Signature in Numbers
I make my client agreements in Numbers. Then I print this and have my client sign them. I was thinking how much money I could save on paper and ink if I just showed them the agreement on my iPad in Numbers. Then they signed it and then I emailed them a PDF. Is this possible?
You may be able to do that if you convert it to a PDF and have them sign the PDF using an app. See:

Log in as Guest. I opened Pages at this point but I don't know if that's required.
Log out and then back in as your normal user.
Pages, Numbers and Keynote now were fine for me and Mail signature changes were saved and available for later use.
For those trying to edit the signatures to get their old ones back - I just found an old sent mail and copied the signature there into the newly created one via the normal preferences. No need for opening .mailsignature files and editing them. This included various colours, sizes, an image and a link with no problems.

The idea was to store the word and its signature as an object, after which I would sort. Howerver, when I tried reading in the values eg: check[]=str, number, it did not work. I tried 2 separate arrays, but now I cannot return the correct word. I need some help on this one.
Questions:
How could I combine both arrays so that I could sort them, then search a value in the array and return the correct string?
I tried a class but i could not get it to work.I'm not going to try to read all that messy code. Here is some advice.
1. Don't use parallel arrays.
2. If you're going to insist on doing it the wrong way and using parallel arrays, then first get your sort working for a single array.
3. If you're going to insist on doing it the wrong way and using parallel arrays, then after getting the sort to work with a single array, in the part where you're swapping elements, whatever you do to swap in the first array, you'll need to do to the second array as well.

JulietMost, if not all, Smart Phones will recognize phone numbers and allow you to call. On every other device, it doesn't make much sense to have a link as it wouldn't work on a computer that doesn't have some built-in telephony system.

Is there a way to add an electronic signature in the Numbers application, like you can in Excel?
I am trying to add my electronic signature to a spreadsheet created in Microsoft Excel and I have brought it into Numbers on my Mac. I can't seem to find the function in any of the menus.

I'm a car dealer and I created the bill of sale for my dealership in a Numbers spread sheet. I want to be able to use my iPad mini w retina for customers to sign directly on my iPad then print out the BoS with signatures on it so I can make transactions easier for my customers in case I have to meet them somewhere instead of my office. Then I would have the ability to send them another copy if they happen to lose theirs without digging thru my files to find the hard copy and scan and send it to them.

Pauses in phone numbers and signature lines?
Two basic questions:
How do I insert a "Pause" or "Wait" character in my phone numbers. The P and W from my standard phone is no longer recognized by my Razor M.
I use Gmail and sometimes reply via my phone - do I use a special signature account in Gmail that says "sent from my phone" or is there a more automatic method that recognizes I'm sending from phone (or tablet...).

Is it possible to set up a signature box in numbers?
Hello,
I have been using numbers to creat forms for my business and love the ability to add formulas, and looks great. I was wondering if anyone had a solution for adding a section or box for signatures, this way my clients could fill out a form and sign and initial using a styls or finger like with apps like good notes....
Or recomend a good app to creat forms.

DavidI sign PDFs using the Preview application. If you open a PDF you can use the menu item "Tools > Annotate > Signature >..."
You have to set this up in Preview preferences "Signatures":
This is the best way I have found. It will not allow you to sign directly in Number but you can print then (from the PDF menu) select open in Preview, then save the signed pdf: -
Variable numbers of digital signatures in a form?
I'm trying to build a template form that can be used to propose new projects. I have a dynamic table where the author can add rows to add offices that will be involved in the project. I also have a table at the end that represents a "workflow" that the final proposal will go through so that all the offices involved can approve the document. Right now, when a row is added to the offices table, a corresponding row is added to the workflow table. But I can't place digital signatures in the repeating portion of the workflow table. I understand this is not supported, but does anyone know of another way to achieve the same effect? Basically I need a form that can support a variable number of digital signatures.

I'm not sure I fully understand your question. Are you looking to add signatures in an automated fasion in an ad hoc fasion, or did you want to design the forms with signature fields already on the PDF form?
Assuming you are using LiveCycle Designer to create the forms, you can ad signature field(s) to the form when you create the forms. When a user clicks on the signature field, they will be prompted to select a digital certificate to sign the form with. Note that if the end users only have Reader, the form will need to be Reader Extended (to enable the ability to sign a PDF with reader)
There are other third party methods to sign PDF documents such as CIC's SignIt.

czy pizzę. W nowo powstaj±cym budynku znajdzie się także miejsce na
czynn± rozrywkę. Powstanie fitness klub, który ma ¶wiadczyć szeroki
wachlarz usług odnowy biologicznej.

W piwnicznych pomieszczeniach przygotowywane jest też miejsce na pub

i Interlink. Pozyskane z Giełdy 35 mln zł Hyperion planuje wykorzystać do
ekspansji terytorialnej, ale także do zaoferowania usług WiMAX, VoIP i telewizji internetowej.
Przejęte spółki s± operatorami sieci teleinformatycznych na terenie miast:
Toruń, Bydgoszcz i Chełm. Przejęcie zwiększy zasięg działania Grupy Kapitałowej
Hyperion w rejonie Polski północnej i umocni jej pozycję na wschodzie kraju.
6 wrze¶nia 2006 Hyperion zawarł z Beat± Paszke-Sobolewsk±, Ewelin±
Fiedorowicz oraz Jarosławem Paszke umowę nabycia spółki Intelink przejmuj±c
600 (100%) udziałów tej firmy za kwotę 912 tys. złotych. 7 wrze¶nia 2006 r.
Hyperion zawarł z Piotrem Żelisko oraz Jarosławem Kalińskim umowy nabycia
375 udziałów spółki Metronet stanowi±cych 37.50% udziału w kapitale zakładowym
tej firmy za cenę blisko 185 tys. zł. Po transakcji nabycia udziałów – Hyperion S.A.
posiada już 95% głosów oraz kapitału zakładowego w Metronet sp. z o.o.
Akwizycje lokalnych operatorów sieci teleinformatycznych s± elementem
strategii GK Hyperion, która zakłada stworzenie na polskim rynku jednej z
głównych grup niezależnych dostawców usług telekomunikacyjnych i
rozszerzanie zasięgu własnej szerokopasmowej infrastruktury teleinformatycznej.
Obecnie w Grupie Kapitałowej Hyperion znajduje się 9 spółek, w których
Hyperion posiada większo¶ciowy pakiet akcji.
Hyperion S.A. zadebiutował na GPW w Warszawie w
sierpniu bież±cego roku. Spółka pozyskała z rynku 35 mln zł,
które przeznaczy w większej czę¶ci na konsolidację rynku usług teleinformatycznych.
Głównym kierunkiem akwizycji jest północna i centralna Polska.
Akwizycje rozszerz± zasięg działania GK Hyperion, umożliwiaj±c m.in.
zwiększanie jednostkowych przychodów abonamentowych spółki.
Pozostałe wpływy z emisji będ± wykorzystane na wdrożenie nowych
technologii - m.in WiMAX - oraz usług telefonii IP i telewizji internetowej.
Czę¶ć ¶rodków zostanie przeznaczona na wykup obligacji wyemitowanych
w ramach pre-IPO w grudniu 2005 roku.
Hyperion na 2006 rok prognozuje trzykrotny wzrost zysku netto - do ponad 3,5 mln zł oraz
dwukrotne zwiększenie rentowno¶ci EDITDA do 6,5 mln zł w porównaniu do roku ubiegłego.
W latach 2003-2005 przychody Grupy Kapitałowej Hyperion wzrosły o ponad 270%,
natomiast zysk netto zwiększył się trzykrotnie. Na koniec 2005 roku zysk netto
spółki przekroczył 1 mln zł, przy przychodach rzędu 15,5 mln zł.
Hyperion S.A. funkcjonuje na rynku od 2000 roku. Pocz±tkowo firma prowadziła
działalno¶ć na terenie 5 miast (Bielska-Białej, Lublina, Katowic i Rzeszowa, Łodzi)
rozszerzaj±c stopniowo zasięg na kolejne regiony Polski. Firma operuje przede
wszystkim na dużych osiedlach, w ponad 20 miastach Polski. W 2000 r. Hyperion
uzyskał 15-letni± koncesję na ¶wiadczenie usług telekomunikacyjnych oraz
zezwolenie na zakładanie i używanie sieci telekomunikacyjnej. W roku 2005 Hyperion
wprowadził usługi telefonii IP w ramach Triple Play oraz rozpocz±ł przygotowania do wdrożenie technologii WiMAX.
W celu zwiększenia możliwo¶ci dostępu do kapitałów niezbędnych do dalszego rozwoju,
wła¶ciciele Spółki podjęli decyzję o wprowadzeniu Hyperion SA na Giełdę Papierów
Warto¶ciowych w Warszawie. Proces ten poprzedziło przeprowadzenie w grudniu 2005 roku,
zakończonej sukcesem emisji obligacji zamiennych na akcje na kwotę 9 mln zł w ramach pre-IPO.

The desired workflow is for
1) Firefighter 1 to complete the top portion of the Agreement
section, sign in the Firefighter 1 signature field (which locks the top
portion of the Agreement Section), then select Firefighter 2 from the
e-mail drop down list and e-mail the PDF form to Firefighter 2;
2) Firefighter 2 opens the e-mail and the PDF attachment,
completes the second portion of the Agreement Section, sign in the
Firefighter 2 signature field (which locks the bottom portion of the
Agreement Section), select Lieutenant 1 from the e-mail drop down list
and e-mail the PDF form to Lieutenant 1;
3) Lieutenant 1 opens the e-mail and the PDF attachment, checks
the approved box, signs the Lieutenant 1 signature field, select
Lieutenant 2 from the e-mail drop down list and e-mail the PDF form to

Numbers vocabulary for this feature is a "Pop-up Menu". It's available as a Cell Format, and is set and edited in the Cell Format Inspector.
See "Using a Checkbox, Slider, Stepper, or Pop-Up Menu in Table Cells" starting on page 96 of the Numbers '09 User Guide.

Why can I no longer use an image for my signature on forms? The only option I have now is "use a certificate". It was never like this until today.

I had never heard of someone using the iPhone Number as the ID in the iMessages account in the Mac version.
i.e without adding an Apple ID
iMessages does allow iPhone numbers and mine lists mine.
I would try this.
Sign Out of the iMessages account and Quit Messages
On the iPhone in Settings > Messages remove the Apple ID
Set the iPhone to Airplane mode for a few minutes (to break with the Server)
On starting the phone up again check the iPhone Number is ticked for iMessages.
If it is add the Apple ID
On the Mac restart Messages
Add the Apple ID
At this point you should get a pop up or two saying the iPhone is using the Number and Apple ID.
Accept these and they get added to the Receive At list and Send From drop down.

Digital signatures for use in consenting research participants
Hi. I need some help implementing digital signatures into a consent document. I work as a research assistant at a university and in our line of research, we have participants from multiple regions of the country. One of the most important parts of staying in compliance with various regulations is that all research participants are presented with information about the study, and they must sign a document to indicate that they understand the risks/benefits involved.
We want to implement digital signatures to make this process easier for ourselves and the research participants who live across the country. However, there seem to be some technical hurdles in using signatures. First, we want to make sure that participants who only have Adobe Reader are also able to sign (my understanding is that they should be able to). Some participants may not be very computer savvy, so we need the process to be somewhat dummy-proof. Participants must fill in their printed name and date, so I need for them to have authority to change some information, but I don't want them to have the authority to change the document itself or the participant ID numbers which I have to fill in once I get the form back.
I have created a fillable form in Adobe LiveCycle and added 2 signature form fields, one for the participant, and one for myself. I plan on distributing the form so that I can have a dataset file for all of the returned consents.
Essentially the process should work like this:
I send a participant the form, they fill out the fields for their printed name, date, and provide their digital signature and use the submit by email button to return the form to me.
I receive the form, add their participant ID number, and provide my digital signature.
Save the file in our dataset file which is associated with the returned consent forms.
The thing I'm concerned about is their digital signature being invalidated once I insert the ID numbers and add my own digital signature.
Thanks for any help you could provide.We have a document that needs to be signed by more than one individual -- and in our process we are using the Topacz signature pad to get the signature. It's similar to the one you sign at the grocery store, drug store, etc. In order to NOT have the first signature invalidated, we were told to edit the registry...and it works perfectly!
