Signature in Logic Post

Ok, this is not a direct Logic question but rather a question about posting on the Logic Forum.
After the latest redesign of the Forum, there is no signature field any more that gets added automatically at the end of the post. If I understand correctly then you can choose to add your "Products" line to message, but this is only available in new posts and not in reply posts.
On top of that, someone mentioned that it is not allowed to use URLs, written somewhere in the user agreement (which I should have read, learning from South Park).
I understand that Apple might want to limit blatant advertisement but after all, they are using their customer for doing customer support for them without paying so the least they could allow them to advertise their myspace page or link to their latest CD, etc.
In my case it is even worse. I published a number of FREE Logic manuals that I make available for download from my website as a service to the Logic community. There I describe in detail the functionalities that are not found in the official manual or explained differently. I used the link to that site in my signature in the past. But know if I'm doing that I would violate the terms of agreement.
Would it be ok to use a QR code as a signature like that, at least it doesn't look like a URL:

And these signatures do show up in Mail>Preferences>Signatures?

    If your signature was working before, reviewing these steps might identify what may have changed.

  • How To Add A Signature To Your Posts

    A signature is a great way to personalize your posts. You can add a brief details about your products or just a personal tagline to distinguish your posts.
    Creating or editing your signature is very easy. This is how you do it:
    1. Log into the Forum.
    2. Now, at the right pane, below your user name, click on My Account.
    3. You will land on the Personal Profile tab, under Personal Information.
    5. Scroll down to the text box named Signature.
    6. Now, enter your preferred text in the signature.
    Your signature should be brief and should not contain any inappropriate content. For example, you can put any simple text as the signature.
    Or, you can use a HTML code to color or design your signature accordingly. You can even add small pictures using HTML code.
    7. Once done, scroll down and click on the  button.
    Now, all your new and existing posts will have the signature at the bottom. If you want to make more changes, perform the same steps again.
    Happy posting!

  • Encode shared key signature in Azure Storage Queue

    I'd like to use Azure storage REST api for queue, and in order to add the authentication infomation to the http header, I have to get the shared key.
    From http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/dd179428.aspx, I saw the string to sign like this:
    I found it was very strange, I prefer it's C# code, and some place "\n" missed and so is "+", as I made up all stuffs, the authentication still failed, I do not know why, here is what I did:
    using (var httpClient = new HttpClient())
    var verb = "PUT";
    var contentEncoding = "";
    var contentLanguage = "";
    var contentLenght = "0";
    var contentMd5 = "";
    var contentType = "text/plain; charset=utf-8";
    var date = DateTime.UtcNow.ToString("R", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture);
    var ifModifiedSince = "";
    var ifMatch = "";
    var ifNoneMatch = "";
    var ifUnmodifiedSince = "";
    var range = "";
    var canonicalizedHeaders = "";
    var canonicalizedResource = "";
    var stringToSign = verb + "\n" + contentEncoding + "\n" + contentLanguage + "\n" + contentLenght + "\n" +
    contentMd5 + "\n" + contentType + "\n" + date + "\n" + ifModifiedSince + "\n" +
    ifMatch + "\n" + ifNoneMatch + "\n" + ifUnmodifiedSince + "\n" + range + "\n" +
    canonicalizedHeaders + "\n" + canonicalizedResource;
    httpClient.BaseAddress = new Uri(string.Format("https://{0}.queue.core.windows.net", accountName));
    httpClient.DefaultRequestHeaders.Clear();
    httpClient.DefaultRequestHeaders.Add("Authorization", string.Format("SharedKey {0}:{1}", accountName, Hash(accountKey, stringToSign)));
    httpClient.DefaultRequestHeaders.Add("x-ms-date", date);
    var result = httpClient.PutAsync("myqueue", new StringContent(""));
    result.Wait();
    static string Hash(string message, string secret)
    var messageBytes = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(message);
    var secrectBytes = Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(secret);
    using (var hash = new HMACSHA256(secrectBytes))
    var hashMessage = hash.ComputeHash(messageBytes);
    return Convert.ToBase64String(hashMessage);
    Anyone can help me?

    Hi,
    Please try this code, I tested it on my side, it works fine.
    String accountName = "***";
    String accountKey = "***+**";
    String signature = "";
    String requestMethod = "POST";
    String urlPath = String.Format("{0}/messages", "inputtext");
    String storageServiceVersion = "2012-02-12";
    String dateInRfc1123Format = DateTime.UtcNow.ToString("R", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture);
    String messageText = String.Format(
    "<QueueMessage><MessageText>{0}</MessageText></QueueMessage>", "test2");
    UTF8Encoding utf8Encoding = new UTF8Encoding();
    Byte[] messageContent = utf8Encoding.GetBytes(messageText);
    Int32 messageLength = messageContent.Length;
    String canonicalizedHeaders = String.Format(
    "x-ms-date:{0}\nx-ms-version:{1}",
    dateInRfc1123Format,
    storageServiceVersion);
    String canonicalizedResource = String.Format("/{0}/{1}", accountName, urlPath);
    String stringToSign = String.Format(
    "{0}\n\n\n{1}\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n{2}\n{3}",
    requestMethod,
    messageLength,
    canonicalizedHeaders,
    canonicalizedResource);
    using (HMACSHA256 hmacSha256 = new HMACSHA256(Convert.FromBase64String(accountKey)))
    Byte[] dataToHmac = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(stringToSign);
    signature = Convert.ToBase64String(hmacSha256.ComputeHash(dataToHmac));
    String authorizationHeader = String.Format(
    CultureInfo.InvariantCulture,
    "{0} {1}:{2}",
    "SharedKey",
    accountName,
    signature
    Uri uri = new Uri(string.Format("https://{0}.queue.core.windows.net/", accountName) + urlPath);
    HttpWebRequest request = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create(uri);
    request.Method = requestMethod;
    request.Headers.Add("x-ms-date", dateInRfc1123Format);
    request.Headers.Add("x-ms-version", storageServiceVersion);
    request.Headers.Add("Authorization", authorizationHeader);
    request.ContentLength = messageLength;
    using (Stream requestStream = request.GetRequestStream())
    requestStream.Write(messageContent, 0, messageLength);
    using (HttpWebResponse response = (HttpWebResponse)request.GetResponse())
    String requestId = response.Headers["x-ms-request-id"];

  • Add signature

    Hello,
    How to add Signature to the post? Or do we need to add manually every time?
    I have not seen such option in My control panel/settings.
    Thanks.

    What's wrong with egotistical purposes? I fondly remember some sigs years on. Gotta be short though.
    Heck, I can know more about you from 1993 than from seeing your posts here...There's a difference between a sig and a tagline.
    Stopped using sigs quite early. Back then it was also discouraged as it only add useless bytes to transfers over 9600 BAUD modems.
    Was very fond of the latter. Use RoboMail to read mail forums offline (the days of Sparky and QWK) and had a sizeable tagline database in my mail reader. And sometimes, a worthwhile response was simply an empty mail with a tagline. :-)

  • EMAGIC AUDIO LOGIC PLATINUM- ANYBODY KNOW BOUT THIS PROGRAM?

    I recently purchased an Emagic audio logic platinum 3.6 software program without knowing Emagic no longer exists- my question is; is this program compatible with apple programs or am I outta luck and limited to outdated and discontinued accessories? I'm a musician, who is looking to learn this aspect of the music business and would appreciate your help, if you have experience with this program. Thank you- Tony in Las Vegas

    If you're still running System 8.6 (as per your signature), then Logic Platinum 3.6 sounds about right: It's from the mid-90s and is so far beyond obsolete that it can be deigned antique.
    If you bought the Windows/PC version, however, you're outta luck, because that will not run on a Mac.

  • Saving signature in the profile...

    Shoudn't there be an option to save your signature in the profile ? If someone writes his name and blog URL in the signature, he has to type or copy/paste it for every post he replies to. This is a very basic thing and present in almost all the forums.
    What you guys think ?
    PS: Another stupidity, while adding tags you need to seperate multiple tags by "space" and join by an "underscore" if you want to combine two words. Its funny really. Why not simple comma as everywhere else on all the forums, blogs etc...

  • Melodyne in Logic 8

    Had hoped that Apple would have fixed a bug for the Logic 8, but...
    Celemony says:
    "Logic doesn't send out the correct beat information when using any kind of /8 bar signatures in Logic.
    Only /4 bar are recognized."
    So.. when you make a 9/8 project in Logic you can't run Melodyne Bridge/Plug-in, since you'll get a playback speed that is wrong.
    This is the only workaround:
    Change Logics bar signature to 9/4 and to use the double speed of the tempo.
    Does anybody know how to make Apple see this and correct this?

  • HDMI and DVI port not working on 880GMA-E35

    Hello,
    I want to use the HDMI port of my 880GMA-35, but the monitor is not getting a signal. I know that the board has two jumpers to switch between the DVI and the HDMI port. In the delivery state the jumper is set to HDMI, but I don't get a signal. There is also no signal, if I switch the jumper to the DVI pins. I have tested this setup which different cables (HDMI and DVI) and two different monitors.
    After this test I get a guarantee replacement of the board. The new board is also not working with HDMI or DVI. The VGA port of the first board was working as supposed and I don't see any Bios settings to activate the monitor ports.
    Are there any suggestions to solve my problem?
    Thanks in advance and kindly regards
    Daniel
