"Sign In to iCloud" repeats on iPhone 5 following update to iOS 8 & iOS 8.1.1

I have an iPhone 5
iOS ver.: 8.1.1 (12B435)
Model: MD658LL/A
Model Firmware: 7.03.00
When replying to mail messages I am repeatedly challenged to "Sign In to iCloud". - see attached photo
After installing the 8.1.1 update, I removed iCloud from the phone settings (as described at If you're repeatedly asked to sign in to iCloud using two-step verification - Apple Support; I am not using two-step verification) and powered the device down.
When I powered back up, I tested a mail reply message and was not challenged to "Sign In to iCloud".
Once I added iCloud back the feature presented itself again and continued to do so even after I signed in to iCloud.
This feature first presented after updating my device to iOS 8.
It is as though the connection to iCloud is repeatedly broken.
This happens irrespective of whether or not the message originates with my iCloud email address.
Please advise how I may remediate this nuisance.

I have the same problem, and as a result my iPhone 5 is completely unusable. It is in airplane mode, and I can't even get it out of airplane mode because this dialog box won't let me do anything until I sign in to icloud, and of course I can't sign in to icloud being off line.

You can sign into your iCloud account on more than two devices at the same time if you want. But if you want to sign out on your old phone, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll down and tap Delete Account, then provide your password (if running iOS 7). This will only delete the account and data from this phone, not from iCloud. Your other devices won't be effected by this.

Solved!! It turned out the problem was being caused by my firewall program little snitch. I had to go into the preferences and turn the network filter off and vola it solved it.

I am assuming you updated to version 5.1.1, not 5.0.1 since no legitimate version of 5.0.1 is available.

My iphone 3GS updated itself to ios 6 & then things went absurd.
iphone kept restarting after showing apple logo. The issue continued even after a complete restoration. Apple service now says firmware got corrupted and so I have to pay 9500Rs (200$) and get a phone replacement of the same model. And there is no other solution.
Can anyone give any other solution or else is it worth to get it replaced for 9500Rs.
I have spend money for no real hardware issue and apples improper firmware methodology and updates...

I having the same issue about the and iTunes says "The iPhone cannot be restored at this time because the iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable.". I've had the iPhone 3GS since it came out. It was working fine until I just tried to update it. It has NEVER been hacked or jailbroken. WE AND A FEW OTHERS are having the same issue then it is more than likely that this is an update issue. I took mine to the Apple store and the tech tried to update it and he came to the same problem and told me he couldn't update it. My assumption is that we are not the only one's with this issue and that if there was a way to update it to the update before this last one it might be a solution. I don't know how to get the previous update. Apple probably is aware of the problem, and hasn't come up with a solution yet. Or, enough people haven't complained yet. The tech suggested that there might be something wrong with the phone itself, but that couldn't be since it was working perfectly before I updated it and others are having the same issue. It is highly unlikely that a lot of people are having the same hardware issue all of a sudden at the same time. Apple/iTunes needs to fix this... and hopefully soon
Also: I can update or restore my iPhone 5 and other iPhones so it is not an issue with my firewall or other software on my computer. No one touches my iPhone or my computer they are secure, locked all the time, and I have no jailbreak software on my computer (Apple tried it and they are clueless at the moment from what I can tell).

Getting message that I'm not signed in to iCloud on my iPhone

I use iCloud on my iMac, iPad and iPhone, but I'm getting occassional messages on the iPhone that I'm not signed in to iCloud. Under settings it shows that I'm set up on iCloud. I re-enter my password for iCloud, then a few days later I get the same "not signed in to iCloud" message when I turn on my iPhone. Any ideas?

You must be signed into the mobile iTunes Store using the same Apple ID you used to originally purchase iTunes Match. On the iOS device go to Settings > iTunes and App Stores and tap the Apple ID. Log out, then log in with the correct ID.

Why do I keep getting signed out of iCloud on my iPhone/iPad?

I keep getting signed out of my iCloud account on both my iPhone and my iPad for no reason. Randomly I keep getting asked for my password but it is entered then I go back again and I am logged out. I am never logged out of iTunes. I have reset my phone several times, started from the beginnin, took it to Verison, I have no clue! I have even tried a new iCloud ID! HELP!!!!!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
All the data that is synced with iCloud will also be deleted from the device (but not from iCloud), but will be synced back to your device when you login again. It will not be deleted from Any of your Dad's other devices or from his account.

Cannot sign in into app store on iPhone after updating to iOS 8.2

I'm having a problem here, I wonder if anyone else has this problem too and also have a solution for it. so, I tried to restore my iPhone by iCloud backup.. everything seemed to work well until I did chose the backup I want, after that an error pop ups saying something like "Cannot connect to this backup server." or "Cannot connect to server" I don't remember exactly so I was forced to set up my iPhone as new. I did that, everything seemed but when I tried to download some apps I obviously had to log in into my Apple ID... and every time I try to log in into App Store/iTunes store I get this error "Cannot connect it iTunes store".
It never happened before updating to iOS 8.2
(It happened sometime in the past when I tried to log in into app store, but after closing the settings from the task menu and re-open it again it worked)
Check THIS post guys, I think it is happening to a lot of users.
