Signature eats text

When I choose a signature after writing a text, the signature bites off a chunk of text, actually the last sentence !
I can go around that bug, by setting the signature before writing the text, but it is a strange behaviour that didn't happen with Leopard !
Another bug, why did they send out this Snow Leopard before it's completion !?

It seems to work properly for me when I have none selected initially and then select one of my signatures. I get an extra blank line below the last line of the message, followed by the signature.
Are you using a particular font in the message text, one that is not a typical one such as Helvetica 12? I tried increasing the font size, but it still worked for me.
Are you using any special fonts or formatting for the signature text?
Is your setting in preferences Composing pane to use +Message Format+ of Plain Text or Rich Text?
As a test, what you might want to try is to create a new admin user account in System Preferences Accounts pane.

I have a +Test User+ account that I created after the Snow Leopard, and it has helped my fix a few minor issues. Log out of your normal account and log in to the new account. In the new account, all of your user preference settings will be default for Snow Leopard. See if the same problem occurs.
If it does not, the cause is something in your existing pre- Snow Leopard account. If it still occurs, the cause it likely to be at the system level (although it apparently does not occur for everyone). If you can give me some more details, I will see if I can reproduce the problem on my system.
Edit: Saw your edit. It still seems like a bug that required you do reset things. All of my "minor issues" have been the need to reset things for Snow Leopard. Glad you figured it out.

Signature Reason Text - Adding or Amending

I'm looking to create a digital signature that shows the reason field. When the user signs a document, he or she is presented with the possibility of choosing a reason from a drop down list (e.g., "I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document."). Is there a way through which the user can add or amend the signature reason text? Thanks so much!

To clarify, what I seek to do is not to choose another pre-established reason from the drop down list, but rather to amend the actual text of the reason (e.g., from "I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document" to "I certify under penalty of perjury that this document is accurate"). Can a reason be amended in this way, or can additional reasons be added to the drop-down list?

Signatures overwriting text in the body of the email

Hi, I did a bunch of looking this afternoon and haven't seen this as a topic thread.
I have several signatures that I use frequently. Many times when I choose a signature it will replace/delete the body of the email I have typed. The behavior is frequent but I have yet to discover what action triggers the event.. Complex signatures produce the behavior more frequently than simple ones.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?

You can try a free third party application called ImageWell
Download Imagewell and double click to open it.

Drag the photo from an open iPhoto library window right into the well of Imagewell
Click on the "edit" button
Click on the "add text button" which is the "Aa"
click on the photo where you want to add the text
click on the little box on the right to set the color
click on the "f" button to choose the font and the size making sure your text is highlighted so it is affected when you change the font and size.
Click "done"
when you are happy with it, drag it out of Imagewell's window to the desktop
That's it, you can even change the name of the photo and the size there too, before you drag it out of the window. Actually there is a lot of other fun stuff you can do with it like add balloon text and masks.
Drag the photo back into iPhoto to import it again if you want to.
These instructions are for an earlier version of Imagewell, so the newer version might be a little different.

Just discovered how to do it: Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars, scroll down to Signature: and where it says "from my Iphone on messages - delete it and add your name, and/or phone no--whatever you like...doesn't take up much space...This is apparently the "fix" the Iphone 4S did....
It did not originally come out with that on it...now it is there - must have come in an update..

How do I convert this type of document to word using the adobe converter without it coming out garbled. The signatures show as weird text.

You can't expect digital signatures to convert into anything useful in Word. That's the point of them really.

Yes you can, open messaging app and press menu / Settings / Signature... The Charge may have a little diffrent directory but this should get you to the option...
UPDATE: Read a number of forums and learned that the Charge doesnt have this option and users have been using Handsend because it allows this option..

As mentioned, this isn't possible. A (bad) workaround is to write a signature in the notes and copy it to your clipboard by double tapping and using the handles to make a selection and then hitting copy. Then whenever you send a text double tap and hit paste.

Why can't I choose my phone number as my signature in text messaging?

I am using iPhone 6. Under settings I cannot choose to use my phone number as my signature. It defaults to my Apple ID ( a personal e-mail) and I do not prefer to use that. I have been into settings but I cannot change my messaging signature to be my phone #. Please let me know how I can change this so that it works in the manner I prefer, not Apple's ID setting.

When I go in to settings>Messages > Send & Receive > My phone number is not a choice. I Cannot choose it (as it is greyed out). I am sure this is somehow related to using iMessage vs. text.
Since I use this phone both personally and professionally I'd like to just choose my phone number vs. e-mail. Thanks for your help so far! Need to find the proper solution.

How do I change my signature & other text on my outgoing e mails sent from my mobile?

When I bought my Blackberry Torch 9800 (2 years ago), I (somehow) managed to add some text giving my name, & my 2 business websites so that it appeared at the bottom of all outgoing e mails. At the same time, I deleted the wording that said something like 'message sent from my Blackberry'.
I now need to change the message (& also want to re-instate the fact that it comes from my Blackberry as this explains a brief reply when necessary'.)
I don't think I did it from any settings on the mobile. I think it was done 'somehow' on my main computer.
Any ideas??
