think I should start looking for a solution?
    Regards,
    Joe

    We are on 9.0.2.6 (running on Linux). We believe the problem first showed up when we upgraded from Release 1 to Release 2 (9.0.2.3).
    The browser is Internet Explorer 5.0 w/SP2.
    Thanks for your help.

    Right. If you are using delegated privs and sudo, make sure that sudo is configured to pass on the PERL5LIB and ORACLE_HOME environment variables at least.

    Hi All
    Now I try to deploy my SAP Portal Project it gives following error message "The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.". What is missing?
    Regards

    Hi,
    In order to check if those seetings are ok, do following:
    Open internet explorer (or another) browser and go to
    http://localhost:50000/irj
    You should get the Portal homepage with login screen.
    If you don't - then you have a problem with your local portal ( may be it is not running ).
    If you do - Login with username: administrator and
    password: abcd1234
    If you don't succeed to login, then you have a problem with your user( may be it does not exist ).

    Hi All,
    I am getting an error with below line.
    "The Remote server returned an error (404) not found"
    It occurs when I am trying to fetch some data from SharePoint 2010 List.
    For eg. I have a webpart in which i am showing some content on page load and that content is coming from a List.
    But I am getting error.
    Screen shot for your reference.

     Here is my code:

                context1.AuthenticationMode = ClientAuthenticationMode.Anonymous;

                CamlQuery query1 = new CamlQuery();
                query1.ViewXml = @"<Query><Query><OrderBy><FieldRef Name='Title' Ascending='True' /></OrderBy>

                Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ListItemCollection listCollection1 = list1.GetItems(query1);
                context1.Load(listCollection1);
                context1.ExecuteQuery();
               Even i removed the line no. 2 from above code and placed below but still same issue.
               context1.Credentials = new NetworkCredential("user", "password", "domain");
    Hope someone will solve my issue here.
