I created a new Apple ID for iCloud on my iPhone, but I can't seem to find a way to "sign out" or "log out" of that Apple ID (for iCloud) to sign in with another Apple ID. The only account login I could change was the Store.
How do I "log out" or "sign out" of iCloud on my iPhone? There is an option to delete the account, but I just want to log off. I want to keep the account name for future use.

It looks like the article below has the information you are looking for.
    iCloud: Change iCloud feature settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2613
    Turn off iCloud completely
Depending on whether you want to stop using iCloud on all or only some devices, do one or more of the following:
On your iOS device’s Home screen, go to Settings > iCloud, then at the bottom of the screen, tap Delete Account.
Note:   If you delete your iCloud account, iCloud will no longer back up your iOS data. You can still back up your device in iTunes (for more information, open iTunes and choose iTunes > Help).
On your Mac, open iCloud preferences, then click Sign Out.
If your Mac has OS X v10.7.5 and you turn off iCloud, your calendar information and reminders aren’t stored locally in iCal. If you want to retain your calendar and reminder information, you need to back it up before turning off iCloud. For more information, see the Apple Support article iCloud: Calendar & reminder data removed from Calendar and Reminders or iCal when disabling iCloud Calendar.
On your Windows computer, open the iCloud Control Panel, then click Sign Out.
Note:   If you turned on automatic download of music, app, or book purchases (in iTunes preferences or in Settings on your iOS device), your iTunes purchases are still downloaded to your devices.
Set up iCloud on your devices

  • Can you no longer sign out of the App Store with one ID and then sign in with another?

i can no longer sign out of an Apple ID on the App Store and then sign in with another. I did this in order to share games with my sons. Is this no longer possible? When I try it now I get a message saying he will have to wait 90 days before he can use his ID again.

The page that I linked to, associating a device and the 90 days, has been around for a few years (at least 3), but from what some people have posted on here the association doesn't always kick in.
Are the apps that you might want to sync in the computer's iTunes library that you sync his iPad to, or have you got copies of them somewhere so that you can add them to it and then sync them instead of redownloading ? If they were bought on a different computer, and are still on that computer, then you should be able to copy them over to his iPad's computer - by default an iTunes library is stored under :
    Mac OS X: /Users/username/Music
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music\
    Windows Vista: \Users\username\Music\iTunes
    Windows 7 and Windows 8: \Users\username\My Music\iTunes
There should be a 'Mobile Applications' or similarly named directory under it - copy the apps to a flash drive, if not already done so then authorise your account on his iTunes (Store > Authorise This Computer menu option) and then add them via File > Add To Library menu option

  • Is a signed jar with another unsigned jar possible?

Is it possible to use 1 signed jar with another unsigned jar with webstart. I read this wasn't possible with version 1.0, but what about higher versions? if so how to specify this?
    Thanks

All jars within same jnlp must be signed with the same certificate, but you can use extensions to have many jnlp with different (or no) signature within the same application.

  • I need to delete an iCloud account off my iPad to sign in with another but I don't have the password

Hi all, I have inherited an iPad from an ex employee of our company and I'm trying to delete his iCloud account so I can sign in with mine!
Every time I try deleting it I get asked for his Apple ID password which I don't have a can't get!
Are there any ways I can delete his account off this iPad an sign in with mine?

Sorry, no way around Activation Lock. If there was, it wouldn't be much of a security feature. You need the original owner to disassociate it from their account or you have a very expensive doorstop.

  • My new macbook air says I need to sign in with another id to download app store updates

I have a new MacBook Air.  I have two pending updates from the app store (garage band and iphoto) that it will not let me update because it says I am not signed in under the correct account.  I am signed into my itunes account so I don't know what I am doing wrong.  Can someone help me please?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Did you purchase a second-hand Mac? If so, this is the answer. You need to purchase Mountain Lion by reinstalling the original Mac OS X version that came with your MacBook.
If you didn't purchase a second-hand Mac and you have a Mid 2012 or Mid 2013 MacBook Air, make sure you started up in Recovery HD and that you are using the Apple ID you used to set up your MacBook Air. Another option is to use Internet Recovery (hold Command, Option and R keys while your Mac is starting), because some users said it doesn't require any Apple ID.
If this doesn't work, contact with the Mac App Store support > http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact

  • Can't sign in with a different Blackberry ID on this device

    Hi
Got a Z10 with my blackberry ID on it for a long time with no problems.
My wife bought a Blackberry Bold 9900 and instead of creating a new Blackberry ID, I put mine. She only wanted Facebook on it so I didn't want to create a new ID just for that app.
Now on my Z10, everytime I try to download an app from BB World, got a pop-up with "Verify your Blackberry ID". I try to enter my password, it says:
"You can't sign in with a different Blackberry ID on this device. Sign in with the original Blackberry ID used on this device". But it definitely is the original ID.
I also tried to reset password but the issue persists.
Thanks for any help you can provide,
    Martin

    That`s not going to work.
The reason for that is that your BBID is registered for your Blackberry  OS10. The Bold 9900 is a OS7
Therefore the apps avaiable for the OS10 and OS7 are going to be different.
I'm not sure that's true.  If you sign in with another device it should switch your info to that device.  You can still have multiple devices using one BBID.
Doing a Security wipe on the affected device should allow them to log in using any BBID, even one previously associated with a BB10 phone.  It will tell you that your data will be associated with the new phone and, in some cases, email will not go to the old phone.  In the case of BB10 as the previous phone, email will still go since it's not associated with BBID on BB10.

  • Not able to sign into Blackberry Protect. Backup and Restore function not working. "Your device isn't associated with a Blackberry ID"

Not able to sign into Blackberry Protect.  Backup and Restore function not working. Message is: "Your device isn't associated with a Blackberry ID."  My Blackberry Messenger and Blackberry World is working fine so I am sure its not an ID issue on the phone.  I can sign into Link, Blackberry.com and Protect.  I see my device in Protect but cannot send messages or view it on a map.  Times out with cannot reach device message.  BB Protect on Device has a swirling circle beside the on/of switch.  Cannot turn off.
I have deleted Link and re-installed.
I have reset phone to default(factory) and signed in.
    OS level is 10.2.1.3062
    BB Link is 1.2.3.56

I managed to figure this out myself. I had to delete the device from the Blackberry Protect website.  protect.blackberry.com.  I wiped my device again and signed in with my Blackberry ID.  I dont know if the step of wiping was necessary as I did not try my backup with the current configuration on the device following the delete.  Restore is in progress for me!

"You can't sign in with a different BlackBerry ID on this device. Sign in with orginal BlackBerry the original BlackBerry ID used on this device"
This is how i end up here:
I wanted to change the email address associated with my BlackBerry ID and to do that i deleted the orginal ID using the link from the email "delete this BlackBerry ID" . which i got when creating it for first time.
I also recreated the ID with my orginal email address but even then getting the above error.
Please, let me know how to fix it.

    Hi afzaal
You need to wipe your Q5 first to apply new/different BlackBerry ID. Do not forget to backup your data through BlackBerry Link before you wipe because all of your data will be deleted. You can restore the data after wipe process has completed.
    Cheers and good luck.

  • Verizon Messages - sign in with a different number

I had an iOS device and I could sign in with a different number than the Mtn that was on my device. I now have an android device and I can't figure out how to do that. It seems to default with the mtn that is on my phone. Any ideas?

I have never heard of this capability. I didn't pay much attention, but as far as I know, my iPhone 6 defaulted to the phone number of the device.
As far as I know, you cannot log into a different number on an android device. You could possibly go into the settings on the device and select "Disconnect Device" and see if it lets you sign in with another number. I am guessing it will only let you sign in with the device's number, though.
There ARE differences between android and iOS devices and this may possibly be one of them.

  • Why oh why did I sign up with BT!

Signed up for Infinity 2 weeks ago in new house after being with Virgin for many years with very fast flawless broadband.
Installation due on Monday and sure enough an engineeer turns up. Lots of talk of  mistakes at the exchange but he installs the line and the phone works but not the broad band. Off he goes saying it will be up in 20 minutes. Several hours later I call BT who say, no it will be up by midnight. Next morning, guess what, it isn't.
I call BT and listen to endless messages about how I can manage my account on line, except I can't.
I then get hold of tech support and they set up an appointment for the following afternoon. surprise, no one turns up because the appointment hadn't actually been booked properly. This despite the fact that I watched openreach working in the box in the street this afternoon.
I call again and spend 25 minutes on to tech support who say the engineer won't be coming because of a technical fault, BT speak for incompetence. I then speak to a very helpful lady who is utterly charming but can't book a next day appointment because Openreach don't do next day appointments, nor do they work at weekends. The helpful lady explains that they have no control over this third party supplier, who just happen to be wholly owned by BT. Helpful lady sets up an appontment for Monday.
Apart from helpful lady not one BT/openreach employee has told me the truth or followed through on their promises. If I cancel and sign up with another providor, guess what I will have to wait another two weeks and then be at the mercy of openreach yet again.
BT has to be one of the worst service providors I've even come across, an organisational shambles. I hate to think what the service will be like when it is actually set up.
    Sorry, rant over!

so have you got an appointment for an openreach engineer for monday 16th?  if not then could see if mods could help but even after you complete the email it can take up to 3/5 working for mods to get back to you in which time engineer should have been

  • How to sign in with different apple id

how to sign in with different apple id?

I would also caution you to make sure that you understand the implications of signing in with another Apple ID. If you changed your Apple ID, go to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap the old ID and sign out, then sign in with the new ID. Read this as well.

If you want to sign into another Apple ID so that you can download purchased content with that other ID without paying for it, that will lock you out of your own ID for 90 days. Read this for more information.

  • I get an error message when trying to sign into the support community with another Apple id. On the pick a username screen I get "an account utilizing this address already exists...." despite trying a few usernames. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

I get an error message when trying to sign into the support community with another Apple id. On the <pick a username> screen I get "an account utilizing this address already exists.Only one account per email address is allowed on the Apple Support Communities" despite trying a few usernames. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

This problem has been driving me demented. The instructions that Ivan gives have partially worked for me. By following his link
"How to find out if you have multiple Apple IDs" I was able to identify that yes I did have two apple accounts using the same e mail address. One was very old that I used to use for the forum boards and one is my much more recent ID that I use for everything these days. So I changed the e mail address for the old account which is associated with these discussion boards and that's the account that I am now posting this from. However even though the two accounts now have different e mail addresses when I try to log onto the boards with my more recent main apple ID I still get all the same errors as described at the start of this thread by rodgers_j. And of course that's the one I want to use so that I only have one itunes account for everything.
So if anyone has any more hints I'd be very grateful.

I'm currently signed onto my home network and want to go on with another computer but don't remember my password for my network.  Does anyone know where to find this?  It's a password that I set myself, not the one that came with my router.

It's in your Keychain on the computer you usually use to connect to your network - the "kind" will be "AirPort Network Password".
Your Keychain can be opened by using the Keychain Access program. It is in your Utilities Folder.
Open Keychain Access, and type airport in the search field. You will see a number of entries. Choose the one with the name of your wireless network, open it, and check the box next to "show password". Before it reveals itself you will be asked for your login password - the one you use to log in to your MacBook.
The network password will appear in the box.
    Quit Keychain Access.
