Signature in Pages

How do I add a "signature" to my pages documents? Basically, I have a few lines credentials I often need to add to documents below my name. Is there any way for me to add this information without having to type everything out each time?

You could also use a text clipping. Select the text you want & click, hold & drag the text to the Desktop or a folder where it will become a text clipping. When ever you need it, just drag the clipping into your document & there is the text. The clipping could be used in many different programs such as Mail or TextEdit as well. As a matter of fact, I use a text clipping to create my signature on posts.

Digital Signatures per page rather than per document

I am looking for some type of solution allowing for digital signatures for pdf files using a certificate authority.
These documents will have signatures on each page.
Am looking for a solution which would be able to validate on a page-by-page basis rather than the entire document.
For example, if we had 10 pages with one signature on each page, and page 7 was changed, would only expect that the signature on page 7 be validated when making changes and not forcing the signatures on all the other 9 pages to be resigned.
Is anyone aware of such a solution?

I have a similar problem. Firstly, I understand the "flawed" comment above but reality is flawed.
I have a number of documents in excess of 1000 pages which I am attempting to manage digitally. However, they need to be available for inspection by my regulator who still requires a paper format. I would like to be able to print, (or have my regulator print), the digitally signed document but still have something, even a small code or watermark, that would be printed on each page to tie the paper to the digital signature on the front of the document.
Is there such a feature?

That depends.
Are they asking you to put a copy of your actual signature on there or are they asking for a "digital signature"?

I have a document with a digital signature. This script executes when the signature is signed:

The new page also has a signature. This script executes when the signature is signed:
this.getField("Text1").display = display.visible
The problem I'm having is that the text field is not revealed?
I would be grateful if anyone could explain why this should not work
PS I need to keep the text field name as per the template (false, false)

How can you add a personal signature in Pages (such as in a contract)

I have created a "contract" using Pages and would like to include a personal signature at the bottom of the page. Is there any way to achieve this in lieu of "printing-signing-copying-emailing"?

Make a copy of your signature and save it as a jpeg, png or pdf. Paste or insert the image file into your document. Email the docuemnt as a PDF.

Cannot insert pages into PDFs after signed with a digital signature in adobe 9

Is there any workaround that allows me to insert additional pages into a SIGNED pdf?
Background:
Author of a form create a form that needs multiple signatures and pages appended and converts to PDF for signing. Person 1 signs it, and sends it to person 2. Person 2 needs to include additional documentation and inserts the pages before signing.
In the new version, I noticed that it changes the document security which may prevent the insert after you sign it. How do I disable this?

You may not like the answer, but it cannot be disabled. In previous versions, when you added a page it invalidated the signature. Starting with Acrobat 9, once the PDF file is signed you can no longer make changes that effect the content of the core PDF. The change was made to protect the integrity of the signature. You can still add comments, but (without getting too geeky) comments are not part of the core PDF like pages are, they live in a separate level. Also, you can still add form data, but like comments, what you type into a form field is not part of the core PDF.
The bottom line is, we made the change to protect the integrity of the signture, and the signature protects the integrity of the document. Thus, changes to the document are no longer allowed in signed files.

Managing signature page on a document with revision history

We are trying to migrate our drawing approval process from paper to digital using PDF's digital signatures. To release a version of a document, we need 3 sign-offs (creator, checker, approver). This was straightforward to implement using the digital signatures form field. All signatures reside on a signature appendix page that gets appended to the end of the PDF document we want to sign-off.
When we want to release the next revision of the document, we again need all 3 sign-offs, but we want to include the previous signature history. We understand that the earlier signatures will be invalid, but it is important for us to be able to print the signature appendix showing the full change history. We thought we'd be able to copy the signature page from the released PDF to the new revision, but when we copy this, the signature fields are blank.
Is it possible to achieve this functionality?

                as we cannot predict where the page will end.

'create a secondary window and in it create a text then print these text of signature in secondary window and call the secondary window when the data of main window ends.
Means you should create a secondary window just after your main window as shown below
and in this secondary window create a text for sign, and in the Condition Tab, please select "Only After End of Main Window."

Multiple Signatures in one PDF with Field Collection

I have found multiple post throughout adobe forums, and Acrobat Users forums but have yet to find an answer. Often links to the "answer" no longer exist so I'm requesting help here on another thread. I have a form I designed in Form designer, that is being used in Acrobat Pro 8. The first signature is tied/linked to pages 1-5, and lock that data once signed. Then a second signature is needed on page 6 to validate any additional documentation on that page. Signature field on page 6 is also tied to field collection of all fields on page 6. However once any changes are made to page 6, or once page 6 is signed then the signature on page 5 changes (has yellow triangle with exclamation mark.) While the Yellow Triange isn't saying the signature is invalid, it is saying that the document has been changed. However the part of the document associated with the signature on page 5 has not changed. Is there some way to avoid the error on the first signature. This is a serious problem, because I have another 20 pages and every other page or so need another signature. Please, any suggestions are appreciated.

i guess you could do something similar by having one form as a kind of title page/menu and having links to each of the other then just group them into a portfolio

My problem is that when it reorders the pages, it puts them all into one spread and errors once it reaches 10.
Some details on what I am doing -
It's an 18 page document, reorder is as follows:
1,2,4,18,17,5,6,16,15,7,8,14,13,9,3,10,11,12
Currently it's in spreads, but even when I turn off facing pages, move each page by itself and turn the master into one page, I still have the same error. I've been fighting with this a while, I've tried each of those by themselves as well.
In case you are curious about the order - this is a booklet, but the middle signature is 3 pages. I'm attempting to create a script that will take it from reader to printer spreads as "print booklet" will not work because of the 3 page signature (extra page is a fold out on finished product).
I'm fairly new to scripting and feel it must be something obvious I'm just missing.

No need to split the thread into two.
Now to your problem:
if all the pages end up in one spread it is no surprise that you get an error after page 10. The maximum page count of one single spread is 10.
Why do the pages go to one spread?
It's pure speculation, but I think it has to do with some preconditions your spreads are in.
Check for "Allow Document Pages to Shuffle" and "Allow Selected Spread to Shuffle".
Is "Allow Selected Spread to Shuffle" "off" or "on" for the particular spread where all pages are added?
And another question:
what is the particular script you refer to? There are a couple of scripts in this thread from various authors.

this is my first post in the forum and i hope someone can help me.
I'm developing a tool in Objective-C which produce pdf digital signature in the PADES format. The signature is added as as revision, redefining/creating the opportune objects (Acroform, annot, SigField etc.).
The original file is (One_Sign.pdf) signed using Acrobat standard 9.0
The output file is (Two_Sign.pdf) signed using my tool
The signature seems ok but Adobe reader invalidate the first signature telling that de document has modification between the signature (1 Page(s) Deleted 1 Page(s) Added)... obiusly i didn't any modification
Can some one help me to understand this error?
Maybe the original file is usig Cross-references stream instead of classic xref table while in the revision i use classic xref table?

thanks for the reply, i'm implementing PADES part 3 and 4 in objective C.
As you suggest, to solve the problem the first step is to write the code for the cross-reference stream in the updates and not use the xref table.
Concerning the pages, i had to redefine (17 0) and (21 0) in order to add the annotation. For other PDF documents that was not a problem. Why it is a problem with this file?

Adding custom signature to Mail

I know this has GOT to be easy, but I am totally stumped. I have several email accounts, and have signatures setup for each in preferences for each. My problem is that I just cannot figure out how to have my signature use any other font beside the default font. It is driving my nuts. I've even tried creating it how I want in Pages, and copying/dragging it into the signature, and it keeps changing the font to the default helvetica.
Any ideas?

In the Signature preferences be sure you have not checked the box to "Match the font ...." Also, be sure you have configured Mail to use Rich Tesxt rather than plain text. This is done in Mail's Composing preferences.
If you still have problems here are two possible solutions. One is to create your custom signature in an HTML editor. A simple editor that would work is Level4 - VersionTracker or MacUpdate. Then paste the resulting HTML code for your signature into the Signature preferences in Mail. The other would be to create your signature in Pages, for example, and output a PDF file. You can then insert the PDF file as your signature.

Just FYI regarding Scribbles:
Scribbles makes it really easy to get a quick sketch or signature into Pages. Just draw something in Scribbles, then hit Command+C, which will copy a bitmap of your drawing to the clipboard (CommandOptionC will copy a higher-resolution bitmap).
Then, just switch to Pages and Command+V (Paste).
You can even use the unregistered version of Scribbles for this, as the unregistered version only puts a watermark at the bottom of the image, and is super easy to crop out in Pages.

Signature 1300 TCP Segment Override,

Hi again, i want to question about this signature because we has seen many alerts related with this signature on our internal network.
When i review the information about this signature in the local signature information page, i dont find nothing that say me about this.
The number of daily alerts from signature 1300 is about 30000, the sources are internal computer against internal server on our switched network.
Can someone help me to find a solution to mitigate this problem.

I would suggest you to investigate on why you are seeing this alarm. Are you running any of the custom developed applications on the network? Sometimes this could mean someone trying to bypass your IPS.
If you are convinced that the alarm is false, you can disable the alarm on the IPS.
