I was wondering if soon we could have an update where we have a signature in our SMS messages.

There are very few Nokias with that feature, I'm not sure about other manufacturers... Maybe it's something that will take off... I can't see it being too popular though to be honest... but that's just my opinion... It's not something everyone would have to use, so it's all cool

Sorry you don't, you can only put signature for emails.
Maybe a 3rd party message app you can, but not for the built in message app.

The iPhone does not provide a setting to add a signature to SMS messages. The link the poster above provided only sets a signature for email accounts. Right now it is the same signature for all accounts, however it has been shown that iOS6 will allow for separate signatures for different accounts.

Try going to Menu> Messaging> Text Messages> Create Message> Options> Sending Options. Mark the Signature options and create signature to send with the text message.

No Signature or Forward in SMS

Why is there no signature option in the SMS app. Everyone else sends me text messages with their signatures in them and I want to do the same. Also there is no forwarding capabilities in the SMS. I hope Apple creates an update for these problems.

9300 SMS Signature - Make it go away

I just bought a new Curve 9300 - love it to pieces. Except that apparently when I send a SMS there is a signature. I find that a little concerning because I never set my SMS to have a signature.
I've checked my menus and a few of my friends took a look but could not find a solution.
Any help on the boards?

HI,
In the menu find browser hit the trackball it will load up to my roger's site.
click on the my account banner near the top of the page.stroll down to manage my services under there it will have extreme texting click on it.
there are 7 options that you can edit/add
1-forward
2-auto reply
3-distribution list
4-copy
5-personal signature
6-text blocker
7-learn more
click on the option you want and change or delete features.

Sms signatures for the next iphone

when will apple be able to have the iphone come standard with sms signatures rather than email signatures. i really like using the signature in my old phones like my samsung blackjack 2. i was disapointed and shocked that the iphone didnt come with a sms signature feature instead they have a email signature feature which in my opinion nobody really uses email more than text messaging.

Free app that let's us use our own number still but it can have features like signatures. And that kind of. Problem with a SMS-signature, or a message got stuck

Have an iPhone 4s running iOS 6.0.1
It seems like a textmessage got stuck like an signature in the message program. Every time i open up a new message an old, previous message shows already prewritten i the text-field. It also appear when I try to forward a message. Together with the text I am trying to forward the "signature-text" appears. And I don't know how to get rid of it.
I know that this is not supposed to happend and you can only do this in e-mail. But it has happend and I need som assistance to how to get rid of the text.
And no, the phone has no Jailbreak, no third party app doing this and the serviceprovider has no such funktion.
So please help me.

No. However, you can go to Settings>General>Keyboard and set up a keyboard shortcut for whatever it is you want to use as a signature. Then, at least, you'd have less to type.

No, not a signature, so to speak which automatically inserts itself.
HOWEVER, you can create your signature in AutoText (Options > AutoText) and then insert it manually when you like.
For instance, typing "zx"(without the parentheses) could create the AutoText of "--John Doe, cell 123-456-7890"

How can I set a signature on my text messages?

I have iphone4, recently changed my phone number. Prior to the change all of my outgoing sms showed my name and phone number. Since I changed the number have not been able to show the new number on outgoing texts. So I don't understand why my number showed before but unable to add it now.....?
I lost a lot of data when I changed the number so I performed a back-up restore, which restored the data I lost. But now my text messages are showing my old phone number.....!!
Any idea how I can change so the new number is displayed?
I use texting a lot more than I do email with my phone.

Using the AutoText Feature: An easy way to generate Digital Signatures

One feature I find particularly useful is "AutoText".
Using this, you can assign a keystroke combination to effectively generate a word, phrase or sentence while typing messages on your blackberry.
This is a great tool, particularly for multiple digital signatures across several email addresses, text messages and also to use with apps like Facebook and Twitter.
To access the "AutoText" feature, begin a new email or text message, hit the "Menu" button and select "Edit AutoText".
A list of all the stored abbreviations is displayed.
Simply begin typing the set of keystrokes you want to associate with your digital signature (or any other word/ phrase/ sentence etc.) and you will see the current abbreviations associated with those keys.
Type in a unique set of keys you want to associate with a series of words and hit the "return" or "enter" key.
A new screen with the following display will appear:
"Replace:
With:
Using: SmartCase
Language: All Locales"
In the "Replace:" section, key in your own abbreviation and the associated word or words in the "With:" area.
Pick the options from the "Using:" and "Language:" drop down menus and you're done!!
Hit the "Back" key and select "Save" from the dialog box which appears.
Now, use the keystroke you just created while typing messages and see how much easier this wonderful feature makes your life!!
