Sign in option with windows phone

Hi,
anybody has tried to sing in into pc or laptop using windows phone
it was demonstrated in demo by joe belfiore (vice president of windows)
can anybody tell how enable that option......

Keep in mind that we're into the Christmas season so a lot of the Microsoft

Lumia 920 does not sync with Windows Phone for Mac

I cannot sync any item between my Lumia 920 and with Mac.
Many users indicated that the problem encountered when syncing the Lumia 920 with Windows Phone for Mac is resolved by using the option "Allow access to folder" to the iTunes library. However, I have tried several times with many folders but cannot sync anything between my phone and my Mac.
I also modified the security options of my Mac by allowing the Windows Phone app to access my computer but with not success.
Any suggestions?

Error Integrating EWS 2.2 with Windows Phone 8.1 App

Hi,
I am new to Windows Phone development. I have a basic need to access the Exchange Calendar.
I am using Windows Phone 8.1 SDK and Exchange Web Service 2.2 SDK.
As a first step I tried to use the
Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Autodiscover
dll to find the end points of the Exchange Server.
However on the first code statement
Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Autodiscover.AutodiscoverService

It throws an exception –
An exception of type 'System.IO.FileNotFoundException' occurred in Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.DLL but was not handled in user code
'System.IO.FileNotFoundException' occurred in mscorlib.ni.dll
I further tried some debugging and using Code Analyser I get following warnings –
Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.dll: warning CS1684: Reference to type 'System.Net.IPAddress' claims it is defined in 'c:\Program Files (x86)\Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\WindowsPhoneApp\v8.1\System.dll',
but it could not be found.
And
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange\Web Services\2.2\Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Auth.dll: warning MSB3817: The assembly "C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange\Web Services\2.2\Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Auth.dll"
does not have a NeutralResourcesLanguageAttribute on it. To be used in an app package, portable libraries must define a NeutralResourcesLanguageAttribute on their main assembly (ie, the one containing code, not a satellite assembly).
I am not sure what the issue is, but when I try the same code it works in a Command Application. There are other errors but not the above ones. It at least executes few statements.
Can someone please help resolve this error and point me to links where I can find sample code with Windows Phone 8.1 implementation?

The EWS SDK 2.2 is a regular Desktop .Net DLL and therefore won't work in a WinRT App (CoreCLR). You should however be able to call the WebService directly.

Is possible to connect a Remote Ressource with Windows Phone 8.1 ?

I am trying to connect the my mobile with Windows Phone 8.1 with a remote ressource (and not remote PC). The address is something like "https://xxx.xxxx.xx/...". This connection is possible wiith Androïd and Mac. Here I don't fond it.

I just bought a Sony SBH52.
I would like to use it with my Lumia 1520. But it appears that the SBH52 works only with Android!!!
Does it exist a way to make SBH52 worked with a Windows Phone 8 ??

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
It should work just as any Bluetooth headset to any device but you'll miss out on the special features if you don't have a Android device.
No tests have been made with Windows phones I believe so I can't promise any functionality. But perhaps you could tell us more about the problem you run into?

Issues with 32GB micro SD with Windows Phone 8 and Lumia 810

I bought 32 GB micro SDHC card (Sandisk) that causes issues such as:
(1) tap Settings - then blank screen - then go back to Home
(2) when shutting down WP8, it says "goodbye" forever and it does not go away. I have to detach the battery.
(3) Occasional freezes - need to do step (2) to force reboot
(4) Go to music > songs, causes OS to freeze
(5) Go to music > albums, select one and cannot play - OS freeze
I have huge library of MP3 and WMA that I want to keep them in the SD. I did it in 2 ways:
(A)
Attach the micro SD (with adapter) into Windows PC, copy music folders to SD with Windows Explorer.
(B) Attach the micro SD into Lumia 810, connect it to Windows PC. Windows detects the hardware, then using Windows Explorer, copy he music folders to Lumia 810 > SD card > Music.
When I tried (A), 5 above issues came up. WP8 reported the SD card was corrupted. I run chkdsk to fix the SD card, but the 5 issues persisted after I inserted the SD. I formatted the SD card, and repeat
(A), but the 5 issues persisted.
I tried (B), then the copying process stopped in the middle. Windows Explorer reported error cannot copy file XXX. Then the 5 issues came up again.
I am running out of ideas. What's wrong? SD, Lumia, or WP8? What should I do to have huge music files on the phone? Sorry, I can't play from the cloud.

[WP8.1][C#]Why when I try to upload an Image with Windows Phone it uploads a random thing?

I'm trying to upload an image from my Windows Store App (Windows Phone 8.1) to hosting (using PHP) but always when I "uploaded" the image, and I check its result the "image" it's a corrupted file. I think it's related to the byte array
conversion but I haven't found another way to do it. This is my code:

I'd like to know what could be my bug because I don't understand why I can access from the URL, too to bit I cannot use it, maybe it's how I assigned the permissions but with or without the chmod, it
doesn't change at all. I have even tried other hostings and the problem is the same when I enter to the File Manager, there are only my PHP files and it doesn't allow me to manage the image.

Cannot update software with Windows Phone 7 Connector.

I cannot get Windows Phone 7 Connector to download software updates for my HTC Trophy. I unlocked the phone and took it to Europe last year, I returned to the US in January 2012 and the phone has been working fine, but I have not been receiving any software updates. Today I tried to download some apps and discovered that I've missed some updates and I cannot download anything through Marketplace until I fix it. When I try to update the software, I get an error message that tells me that Windows Phone 7 Connector cannot download the updates. I think the problem may have to do with the APN, but other users who have mentioned similar issues after reconnecting an unlocked phone have lost all data connection.

Teaming options with Windows 2012 R2 Host for HV Guests

We are configuring Windows 2012 R2 standard host servers for Win 2008 / Win 2012 Guest servers. We have 3 NICs and using one for host management and other two in windows teaming. We read many blogs and supported configurations, but still not clear about
the options with teaming. Usually with teaming we select the default options such as Switch Independent Teaming mode, Dynamic Load Balancing mode with no standby adapter. Recently with this teaming configuration we faced issues with host servers on multiple
Windows 2012 R2 standard host servers (the guest hang multiple times) and when we removed one of the NICs from team it started working fine. With the switches we didn't find any issues nor with NICs. Is it because of the default team options? Should we go
with Hyper V port Load balancing mode?

TCP Chimney is not supported with NIC teaming in Windows Server 2012 R2 since TCP Chimney has the entire networking stack offloaded to the NIC, please check you have disable
it.

Zune HD won't connect with windows phone 7 connector

i just recently got a macbook pro and im trying to connect my zune hd through the windows phone 7 connector i downloaded off the app store. bt my zune hd wont even show up on my computer. it isnt being recognized at all. does anone know how to fix this? or is anyone having the same issues?

From your error message looks like it is a VS designer issue, I would recommend you do the same as Ken suggested, besides keep your windows update and reboot the device machine should help.
Another possibility is maybe you update with Silverlight 5.0, as I can see from a old post:

Anyone else notice Verizon's complete disinterest with Windows Phone?

I decided to take a peek through Verizon's facebook and Twitter pages for a quick minute, on the day that Verizon announced pre-orders are available for Windows Phone, they took to twitter and promoted that there is a new droid coming on the 13th and to get sneek peeks of it. Followed by tweets everyday with the tag #droidoes, why doesn't verizon put this kind of effort into windows phone instead of just a new droid every 2 months? I want more than just 2 mid range windows phones for the same price as most higher end models.

If Verizon personnel in charge of phone procurement ever bother to peruse their Windows Phone forums, they'll know why they might be receiving lukewarm, nay, tepid response to Windows Phone 8 on their network. The days of perceived cautiousness because of the Kin debacle should've been over with and forgiven on the introduction and overly positive reception of WP7 of the HTC Trophy. For Verizon to continue the throttled reception of WP8 with a half-hearted selection of Windows Phone 8 devices is a disservice to their customers.
If you're listening Verizon, this is not a chicken and egg argument. You found a partially interested audience to your WP8 launch because you put forth a partial introduction to WP8 phones.

Ipad 2 pair with windows phone

I cannot pair my Nokia Windows8 phone with iPad 2 using Bluetooth. Is this possible with an App?

You cannot transfer them to your iPad directly from your Windows phone. You will have to either use a cloud-based service such as Dropbox or transfer the videos from your Nokia to your computer and then sync them to your iPad.

Lumina 900 with Windows Phone OS 7.5 does not answ...

When I am using my BlueAnt Q2 headset and recieve a phone call on my Lumina 900, the phone call is not automatically transferred to my headset. The phones speaker is used instead.
To use my headset with the call, I have to open the phone keypad and click on the bluetooth button/key to have the call transferred to my headset. Then everything is fine. But this is obviously very awkward.
Other than this, I have no other issues with the headset.
Why wouldn't the phone call be automatically tranferred to the headset?
Is this a known issue with either Windows Phone OS 7.5 or the Lumina 900?
Is there a fix?

Can I submit apps built with Windows Phone 8.0 SDK or do all new apps have to be windows Phone 8.1

I thought this would be an easy question to google but I can't find a simple Yes or No.
My app uses some components that are not currently developed for windows phone 8.1 so I was going to build the app in the Windows Phone 8.0 SDK. But I know that other platforms stop you submitting apps in older SDK's, but what about Microsoft? Can I still
submit a brand new app built on the Windows Phone 8 SDK?

you can submit , I have submitted a new windows phone 8 app recently which will support on windows 8.1 phone also. In case of 8 the build will be .xap and in case of 8.1 it will app.package . when you run your windows 8 app in 8.1 phone it will
internally convert xap to package and it runs as usually. I would suggest you to start developing in 8.1 apps which has lot more flavors added(ex: Geo fencing etc).
