I recently purchased Adobe Acrobat Annual. I hav actually use it a few times but now can not find how to get into it to use it again. All the options are about editing ones contact or payment method or seeing a list of recently purchased Adobe products I can seem to find how to get "into" my account.

    Hi, I need some serious help immediately.  I have been using an external hard disc to watch movies and stuff on my MacBook. However last night I removed the external hard disc accidentally without closing the programs that were still using the data from the hard disk and hence the complete MacBook got hanged and nothing responded. I tried using command Q to shut down the program buy it didn't help either. So finally I gave up and shut down the MacBook manually by pressing the power on/off button.
    However when I tried restarting my MacBook I faced a serious problem. The start up won't boot beyond the grey screen showing a folder sign with a question mark sign in it .. I just don't know what to do. Somebody please help me and guide me through this problem
    Awaiting quick response
    Gratitude in advance

    If you try booting your Mac holding down the Option key, you should see the icon for Macintosh HD. Try selecting that to boot. If you can get in that way, go to System Preferences > Startup Disk and select your Mac HD, then click Restart.
    If you can't see the Mac HD, the volume may indeed need repair as Niel said.

  • Exchange Server Deployment Assistant - Single Sign On Question

    I'm running through the Exchange Server Deployment Assistant to help with a Hybrid deployment and for
    right now, I don't want to be bothered with SSO. In the Assistant, when I answer
    No to the Do you want all users to use their on-premises credentials when they log on to their Exchange Online mailbox? question when I get to the
    Before You Begin section it always shows my answer to that question as being
    Yes.
    Any ideas? Can I simply ignore the sections that relate to AD FS as I work through the steps?
    Thanks!

    Hi Adare,
    I have tested on Exchange Server Deployment Assistant with "Hybrid"->"Exchange 2010 based hybrid", and get the same result as yours.
    Information on "Do you want all users to use their on-premises credentials when they log on to their Exchange Online mailbox?" as below:
    Single sign-on allows users in both the on-premises organization and the Exchange Online organization to access resources and features across the two organizations without being prompted for additional user credentials. Single sign-on is configured for
    a hybrid deployment using identity federation and Active Directory synchronization. If you're planning to have on-premises users access Exchange Online accounts using the Outlook mail client or planning to implement Exchange Online Archiving,
    we strongly recommend selecting Yes for this question and deploying single sign-on in your on-premises organization.
    It seems that this is the reason why Yes has been selected.

  • A PKI Code Signing Certificate question.

    Hello,
    Can someone please help me with the following question.
    I have created and used a code Signing certificate from our Microsoft Enterprise CA before which works OK, but I am not sure I did it correctly, and have a few related questions please.
    what I did.
    1: Logged on the CA directly, went to the CertSvc web site, requested a code signing cert, issued it and exported it along with the private key.
    2: Imported the above certificate into CurrentUser/My store on PC and used it to sign code
    3: Took the came certificate (along with the private key, and this is where perhaps I made at least one mistake) and imported it into the 'Trusted Publishers' store the PC that will be running the signed code. This step was done so the user does not receive
    a message asking if they want to run the code signed by "AAnotherUser" as it were, as although the code is signed by a trusted CA, the user still gets this warning message as the 'Publisher' is not in the 'Trusted Publishers' list. Therefore the
    way I sorted this at the time was to take the whole certificate as above and import to this store.
    The first mistake I made (as far as I can see as I am new to this area) I think I should have not imported the certificate 'along with its private key' into the trusted publishers store? in other words should I have imported the certificate 'minus its
    private key' into the trusted publishers store?
    Also, I understand you have to have the certificate along with is private key to sign code. I am 'assuming' a Hash of the code is taken and this is signed (encrypted) with the private key (in the same way a CA signs a CSR for a WEBServer cert for example),
    is that correct i.e. is that what it mean to sign code?
    if the above is correct then I assume you only need the 'public' key of the code signed cert in the 'Trusted Publishers Store' to verify the code was signed by a trusted CA and it has not been altered e.g. the Hash code still computes to the same value.
    Is this correct?
    My next question is regarding the private key. As I need to 'Login' to AD in order to request a code signing cert, can the 'private key' not be stored securely in AD along with my AD User account?
    if the above is possible (which would make good sense to me I think) then I do not have to worry about looking after the safety of the private key as the system 'AD' can do this for me. It would also mean which every computer I logon to in the domain I would
    have access to the private key (but no other user) and therefore be able to sign code I assume. Does this last paragraph make sense can this be done/is this done?
    Basically I need to understand the above, in order to understand more about Crypto.
    I also need create a code signing cert for a 'department' of about 10 people. Therefore I was thinking about creating and AD account called 'XYZCorpCodeSigning' or what ever, and issuing a code singing cert to this entity. If the private key could be stored
    in AD then accessed used once signed in as this account (these 10 people would need to know the password for the account) this would make life easier/more secure, I think.
    I know there are several question above, but it would be great it they would be answered as I would help me understand more about how it all works and to solve a problem too
    Thanks very much

    > The first mistake I made (as far as I can see as I am new to this area) I think I should have not imported the certificate 'along with its private key' into the trusted publishers store
    yes, it is not correct. Only public part should be imported to a Trusted Publishers container.
    >  is that correct i.e. is that what it mean to sign code
    exactly. Encryption with private key and decrypting with public key is called "digital signature".
    > if the above is correct then I assume you only need the 'public' key of the code signed cert in the 'Trusted Publishers Store' to verify the code was signed by a trusted CA and it has not been altered e.g. the Hash code still computes to the same
    value. Is this correct?
    yes. Client uses only public part of the certificate to validate the signature.
    > As I need to 'Login' to AD in order to request a code signing cert, can the 'private key' not be stored securely in AD along with my AD User account?
    normally code signing certificates are not stored in Active Directory and should not be there, because signing certificate is included in the signature field.
    > I do not have to worry about looking after the safety of the private key as the system 'AD' can do this for me.
    this is wrong assumption. A user is responsible to protect signing private key from unauthorized use.
    > If the private key could be stored in AD then accessed used once signed in as this account (these 10 people would need to know the password for the account) this would make life easier/more secure
    wouldn't, because if something happens -- you will never know who compromised the key.
    as a general practice, we recommend to purchase at least few smart cards to store signing keys. Depending on a particular code development practice, there might be a dedicated employee (for example, manager of devs) who the only has access to a smart card
    (and PIN) and signs the code upon dev request. Or issue a dedicated smart card with unique signing certificate to each developer. However this will add a complexity in signing certificate trust management.

  • Blackbery Rim Signing Tool Question

    I'm trying to run my application on a 7230 ( T-Mobile) BES , wireless handheld version 4.0.185 and using BB JDE version 4.0 and I got this error ,
    Error starting serveractivity module. Module must be signed with the Rim Runtime Code Signing Key.
    I've crossed check the files that I've imported and I dont see anything that's on the Controlled API. Any pointers from any one ?
    Here's my list of imported classes.
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.OutputStream;
    import java.io.InputStream;
    import javax.microedition.io.Connector;
    import javax.microedition.io.HttpConnection;
    import org.xml.sax.SAXException;
    import org.xml.sax.helpers.DefaultHandler;
    import org.xml.sax.Attributes;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.UiApplication;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.Field;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.FieldChangeListener;

    import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.DateField;
    import net.rim.device.api.ui.component.ObjectChoiceField ;

    import net.rim.device.api.xml.jaxp.SAXParserImpl;
    import org.xml.sax.helpers.DefaultHandler;
    import java.io.ByteArrayInputStream;
    After checking the Blackberry JDE API documentation, I realize that there wasn't the class javax.microedition.io.HttpConnection in the API. Is there any work around to solving this matter instead of buying the RIM Signing tool ?
    Thanks,

    Hi Piotr,
    You could try with the below code to add reference to your VSTO project:
    parameters.ReferencedAssemblies.Add("Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.dll");
    parameters.CompilerOptions = "/lib:\"C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\\Visual Studio Tools for Office\\PIA\\Office14\"";
    As for more details, please refer to the below sample:

  • Single Sign On Question

    Hi All,
    My Company has a couple of Divisions. But lets work with two divisions, Corporate and Government Divisions.
    I'm currently workin on the Govmn Division. Our Intranet is protected by a firewall and users from Corporate are required to Athenticate through the Sun One Directory (LDAP). We restrict the top level directory with by the IP. If the IP is from Corp, they get the sign on request.
    Before they do that though, they go through some proxy server that will feed them the pages. It's some tool by iGate (Rainbow Technologies).
    My question is, what would the best solution to by pass these two sign ons? Is there anyway to send credentials to the ACL so it does not prompt the user for a login and password. I've read about the Identity server and I'm a bit confused.
    Any tips, help, advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

    The battery is charging.

    It sounds like your hard drive is bad. If you can see it in Disk Utility you may still be able to get your files off of it. If you have one of the MacBooks with the removable battery it's very easy to put in a new hard drive.
    Here's instructions on replacing your hard drive http://creativemac.digitalmedianet.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=45088
    To buy a hard drive try Newegg.com http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=380&name=Laptop-Hard-Dr ives

    Put your old hard drive in an external case and after you've formatted your new hard drive and installed your operating system on it plug in your old hard drive and see if it is recognized by the new system. If so then transfer whatever files you want to the new hard drive

  • Afaria Self Service Portal and Enterprise signed Afaria : Question

    Afaria has an SSP where users can download Afaria signed using an enterprise license (which sybase started doing a couple of months back). The problem is even though we sign it using an apple enterprise license, we still get an error after downloading Afaria, asking if we "Trust" the application. This is not allowing the "apply enrollment code" function on the SSP to work, till the user manually overrides the "trust" warning. Anyone out there who faced a similar problem, and somehow bypassed the "trust" thing ?

    Ok Sure,
    As of now I have process with ignoring this warning.
    Can you please help me if you have any good document related to post installation configuration of Afaria from Technical point of view. (Please note that I am a Basis Consultant and need to hand over the system to function team).

  • OIF 11.1.1.4.0 Signing Certificate Question

    How does the old/new model for Wallets (Security and Trust) used for Signature and Encryption works?
    We are trying to roll out two signing certificates at the same time. This will allow our customer to update their IdPs (the ones that decided to verify our signature) at their own pace.
    When I install two certs (PKCS wallet) I can retrieve them with /fed/sp/cert?type=new and /fed/sp/cert?type=old . But how does the SP knows which cert needs to sign with? At this point it seems that all request to the ACS (fed/sp/samlv11sso) are being answered with the old certificate.
    I have been looking all over for documentation on this process and still can't find anything relevant.
    *PS we use SAML 1.1 Artifact profile.
    Thanks!
    -Noel

    I found the answer and I guess is not what I was thinking it was.
    8.3 Managing Signing and Encryption Wallets
    Oracle Identity Federation provides a way to update signing and/or encryption wallets smoothly, without interrupting service.
    When you need to replace a signing or encryption wallet and a new one is uploaded, Oracle Identity Federation saves the old wallet. The server then continues to use the old wallet in all transactions until it is removed. However, generated metadata will contain the new wallet information as well as the old information. This allows time to notify remote providers about the change.
    Once new metadata has been created and distributed to all remote providers, the old wallet can be deleted and Oracle Identity Federation will use the newly uploaded wallet for all subsequent transactions.

  • HT204053 i cloud sign in question

    How do i change my e mail adress in my phone so it is my current email address? My phone keeps asking me to sign into icloud but its showing my old email address and i cant sign into icloud . Any help would be greatly apprciated. Thanks!

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
    This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
    However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

  • ICloud sign out question

    I am currently in my ICloud account and want to sign off. However, when I click the sign out button, I get a message "If you stop using Icloud for calendars and reminders, calendars and reminders stored in icloud will be deleted from this mac". Calenders and reminders are checked. I get the same message for documents and data. What am I not understanding?

    Think of it as being like webmail: when you sign out from webmail nothing happens to the emails and they are still there when you next sign in. Same thing, handled in a slightly different way, with the iCloud data.

  • Icloud sign in question

    I am using a PC.  I do not have an iphone or ipad.  When I sign into icloud with my itunes id and password, it tells me "this apple id is valid but is not an icloud account".  Why can't I sign in with my itunes info?

    Interestingly enough, and sadly nothing worked.  Although following both your advice, Randers4 & Winston Churchill and re-booting (my own thought) all was well for about 5 minutes or until the iPhone 6 went to sleep. then upon trying to create anything in any e-mail account, the same pop-up from iCloud appeared.  I finally called Apple care for 3 days straight - spoke to 3 layers of tech support - no one could solve....finally the issue was relayed up to "engineering" who was supposed to research my account and problem and get back to me. They never did :-(
    Yesterday, I took the phone to the Genius Bar at the apple Store. They tried everything they knew (similar to our own actions both your suggestions and my own attempts) and thought they had it solved.  I said "I don't think so" but as I walked from the store to my car (phone went to sleep - ) and ah ha!!! Problem there again, pop up in Mail from iCloud requesting I sign in (sigh). Walked back to store and they said only solution was to WIPE the phone as they had no clue either.  So, took the drastic step yesterday.  Spent the rest of the day yesterday trying to recreate everything.  My apps came over but not the data. So am working on all this now.  Don't dare try to restore anything from my backups (have several in iTunes on icloud & Computer) but restoring might (probably will with my luck) bring back  the problem. Certainly don't want to  take a chance. Meanwhile am getting good lesson, in recreating EVERYTHING.  Just some time and patience and a lot of thought.  So far, I don't see icloud pop-ups. Have no idea what caused it, apparently even the techs there don't either.
    Meanwhile, I want to thank both of you for all your help, suggestions and patience.

  • Single Sign On Questions

    We are using Active Directory as the user store and SSO works as advertised. There is a single set of AD groups that define membership in the roles being used for security. The problem is that this means that if someone is in the financial group they can get to the financial data in all environments: dev, test and production. I am trying to figure out a way to limit access in the dev and test environments. I thought I could do it by adding a filter for a particular group on the All Users Filter in the AD provider. While this does limit the users in the security realm it doesn't prevent users not in that list from connecting to OBI through SSO. Any Ideas?
    Another issue is that every instance that I have put SSO on it has broken the validateAnalysisCriteria logic that had been implemented in Answers. The system can no longer find the mycriteriablocking.js file where the code is. If you put the code into the answerstemplates.xml file it works. But I have run into problems with the size of the code that can embedded like that. If it gets over a certain size it no longer works. Putting it in an external file allows more code and thus a more complex query. But after implementing SSO it can't find the file referenced in the answerstemplates.xml. And if you roll SSO back off it still does not work. We use the validateAnalysisCriteria to prevent the combination of certain fields in a query. Perhaps there is another way to implement that kind of logic?

Quick workaround to stop other AD groups from accessing BI is by restricting access to OBIEE for that authenticated-role (which is everyone) who is a valid user in LDAP, you can restrict Access Home Page from Manage Privileges screen in OBIEE Administration screen.
    Give Access to Home access only to the Roles you want to give access to OBIEE, who ever is not part of these roles cannot access OBIEE.
