Signature panel in portfolios?

Is there a signature panel in portfolios, so I can see all unsigned digital signature fields from all documents in the portfolio? The signature panel is a feature in Adobe Acrobat Pro and it's helpful to ensure (at a glance) that all requires signatures have been obtained.

The Tools/Sign/Comment Panels don't exist for a Portfolio - you have to open the individual file in a new window to see the normal user interface.

  • Signature panel vanished

    Hi
I was using Adobe Reader to put signatures on PDF documents using Windows 7 Professional on PC since last 1 month. However, since yesterday this feature is not availalble. The Reader says that signature panels are availalble, but i cannot see any options related to signature. Is this a "purchase" feature, as i have not purchased the reader.

  • The graphic HTML signature panel does not appear in my Mac mail

The graphic HTML signature panel does not appear in my Mac mail. I have inserted the signature after reading on the forum. But the images do not download - the rest of the text in the signature is in place - just the logo and the baseline which is a graphic file does not download.  Please help.

Hi, are the pics at a remote location, or on your Mac?
Have you tried drag & dropping the graphics on the signature window?

  • Why can't I add text in the signature panel in firefox?

why can't I add text in the signature panel in firefox?  I have adobe acrobat pro XI.  I can open a pdf in acrobat pro and am able to add text to a pdf, but when I open a pdf in firefox, the "add text" option is not available.

When you install Acrobat XI you are also installing Reader for use in the browser. Reader is "sandboxed", or as it says in the Preferences, it is in "Protected Mode". Acrobat does not understand the concept of running in sandboxed memory (sandbox is a security feature to prevent the bad guy from exploiting a memory error and getting into a memory address where they can do damage to your computer) so to help protect Acrobat users the same way Reader users are protected we just install Reader along with Acrobat, but it is only used in the browser (part of this is because the bad guys use web sites as their primary method of distributing corrupted PDF files that can cause problems).
That said, because you are in Reader the file needs to be Reader Enabled prior to being posted to the web site (or opened in the browser). Once the file is Reader Enabled you should be able to add the text annotations.

  • Miscellaneous Change(s) warning on Signatures panel when document signed twice

    Hello,
I used Acrobat XI (the latest evaluation version) to create a document with two certificate-based signatures. For some reason, when viewing the document in Acrobat XI or Reader X, the following warning is displayed between the signatures on the Signatures panel:
    1 Miscellaneous Change(s)
Left-clicking or right-clicking on the warning does nothing, and no further details about the changes are provided on signature properties dialogs either.
Could you let me know how can I overcome reporting this warning please? I didn't alter the document between signings, so I am fairly sure that no changes were introduced to it. I am attaching a screen capture of what I'm concerned about. Just let me know if you need the document itself, and I'll be happy to send it over.
Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend,

    Hello JP,
Thank you for the clarification and a suggestion how to overcome the issue. Still there is a question as to why signing an empty field is not counted as a change, while adding a brand new signature (without altering the document in any other way) is.
I am worrying that our users will be frightened by the 'miscellaneous change' message (at least until they have a clear explanation that the 'change' is only related to the signature), so we will probably end up employing the empty fields-based solution... which also has certain lacks. In general case we don't know the number of signers beforehand, so we will have to create a dedicated page with 6-8 empty fields to cover for the maximal number of signers. Next, as far as I understand, the document can be signed by anyone if it contains unsigned fields, - in other words, say, the 3rd signer can't prevent the document with 8 unsigned fields from being signed for 5 more times in future (as he would normally do by 'locking the document after signing'), can he?
    Thanks and best regards,

  • Signature panel 'hangs' when viewing a signed document

Hello and Merry Christmas to everyone,
I am facing a problem when viewing a document ( https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1wk9toh5e7AekxUcGM0RVc4Z2c/edit?usp=sharing ) with Adobe Reader. The signature panel appears to be frozen (not initialized), and it is not possible to access any signature details at all.
Note that the document contains two invisible signatures. Whenever I remove the second signature manually by truncating the document, the signature panel is shown as expected.
My environment: Windows 8.1 x64, Adobe Reader 11.0.5. Interestingly enough, the document and the signatures are shown correctly by Adobe Reader 9. I am attaching a screen shot of what I am seeing with Adobe Reader 11 below.
It would be great if someone lets me know why this is happening and whether Adobe are going to fix this.
    Thanks in advance,

A quick update following my own investigation of the issue. Apparently, the problem is somehow related to annotation objects on the first and only page. Whenever I remove the /Annots entry from the page object (e.g. by renaming it to AnnotX to preserve the overall document structure), both signatures are rendered correctly. I've uploaded the updated document here ( https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1wk9toh5e7AYllGbkJwZmZvR1E/edit?usp=sharing ).

  • Valid signature required at bottom. not at top or signature panel.

    Hi Experts,
I am using Adobe Reader X. When i did validate signature.. green tick mark is coming either top or signature panel side. I required this on exact place of signature. Actually this was working in old versions of adode reader. This feature is not coming on proper place of Adobe reader x. Please provide the solution on this ASAP.
    Thanks

    Dan:
The keyword pane used for assigning them to photos cannot be added to the info pane at the window. It's the nature of the beast. You can put in a feature request at http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html. I've not used it but Keyword Manager might be less obtrusive and work better in the smaller screen of the MBP. You can find it at VersionTracker.com and run it in demo mode.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Blue bar signature panel not appearing

I have a signed PDF that opens on a customer’s Windows PC without the blue bar signature panel. It was signed using Acrobat 9.3.2. When viewed on other systems the signature panel appears. Is it possible to disable the appearance of the signature panel?

User was originally using 9.3.2 and is now on 9.5.1. The upgrade made no difference.
I have looked at the PDFs in 9.0 and the signature panel appears. So, I'm sure its not a specific version issue.

  • IPhone Email Signature Panel Unable to View Free Text Panel!

Does anyone know how to see or scroll up or down on the iPhone 4 Email Signature panel?
Background: I have a long signature for my iPhone email, however, when I went to edit it, the panel will not display anything other than the last line. It will not let me scroll up further to make edits. Quite clearly this is an application glitch which needs to be sorted by Apple.
Any clues on whether Apple are looking to fix - I would be grateful.
    Thanks kindly.

Okay came across this solution by accident:
Go to the signature screen where you can only see the last line. Lock the phone using the button on the top of the phone, Then unlock and you should see the panel where you can now edit your signature.

  • Multiple electronic signatures in PDF portfolio

I Have a PDF portfolio that has multiple PDFs in it each requiring 1 or more electronic signatures.  The problem is that after the first person signs one of the PDFs no one else is able to and they receive an error saying it's already open or they have read only access

Which Acrobat version do you have? I've heard that there is a bug in this area in Acrobat 11.0.7. I do not have personal experience with it and I do not know how soon it will be fixed.

  • Retaining Certification and Signatures of Individual Files in Portfolio

I am compiling a pdf portfolio.  All of the individual documents are password secured for editing and are certified with my self-signed digital id.  Within the porfolio however, certification of the individual files is lost so that the digital signatures panel is blank.  I have certified the entire portfolio, but still if someone were browsing the portfolio and decided to open and save one of the files, it would not be certified.  Is there a way to retain the certification?

    Hi Steve,
What about when portfolio and attachments are certified by different users?
Let’s take into consideration end-user and Adobe Reader 9 usability.
Example: You have notorious conclusions (certification) on cover sheet in portfolio with bunch of documents attached, which were digitally signed by different municipality departments. In order to validate signatures you need to save every attachment. (We think this is real issue, lets say saving 100 attachments in order only to verify them.)
Adobe reader 8 covers this task nicely. You can be sure you have the original document in your portfolio without saving it.
Adobe reader 9 makes PDF package meaningless in terms of validation of certified documents.
Functionality which allows you easily to validate signatures in the attaches documents is more important than functionality, which prevents you from the ASSUMPTION that one signed document means all documents are signed. (Which you can make anyway by looking on the signature on the cover page)
Hope next update will have Adobe Reader 8 usability.
What is your opinion about this issue?
    Best regards,

  • How can i add a picture/logo in my email signature?

Hello. I need to add a logo in my signature. How can I do this? I tried to upload but just get a red cross...
    Thank you

My guess is the problem with the square is being caused by incomplete or broken html in the Email Signature.  I think the Signature panel doesn't know how to fix HTML.  But the email app does... so this is why you copy a complete & pre-formatted email message: entirely.
I walked through the directions above, exactly, and it works with (in my case) even oversized JPG files in the signature.
By copy and pasting the whole message body, you'll retain the html formatting &, in my case, the image too.  Running iOS 8.1 & it worked after a few tries.
Keep trying combinations... you'll get it.

  • Digital signatures getting more difficult

I'm sure there are good reasons for the changes, but from my viewpoint digital signatures in Acrobat are becoming less convenient with each new version I try.
I make extensive use of invisible signatures, with a number of people required to invisibly sign each document. In Acrobat 5.05 it was a breeze, either using a menu option or the dropdown in the signatures panel (my preferred method). Deleting a signature field was equally convenient. Just right click the field and delete it.
In Acrobat 7, the menu and dropdown options disappeared and one has to go through a bunch of screens to get there. Not terrible, but less convenient. Also, documents created using Acrobat 5 or 7 could be signed using either version as long as the document was created using Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4) compatibility. For deletion, signature fields must be cleared first, and only then can they be deleted. In both cases, creating invisble signatures and deleting signature fields, there are more steps in Acrobat 7 than in Acrobat 5.05. I can live with it, but it seems like reverse progress to me.
Now I am trying to help my boss use Acrobat 10 to invisibley sign documents created using Acrobat 7 and already invisibly signed by others using Acrobat 7 and Acrobat 5.05. If there's a way to do it, I can't find it. I suppose I could create a blank signature graphic, but that seems silly. Neither can I find any way to delete signature fields. I can clear them, but not delete them.
I'm guessing that the changes to digital signature functionality have something to do with making signed PDFs more secure and more difficult to tamper with, but I find it hard to believe that can't be accomplished without losing so much functionality.
I need to be able to have multiple invisible signatures and the capability to remove signature fields, and I need to be able to do it in Acrobat versions 5.05, 7, and X for documents created using any of those versions. If anyone knows how it can be done, please let me know.
    Thanks.

What viewer are you using for showing the PDF?

  • Digital Signature and Annotation Appearance Stream

    Hello,
I've noticed that adding an annotation on a pdf without specifying an appearance stream ( AP dictionary ) for that annotation, and then signing the document,
will cause Acrobat to report that the document is Signed and all signatures are valid, but with Annotations Modified message under the signed revision in the signature panel.
So is that behavior by acrobat, while appearance stream entry is optional in annotations ?

    Hello lrosenth,
I was eble to add an ink annotation with an appearance stream, and then signing the document with digital signature goes fine with no problems
( No "Annotations Modified" ) message appearing in the signature panel, but adding a freetext annotation with an appearance stream and then signing, is causing acrobat to show "At least one signature requires validating" message in the signature bar, and by validating the signature manually by pressing "Validate All" in the signature panel, the original problem appears again stating "Annotations Modified". So is freetext annotations should be considered in a different way than other annotation types ?
    Thank you.
