Signatures on my I-pad?

I have a sign off form that I use multiple times daily for customer signatures. Can I simply take a digital photo of it and then allow customers to sign in box via ipad?

It's a built-in app, so it can't be deleted.  If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Safari being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Can I create PAdES signature using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 or 9.0?

    Hi
Can I create PAdES (PDF Advanced Electronic Signatures, Technical Specification ETSI TS 102 778) signature using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 or 9.0?
ETSI Technical Specification (TS) 102 778 contains five parts:
    • Part 1: PAdES Overview – a framework document for PAdES
    • Part 2: PAdES Basic – Profile based on ISO 32000-1
    • Part 3: PAdES Enhanced – PAdES-Basic Electronic Signatures and PAdES-Explicit Policy Electronic Signatures Profiles
    • Part 4: PAdES Long Term – PAdES-Long Term Validation Profile
    • Part 5: PAdES for XML Content – Profiles for XAdES signatures of XML content in PDF files
All five parts were published on 31 July 2009.
    Thanks for answer.

    Hi,
    The short answer is yes.
Acrobat 8 and later support all of requirements of PAdES such as serial signing, long term validation (time stamping and embedded revocation responses) and signatures in the PKCS#7 format.

  • Acrobat/Reader and PADES (Digital Signatures)

I've read the document that James King of Adobe published and made the configurations to make Acrobat PADES compliant. However when I sign a document and inspect the generated CMS package inside the PDF, the signing-certificate value in Signed-Attributes is not present. So I'm assuming that the signature is still not PADES-BES compliant. Is there anything I can do to make Acrobat put a PADES-BES signature?
Also, I for verification, I made a test. I've externally signed a PDF with a CMS packet that has signing-certificate signed attribute. The signature has been validated in Acrobat. After that, I've intentionally put a random value as signing-certificate value. When I opened that PDF, it still validated fine in Acrobat. Therefore I understand that Acrobat doesn't do full PADES-BES validation. Is this right? Is there a configuration that can make Acrobat make a full PADES validation?
I'm using 9.1.3 version of Acrobat under Windows.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Stewen,
    Thank you for your answer.
I've took the value of Contents dictionary value and inspected it with an ASN.1 viewer. You're right, the signing certificate is on the PKCS7 (CMS) package. However, PaDES doesn't suffice with that. It requires a signing-certificate value in the signed attributes inside SignerInfo sequence in CMS. Also, the subfilter value should say ETSI.CAdES.detached as mandated in ETSI TS 102 708-3 V.1.1.1 page 8.
    e) The signature dictionary shall contain a value of ETSI.CAdES.detached for the key SubFilter.
Since we are mandated by EU guidelines our customers require ETSI compatibility.

  • How to add signature using magic trackpad

I have read that I can add a signature using the track pad.  I am a new Mac user and just trying to get things figured out.

  • How can I connect my ipad to my mac and use it as a signature pad?

The company I work for want utilize the ipads we have and use them as signature pads for clients to sign off on authorization forms. Is this possible and How can I got about doing this?

It has nothing to do with the device. The way Wi-Fi works, an end device can only be associated with a single access point at a time. And the iPad will attempt to latch on to the strongest signal it gets, in case there are several usable access points at any given moment.

  • Multiple Electronic Signatures using Signature PAD

    Hello Experts,
We have a requirement where we need to capture the electronic signature on thee PDF form at different time. This means I fill the PDF form get the 1st electronic signature using signature PAD and then saved the form. I open the same form and then take the 2nd signature. When we are taking the 2nd signature on the saved form it's making the form and signature invalid.
Please let me know if there's a restriction by Adobe PDF such that you can't accept the signature once it's signed and saved.
    Thanks, Ritesh

Yes, that's an e-signature. An option if you need to set up multiple e-signatures is to use stamps. They can be flattened individually, which converts them to regular page contents. The Acrobat help has more information on using stamps and you can use the following free JavaScript-based utility to flatten them after they're applied if you want: http://www.uvsar.com/projects/acrobat/flattener/

  • Anyone ever try 2 use a credit card signature trasaction pad as MIDI input?

I've come across a Transaction Team credit card signature touch and signature pad. From what I've read about it, it seems like one of the more versatile ones.
    http://www.handheld.com/Site.aspx/na/en/product_center/hardware/?product=118
I just have to use this as a MIDI imput for my Mac w/ Logic! Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I am waiting to hear back from the company to see if they have mac drivers. I sure hope this deranged idea is possible!!! Any suggestions, to at least, some cool, do-it-yourself gear websites? Thanks!

You might also try a Wacom Intuos tablet. I have 9" by 12" (230mm by 300mm) tablet and software that allows me to choose which parameters to modify.
The pen is pressure sensitive but not quite as flexible as the Wacom mouse which is easier to use since you don't have to pick it up all the time (moving from MIDI controller to pen is a bit of a pain).
I've found the accuracy of pressure pretty variable so you can't consistently use it for volume, for instance, but it's good enough to be able to do key switching using transform. It has 1024 pressure sentivity levels so it may just be my technique.
However, if you're after something really wacky - and quite cheap - try this:

I have one of these VR gloves and use it with the follwing software:
    http://www.simulus.org/p5glove/
It's quite amazing what you can do with it. A bit like a Theremin on heat. I bought my glove on ebay for $30

  • Making a form "signable" using a signature capture pad or tablet?

    Hi,
Our system right now is generating a very simple form to be printed, signed by a customer, and then filed.  We're looking to go paperless with the system and just have the customer sign a signature capture pad (I don't know if I'm calling this device by the right name - I mean the flat pad or touchscreen that is signed with a plastic tipped pen, like when you swipe your own credit card.)
We then want this "captured" signature to be placed in the right location on the form, and the form saved in our records for retrieval and printing later if necessary.
Right now, this form is a plain webpage styled with a "print" style sheet.  It's just a few paragraphs of plain text so alignment isn't critical.  I can switch to using a pdf form if that makes it easier.  The key is, we want this to work as a web-based system, so ideally if pdf is necessary it would work on machines running Reader or Acrobat.
I've never worked with one of these signature pads.  How do they generally hand data to the computer?  Is it an image?  Would this image then have to be upped to the server and then dropped onto the form?  Or is there an easier way?
Any suggestions would be great.  I enjoy studying these things on my own, but I can't even find anything to study in this case lol.
    Thanks,
    Joe

I think you're not getting an responses because you're not asking in the right place.  This is a CF forums, and what you're asking has nothing to do with CF at all, other than your question relates to web-based forms, and CF is a web-oriented technology.
If I was faced with your requirement, I'd be checking the input device's website or community, and see what they've got: someone will have done this already, or it might be documented right out of the box.  You need to apporach this from the perspective of "how do I get this particular device to integrate with HTML forms and webpages" not "I have a web form... how do I get it to work with this input device" (if you see the subtle difference there: just one of where you start your investigation).
Either way, CF won't know or care about how the client-side form is filled out,  all it will see is some form fields which have been sent to it via a POST or a GET HTTP request.  In fact it doesn't even care that there's a form involved.  All it deals with is HTTP requests, and the data therein.

  • E-Pad and digital signatures

    Folks,
Our company is implementing a new process wherein at the time of shipment, they would like to have the truck driver sign an e-Pad and the signature should be imported onto the bill-of-lading output. We have a customized delivery process and due to the volume of shipments, we do not want the truck drivers to spend anytime like saving the signature image to the desktop and then import into SAP etc.
We want the signature to be imported from the delivery screen (custom developed) onto the bill of lading output at the click of a button. We are using SAP version 4.7 and the e-Pad signature is from interlink electronics, who appear to be naive in SAP. We are open to look at other vendors for e-Pad or e-Signatures.
Hence, please help in the following ASAP:
    1. Does SAP 4.7 have any limitations to import digital signatures?
    2. Do anyone have any experience with e-Pad with interlink or can suggest any other vendor/product that can be readily used for this purpose?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ram

  • How can I integrate a Topaz signature pad to place the signature on the document?  It is a certificate signature on the pad that isn't going onto the document.

Adobe doesn't support a signature pad for Adobe Acrobat but the Topaz pad sees and registers the signature on the computer but not on the document?  Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Mary,
Did you not get software from Topaz along with the signature pad? You should have gotten a file called signplus.exe (or gemsignplus) that installs the software that integrates the Topaz signature pad with Acrobat. Then you need to go to the Signature Creation preference and select Topaz as the default signing method. You can also select Always ask and then you would be prompted to select either Topaz or the traditional Acrobat digital signature when you click on a signature field.
How to get to the signature preference depends on the version of Acrobat you are using. If you let me know I'll give you the exact steps.

  • Signature from e-pad to SAP script

    Hi
I just want to know , how to transfer a digital signature into an SAP-script.
My object is  truck driver will sign using electronic pad , that signature should be transfered into bill of lading     Script.
Any ideas and any suggestions on this object.

    Hi manjari,
Showing the name and signature on the output is NOT the same thing as
a digital signature. It's simply a matter of printing the name and an
image file. This is done in your print program and SAPScript form, or
your Smartform. Also, if those signatures are considered to be in any
way sensitive (and they should be), then the signature image should be
printed by using a physical bitmap cartridge in the printer, which can
be removed and locked up when not needed.
you can visit this webpage for more information on digital-signature.

  • Sign Once (Signature Pad) & Copy Signature Image Many?

Does anyone know how to sign a document once with a signature pad (or with a signature image applied to a digital signature,we suppose) and then attempted to copy the signature image into other image objects in the form?  We’re assembling large sets of forms with multiple signature areas, and one common end page where the signature is captured by the signature pad.  The requirement is to fill-out all associated signatures so that the customer only has to sign once (yes, this has been approved by legal).
What we’ve tried to do is to bind and image field in the form to the same XML element where the signature image data is bound. The signature field, of course, is not bound to anything as there is no binding tab.  The problem is where do we find it (if it’s even exposed)?  We’ve written JS to dump the entire XFA data out of the form, but the signature info is just not there.
Any other ideas we may pursue?  If this helps, we're using a Topaz SignatureGem 1x5 signature pad (see attached link).  We’ll need to worry about invalidating the single digital signature if we can figure this out, but just trying to get through the first hurdle.  Not sure if it's possible, as well, to copy one signature to another in its entirety.
Thanks for anyone’s help in advance!

Additionally, it looks like someone opened a thread on doing this a while back, but it trailed-off (no answer):

  • Topaz signature pad and Reader 10/11

    Background:
I am working on the County Attorney's Case Management Project which will make all court documents filing electronic and as part of that process we will require all signatures on court documents to be digital only.  We currently have Adobe integration with our software and will be using Adobe to sign the documents.  Currently most County Attorney's offices user Reader not Acrobat.
    Question:
We are using a Topaz Systems SigLite 1x5 LCD Signature Pad as our test/training signature pad.  In Reader when we try to sign we are not getting a signature capture window, instead we are only able to use the default Adobe signature options of drawing, text, or inserting an image.  Is there anyway to get the signature capture to appear for use when signing?  (assuming all of the security properties for the document are set properly, which I have verified) I can get this to work perfectly in Acrobat. I'm trying to make the process of signing all of these docs for the attorneys easy and with the fewest amount of keystrokes and clicks as possible.
    Thanks!
    --erika

Check to make sure that it's actually available in Reader. I think the following should show it: Help > About Adobe plug-ins
There is also a user preference that can affect its availability: Edit > Preferences > General > Use only certified plug-ins
If this doesn't help, check to make sure the plug-in is actually present in the plug-ins folder for each Reader installation.
If you can confirm the the plug-in is correctly installed and loaded in Reader and it still doesn't work, I'd then contact Topaz.

  • Connecting to an Electronic Signature Pad

    Hello,
We have just purchased Acrobat 9.0 Pro for our business and are trying to get it to work with an electronic signature pad. Both the ignature pad and Acrobat are installed and working: I was told by multiple different personel that Acrobat would work with an electronic signature pad. However, I am not able to get the epad and acrobat to talk to each other. I have tried going to Edit->Preferences->Security (Advanced Settings) -> Create -> Signature Default drop-dpwn menu, but it is not allowing me to connect. The ePad is supposed to be compatilbe with Acrobat, and I was, as mentioned above, told that Acrobat would work with an ePad. I am not opposed to returning the pad IF I have to and purchasing one through Adobe, but as far as I know they do not sell hardware. Help appreciated!

Did Adobe tell you the pad was compatible or somebody else. Personally, I'd recommend you drop the electronic pad idea and switch to digital signatures.

  • Signature with Signature pad

Our engineering firm needs Engineers to be able to sign pdf

Most of the signature functions im finding are secure digital
