Signed up to CC Photography program. Photoshop asking for serial number

Signed up to Photoshop photography program.Lightroom installed and is working fine but photoshop is not, itkeepsasking me for a serial number even after I have signed into my account. I was using photoshop trial before I subscribed so I thought maybe that might be the problem??
I have followed all the 'sign in, activation, or connection errors' guide on Adobe but nothing seems to be working! Help!

    I have a Creative Cloud membership and I have installed Photoshop and Illustrator. Illustrator works fine, but when I run Photoshop it asks me to license the software. I sign in with my Adobe ID, but then it tells me to enter a serial number. I've tried reinstalling etc, it does not help.

    Having International English-only as an option is a business/legal requirement for Europe.
    I understand the frustration but it is difficult. If you sign up as a Free Trial user (so you have not yet paid for International English) which language should we default to? We default to the language of the operating system. Perhaps not perfect but a choice is made. And this works over 99% of the time, except for multi-lingual users whose OS is not set to English and choose International English-only. And yes I empathize as someone who can work fluently on both English and Japanese systems.
    Any more feedback you have on how you would suggest to improve things please let us know. I will make sure that the feedback reaches the correct teams here.

    I purchased a year subscription to Creative Cloud and when I launch Photoshop and click on license software, it shows my correct adobe id but then asks me for a serial number. How can I fix this? I am on Mac OS X v. 10.8.2

    If you had a beta version of Photoshop CS6 you would want to uninstall it and reinstall through the Adobe Application Manager. So long as it was installed through the Adobe Application Manager you should only have to click the "License this software" button and sign in with your Adobe ID.
    There is an issue with Photoshop CS6 specifically happening right now in which the product reverts to trial after the 3rd or 4th launch, our engineering team will be addressing this soon with another product update. I'm not sure if that is related or not.

    Please then use your web Browser  address http://www.adobe.com/  and sign in with your Adobe User ID and Password to your account the has your Subscription and use https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html capture the page which shows you have a subscription like I showed you I have.
    Open Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application use the APP tab and capture that scree to show Photoshop is installed and up to date like I did. Capture that screen. Show us you have installed Photoshop and its up to date.
    Open Photoshop and use menu Help it should show tha its activated because there will be a menu item Sign Out. If it is Sign In, Sign in  using the account that has the subscription the one you used above to Activate Photoshop.

    This is also happening to me.
    I've been a subscriber for the last year and a bit.
    I've moved to a new computer at home and since then I've been getting this prompt even though I'm signed in, everytime I've opened photoshop. Now the trial has expired and I'm cut off from using it.
    This is total BS.
    I've spent the last 2.5 hours going thru every adobe support doc they've posted. Nothing works. Two hour wait on the phone, 2.5 hour wait to chat (if I'm lucky and the window manages to stay open).
    Oh hey, I can see my breach notification from here too!

    Laptop = OSX 10.8.5
    Desktop = OSX 10.8.5
    Launching photoshop from dock. It asks for serial number. I enter serial number copied directly form my account with adobe.
    Error says "This serial number is not valid for Adobe Photoshop CC."
    I'm confused as to why Photoshop worked before on my laptop but now it does not. Did something expire? Do I need a separate serial number for a different computer (ie. my laptop). I don't understand.

    Uninstall the serial-number LR5, the one you have installed, now, then quit the CC Desktop application (gear/quit or right-click quit), then restart the CC Desktop application, which will rescan and see that LR is no longer installed, and will offer LR in the CC Desktop apps list with an Install button next to it, so install that version.

  • Had trial version of Photoshop, now bought CCloud, but photoshop still asks for serial number

    I had downloaded a free trial of Photoshop, it expired, which led me to buy Creative Cloud so I could use it. Now after purchasing it, it keeps saying "trial expired" and wants a serial number, but every other app works ok without having to load a serial number. Also, have been on hold with customer service for well over 2 hours. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling/downloading Photoshop multiple times (just like the chat help suggested) yet it still asks for serial number since trial has expired to open Photoshop. Help?

    I finally managed to get Customer Support on a Chat line.  There is no registation for CC products but you do have to activate your download/subscription using your Adobe ID and password.  That removes the request for a registration/serial number.
    I am now on line and happy.  Sad it takes so much sweat and frustration to get these simple things done.

    If the above mentioned steps have not helped , can you please try the below mentioned article. Although its for LR3 but its still effective for the newer version .
