Signature on Originals

Hi Friends,
I want to apply perticular person signature on original after approval. Workstation application for originals are in PDF / TIFF.
We have certain documents created in DMS. We have statuses of create & approved. After approved perticular person sign is to encripted on the original. Can we do this thru redilining function, "Import Image" function. If it is OK, can I write a program / BAPI when ever the document is released, the signature on the original is printed.

Hi Sai,
Yes thru redlining you can imoprt the signature. but you need to put the signature while changing status. It will not be automatically stamped thru program.

We are implementing digital signature for originals in DIR using secure,store and foward approach. The installation is pretty much ok,. However, we are getting SSF_API_NO_SECTK error. What could be the possible reason? We are using SAPSECULIB as the security provider,

The error indicates that the security product is not installed correctly. Make sure that SSF_LIBRARY_PATH (or ssf/ssfapi_lib ) is set correctly.Set the trace level to 1 and check the contents of the trace file dev_ssf.

Preview inserts signature but will not let me drag it or resize it

I am running the latest version o Mac Preview on an iMac running Yosemite 10.10.2
In some PDF's the signature insert works fine. In others, randomly occurring, I can insert a signature but it only goes to the middle of the page. I cannot resize the signature or drag it to my desired location after I insert it. I have opened and closed preview many times and also tried duplicating the PDF and opening it again with the same problems.
Today, a PDF created from a web document allowed me to drag and re-size, but a PDF created from a Pages document did not. I really need a solution to this as printing duplicates of signed documents saves me a lot of time, so thanks in advance.

I could see the images in Aperture.
Susan, what do you see in Aperture's Viewer? Does the image look o.k.? Then you have at least good quality previews, that you could save.
Create a new folder on your Desktop, select all recently imported images in the browser, and drag the images from Aperture's Browser window to that folder on your Desktop. That will save the Preview images as jpegs.
You will not be able to restore the originals from the card, if it already has been formatted, unless you have set Aperture to backup directly on import.
If you ctrl-click your Aperture library and select "Show Library Contents", then open the "Masters" folder - do you see any image files in the most recently added folder for "2013 > February > 4 (the day you imported)"?

Can I reimport originals after data files are deleted?

While selecting photos to burn to a cd I copied folders from the 'Data' folder in iPhoto library. I then moved several individual files, which I did not require for the burn, from the cd to trash - before I had burned. I did not realise that this would delete the data files from the iPhoto library itself. I emptied trash before checking back with iPhoto and now, of course, those images disappear from my library whenever I open iPhoto. However, I still have the photos saved in two locations as 'Originals', but when I try to import them back into iPhoto a message appears to tell me they are unreadable. The 'Originals' files are not corrupted, but how do I reimport them into iPhoto so that they reappear in my Library Data folder in their old locations?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You do know that the Data folder only contains thumbnail sized files that iPhoto uses within the library, right?
If you can see the blank thumbnail boxes in the library and can click on them to bring up the full sized image you have a good chance at recovering the library by rebuilding as follows: launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library. Select the first three options.
If that doesn't resurrect the library then you'll have to start with a new library and import the Originals folder from the old library. Here's how:
Creating a new library while preserving the rolls from the original.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same rolls as the original library. However dates on the rolls may be different but can be edited as you would the roll title.
Once this is completed you can delete the iPhoto library folder from the desktop. If desired, you can keep the older library folder to try other fixes on it.
In the future I recommend you make a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto file after each import and after doing a lot of editing and organizing in the library. Then if you experience a similar crash all you need to do is replace the damaged database file with the backup copy and you'll be back to the same place in the library as when you make the backup. See the tip at the end of my signature.
In the future, Don't mess with files in the iPhoto Library folder from the Finder. See TD's treatis on file access for how to access photos for use outside of iPhoto.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Delete originals in Image Processor dialog

There is numerous reason for this feature: maybe somebody have images stored at external drive and don't need more original copies stored to computer, or forget to add logo or signature to processed pictures, so when need to process only once without keeping originals or second time because you forget something it will be nice to have option to delete source images if you don't need it.

Welcome. I have a signature on a piece of paper which has been done with blue pen. It has been scanned at resolution of 600x600 dpi. I want my signature to look like the original one after printing. Is it possible? There is a plenty of tutorials how to do that with normal black pen or how to do transparency etc. I need signature which looks like originals blue pen. Thank You. "ICC" stands for "International Color Consortium," an open, vendor-neutral color management system which functions transparently across all operating systems and software packages. Basically, this means that when you create an image in Photoshop with an ICC profile in it, and you print that image using the ICC profile supplied with your printer (usually with a specific paper stock) then you get the color you expect. This of course, assumes that your monitor is also calibrated and has its own ICC profile, so you're reasonably confident that what you see on screen is accurately depicting the color image as well.
If you're using Photoshop in a design or creative suite, then fire up Bridge, and set Edit>Color Settings for all your Adobe applications. If you only have Photoshop and not a design or creative suite, then in Photoshop go to Edit>Color Settings. This might send you to the manual, or to reading up on color management for more understanding. But if you want your prints to look like the original, this is the road you should probably travel.
BTW, not all printer drivers use ICC profiles. I don't have any experience with the Brother J315, but I'm sure you can find out whether it does by reading the documentation. Good luck!

Update:
I tried what the diagnostic told me to do, and repaired the installation. I was able to burn a CD in iTunes, but after I restarted, the drives have disappeared again! Here's the diagnostic info now:

One person on one computer adding multiple electronic IDs or signatures to one document

I recently created a simple form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8. It has several places for signatures. I sent along with the form the Adobe user guide instructions for creating electronic IDs and signatures. However, in several instances, our executives have given their administrative assistants permission to sign for them. The assistants are also required to add their own signatures. Apparently, when they click on any signature field, their bosses' signatures come up. Can someone tell me how one person can create multiple electronic signatures and be able to select from among them in order to fill out one of these forms?

When a user is signing a form, the digital certificates that are installed (in Acrobat) on the computer being used to sign the PDF will be available to be used to create the signature. If only the "bosses" certificate is on the machine, this will be the only on available. Make sure all certificate that could be used to sign are installed on the machine being used to sign.
This screen shot is from the security settings in Acrobat, it shows multiple certifcates are installed.
And here is the signature dialog with the option to use one of the installed certificates on the machine...

How can I properly attach an Email 'business card' signature?

Hi,
I was wondering if there were any better ways to attach a business card signature with mail.
Currently I have a small business card that I have optimized to around 60 kb, I use the signature feature in Mail to drag it in and add my standard business disclaimer stuff underneath.
Thing is if I send it to another MacMail account it displays fine but if I send it to Gmail or Yahoo it appears as a seperate attachment that needs to be downloaded etc.
Is there anyway round this? A way for it to just appear under the text of my email for any Email host or software without it appearing as an attachment. Outlook seems to allow the function and I'm allways receiving full page HTML graphical advertisments in my inbox, simular to the ones when you get a receipt etc, should I use the same principals?
I'd also like to know if I can make it link to my website using some code from Image Shack or similar online host.

• Part 3: PAdES Enhanced – PAdES-Basic Electronic Signatures and PAdES-Explicit Policy Electronic Signatures Profiles
• Part 4: PAdES Long Term – PAdES-Long Term Validation Profile
• Part 5: PAdES for XML Content – Profiles for XAdES signatures of XML content in PDF files

Hi,
The short answer is yes.
Acrobat 8 and later support all of requirements of PAdES such as serial signing, long term validation (time stamping and embedded revocation responses) and signatures in the PKCS#7 format.

Update on 10.6.8 fails due to digital signature on update is missing

wanting to install the Parallels version 10 and it won't work on 10.6.8 version of my Mac OS so I learned how to go to the software update which indicates an update is available. When I go ahead and load the update it runs fine and then stops with a message that the Macbook Pro EFI Firmware Update can't be saved. It says the digital signature on the update is missing or invalid.
I don't know if the digital signature is on my computer or the update? I would upgrade to a more recent version of the OS but don't know what will work.
Can anyone help?

Parallels 10 isn't compatible with 10.6 according to the web site.

Do a backup before installing.
