Signature in Entourage question

I have a signature automatically setup to be included in emails. My issue is having them NOT be included automatically when I reply to someone. Most of the time I forget to not include it and end up having 5 images.
Is there a setting in Entourage where signatures will not be automatically included in replies or forwards?
Thanks,
Tom

I believe the only option you have to NOT include signature automatically is to edit the mail account where you have set up a signature and set the Default signature to "None" under Message Options.

Is there a place on this discussion site to post Entourage questions? ie or even other office suite questions?

Since Entourage is not an Apple software product, there is no specific forum on Apple Discussions. However, you could post in the applicable OS forum.

  • Signatures in Entourage

The signaures I secified shows up when I send an email in Entourage. But if I reply to a message the signature shows up AFTER the text from the person that replied to me. How do I get it to show up after my "replied" text?

Since your post really isn't related to "Windows Compatibility," you might want to post your question to Microsoft's Mac Newsgroups:

  • Java Digital Signature - certificate validation question

I am not sure if this is possible but here is my problem/question:
I need to publish a web based program in Citrix. My question is, everytime a user logs into Citrix and executes this application they are prompted to trust the Java certificate. Usually a user would choose "always trust" and they would not be prompted again. However, the Citrix environment is setup so that when a user logs out of Citrix all their user configuration is deleted. So the next time they log in, they are prompted once again to trust the Java cert.
Is there a way to automatically sign this certificate before it prompts a user or a way to script something that wouldn't ask the user again to validate this? Sorry if this sounds like I have no idea what I am talking about but I don't :)
The Citrix admin said he could launch this command or script (if possible) before the application is launched so it would sign the cert or place the needed cert in the users profile. Hope this makes sense.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Scott

  • Entourage Question: Enabling the "From" field for Send on Behalf emailing..

You know like in Outlook 2003 Pro you can enable the "From" field and send an email as someone else (so long as you have permission to so that is)? How do you enable that same field in Entourage 2004?
    best regards,

    Hi,
Please make sure Domain1 is trusted by Domain2, then we can assign send as permission to Domain1 users for "DL System Admins" in Domain2.

  • Time Signature - A specifik question :-)

    Hi Forum
I work in FINALE As well as in LOGIC.
    1.
If I've written a long passage in finale changing timesignature every bar, how to export these into LOGIC?
    2. Im still not familiar with the three tools in Arrange>region>Cut/insert time and the differences between these three. What I often want is to move and insert ( in the middle of a sequenze ) a section with a lot of changing meters.
But I never succed in getting the right bars and timesignatures.
Logic always arsk to insert ekstra bars with strange meters in order to perform my move?
    Yours
    Bo Lundby-Jaeger

The only consistent way I have found is:
    1. In Finale save as ... MIDI file ... (Separate track for each instrument)
In the finder right click (control click) on the MIDI file
    Select open in... Logic Pro
The MIDI file will now open in Logic Pro with Tempi (If you have set them up) and all time signatures in place. (sometimes the opening tempo will be wrong, but all subsequent tempo changes should be OK. You will need to adjust the opening tempo in the Global tempo track.
I don't know a way to get time signatures from a Finale file into an existing Logic "song"

  • Stupid Entourage Question

I'm drawning a blank here. I'm doing a backup, and can't recall or find out where Entourage stores your locally-saved mail. I'm using IMAP, but I archive my mail locally.

    Entourage stores everything in home/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office [2004/X] Identities/[your identity]/Database.

  • How to edit a PDF created with Acrobat XI Pro after signatures have been applied (like I can in 7, 8.0

I have a major issue that I need to resolve before we can purchase Acrobat XI Pro:
Currently, with Acrobat 8.1 Pro, after all signatories sign a document, we add an Effective Date (we add it after they sign since we don't know when the last signature will be acquired and we can't have an Effective Date that is before the date of the last signatory, otherwise, it would be effective before they signed it, which is not possible). I'm also allowed the latitude (as stated in our Documentation Control procedure) to make spelling corrections, hyperlink updates and minor formatting changes (by using the typewriter tool and also by replacing a page that is NOT the signed page if the change repaginates the document or involves modifying a hyperlink that has changed).
In all of the previous versions of Acrobat that we've used (7 Pro, 8 Pro and 8.1 Pro) , this has been easily possible and all changes would be listed under the Signatures tab, which is exactly what we want, which is traceability.
I'm using the trial version of Acrobat XI Pro now but am getting the message "This document is signed and can not be edited." If I bring the same PDF that was created from Word 2003 & 2013 using Acrobat XI Pro into 8.1 Pro, though, I CAN add the date, use the typewriter tool and replace non-signed pages, save it and exit without clearing or losing any signatures.
My question is this: How can I do this in Acrobat XI Pro, as XI Pro (in the Signature pane) also lists the changes made to the document when it was edited using 8.1 Pro? (It's OK that the changes made to the PDF then mark the signatures as "invalid", as the reason why they were invalidated is also listed in the Signature pane, e.g. "Form Field Added", which is usually the applied Effective Date.)
    Thanks for any help!

Acrobat versions prior to 9 had a bug which allowed you to do what you did. In Acrobat 9 this bug was fixed. In order to do what you want you need to certify (apply special certification digital signature with your certificate -- it is "Certify (Visible/Invisible)" choice in the "Work with Certificates") your document first. In the process of certification you can specify which modification permissions you allow the users of your document to make after signing. Certification signature must be the first signature in the document.

  • "Find Related Items" in Entourage (like Outlook on PC)?

    Hi,
I use Outlook on a Win XP machine at work and Entourage on my Mac at home. I cannot find anywhere in Entourage where there is a command that behaves the same as the "find related items" command does in Outlook. I use this extensively on my work computer because it automatically finds any messages in my inbox and sent items which belong to the same thread and allows me to quickly select all those
messages and file them in another folder together.
There is a "Find Related Items" command in my Edit menu in Entourage but it is always greyed out. From what I can read about it, it will only find "related" items which I have manually created links to. Not very helpful in my opinion. Is there a third party script or something which gives Entourage the same functionality as Outlook?

If you don't get an answer here, there is a help
    newsgroup devoted to Entourage:
I tried there first and have gotten no replies. I saw that others were asking Entourage questions in this forum so thought I'd give it a shot. Any solutions I get from either forum I will make sure to post to the other forum.

  • Collecting digital signatures on forms

Hello. I'm working on turning our paper based forms into forms people can fill out on the computer through Acobat 9 PRO.
I know that you can distribute a form to multiple users who can fill it out and send it back; but I'm needing to send multiple users a filled out form, have then review it and digitally sign the document. So....example:
I send the same form to 2 different, who review the information on their own computers and digitally sign the form and submit it back. So now I have 2 versions of the same form, each one with one signature.
My questions is, is there a way to combine those 2 forms so that I have the same form with both signatures on it???
Also, if that's not an option, is there a way to set up a workflow so that when one person digitally signs the fom and hit submits it goes to the next individual who needs to sign it, untill it's all be signed and then submited back to the distributor? Thanks.
Hope that's not too confusing. Thanks for the help.

If you need to collect multiple signatures on a form, then everyone must have access to and sign only one copy of the form.  This is why I suggested using the shared review process.  This process does NOT require using the Adobe server as was suggested earlier by astarxy.  You can use any web server (even a free hosting account); in my case for internal use I created a SharePoint site which I use as the document and comments repository.  Using Acrobat Pro, we place signature fields on the form for each participant.  How you set these fields up can really simplify the process:
In the Tooltip for each field you may want to put something like "John Doe Signature" or "Business Analyst Signature" so that it is clear who signs where.
If not using shared reviews, you may want to try adding a script to execute on the signed tab.  The script could email the form to you and all other users that are required for your process.
If you need hand-written signatures you could have each person scan their signature to a PDF and assign the PDF to a custom stamp.  Users simply stamp where required.  I created a menu button that flattens annotations; if I used this stamping optin I would want to either have the option of using that button or have some code within the form's WillSave action to flatten annotations.
If using shared reviews you have the option to customize the email that will be sent to participants.  Here you can specify any requirements and give directions, such as "Mike in accounting should review and sign first, followed by Doug in Legal.  After Doug signs, the document should be reviewed/signed by Jane in Operations..."  You could also comment directly on the form if needed.
There are many possibilities beyond these, although most of which are fairly complex or involve 3rd party companies such as Docusign.  Hopefully the ideas listed will help get you going in the right direction.

  • Signature Validation SLOW

Even though the identity is in my trusted identities the validation of signature is taking a long time. Im not sure why I need to validate at all since the identity is trusted.
    Process:
The form contains a submit via email button which is set to sign the submission (entire submission as there may be attachments). When I import the data to a copy of the form on another machine I see in the signatures tab that the Data Signature has a question mark. Opting to validate the sig takes a long time and when the window opens the summary states "Data has been altered or corrupted" (where and how?) "The signers identity is valid" but overall diagnosis is "signature INVALID"
    what am I missing here?
    Thanks

I've found the solution. I had several "page X of Y" fields in my form and had the signature block set to lock them after signature. Once I excluded those fields from being locked, the problem resolved itself.

  • JSF-Hibernate signature mismatch

Hi all, I am performing some experiments that use both JSF and Hibernate technologies (with JDev10.1.3. preview). A single class that uses hibernate runs without any problems and gets data from Db as list. If i try using this class as a bean for a JSF datatable I get the following error:
    javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: void org.objectweb.asm.ClassVisitor.visit(int, int, java.lang.String, java.lang.String, java.lang.String[], java.lang.String)     at com.sun.faces.taglib.html_basic.DataTableTag.doEndTag(DataTableTag.java:501)...
Tha API declared signature for the 'visit' method is
(int version, int access, String name, String signature, String superName, String[] interfaces)
but hibernate-related libraries allow only the 'wrong' signature. My question is: where does the JSF framework touch this class? The hibernate framework alone does not give any exception, thus there must be some problem with JSF, (maybe a library problem).
Any help would be really appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

I gave a look at your article and noticed we used different hibernate versions (I was using hibernate 3.0). I downloaded the libraries you suggested and used them. No more errors appear! Hamletic question: is it 'normal' that the latest version of a product is 'worse' (well, for me it is) than the previous ones?
    Thanks a lot

  • New account, Entourage info gone...

I'm working on a client's mac, and 2 users need to work on the computer, so I setup another account. No prob. I'm no Entourage expert though. The administrator account has Entourage, with 2 users in it, so the ladies were simply opening Entourage, and choosing which user they were and bam.
So, I setup the new account, and when I opened Entourage, it retained no settings from before. Fine I went to Entourage on the admin side and exported everything. Didn't work. I re-plugged in all the settings for the one user - same thing. It connects, but all the stuff they had on the sides and whatnot is gone.
I know this is more an Entourage question, but also an account question. I even copied the Microsoft User Data folder or whatnot into the new account.
    any ideas?

Ok-- you gotta be kidding me! After a little more research, I read somewhere that by "re-naming" the "Microsoft User Data" folder with all the Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac files, it will erase the email Entourage email database?  All I did was re-name it with a "Z" in front of it to push it down in my folders list. That can't possibly be true, can it?  I can't restore, rebuild or "switch identities" to get my data back!!!  Somebody help, if you can. Thanks.  Worst case, is that I have a much older harddrive back up that I think I can restore my folders..... Ugh.
