Sign on wi-fi automatically

Whenever my iPod touch is turned off the back on, I must go to settings and select the network before it will sign on the wi-fi.
Is there any way to set it up so it will sign on to wi-fi automatically?

If you are hiding your network name (SSID), you can get the touch to remember it if you do the following:
1. Reset your touch network settings - tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
- and -
2. When the touch is done restarting - tap Settings > WiFi > Other and log back into your network as if it is a brand new one - re-enter the network name, security setting, and your network password.
It should start remembering your network at that point, however, if it doesn't write back with some additional details about your network setup.

  • How can I sign out of itunes automatically

    Hi, I have 3 nephews (Triplets) that all share 1 computer. They all have their own Apple account now using their own Apple ID. They are only 12. With that said, I was wondering if thee was a way that I can set up iTunes to automatically sign them out each time they clos iTunes. It seems that everytime I they plug in the iPod into the computer, the store account for the last one will still be loged on. I would like to be able to have it automatically sign out, so they won't mess each others iPod's up.
    Right now it is for a Windows PC..
    Is this possible? or does someone have to physically sign themout each time?
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Only if you set up the computer to require separate computer logins. It is tedious to retrofit that.
    To help avoid problems you can turn off autosyncing so that you have to overtly start a sync. To turn off go iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says "Prevent iPods...".

  • So i lost my ipod, its signed into icloud and automatically connects to a wifi..but when i go onto 'find my ipod',  its saying i dont have a device connected with icloud? help?

    No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up or conbtinue to show off-line.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    iCloud: Erase your device
    iCloud: Use Lost Mode
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order
    Reporting a lost or stolen Apple product
    - iOS: How to find the serial number, IMEI, MEID, CDN, and ICCID number
    Note that it would only automatically connect to networks it previously connected to. Then it is unlikely it would find such a network

  • Once signed, how can I automatically have an email client open with the document attached?

    I have seen other forms simply open the email client once the user has signed the form, but I am unable to figure out how to do this :/
    Thanks,

    If you set up a digital signature field, you can attach a script (e.g., doc.submitForm, doc.mailDoc) to the "Signed" event.

  • Macbook Pro is not recognizing remembered wireless networks and does not sign on to them automatically anymore.

    When trying to connect to my home wireless network, my computer doesn't recognize my network, or any network as being accessed before.  It doesn't remember any networks.  I even went into the advanced settings and made sure to check the box that makes it remember networks, and it still doesn't remember them.  I am able to connect to my home network manually, but it will not automatically connect when I open the lid after it being closed, or when I turn off the wifi and turn it back on. What should I do?

    Thank you for your suggestion, and I have, (I actually tought that may have been the problem initially) unfortunately it was not successful. But I did go onto the Keychain Access and fixed the passwords in those and then deleted and reissued my prefered networks and it happened to work out just fine.
    Thank you again, clintonfrombirmingham!

  • No signing in preferred network automatically...

    Hi, my airport is set to join in the preferred/remembered network automatically, and also set to ask if preferred netweok is not available. However, neither occured when I turn on the laptop (PB G4 12"). I waited for a few minutes, and it neither did connect to my home network automatically, nor did ask to join available/open network. I've checked all my settings. Is there something wrong with my airport or software. I hate to make this connection, but everything was fine until I got my notebook back for replacing a new lower case from Apple. Is it possible that they somehow messed up the airport while changing the case?? Your feedback is much appreciated. (I know this might not be a big deal, but it is getting really annoying that I have to connect to my home network manually every time.)

    How do you get to the preferred networks window? I'm looking at my Network pref pane and I don't see anything about preferred networks. I do see a menu to select a specific network to connect to, and it contains the same network names as the Airport menu in the menubar.

  • PS CS6 Sign in

    Hola,
    Ok so I have a Macbook Pro and last week I purchased photoshop CS6 and I updated it to the latest patch. Photoshop itself works fine except every time I open photoshop a message appears that I have to sign in and register the product or it will stop working in a few days.
    So ok, I hit sign in. Then I get an error telling me my computer is not connected to the internet or my internal clock is off. Both are wrong... I have internet and my clock is fine. No matter what I do I get the same message even though I already have gone to adobe's site created a account and registered my product.
    Any solutions to this dilemma? I contacted the live chat and the guy admitted it was out of his expertise...
    O another thing to mention for some reason on my laptop I cannot access adobe's site. Safari tells me the server cannot be found so I had to go on my roomates mac desktop to create my adobe account and register my product. I've read that this is an issue for mac users but I never did find any solutions for it... even though the mac desktop can access it fine.

    No I'm not using creative cloud license. I bought the software off Amazon.com.
    As for internet issues, I literally spent the last 5 days researching the problem and I've tried everything mentioned in every forum, article, blog, etc and nothing works. Yet... I have VWare which allows me to partion my computer so I can run windows on my mac and I decided to try adobe.com on my windows 7 software and low and behold I could access adobe perfectly fine. I'm starting to think it's not my issue why I can'y connect, honestly I believe adobe has problems with the Lion OS.
    Anyways does anyone know how you generate a response code? I tried unistalling cs6 and reinstalling it and searching for the link in the installation that says "having trouble connecting to the internet" in order to go through the process of generating a reponse code except there is no link. To activate my Cs6 I have 2 options sign in now or sign in later. Obviously I cant sign in now so I have to choose sign in later. By choosing to sign in later cs6 automatically starts.
    So how do I get generate a response code?
    Btw is calling technical support better than live chat? Because to be honest my expierence with live chat has been A.) completely useless, B.) completely useless and C.) not to come off as a ***** but the grammer and language skills are so horredous I would rather try to diffuse a bomb with Helen Keller guiding me

  • Parsing a querystring GET request that has a pound sign (#)

    I apologize if this posting is in the incorrect forum, but I couldn't figure out which one was MOST appropriate, so I chose the most general. I have a Java program that processes a URL request from an external application. The URL is invoked with several query string variables, including one for ShippingAddress. I found yesterday that when their system passes a pound sign (#) in the URL, it crashes my program. Apparently, the pound sign is not just automatically converted to a hex equivalent (%23) like a space(%20) is, for example. So when I try to parse it, it fails. For example, the URL might be something like this:
    http://www.mydomain.com/process.nsf?openagent&shippingaddress=123 Main Street #307
    The spaces do not cause any issues. However, when it comes to parsing the " #307", it dies.
    To parse the query string, I'm using the following utility class. I'm not a Java guru, so my question is if there is a way to modify this class to handle the # sign in the URL? Going to the developers of the other system and requesting they replace the # with a hex value will take months. Thank you!
    import lotus.domino.*;
    import java.util.*;
    public class UrlArguments extends Hashtable {
    public UrlArguments() {
    public void fromString(String args) {
    StringTokenizer toks = new StringTokenizer(args, "&=", true);
    String tok = toks.nextToken(); // first token is command: skip it.
    String key = null;
    boolean bKeyNext = true;
    while (toks.hasMoreTokens()) {
    tok = toks.nextToken();
    if (tok.equals("&")) {
    if (bKeyNext && (key != null)) {
    // Null value
    put(key, "");
    key = null;
    bKeyNext = true;
    } else if (tok.equals("=")) {
    bKeyNext = false;
    } else {
    if (bKeyNext) {
    key = new String(tok);
    } else {
    if (key != null) {
    put(key, tok);
    key = null;
    // We have to special-case a valueless argument at the end.
    if (bKeyNext && (key != null)) {
    // Null value
    put(key, "");
    public void fromSession(Session session)
    throws lotus.domino.NotesException {
    AgentContext agentContext = session.getAgentContext();
    Document doc = agentContext.getDocumentContext();
    // First add all of the CGI variables. They are in the document context.
    Vector items = doc.getItems();
    for (int iItem = 0; iItem < items.size(); iItem++) {
    Item item = (Item) items.elementAt(iItem);
    put(item.getName(), item.getText());
    // Now parse the URL arguments themselves.
    fromString(
    doc.getItemValue("QUERY_STRING_DECODED").elementAt(0).toString());
    // A simple accessor to make casts unnecessary.
    public String getString(String key) {
    return (String) get(key);
    }

    ot just automatically converted to a hex equivalent (%23) # is a valid part of the URL, it is a separator for the fragment part.

  • Autosaving PDF after signing

    Hi,
    I have created a form that has signature fields. This is posted onto our Intranet, when a user signs the form it automatically tries to save a copy of the document  is there a way to turn this save option off but still allow the signing. The reason for this is because I have multiple signature fields in the document and want it to be saved only when I have signed the document.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    The short answer is no.
    The reason is two fold. First, signing in memory (that is computing the digest of the signed byte range) is too risky because the bits can change during the signing operation and you could end up signing something you didn't intend to. It's much safe to compute the digest over the bits written to disk. Second, you have to commit a Save operation in order to preserver the rollback (view signed version) functionality.
    I know it's not the answer you wanted to hear, but when it comes to signing we err on the side of safety.

  • [SOLVED] Pacman Key Signing Strange Activity

    Hi,
    I was just setting up the package verification system with pacman when I noticed it was doing something unusual.  When I ran:
    pacman-key --init
    instead of waiting for entropy, it just returned the prompt.  Next, when I ran:
    pacman-key --populate archlinux
    it seemed to go through the entire signing process itself, stating that they didn't need to be signed again (sorry for the vagueness as I can't fetch exactly what it said by redirecting it into a file or something).  The point is, usually I have to confirm each signature.
    Is this normal?
    Last edited by Mindstormscreator (2012-08-26 15:42:40)

    Does the contents of /etc/pacman.d/gnupg look normal? You could compare that directory with the one on the live media (diff -rq) to test that theory.
    When I set up package signing, I think I signed five master keys manually which I'd compared from two somewhat independent sources. After that, I don't remember having to *sign* any more signatures but only to confirm it was OK to import them. And now pacman seems to handle much of that automatically... But it is hard to imagine it would be meant to sign the master keys automatically since that would seem to undermine the point of having them in the first place.
    On a fresh install, too, the init should take longer because so little is going on. (Hence all the threads here about it hanging because people haven't read the instructions for creating entropy .)

  • Skype Instant Sign-out

    Recently, I've been having an issue where as soon as I sign into Skype it automatically signs me back out again. This issue has been consistent for several days on my KDE desktop. I was able to stay signed in for around 5 minutes after I moved my ~/.Skype directory. I have tried opening Skype from a terminal and there are no error messages provided. I also created the directory ~/.Skype/Logs and tried looking at the log file from a crashed session, but all this gave me was a binary blob which I couldn't read.
    I thought that this issue was isolated to my KDE desktop, but it has now spread to my laptop which runs i3. Is anyone else experiencing this?

  • HT203433 I can't consistently disable automatic downloads from iTunes

    I keep trying to disable automatic downloads from iTunes (don't want TV shows I've purchased through my Apple TV to download onto my computer), by going to iTunes - Preferences - Store - and it works for a while, then it starts to automatically download these TV shows again when I open iTunes. So it works some of the time, but not consistently. Very frustrating! Can anyone help?

    After reading some of the similar posts on here, I tried removing all the items from the iTunes downloads folder on my hard drive, and signing out from the iTunes store. Signing out from the iTunes store solved the problem temporarily, but as soon as I signed in again, the automatic downloads started again. When I looked in the iTunes downloads folder, there they were again - the .tmp files of the TV shows I DON'T want on my computer. Now I have another problem. When I went back into iTunes to check if the Store Preferences were still set to NO automatic downloads, I found those choices greyed out. They were still set to disable automatic downloads (no tick in those boxes) but now I can't change them at all. So I must have thrown out something I needed when I threw the contents of the downloads folder into the trash, and then emptied the trash. I tried to get the trash back using Time Machine, but couldn't find it in there. Sighhhh! I'm at my wits end and now I'm afraid to make things any worse than they already are.

  • Why is Mozilla Support not signing me in? PW & Username is correct

    When I try to sign into Support, I am automatically logged back out... the only way this one might work is because I hit the STOP button to keep it from signing me back out...
    WHy is Firefox Support signing me back out automatically before I can reply to my own support question??

    it was just a temporary glitch on the server side that should be fixed now!
