Signature in Apple Mail

I've added a signature to Apple Mail preferences that has a .jpeg and the option to add it at the bottom of an outgoing mail. The signature works OK with a text email, but when the email itself contains graphics, or an attachment, the signature reverts to the beginning of the message. How do I standardize the signature to always appear at the bottom in emails?
Thanks.

I would have to test this, but I suspect that in the menu under Edit, you have selected to insert attachments at the end of messages.  This is a good option, but may impact differently with a Signature.  The option for the Signature is only in reference to whether above Quoted Text, or Not.
I doubt it has to do with whether using RTF vs Plain Text, but will test as time allows.

Why do I keep losing signatures in Apple Mail after I select a signature in Preferences?

When you connect your Mac back up to the Exchange server, it will “sync” what is on the server to your Mac, losing all those older emails. Don’t reconnect until you have moved them.
To move them, Drag them from the Exchange folders on Mail and into an iCloud folder. The emails will then be stored on iCloud instead of on the exchange server.
You could also just create mailboxes on your Mac and drag them into that. They wouldn’t be accessible to other devices, but you’d have them on your Mac.
To create new Mailboxes, Click the Add ( + ) button at the bottom of the Mailbox list and choose New Mailbox…
You can choose where that folder is stored, either under On My Mac for a local mailbox, or in your iCloud account which will make a folder on the iCloud server.
In the future, you need to start moving your emails to those independent mailboxes as you file them, and set up a rule that will move anything older than 50 days into a “catch-all” Mailbox you create on that same location (either On My Mac or iCloud). Mail Preferences, Rules.

  • How do I keep my logo from distorting in my signature in apple mail?

I'm creating a signature in Apple Mail.  Every time I try, my company logo distorts.  How do I fix this?

There's usually a way to do stuff - even if poking around 20 steps instead of someone else doing it in 2!
You can usually do a right click on an image and you should see options to save it.  See below

  • HTML signature for apple mail

I added a standard signature to mail. Now I was trying to replace it with an webarchive file I created from a HTML file. but the signature folder is empty

Thanks but this option not available in Snow Leopard :
    a. Your Apple Mail is set to “rich text” messaging format as opposed to “plain text.” This setting is found by opening up your Mac Mail program and going to Preferences > Composing.
    b.  Open up Mac Mail and go to Preferences > Signatures. If the box “Always match my default message font” is checked, this will over-ride any text in your email signature. Leave it unchecked to be sure you’re seeing the real signature styling.
    c. When following the steps in the tutorial I linked to above, be sure the webarchive file you use to replace your signature file with doesn’t include the “.webarchive” file extension. This will mess up your email signature.
Have done all these but won't work in Snow Leopard as saving .webarchive in :
home folder > Library > Mail > Signatures
    is not available any more...

  • I have OSX 7.2 Lion but cannot figure out how to setup a signature on apple mail for my emails.

I just converted to OSx 7.2 Lion and starting using the applle mail instead of Entourage because I got a I phone 4S so I wanted to use the cloud.  But I can not figure out how or if you can setup a signature to use when emailing.  I had it with Entourage and its kinda nice for business so you can put your company name or title after you name without having to type it everytime.  Anyone know if you can do it in Lion?

It's possible that the W2 you used was set up with the EchoSign service. It allows you to draw a signature with a mouse. This is available as well with more recent versions of Reader (10.1+) if the form isn't Reader-enabled or secured. You will see this in the Sign panel when the document is opened in Reader.
You can otherwise get an EchoSign account and upload your document and send it to your customers through the EchoSign service. You can establish a free account to see how it works.

  • Adding Photos/Graphics to Apple Mail Signatures

Is there a way to add photos/graphics to the Apple Mail Signature so that it is always there when you compose an e-mail message?

  • Help with apple mail signatures please?

    Hello,
I've recently purchased a MacBook Pro - running LION.
I am trying to arrange my signatures in apple mail for my business email address and keep coming up against the following:
Everything is fine with the font's etc, it's when I come to placing small icons of the various social media platforms we have for the business and link them to their various URL's. What happens is it places a blue underline between each icon on my signature which looks really naff and also underlines all the "legal" nonsense at the bottom of my email signature (which is all just normal fonts) - which makes it look even naffer!!!!
Does anyone know how I can keep the icons in place with their links to the URL's without having these stuid blue underlines and also how to get rid of the underlines on the legal notes at the bottom please?

You need to assign a link to your button.
If you want to link to another page in your site - e.g. a
contact mailform or something - just click on the contact button
image in DW and browse to the required page in the Link field of
    the property inspector.
OR.. if you want to open an email client with a new message
to tan email address - click on the contact button image and type a
"mailto:" in the Link field of the property inspector... e.g.
    mailto:[email protected]
    Hope this helps.

  • How do i add a LinkedIn badge to Apple Mail signature

Does someone know how to add popular badges (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) to Apple Mail signatures.  Just badge icon with a hyperlink to my profile.

Actually I just figured it out.  Within your public profile on LinkedIn is an area for LinkedIn badges on right side.  Click there and it will display several types of badges.  Right click on the badge you want to use and do a "save as" to desktop.
Now go into Mail preferences, signatures.  Copy and paste the icon you've saved to your desktop wherever you would like the badge to display within your signature.  Then go to Edit on top menu and select "add link".  This will open a box where you need to fill in your LinkedIn address that displays right below your profile photo.  Save this.
This will turn the badge into a hyperlink that will connect to your LinkedIn Profile.  To test it, create a new email using this signature and do a test send.  When you receive the test email click on the badge to confirm that it takes you to your LinkedIn Profile.
    Good luck!

  • Apple Mail - HTML Signature Help

I created a html signature that I assumed would work in Apple Mail, but when I send an email I get the images and links not showing up with blue ? appearing.  The signature looks fine in the signatures menu of my preferences.
    <Edited by Host>

Making a fancy HTML signature is a little more involved than that. It's not very user friendly. There are a number of tutorials on the internet for hacking them up. Here is one example: http://www.tuaw.com/2010/10/16/mac-101-making-a-fancy-signature-in-mail-app/ and there are many others.
PS - I have asked the hosts to remove all the personal information from your post. You don't want that there.

  • How to add a photo to Apple Mail signature...? (he asks laughably)

Since the sender's Address Book photo is not included with emails sent
(even 'though Apple Mail makes it look like they are),
how can you add a personal photo to a Mail signature?
OR, is there another means of including a personal photo with every email sent?
**** How many people have asked for this feature / capability?  More than 10,000?
    Thx.

How many people have asked for this feature / capability?  More than 10,000?
As a matter of fact I have never seen it mentioned before. Perhaps only a few people need such an ego-trip every time they send an email.
The normal way is to add a photo within the text or as an attachment. The Signature only handles thumbnails.
But you can send your suggestion to Apple via their feedback link:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/
It will be read but you will not receive a reply.

I need for business purpose to have a separate font for my email  font and my signature. But everytime Apple Mail change my signature font according to the body font.

I sign the pdf with a digital signature which includes a picture of my written signature.  When I attach it to Apple mail or upload to mobileme, the signiture disappears.  My clients see nothing.  When I go back to the email in the sent box and open the pdf in the email there is no signature.  When I open the original pdf the signature is there
This problem does not exist in outlook 2011, but would have liked to use mail as outlook does not support caldev
I don't know if I can explain it any better.

  • Apple Mail signature being added rather than being replaced

When creating a message in Apple Mail, it has suddenly started adding an alternate signature below the default signature, rather than replacing it. I have to manually delete the default signature before sending the email. How can this be fixed? I'm running Mavericks on a 2013 MacBook Pro with 16 GB of RAM, and Mail is version 7.2.

I have several diffeent signatures that I use depending on the specific subject. One is my default signature that is set in the Signature preferences. However when I write an email that requires a differenrt one, I select it from the Signature box at the right of the email. In the past, the selected signature would replace the default one. Now, in the past few days, instead of replacing the default signature, the selected one is added below the default signature. This is the behavior that I would like to stop.
