Signature issue

I have some issues with digital signatures in Interactive Forms (NW2004, SPS 14).
It is not possible to sign a Interactive Form via signature field. When I try to sign a form a dialogbox with the following message opens:
The document could not be signed.
There was an error when attempting to commit this signature.
The document was not saved.
A file error has occurred.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Sebastian

  • How do I get Apple to pay attention to IOS Mail Signature Issues?!!!!!

    IOS Signature.....
OK, so I know this has been answered a number of times before and I have posted this at the request of senior advisors at Apple Customer Service who are also fed up with people complaining about the lack of basic functionality with IOS Signatures.
So the issue for me is that, with IOS8 Apple introduced continuity. I can sit on my MacBook Air in the lounge, my phone on charge in another room, and genius, I can take a phone call right from my Mac. Perhaps the cynic in me thinks this was designed for the American market and those too bone idol to get of their fat A***'s and answer their phone (Hey every calorie counts after all). But what I continue to fail to get is why I can have a beautiful, Professional signature on my MacBook Air. I have a JPEG of my signature, my details, Facebook and linked in Logo's. It looks very good and often people ask me how I did that!!! But when I am out and i want to send an e-mail from my iPad Mini w Retina or iPhone 5s. Apple think that I don't need that professional signature and that basic text will do! Apple, it won't, its a basic function and you need to do something about it!!!
This has been a common complaint and oversight from Apple since the original iPhone.
I have to wait to get home to send a business e-mail from my Mac using the signature. I can cut an paste the signature from an e-mail, it works for 1 or 2 e-mails and then reverts to replacing the images with little grey boxes. I have tried all the workarounds, spend hours, probably days trying to do this and the same result overtime. Clearly Mail can send jpeg, gif, bmp etc.... just not as a signature through the settings menu. This must be a simple fix!!!
I have come to the conclusion that:
1/. Tim Cook and the executives at Apple do not use iPads for business use, or this would have irritated them and it would have been resolved. Surely while they are jetting around the world promoting the generally useless Apple Watch they would have noticed this problem?!
2/. Or Tim Cook and his gang do not use iPads!!!!!!
So Apple, please, Please, PLEASE fix some of these basics... PDF management in IOS, iCloud management on IOS and let us have more than simple text signatures in Mail in IOS. Its a basic, necessary business function!!!!!!!
These little things have stopped me upgrading the iPad and iPhone and like others I know who were Apple loyalists and promoted the virtues of Apple products, we now consider other options, with basic functionality. Stop chasing the next major release and give us the basic functionality.
Please if you know a way of doing this that works time and time again that doesn't mean opening an old e-mail and pasting every time I send an e-mail, let me know...

  • I can't update iTunes software due to "Invalid Signature" issue

Everytime I try to update my iTunes software it says it has an "Invalid Signature" and won't be installed. For the latest big update I had to totally remove it and reinstall it from scratch.  Now I still can't update it and of course I keep getting messages telling me to update to the latest version. I am using Windows XP and have AVG Internet Security 2012 full version.  Can anyone help me with this. It may be a "settings" issue but I'm not sure which settings, ie. Windows, AVG or iTunes.  AVG have said its not their issue.
    Please help

Can you repair Apple Software Update?
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If don't find Apple Software Update in all programs, you can do it in control panel, add and remove programs.

  • Mail Signature Issues (multiple)

Cumulatively I have spend 20-30 hours trying to make a signature and continue to have issues (never see this experience in APPLE holiday commercials!). I have researched this Board and there are a few cross-overs, but I am including them all here to be complete. I am hoping someone at APPLE adds these to their list and addresses the many issues in creating a signature. As a small business owner, I do not have time or money to invest in a simple e-mail signature and should not be spending this much time on something so simple.
    1) Icons w/hyperlinks launch safari when viewing the email on IPAD/IPHONE, but do not launch when viewed on MAC
In my signature I have a row of social media icons with hyperlinks. If I send an email to a iPad or iPhone, the recipient can tap the icons and the sites open just fine. However, if I send an email to someone on a MAC, clicking those icons only opens up image viewer (showing the icons). I can tell they have hyperlinks by mousing over them, can even copy and paste into safari and open the sites. But for some reason viewing them on a Mac does not open the sites. Any thoughts?
    2) Cannot Control Hyperlink Placement Well
As stated, toward the bottom of my signature I have a row of 6 social media icons, each with hyperlinks. I successfully inserted the icons, edited the hyperlinks, etc. Just below this row of icons, I have additional signature text (my address, a paragraph of privacy/legal language). Upon hyperlinking the last social media icon in the row, ALL text below it (my address, legal language, etc.) assumes the same hyperlink of the last icon in that row. As much as I am careful to only highlight the icon when applying the URL, I cannot limit the hyperlink to only apply to this last icon, it is as if it applies to that icon and everything down the signature. I have tried reserving a few lines of spaces between that icon and the text before applying the hyperlink, etc. It has not worked.  Extremely frustrating - this one has cost me 8 hours at least.
    3) Icon Images Not Displaying (Not Locally Stored or Imbedded?)
I created the signature on my MAC, and when I send an email the icons display on the recipient devices (but as stated in #1, only an ipad/iphone can tap and actually activate the hyperlinks). I wanted to have the same signature on my IPAD and IPHONE. So I copy and pasted the signature from an email (sent from my MAC) into the signature section of my IPAD and IPHONE. Sending a message from either device then does not display the graphics/images. This is very frustrating. I have read that images must be on the local device (or something like that) in order to display. Can someone please help me replicate the signature I have on my MAC for my phone and iPad? Do I have to hire someone to do an HTML version?
I sincerely hope APPLE improves signatures. This experience is honestly making me regret converting over to APPLE as I bet Outlook & Windows devices would not have these issues.
Thank you anyone who can help.

  • Signature issue in Adobe Reader XI (Unable to sign)

I have Adobe Reader XI installed both on my work laptop and my home PC.
I have the same PDF document on both my home computer and work laptop. (and yes, I have sent a new copy of the working document to my work computer to ensure it hasn't been modified or changed). It is the exact same document.
I open it at home and I have the ability to sign the PDF document and then use the save as option to save a copy of the signed document, and I have done so to submit it on weekly basis. (A time sheet).
I was able to do so at work maybe 2 or 3 times and then one time when opening Reader, a popup appeared for an update for Adobe Reader in my notification area and I installed the update from adobe.com. Ever since I installed that update, now when I open the same document at work, both the Place Initials and Place Signature options are both grayed out and I have not been able to figure out why. I have gone through all the preferences and settings and I can't find anything that would account for them being disabled.
I have not installed the update on my home system for fear of the same issue occurring. (I need to be able to submit that time sheet) and I would like to regain this ability on my work laptop. Can anyone provide any ideas on why I would suddenly lose the ability to sign a PDF document that shows under the document properties as available to be signed. (ie: Signing: Allowed).
I have tried uninstalled and re-installing Adobe Reader on the laptop. Same issue.
    Any help or suggestions appreciated.

This is definitely a set up issue and User might have unintentionally assigned the port belonging to someother printer to this printer on his machine.
This is a setup issue and completely unrelated to Adobe reader. You may infact verify from some other non-Adobe Applications.

  • Signature Issues

When I reply to an e-mail, the signature is always at the very bottom of the e-mail so after a couple replies, the end of the e-mail has multiple signatures and the actual body of the e-mail has none. Any idea on how to get the signature to be at the bottom of each reply?

  • Mail Signature issues

I'm having the exact issue described in this article:
    http://theappleblog.com/2005/12/18/mail-signatures-suck/
I've tried all the solutions suggested in the comments (including http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1485526&#1485526 ) but none have helped.
As a general note, on my Dual 2Ghz G5, Mail is by far the buggiest app of the OS X suite. It often beachballs when I try to quit, necessitating a Force Quit. It also tends to lose my GMail SMTP account configs randomly.
I should probably also mention that I’m far from a “casual” Mail user; I have a half a dozen accounts of different types, IMAP server-side folders with thousands of messages and probably three dozen different rules. I also run it 24/7. So there's a lot going on that could be causing the problem. At the same time, I'm kind of hesitant to do a full reinstall or something and go through all that setup again.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Your signature at the bottom of your post indicates that you are still at OS X 10.5.2. Is that correct?

  • Default signature issues with Mac Mail

All my emails persist with a default signature even when I change email addresses with single associated signatures. It merely keeps the first signature and tacks on the selected signature. I have removed all signatures and started again, assigning signatures to each email addie, but still the most used signature always appears. If I try to select none from the drop down menu and nothing happens at all. Any ideas?

    Hello kgoody,
I have not been able to use my mac mail for 2 months now because of the server issue. "Try later" or "Try with selected server " were at the beginning of this nightmare. Since then I have not received a single email in the inbox. I downloaded an article "How to use Gmail with Apple's Mail" by Stephen Korecky and tried to fix the problem. It did not work because the Apple Mail windows did not show what they were supposed to. I called my software wizard and he said he will have to come and fix it. He did not show up yet. It is very frustrating.

  • Outlook 2013 signature issue

    Hello,
I'd be very grateful if someone could help with the following query that I received from a colleague. This issue was raised after I asked all members of staff, to standardise their email signatures.
"I followed your script for this: my image comes out bigger than yours?"
    My instructions (the script) was:
Copy the attached .jpg image to your desktop
Select ‘FILE’ from the main navigation
Select ‘Options’ from the drop-down menu
Select the options for ‘Mail’ in the left hand column
Select ‘Signatures’ from the right hand column
If you’ve not already set up a signature, select “New”, give the signature a name and select “OK”
Having selected the name of the signature you want to edit, insert or update the text and image in the space provided.
Format the text, along the lines of my signature block below, adding or removing any elements (fax no, direct line, DX address etc.) according to your individual preferences
Set the defaults relating to when you’d like the signature to be used.
Any guidance about why the image is coming out larger when sent from a different email account/PC would be very welcome.
    Many thanks,
    Richard

    Hi,
There is a setting in Outlook 2013 that may reduce the size of images, if you have ticked this option, the email that you send may display the image smaller than the one other people send.
In Outlook 2013, click FILE -> Options -> Mail -> Message format -> Reduce message size by removing format information not necessary to display the message. Uncheck this option and click OK.
Now send the email again to check the result.

  • Opening PDF's in Illustrator - Digital signature Issue

Having an Issue with Digital signatures...
Currently we are opening up PDF's into Illustrator and changing some art,  the Digital signature is not showing but its appearing again when the file is made back into a PDF.
Would like the Digital Signature removed but can't do it from Illustrator as its not appearing.
Its not my signature so I can't remove it the normal way by just clearing it from Acrobat???
    Any suggestions anyone???

You could open the pdf, in a text editor and remove the code for the signature. Problem with that is the code is hard to find what to delete, as it is not in postscript section, but all scrambled letters(hexadecimal or something like that).
Open the pdf in illustrator, copy all , and paste into a new document, and your signature will be gone.

  • SAML - signature issue

    Hi,<br/>
    <br/>
Im trying to get a scenario going doing 3rd part --> PI 7.11 SPS 04 --> SAP ECC 6.0
    <br/>
    1) The sender (3rd part) sends a sync request containing a SAML assertion in the header. This message is signed using a X.509 certificate.
    <br/>
    2) PI is to receive the request using WS adapter and pretty much just pass the request along to receiver using WS receiver adapter (also using SAML).
    <br/>
    3) The receiver (R3) receives request and returns a response.
    <br/><br/>
The following lists the prereq done:<br/>
    1) SAP crypto lib is installed on both PI and R3 system.<br/>
    2) All PSE's are created on both PI and R3 system in STRUST<br/>
    3) Report WSS_SETUP has been executed in both PI and R3 system<br/>
    4) Trust:<br/>
4.1) On PI system the PSE cert has been exported from STRUST and imported into the STRUSTSSO2 PSE on the R3 system (this includes adding it to ACL and certificate list)<br/>
4.2) On R3 system the PSE cert has been exported from STRUST and imported into STRUSTSSO2 PSE  on the PI system (this includes adding it to ACL and certificate list)<br/>
4.3) The public X.509 key certificate of 3rd party has been imported into STRUSTSSO2 on PI system in the stores 'WS Security keys', 'WS Security standard' and added to certificate list.<br/>
    5) Principal propagation has been enabled on both PI and R3 integration engines.<br/>
    6) No user mapping is setup since the authenticationAssertion will contain a native SAP user.<br/>
    7) Report WSS_INFO has been executed on both PI and R3 system.<br/>
    <br/><br/>
    8) SSL is not currently enabled - so far testing is performed stricly using HTTP
    <br/><br/><br/>
    The actual issue at hand:<br/>
When 3rd party calls PI the following error is given:<br/>
    <br/><br/>
    CL_SOAP_MESSAGE                         IF_SOAP_MESSAGE_PART~DESERIALIZE_BODY                    SOAP Message               CX_WS_SECURITY_FAULT : Invalid XML signature | program: CL_ST_CRYPTO==================CP include: CL_ST_CRYPTO==================CM00G line: 48 .
    <br/><br/><br/>
    CL_SOAP_RUNTIME_SERVER     EXECUTE_PROCESSING                                                                 SOAP Runtime               CX_WS_SECURITY_FAULT : Invalid XML signature | program: CL_ST_CRYPTO==================CP include: CL_ST_CRYPTO==================CM00G line: 48
    <br/><br/><br/>
CL_SOAP_RUNTIME_SERVER     EXECUTE_PROCESSING                                                                 SOAP Runtime               A SOAP Runtime Core Exception occurred in method CL_ST_CRYPTO==================CM00G of class CL_ST_CRYPTO==================CP at position id 48 with internal error id 1001 and error text CX_WS_SECURITY_FAULT:Invalid XML signature (fault location is 1 )
    <br/><br/><br/>
CL_SOAP_RUNTIME_ERROR          map_core_exception_to_fault                                             SOAP Runtime               Invalid XML signature
    <br/><br/><br/>
The message processing thus fails due to a certificate issue when initially receiver by PI.
The question is why do I get this error? I'm well aware of the following post Web Service Security with SAML - Invalid XML signature which does not have any impact in my case.
    <br/><br/><br/>
    Thanks in advance,<br/>

Some changes have now been made on the client side calling PI. The error now is:

    CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL : Dereferencing the NULL reference | program: CL_ST_SAML10==================CP include: CL_ST_SAML10==================CM004 line: 47
Question is what that means - if its progression or regression.
    Any ideas?

  • IOS 7 Email Signature Issues

I have been experiencing issues with showing email signatures with images on my iOS 7 and 7.1 decices. I post this topic on the iPad section because the same issue is showing up on both my iPhone 5S and my iPad Mini 2. Since my iPad is less than 24 hours old I figure this is an issue with iOS 7 since both devices are showing the same error.
I have a work email signature which has some text and 8 images. I am trying to simply use the same signature that I use for my works webmail and Outlook. So according to my research I found that it is possible to add an HTML email signature on my iPhone and iPad which are both on iOS 7.1 currently but the same issue was with 7 up to now. So I read that for email signatures that have more than just text(images and HTML) you simply email that signature to your self and copy the email signature and then paste in with that specific emails signature section under Settings - Mail - Signature and then that specific email.
When I did this the signature was able to paste just fine and display as I wanted it and even correctly used HTML image and text links that I have in it.
I was then able to reply to work emails as well as compose them with the email signature working just fine. But when I either tried to compose or reply to a work email abut the 3rd or 4th time I would see the email signature text and text html links working but each image turned into a white box. I first closed out of the settings apps to see if it was a glitch and found out that this change happens for some reason. So I then have to repete my copy and past process to get the signature back to the way I had it again.
The same thing happens ever time after about 3 tries to see if the email signature is working or not.
So my question is how can I use my html email signature on my iPhone and iPad with iOS 7.1 so the images do not turn into white boxes and stay exactly like I paste them in the email signature field?
This gets very old copy and pasting that soon each time. Does anyone have a solution that would allow me to set up the email signature how I want by a copy and paste and when I send an email with the default mail app on iOS 7.1 the email signature stays as it should?
Here is a screenshot of my email signature before and after so you can see what I am talking about (I did blur personal data to protect me)

I tried the exact same steps as the original post which lead me down the path to search for a fix.
I wanted to have a separate signature for work and one for personal use.  Each signature would display correctly in the signature setup.  I found two interesting actions in troubelshooting:
If I created the signature in Settings while the mail app was open, I could create a new email with an image displayed correctly.
If I did the above, closed the mail app and reopened it; created a new email, the image would not display.
If I created the signature while the mail app was closed; and then opened and created a new email; the image would not display.
I initially created the signature in another program and emailed it to myself so that I could copy/paste the signature into the Settings field.  After step one above; I found that I 'could' get the image to display if:
I went back to the original message I sent to myself; opened the message; created a new email from that screen (not forward or reply)
I could get the image to display also if I was in the folder of the email that contained the image in the signature.
Interesting that the mail app does not appear to be referrencing the image from the Signature settings although it does for the text and hyperlink.  The mail app appears to be referencing the image locally from within the mail app cache?  I'm not a developer, however, there is something within the program that the new message is able to reference from within to pull the image.

  • Multiple signature issues

    Designer 7.1
    Acrobat 7.0.8
    Acrobat Reader 7.08
If we open a PDF in Acrobat and add 5 signature elements and reader extend the document, we can open and successfully sign all of the signatures in Acrobat Reader.
However, if we open the PDF pre-reader extended in Designer and then save and export as a PDF and then reader extend, we can only sign 2 of the 5 signatures succesfully. We can sign all, but when we re-open the document, the signatures are invalid.
What happens when we sign the first signature is we get "Document revision 1 of 1". When we sign the 2nd signature, the first signature becomes "Document revision 1 of 3" and the second signature is "Document revision 2 of 3". If we continue signing, the document will become invalid.
However, if we close the document after the second signature and reopen it, the revision numbers are set to "1 of 2" and "2 of 2". From that point, we can finish signing the rest of the document without issue.
We have also tried other documents with up to 15 signatures and have the same issues.
    Anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks,
