Recently updated to itunes 10.6.1, but during update it says itunes does not have a valid signature and update fails ,now older version is not able to connect to itunes store error 306. I am using windows 7.

    (Apologies for butting in, wha.)
now older version is not able to connect to itunes store error 306. I am using windows 7.
If you still get the 306 after updating to 10.6.1.7, perhaps try the following user tip:

  • Cant update CF (Error occurred while installing the update:  Failed Signature verification)

Hi I'm suffering with this issue Bug#3506758 - MySQL 5.6 Unable to Execute Queries
and therefore am trying to update cf 10 to version 13 (current version is 8) however I get 'Error occurred while installing the update: Failed Signature verification'
    I'm running Mavericks on Mac.
Can anyone point me to a step by step way to resovle this please (I'm new to Macs and am a cf coder but alas dont have any experience in server admin).
    Thanks very much indeed.
    Nick

I was going to suggest that you needed to install the mandatory updater, but the Adobe help page for it says you shouldn't need to if you already have update 8 installed.  Might be worth verifying though.

  • SSM10 update fails with tuned signatures

    Hi out there
I have a problem with a SSM10 module in a ASA5520 which has got the signature tuned - there is a lot of tuned signatures defined on it under active signatures - and this is split on three vs.
For some time the signature update has started failing - since 690.0 - I have been running a tac case on it and they told me to reset all tuned signatures to default settings. Well - after I did this I was able to update again - but now are my signatures in default settings. Since no-one can remember here why there where modified (and maybe a bit poor documentation on what had been done) I am not sure what impact the resetting has so of course I would prefer to restore the settings as they where before my update. But accourding to the tac engenieer I cannot backupå and restore the tuned values ? Can this be - what is that with that tuned values are not "supported" ??
    best regards ti

There is no way to back to the custom values, because well...they were custom.
The unit is not going to keep trace of those changes, so that is lost forever.
The signatures on the unit can be tunned depending on the scenario and customer's requests, so if a signature is tunned or created, cisco can't really guarantee it will work as you want.
Cisco can do that with default-configured signatures.
Next time you do something that radical, create a backup of the config.
    This applies for any device.

  • MARS: IPS Signature Dynamic Update Failed

    Hello all,
I checked the signature update on the MARS system and it has no update for over 6 months.  My bad.  I should checked this regularly.
So I tested the connectivity and it said successful.  Did the update now and failed:
Download Failed: CS-MARS could not download IPS Signature file - IPS-CS-MARS-Sig-S482.zip

It seems it does see the new signature out there but the down load failed not sure why.  I manually down load the signature and SSH to
the box manually did the pnupgrade using ftp and also got error:

So from there may be file was corrupted so I did the same for S480, S479, S478 and got same error.
Checked the thread in the community and follow the same step that in the threat and I am still geting no where.
Case is opened and still going no where.
If anyone ran into this problem before and had a solution for this is appreciated.
    Thank you.

It does not support manually downloading the file and perform the update.
Please use either local web server or direct connection to cisco.com site from the MARS as follows to update the IPS signature:

  • Photoshop cs4 11.0.2 update fails windows 7 64 bit

    Hello..
I finally got upgraded to windows 7 64 bit and and installed the cs4 download I got awhile back and it installed cs4 11.0 no problems. I got every update to install but the 11.0.2 update fails and I get this message
    "Adobe Setup has stopped working"
I have tried every thing I read, run as admin, move stuff out of appdat folder, reinstall.... reboot 39 times , I have no windowd defender or AV running at all everything I can find on here does not work and I get this error..... I read everyone gets this error except a darn few lucky souls..... so I tried compatibilty modes, it does the same error from win 98 all the way to win 7, xp same error vista same error it don't matter what version of windows this update seems to just stop working, so I did a troubleshooter on it and it determined that this program is incompatible with windows... I tried downloading it from Adobe and tried that... same error everytime.... don't matter if its through adobe updater or direct download this update fails and I decided to try 11.0.1 and it does the same so I guess PS CS4 11.0 is really not updatable to 11.0.2. and adobe suggests you to go cs5 to solve this problem. Except their updates fail to it looks like on this forum....
This is the problem details I get if it helps, because it does not leave a log for some reason.
    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name:     APPCRASH
    Application Name:     Setup.exe_Adobe Update Installer

    Additional Information 4:     0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

I have tried run as admin, same error pops up, I tried giving myself ownership and special permissions and everything to the PS folder since the exe is read only thinking thats why it wont update... I ran the clean script and reinstalled and tried every trick known to man ( well this forum and several others found on google) and nothing seems to work, the 11.0.2 update itself crashes, so I am just going to assume its windows fault because it does seem to work for other people....but it does seem to crash on mac I have read too... I have UAC disabled and no AV installed trying this so I installed my trend micro AV and checked and the puter is virus free so am not sure why I can not use the update but here is the screen shots I get....
I run setup.exe as admin I get this
then when I click on next, with 2 seconds I get this popping up, count 1,2 bam their it is..
so no matter what I do I get this error on 11.0.1 or 11.0.2 updates in every mode or permissions you can give...

  • Migration Signature Validation Failed

Hi, I am getting an invalid migration signature error when trying to install AIR Launchpad beta 3.0.1.
The machine is running XP SP3, with all patches applied. I have tried switching off antivirus for both download and installation, but with no success.
This is a 'clean' machine, with disk formatted, and OS and all other software re-installed less than a week ago. System time and date are correct.
AIR was installed automatically as part of Flashbuilder 4.5 installation and the update to + 4.5.1 immediately applied.
I have search the net for solutions to this, but found relatively few others with this exact issue. I did find many reports of issues with 'Package' validation errors, whhic are often attributed to certificate failures due to system date/time which I have already checked.
Hope that sombody has an answer.
The log file is attached below.
    Many Thanks

    Hmmm.
Looked at the system requirements for Launchpad 3.0.1.. Flashbuilder 4.5.1 or 4.5 sdk with AIR 2.6 overlay.. Log showed I was running 2.5.xxxx.
Launched Flashbuilder and searched for updates.. Tells me all versions of Flash Player and AIR are up to date. Decide to try installing another AIR app, so go for Tour De Flex as I want to study the mobile stuff anyway. Installs fine, and on launch, I am immediately offered an AIR update to 2.7.x. Accept the update and low and behold, AIR Launchpad now installs.
    Sweet, but wtf?
So, for anyone out there who comes falls foul of this in the future, do not rely on Flashbuilder to confirm your version of AIR is up to date, launch an AIR app instead and you will get the true picture.
Hope this helps some other confused soul.

  • Update failed on s3 for a third time

Today is a third day of S3 trying to install the new update. The update stops in one point and on the bottom of the page it says
E: Failed to verify whole -file signature
    E:Signature verification failed
Since this is happening every day at 9AM my question is Can I just opt out somehow from all future upgrades. I am Verizon customer for 6 years and none of the software updates brought anything good to my phone. Just more problems.

You may think so, but its not the case.  There are so many changes every day in the digital world.   Hackers can cause corruption that can completely lock up your phone.   Changes and updates in other systems can cause the phone to stop communicating properly.   Once you start skipping updates, which sometimes build on previous updates, the problem snowballs.
If you have concerns, contact Verizon support on the content of the updates.

Since it seemed to help some folks that were having trouble downloading the NIS updates, I have also tried downloading the updates with (winhttp) Proxy authentication on and off.
I have also tried recreating the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder (Stop wuauserv; Rename folder; Start wuauserv; Folder recreated)
Still no luck. Any help or direction you can provide is much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    John

    Hi,
    Thank you for the post.
I did some research regarding error “0x80070005”, you may perform the following steps and see if it helps:
    Step 1: Verify DCOM security
    1. Click Start, click Run, type Dcomcnfg, and then click OK.
    2. Expand Component Services, and then expand Computers.
    3. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
    4. Click the COM Security tab.
    5. Under Access Permissions, click Edit Default.
    6. Verify that the following accounts are listed:
    7. If any one of these accounts is missing in the Access Permission box, follow these steps:
    a.  Click Add, click Advanced, and then click Locations.
    b.  In the Locations box, click the Local_Computer_Name, and then click OK.
    c.  Click Find Now.
    d.  Press CTRL, click the required account names, and then click OK two times.
    e.  In the Group or User names box, click an account that you added, click Local Access in the Permissions for Account_Name box, and then click to select the check box in the Allow column.
    f.  Repeat step 7e for all the accounts that you just added, and then click OK.
Step 2: Verify DCOM default properties
    1. Click the Default Properties tab.
    2. Verify that the following configuration:
    • The Enable Distributed COM on this computer check box is selected.
    • In the Default Authentication level box, Connect is selected.
    • In the Default Impersonation level box, Identify is selected.
    3. Make any required changes, and then click OK.
    4. Restart the computer.

  • Updates failed to download during deployment

I have successfully imported several Adobe product updates from SCUP into my Config Manager server, but whenever I select these updates to deploy them to a collection I get an error when they try to download for the deployment:  Failed to download content
id 16838390.  Error: There was an error downloading the software update. (404).  Warning: Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit ActiveX 16.0.0.235
Also I get an error Failed to download content id 16839526. Error: Invalid certificate signature.  Warning: Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit Pluging 15.0.0.239
I get similar errors as above on all the adobe updates that I am trying to deploy.

I am 100% sure we are not using a GPO, but I have gone through and verified that the certificate generated by SCUP (installed on the same server as Config Manager) is in the trusted list.  This has worked in our network environment just a few months
ago and nothing has changed. I can't create a deployment because the updates fail to download and therefore cancel the deployment wizard.  This should have nothing to do with allowing 3rd party updates on my workstations.  SCUP downloads the Adobe
updates, then I can publish them to SCCM.  When I search inside Config Manager under Software Library, All Software Updates for Product = Adobe, Inc. I select all those updates and click Deploy.  Targeting my All Workstations collection, selected
my deployment package that I previously created last week, took the rest of the defaults and it provisions the updates, then I get the following errors (I can't attach an image so here is a copy of the errors):
Error: All selected software updates failed to download.

  • IDS Signature Updates

When I update my IDS sensors using the IDS MC 3 of my 4 sensors hang. They never restart all of the services. When I telnet to them I get the message "Error: Cannot communicate with system processes. Please contact your system admi
nistrator.". The IDS MC progress veiwer shows 100% but with errors. It's errors are :Sensor Int_IDS1: Signature Update Process
An error occurred while running the update script on the sensor named Int_IDS1. Detail = An RDEP communication error occurred during the update. Exception message = org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpRecoverableException: Error in parsing the status line from the response: unable to find line starting with "HTTP"
One sensor works fine with no problems.
I have tried upgrading the sensors individually through IDSMC and the same 3 fail with the same error message. I have tried doing it through command line and ftp and the same 3 fail. The 3 sensors that fail are 4235's and the successful sersor is a 4250 XL.

If you are not running the 'f' patch on your sensors, 4.1.4(f), you should download and install that patch. It fixes some out-of-memory on upgrade issues that are most likely the cause of your problem.
The patch location is posted in another thread.

  • S363 Signature Update

We have 4 Cisco ASA-SSM-AIP modules that need the new signature set applied. We are getting an error trying to ftp the upgrade to the console of these devices. "Error: execUpgradeSoftware : Received only partial file: 131072 bytes". We have downloaded the S363 version multiple times to no avail. Are we missing something? It appears as if the download is corrupt but we have verified the file size with the original. We have tried the upgrade on all four and it fails on each one.

Verify your downloaded file using a MD5 checker once you've download it and don't merely rely on comparing the byte size. Many freeware MD5 checkers are available on google. Sometimes proxies cache the file and you keep downloading the same file again and again (even tough you are re-downloading). Sometimes this can be evaded by changing the filename of the downloaded file (then rename it back).
Also try to use a different FTP server to rule out any issues there (FileZilla is a nice and free one).

  • IPS Signature Update - CSM v3.3 SP1

    Hi,
I am getting the following error message when deploying IPS signature updates to some of my sensors via the CSM deployment tool:
"Failed to generate edit config delta  for host component. Detail: Error while processing the host component with DNS,access-list or http-proxy"
The signature update actually deploys, but I am wondering what is causing this message.  I get this with some 4240, 4255 and IDSM-II blades, but not with others and I can't see any config variances.
Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this message?  The access ACLs are the same for each sensor.
    Many thanks

    Hi Liam,
As you mentioned you are using a shared policy, and the access ACLs for all sensors are the same, I assume that you may be using an "Allowed Hosts" shared policy.
In that case, how did you create that policy ?
Did you create the policy from the policy view page, or did you right click on the "Allowed Hosts" setting of a device in device view and select "share policy" ?
If you did the first, you may be running into a known issue. You can read more about this on the bug toolkit:
    http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/search/getBugDetails.do?method=fetchBugDetails&bugId=CSCtg02063
This is the workaround that should work for you in case you are indeed running into this issue:
    1. Rediscover or newly add any one IPS device running 7.x version
    2. Create entries for "Allowed Hosts" according to requirements.
    3. Right click on "Allowed Hosts", select "Share Policy..." and specify a name for shared policy.
    4. Assign this "Allowed Hosts" shared policy to one or more devices.
    5. Deployment should now be successful for "Allowed Hosts".

  • IPS Trial license and signature updates

    Hi All,
We have a AIP-SSM 20, I installed a trial license while we wait for the contract. But I am not sure how I can get the signature files, since I cannot download it from the site and auto-update fails with authorization.
Is is possible to get these with a trial license?
    Thanks!
    Jacques

The Trial License itself only affects whether or not the sensor will allow installation of the files.
The Trial License has no affect on whether or not your userid on cisco.com will be able to access the files.
Do you have a Cisco Representative that you work with? If so then contact him/her. They should be able to either get permission for your userid, or download the files themselves and provide them to you.
If they download them for you, you won't be able to test the "auto-update" feature, but will at least be able to manually install them.
