Signatures For All

Welcome to Signatures For All
With the return of signatures to the forum, Signatures For All has also returned. We have changed a lot from previously, except for the one fact that we want everyone to have a decent signature image under their post.
Anyone can create or request a signature. Just remember the sig makers can either be at school, college, university or may be working and they will also have a life away from these forums, so when you request, please be patient.
Type of requests we do

When you make a request try to be specific about what you want, and don’t request every second day or you will be ignored.
To make it easier, you can use this form template to request the best way will be to copy and paste it and fill in the blank bits, you don’t have to use it or fill out all the fields.

  • Only one signature for all mail accounts very limiting

while the iphone is a very cool tool, i'm using the iphone for personal and work email,
and i find it very limiting that there is only one signature possible for all mail accounts.
standard, we all found out is written "written on my iphone" or something like that.
i always thought it was very dorky when i read that from blueberry users last year, (as if i'm interested that someone reads and writes his work e-mails from a mobile)
so, lets stop pretending it is cool to mail from the iphone, but just do it with all functionality it should have.
like having multiple signatures for example with work signature when i'm working, and personal signatures when not
meanwhile, can you (apple support) please help me loose less time when i want to erase my work signature every time i want to e-mail personally by adding functionality like "selecting bulk" and "cutting" (and then allowing to copy and paste while you're at it) to your sdk, Pronto please!
    thanks!
anyone agrees? please follow up. maybe it helps speed up the improvement..

Once you sync your mail accounts with iTunes the first time, you can turn that off in iTunes. You don't need to do that anymore, unless you make a change to the account. It only syncs the settings. You can reset the sync history after deleting the accounts from your phone and then do another sync. That should correct the problem. I'm not as familiar with Mac computers, but maybe someone with a Mac can help a little.
    Hope this answers your questions.

  • Bad PGP/GPG signatures for all Win32 Mozilla firefox partial.mar files

I checked the .asc signature for the Mozilla 12.0 update firefox-11.0-12.0.partial.mar and came up with:
Signature made Fri, Apr 20, 2012 21:24:01 EDT using DSA key ID C52175E2
BAD signature from "Mozilla Software Releases <[email protected]>"
The MD5, SHA1 and SHA512 checksums come back OK.

An interesting interpretation of the facts...
<b><i>Cygwin</i></b>, an OpenSource project of Red Hat Inc., (available at http://cygwin.com) is:
    • a collection of tools which provide a Linux look and feel environment for Windows.
    • a DLL (cygwin1.dll) which acts as a Linux API layer providing substantial Linux API functionality.
Now, using these tools, specifically the ''rsync'' tool (which uses the rsync TCP/IP protocol), I downloaded the update MAR file from the OFFICIAL site using the Rsync address:
    rsync://releases-rsync.mozilla.org::mozilla-releases/firefox/releases/12.0/update/win32/en-US/firefox*.mar*
    (This is equivalent to: http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/12.0/update/win32/en-US/)
    This retrieved:
    firefox-11.0-12.0.partial.mar<br>
    firefox-11.0-12.0.partial.mar.asc<br>
    firefox-12.0.complete.mar<br>
    firefox-12.0.complete.mar.asc<br>
The '''''.asc''''' extension is short for ASCII (alternatively, this could be, by convention, '''''.sig''''',) and contains the digital signature generated using the "Mozilla Software Releases" PGP'/GPG key, DSA key ID C52175E2. '''''PGP'''''/'''''GPG''''' are authentication tools that use the <b><i>RSA encryption algorithm</i></b> to generate digital signatures that guarantee the veracity of a file or message. The signature for firefox-11.0-12.0.partial.mar does NOT verify. The output of GPG is:
    + gpg --verify firefox-11.0-12.0.partial.mar.asc firefox-11.0-12.0.partial.mar<br>
    ...<br>
gpg: Signature made Fri, Apr 20, 2012 21:24:01 EDT using DSA key ID C52175E2<br>
gpg: BAD signature from "Mozilla Software Releases "<br>
Official MD5, SHA1 and SHA512 checksums are also available for this file and its signature. They DO verify properly. For example:
    + md5sum -c .md5sum (.md5sum is extracted from MD5SUMS)<br>
    ...<br>
    update/win32/en-US/firefox-12.0.complete.mar: OK<br>
    update/win32/en-US/firefox-12.0.complete.mar.asc: OK<br>
    update/win32/en-US/firefox-11.0-12.0.partial.mar: OK<br>
    update/win32/en-US/firefox-11.0-12.0.partial.mar.asc: OK<br>
Would someone, please, check why a bad PGP/GPG signature for this file is being distributed? All the Mozilla12.0 partial.mar signatures I've checked (en-{GB,US,ZA}, zh-{CN,TW}) are bad.

  • Digital Signatures for mutliple company code

    Hi,
Our client have multiple company codes & they want to use digital signature for all the company code and there be individual authorised digital signatory for each comp code.
Now the question is , whether we have procure different digital signature for individual company codes & if so how system will identifies which authorised ditigatl signature should be assigned to respective company code...?
=> We are not able to download Adobe Form local & aslo is it mandatory to have digital signature to download Form 16 on a local system.
    System details : ECC 6
    SP Level : 38
    Thanks & Regrads,

    Digital Signature is person specific
You have to take the Digital signature ( A number assigned for each signatory with the tool),from an authorized services provided by NSDL
In a single company code if you have 2/3 signatories , first you need to make groups based on the signing authorities, in combination of PA/PSA/EG/ESG/BA etc
The form 16 is to be generated on the above criteria applicable.
3 file of form16 will be generated and send accross to 3 signing authorities
The signing authority can open the form using the tool ,digitial signatory software install and can authenticate the form16.
As per NSDL form16 is now not an statuory doucment. Its just an Tax Information of an Employee.
which is not required to be attached with your ITR's also
So why do you require the Digital signature to be printed on the form16 . Pls check this up with your finance team

  • How to change default action "alarm" for all signatures ?

My question belongs to a Cisco 1712 (128 MB, IOS 12.3T, SDM 2.5 installed):
I'm trying to change the default action "alarm" to "alarm, reset, drop" for all signatures of my custom set.
However doing so via SDM fails. First, it appears as being done correctly, but after compiling the signatures again, the default values are back there (in the same sense, I was unable to delete signatures, works just using the CLI).
I followed the instructions at cisco.com:
    router(config)#ip ips signature-definition
    router(config-sigdef)#signature 6130 10
    router(config-sigdef-sig)#engine
    router(config-sigdef-sig-engine)#event-action produce-alert
    router(config-sigdef-sig-engine)#event-action deny-packet-inline
    router(config-sigdef-sig-engine)#event-action reset-tcp-connection
    router(config-sigdef-sig-engine)#exit
However ip ips signature-definition is not understood by the router, so the procedure fails.
Can you please assist me ?

You can use IOS command-line interface (CLI) to change signature actions for one signature or a group of signatures based on signature categories. The following example shows how to change signature action to alert, drop and reset for signature 6130 with subsig ID of 10.
    router#configure terminal
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
    router(config)#ip ips signature-definition
    router(config-sigdef)#signature 6130 10
    router(config-sigdef-sig)#engine
    router(config-sigdef-sig-engine)#event-action produce-alert
    router(config-sigdef-sig-engine)#event-action deny-packet-inline
    router(config-sigdef-sig-engine)#event-action reset-tcp-connection
    router(config-sigdef-sig-engine)#exit
    router(config-sigdef-sig)#exit
    router(config-sigdef)#exit
Do you want to accept these changes? [confirm]y

  • Configure "reset" for all default signatures

    Hi all,
When I update signature (all default signature by Cisco), I want to configure "action: reset" for all default signatures (all default signatures that are turned on) . If you know how to do that, please answer me.
    Thank you very much.
    Duy Khang

Do you mean after each sig update? You can go into the sig configuration and do a "select by" release. you will get a drop-down box of releases, select the appropriate release. You can then sort by enabled. select multiple sigs at a time by using the shift key. now click the actions button to change multiple sigs at once.

  • Digital signatures for use in consenting research participants

Hi.  I need some help implementing digital signatures into a consent document.  I work as a research assistant at a university and in our line of research, we have participants from multiple regions of the country.  One of the most important parts of staying in compliance with various regulations is that all research participants are presented with information about the study, and they must sign a document to indicate that they understand the risks/benefits involved.
We want to implement digital signatures to make this process easier for ourselves and the research participants who live across the country.  However, there seem to be some technical hurdles in using signatures.  First, we want to make sure that participants who only have Adobe Reader are also able to sign (my understanding is that they should be able to).  Some participants may not be very computer savvy, so we need the process to be somewhat dummy-proof.  Participants must fill in their printed name and date, so I need for them to have authority to change some information, but I don't want them to have the authority to change the document itself or the participant ID numbers which I have to fill in once I get the form back.
I have created a fillable form in Adobe LiveCycle and added 2 signature form fields, one for the participant, and one for myself.  I plan on distributing the form so that I can have a dataset file for all of the returned consents.
Essentially the process should work like this:
I send a participant the form, they fill out the fields for their printed name, date, and provide their digital signature and use the submit by email button to return the form to me.
I receive the form, add their participant ID number, and provide my digital signature.
Save the file in our dataset file which is associated with the returned consent forms.
The thing I'm concerned about is their digital signature being invalidated once I insert the ID numbers and add my own digital signature.
Thanks for any help you could provide.

We have a document that needs to be signed by more than one individual -- and in our process we are using the Topacz signature pad to get the signature.  It's similar to the one you sign at the grocery store, drug store, etc.  In order to NOT have the first signature invalidated, we were told to edit the registry...and it works perfectly!
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\AVAlert\cCheckbox]
    "iDigSigSaveAsCertified"=dword:00000001
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\8.0\AVAlert\cCheckbox\cAnnots]
    "iReaderEnableSaveWarn"=dword:00000001
Obviously if you are using a different version of Acrobat, you'll have to change the key accordingly.
Hopefully this will work with your process.
    Good luck!!

  • To override a signature for a particular IP Address range in IPS

    Hi team
We have one of the customers having Cisco IPS in Inline VLAN Pairing mode , version IPS 4240 , 5.1(5) .The issue is that they are having a website www.visaonline.com which was accessible from their LAN few days back (with and without proxy) .The users use to type this URL in browser on HTTP port , after which internally it gets redirected to HTTPS port .After the IPS became inline , the URL is inaccessible .The current bypass setting in the IPS is "Auto".I have chnaged the bypass mode to "On" (not to inspect traffic) so as to confirm if IPS is only blcoking the traffic . Once i changed , i found the URL started working . My concern is iam unable to find out that particular signature which is triggering this as may be the logging / produce alert action is not enabled for the same
I have done following to make the URL work
    1) Created a even action filter from the source(0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255) to the destination (198.241.168.0-198.241.168.254)and subtracted all "deny " actions
    2) Created a even action filter from the source (198.241.168.0-198.241.168.254)to the destination (0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255)and subtracted all "deny " actions
The above combination didnt worked , so i disabled the above rule and then i created a new custom signature 60002 with the engine as "Atomic IP "
    A) Gave the action for all produce alert / log alert / SNMP for the source (0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255) to destination (198.241.168.0-198.241.168.254) however this also didnt worked
Note the IP Address of www.visaonline.com is 198.241.168.200 and sometimes we see in the nestat output 198.241.168.36 too
I believe the "Event action filters " in IPS should have worked in this case ; howeevr it is not working .Please let me know how to do correct configuration and also how to find out as to with which signature it is triggering
As of now i have disabled all the Deny packet inline / attacker / victim / TCP Reset / modify packet type of signatures and the URL is WORKING NOW .....however i believe thats not a solution .Please help in this regard
    Ankur

No the idea is not to disable the signature. The reason why I wanted you to locate the specific block/deny was to make it easier to fix it. I would still recommend to use the Event Action Filters only to exclude the host and not disable the signature altogether.
That said, there are some signatures that "according to the documentation" cannot be excluded using event actions like Sweep signatures. These signatures have a field for Source/Dest IP built-in to exclude specific hosts. HOwever to be honest I could get event actions to work perfectly with event actions on our customers ;), so it could be an old restriction still mentioned in the docs.
Lastly, you only disable a signature when you are absolutely sure that you are not running the Software/Application/Service on your network. For example on one customer we would frequently get VPN 3000 COnc. HTTP attack signatures fired for internet traffic, and since there is no chance to add any VPN3k on this network (its already End of Sale), I disabled this signature.

  • I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail is not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice

I have just upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures for my Mail are not showing up. I have the signatures inthe preference panes and selected for the email address, but when I make a new message, the signature shows as none and doesn't give me a choice. Yesterday, the signatures were stacking instead of switching to the one I wanted to choose.

I had this and fixed it.
I had upgraded to Mountain Lion and my signatures in Mail were fine. But then about a week later, I got a new computer and used Migration Assistant to copy my stuff to the new machine. Upon opening Mail, I had all the correct Signature information in the Preferences>Signatures window, but nothing worked.
After lots of hunting, I found the Signature Folder. It's in:
    Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
Looking at my previous setup (which works) I saw in that folder two types of files: .webarchive and .siganture
Looking in my new machine's Signature folder, I saw only the .webarchive folders, not the .signature folders
Since this was literally a clone of my previous setup to a new machine, here's what I did:
    1. Quit Mail
    2. In Problem machine, go to
    Yourusername>Library>Mail>V2>MailData>Signatures
    3. Move the Signatures folder someplace safe, but out of the MailData folder
    4. Get the Signatures Folder from the working install (like a backup) and copy it to the MailData folder on the problematic machine
    5. Start Mail on the problem machine
This worked for me. I don't know why Migration Assistant didn't copy the full signature folder, but this fixed it. It worked perfectly partly because I had just backed up with Carbon Copy Cloner and the very next day set up the new machine. I don't know where Lion or earlier versions of mail stored signatures, but the absence of the .signature filetype seems to be the problem.
    Hope this helps
