Whta is the significance of Installing and Dismantling of Functional Location and Equipment.

it is basically for proper structuring of your organization ,if your plant is using the combination of FL and Equipment ,then there may be several FL and equipment in the industry.
for arranging the equipment in the respective FL this installing and dismantling is provided.

    You can either use the standard way of locking by using :
    data:lv_varkey          TYPE rstable-varkey.
    concatenate functional_location sy-mandt into lv_varkey .
    *   Lock table
        CALL FUNCTION 'ENQUEUE_E_TABLEE'
          EXPORTING
            mode_rstable   = 'E'
            tabname        = 'IFLOS'
            varkey         = lv_varkey
          EXCEPTIONS
            foreign_lock   = 1
            system_failure = 2
            OTHERS         = 3.
    *     Unlock table
          CALL FUNCTION 'DEQUEUE_E_TABLEE'
            EXPORTING
              mode_rstable = 'E'
              tabname      = 'IFLOS'
              varkey       = lv_varkey.
    Or,
    As mentioned above create a lock object via transaction SE11.
    Go to transaction se11:
    --> Enter lock object name e.g EZ_IFLOS
    --> Click on create
    --> Enter description
    --> Click on tables tab
    --> Enter 'IFLOS' as table name
    --> select lock mode
    --. click on save and activate.
    2 function modules will be created as DEQUEUE_EZ_IFLOS and ENQUEUE_EZ_IFLOS .

  • Installation Of PRTs on Functional Location

    Hi Guys,
    Can anybody tell me if I install the PRTu2019s equipment on functional location what will be the impact on business.
    Because my client want to install all his PRTu2019s on functional location so that he can do the analysis in the different software which is connected with SAP.
    Because that software only can track those equipment which is installed.Please provide me your valuable input.

    I dont think there is any impact for installing the PRT towards the funtional location .normally PRT's installation will have little scope .if the client wants the same you can go ahead

  • Functional Location

    Hi,
    Client is having lot of moving Equipments. So then he want that when production person should create notifiaction, he should enter the location also to identify the location of perticular machine like welding machine. For fixed machines , that will be installed at functional location.But what about  moving machines. Can i control it with any exit. Means when equipment status inst, system should fetch from Functional Location or else.

    I hope this can be done for your case...
    Create New Equipment category for moving equipments.... You can create notification with respect to equipments... thats enough... in other case.. if u require a functional location... then create one functional location EX : Maintenance Room etc... Assign all the moving equipments to this functional location...
    You can get the functional location datas from here... so notification will have a functional location...
    Normally for moving equipments... Say Equipment A and B is working in one functional location Z for five days... but equipment A will be used in another functional after 3rd day... in such case... you need to assemble and dismantle the functional location, once the work is started and completed... you need to take care of these things...
    By this.. you can track the usage of equipments at different functional location

    If you created the Measuring Point for the selected FL, then that measuring point will be populated automatically. If you have more than one measuring point, then you can select using Possible entries option.
    In this case, I think its not possible to restrict with configuration.
       IPRM0004 Maintenance plan / item: Customer check for time "SAVE"
    Use this user exit, while saving check for the functional location for the selected measuring point & give error message.
    Use tables IMPTT to get Object Number of FL. Use IFLOT to get the FL.

    To attach a functional location to an equipment, please make sure the following settings,
    1- You have defined the installation allowed at functional location for the following equipment category.
    2- Make sure status of your equipment is AVLB not ESTO.
    then Goto IE02 in the structure tab ---> click change installation location and install the functional location.

    Hello Experts,
    Could you please advise me how to count a Functional Locations in Plant Maintenance module?
    I would like to find and amount of Functional Locations which are::
    1. Assigned for particular plant
    2. In status Active
    3. In status inactive
    4. In status Deletion flag
    I was trying to perform this by search in table IFLO but there is no way to filter by statuses and I'm not sure if this table is a good place for such query because the amount of FLocs was much more higher than I expected.

    Hi Lukasz
    Indeed you can use IH06 to get Functional Location's List with your classification.
    so, to get the information about the sum of it, I admit there is no a real function to count the Functional Locations, but you can do as follow :
    1. Get The List of your classification with IH06, then
    2. Get the sum of your classification by click on 'Spreadsheet' or press 'Shift + F4' from your keyboard
         (Just like to export the list into spreadsheet)
    3. They will give you the information about the sum of the list you want to export.

    Hi Slng,
    If you wish this Equipment to be installed as Sub-Equipment to another Major Equipment then you need to fill the Equipment ID of that one.
    Else you can leave that field blank and only give Functional Location & continue.

  • PM:  Transaction IE02 functional location change creates new EQUZ?

    Everytime we execute transaction IE02 and change the functional location, it apparently creates a new EQUZ record (new valid from date).  There is a scenario where we do NOT want this to happen.  In other words, we have an equipment, say EQ123.  We want this equipment to have one history record per a cycle that might include several changes in the functional location.  When the cycle is complete, then we can create a new history (EQUZ) record.  That cycle might be warehouse departure to warehouse return.
    Is this possible.  If so, can it be configured or done so that this only applies to a certain set of equipment (say equipment belonging to plant PXYZ)?

    I hope I understood your requirement clearly. Usage history is mainly maintained in the ILOA and EQUZ tables together. So when u look up a usage list, data is retrieved from these two tables together. Now, there is a provision in customization to specify which field values if changed should appear as a history update. For instance, as u said if the functional location changes it should not be logged in the history. Whereas if the equipment steps out of the warehouse or returns there should be an update to its history. The following is the path in IMG to achieve this:
    SAP Customizing Implementation Guide--> Plant Maintenance and Customer Service --> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service --> Technical Objects --> Equipment --> Equipment Usage Period --> Define History-Related Fields

    Suppose a particular equipment had undergone several dismantlings under various Functional location/Equipments and presently it is not installed anywhere.
    Such equipments can be searched through AVLB system status in IH08.
    Go to the Master data of any such equipment and in the Menubar Extras-->Usagelist will give you the information you wanted in ALV format.

  • Deletion flag at functional location - equipment installation sallowed

    Small question, when we set deletion flag at functional location we can still instal equipment in transaction IE02. Is it possible to configure LF in such way that after setting delation flag or inactivation FL equipment installation shouldn't be allowed??
    We wanted to do it by user status but we can't.

    Try using user exit IEQM0001 and write a custom code, not to allow equipment being installed in deleted / inactive function location.
