Signature Email Notification

Question

Hi, I am using html tags like \n and in body of signature email under workflow in Data Admin Tool Kit, but the tags are not  being replaced and they are coming directly as "SpecNumber \n Status". I am making changes under Override Translation under Custom Translations and currect version which we are using is of 6.1.0.3. Please suggest if there is any way to overcome the issue in the currect version. Thanks, Rohini M

Rohini,
Are you using actual HTML formatting in the email, and if so, have you updated the config settings to enable HTML emails? If you have, then you need to use HTML tags such as <br/> for a new line or <p></p> to surround your content.
However, for HTML formatting to work, you also must have a <table> tag somewhere in the email content, even if the table doesn't display anything.
If you are just trying to get a new line to work, and you don't need actual HTML formatting for your email, then here is what you do. There seems to be a bug in the DataAdminToolkit which prevents you from entering text with a newline into the (email) translation.
Therefore, you can could modify the SQL produced by the DataAdminToolkit Translation widget. In this case, you'll just want to add a newline by hitting Enter, so
update commonTranslationItemValues set langValue =
'SpecNumber \n Status...' where ....
should be
update commonTranslationItemValues set langValue =
'SpecNumber
Status...' where ....
