Signig PDF forms on a tablet

I have the free Adobe Reader XI and in my PDF forms, my clients have to double tap the tablet screen to sign. It becomes difficult for those that lift their fingers off during a signature. Is there a version or trick that would make the signature a more fluid/easy way to sign? Thank you!

Hi;
Are you using iOS or Android tablets or Windows tablets?
Thanks,
Josh

  • Need Merging PDF forms in Android Tablet (with a twist!)

    Hi guys I was wondering if there is anyway to Merge PDF documents in a Android app and keep the repeating information in forms intact. Let me explain. I have a regular form which cilents fill out but some times another form needs to be filled out also which have the repeating fields like name, date of birth, etc. I know that it is possible to do it in in Acrobat X Pro where you combine two PDF documents and as long as the form field is the same name or copied and pasted in the two seperate PDFs , information repeats itself automatically. However I was wondering if there is a way to do this on an android tablet (Motorola Xoom for me). I have tried apps that merge 2 seperate documents however the information from those that would normally repeat in Acrobat X on a regular computer does not do so in PDF merging apps I tried. I normally use qPDF and ezpdfreader but they don't seem to have a merging of two documents option (Or i don't know/can't find one). So any help? Any useful app I don't know about that can some my dilemia? Thanks ahead !

    Hi,
    i know this is rather late, but based on what I've read online, it seems your issue is common among pdf form apps on the Android. From what i hear, qPDF Notes works well, but doesn't allow calculations.  My guess is that the app developer hasn't loaded/programmed the necessary scripts in order to achieve calculations.

  • I have Adobe Creative Cloud.  How do I edit a PDF form I created at work and e-mailed to my home tablet?

    I have Adobe Creative Cloud.  How do I edit a PDF form I created at work and e-mailed to my home tablet?

    Hi Val,
    I see! Please see this thread: Is FormsCentral part of the Creative Cloud?
    Creative Cloud doesn't include FormsCentral, which is why you're being prompted to upgrade. (An Acrobat Pro subscription, on the other hand, does include FormsCentral.)

  • How to fill up pdf forms & sign pdf contracts using digitizer pen & tablet?

    Greetings,
    I travel a lot and bring tons of documents for clients to sign. As I am trying to cut down on travel weight, i fancied upon the idea of using a digitizer such as the Genius EasyPen i405 to fill up pdf forms and sign contracts so i wouldnt have to scan, save and email the forms back to the office thousands of miles away. I would like to know if it is possble to do that using such a device. If its possible, how? I use acrobat X. Any advise you can give would be greatly appreciated. Hope to hear from you soonest. Thank you.

    Thanks for your response jallisy. I just thought about this because i read somewhere that the pen acts like a mouse cursor when you move it around the digitizer. I figured the pen could act as a mouse while the digitizer could act as a mouse pad, as such the size doesnt really matter, considering you need to press a button on the pen to engage the digital ink and you use the computer screen as your guide. I havent really tried one but am just starting to explore the idea as tablets like the Ipad are now allowing users to fill up forms and sign pdfs with a finger or a capacitive pen. Youtube offers all these interesting pdf signing and editing with the Ipad. I just really dont want an Ipad. I still think a solution is just around the corner. But i am not willing to buy an expensive tablet with limited storage and productivity features over a real laptop.
    The genius site for the pen stated that i can sign microsof office docs but no pdf was mentioned. I guess they have a special software for that but the people at genius havent gotten back to me yet. Another way i was thinking about was converting all the pdfs to word, sign the word document and then save as a pdf again ... the document is prone to be edited though and formats could be accidentally changed so was really thinking about doing this directly with a PDF instead.

  • How can I erase a full page of comments on a PDF Form I made all at once. (the comments)

    I work for a Hvac Company and we make these Material lists in PDF form. I put these lists in a dropbox and they export it to there tablets. When they edit the list and email it back to me its saved on there tablet and they have to delete the one on there tablet and export a new one. They have to do this many times and it gets to tedious and time consuming. Is there a way for them to delete the whole page before it gets automaticly saved or to stop it from auto saving when they close it out. Or to keep an original copy on there tablet that wont be saved over?

    If someone wants to send a PDF file via email it has to be saved first.
    To delete comments in the desktop version of Adobe Reader, just select them all in the Comments panel and press Delete. That feature isn't available in the mobile apps.

  • PDF Forms on Adobe Acrobat for Android

    So I created a PDF form and the I loaded it on my android tablet.  I filled out some of the fields and close it to fill it the reset of the fields at a later time.  When I re-open the PDF, all my information that I already filled in is there but I can no longer access the fields and fill in the rest of the form. If I load that PDF on my computer, the fields are all accessable but on any android device they are not.
    Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

    This should not be happening. Is the form one that you can share with the dev team to look at?
    If so, send it to [email protected] with an explantion of the problem. We may be able to identify the issue and fix it in a future update.

  • PDF Forms on Adobe Reader Touch - missing content

    Dear community
    I created a set of PDF-forms for a survey which will be conducted using tablets (Win 8.1). First part of the form shows old data entries in text form fields, second part is for the actual filling of updated data. Adobe Reader (and any other application, no matter what system) don't have any problems showing the forms with all its content. Only in Adobe Reader Touch (and other "App"-versions of PDF readers) the form fields in which the old data is supposed to be, stay blank. Filling, however, works fine.
    I really want to make use of the amenities of the Touch-version of the reader for the survey (simple, full screen, etc.), but for that I need the forms running of course. Any suggestions?
    The forms were created with LibreOffice Base.

    We are working constantly to enhance our Reader on this platform. Your feedback will help us prioritize this enhancement better. Thanks for taking the time to post to the forum.

  • Signing a PDF Form

    I would like to create a PDF form that my service technicians can use in the field to report service tickets. The tech will need the customer to sign the form. How can I do this with Acrobat Pro X without any additional software?
    The techs will be using Asus Eee tablets with digitizer stylus, which will be used to sign. The tablet will only have Acrobat Reader X installed.

    Sorry about that, I assumed it was the Android version. Adobe Reader should work just fine then, assuming that signing with the pencil tool is sufficient. This is the same as the "Apply Ink Signature" tool. The document will just need to be Reader-enabled.

  • Can I convert a purchased epub doc to pdf form for commenting?

    I bought a book with the purpose of commenting/highlighting on a large-screen PC rather than a tablet.  The sample it allowed me to download was in PDF form, & allowed me to highlight & comment, so I went ahead & bought it.
    However, the purchased product is in ePub format, and does not allow commenting & highlighting.  Is there a way I can convert from ePub to PDF so I can achieve my original purpose?  (I doubt I'll get a refund....)

    Try emptying the Temp folder. Are you using PDF Maker (not sure that is available for Publisher) or the MS plugin? If PDF Maker, try turning off the tags and reducing the amount of bookmarks needed to a minimum. As an alternative, simply print to the Adobe PDF printer -- will typically give a smaller file and not run into these creation problems for large document, but you will not get bookmarks or such in the conversion process.

  • PDF FORM - GPS INPUT

    I am making a pdf form using acrobat XI on a mac (OS 10.6) and want to have a button to press that will input GPS co-ords into form fields, derived from the device (tablet, android, idevice)
    Someone else asked the same question in a forum, got the following javascript, and a number of people commented that it worked fine on all devices, and yet i get SyntaxError 4: line 5.
    Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?
    Code is:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function getLocationConstant()
       if(navigator.geolocation)
      navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(onGeoSuccess,onGeoError);
       } else {
      alert("Your browser or device doesn't support Geolocation");
    // If we have a successful location update
    function onGeoSuccess(event)
      document.getElementById("Latitude").value =  event.coords.latitude;
      document.getElementById("Longitude").value = event.coords.longitude;
    // If something has gone wrong with the geolocation request
    function onGeoError(event)
      alert("Error code " + event.code + ". " + event.message);
    </script>
    <br><br>
    <cfform action="gps2.cfm" method="post">
    Latitude: <input type="text" id="Latitude" name="Latitude" value="">
    <br><br>
    Longitude: <input type="text" id="Longitude" name="Longitude" value="">
    <br><br>
    <input type="button" value="Get Location" onclick="getLocationConstant()"/>
    <br><br>
    <input type="submit" value="Add GPS Location" class=small>
    </cfform>
    I'm guessing it's some kind of XML issue but i have no program language experience at all !!!
    Thanks in advance

    That code is not for use in a PDF form, but rather an HTML form in a browser. I don't know of any PDF viewers on any device that supports this type of thing.

  • Anyone Know How To Capture Digital Ink Signatures, Within  a PDF Form?

    Anyone know of software (preferably freeware) that can be used in adobe pro 8, which will allow a user, using a tablet PC, to capture digital ink signatures, within a PDF form?

    http://www.topazsystems.com/
    Topaz has a plugin that can be used for developement purposes for free.  Requires you pay for a license if you are going to use it for production.  Check under the applications section.

  • Using LiveCycle forms with a Tablet PC

    I developed a large PDF form created in designer for use on a Fujitsu Lifebook Tablet PC. The users are selecting a dropdownlist with the digitized pen(stylus), and immediately the dropdownlist does not select anything, then when the user clicks it a second time, the value is selected. Any thoughts on why this is happening? Is this a Windows Tablet PC Edition issue? A video card issue? An Adobe Reader issue? Anyone else using Tablet PC's for forms?
    Many Thanks,
    Troye

    Hi Troye,
    Please let me know when you hear something on this. I'm just starting to design PDF forms for tablet PCs (we use xPlore units) and hope to not encounter the same problem!
    Thanks,

  • PDF forms filled with IOS device

    Hi, we usually distribute pdf forms to be used via iPad. Actually we manually collect forms with Adobe X pro; Could we use formcentral to collect automatically forms which has been completed and sent via iPad?
    Thank you very much in advance
    Best regards

    Lorenzo,
    Forms created using FormsCentral are HTML based.  Users "fill out" the form using their web browser of choice.  The replies are collected by the FormsCentral server.  This workflow works with desktop PCs, smartphones, and tablets.

  • Simple PDF Form Signatures

    Hi all,
    My client has a requirement to capture a simple handwritten signature on a PDF form whenever they use the form with one of their customers.
    They have a tablet pen with their laptops and just want the signature on the form as the image and left there (not converting into text or digital signatures etc).
    Is this possible without getting into Digital Signatures/Certificates etc?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Kind regards
    David

    Yes it does since there are no longer fields present, so your system would be a reason not to use it.
    The pencil tool will create a type of comment that can easily be move, resized, and deleted, but can later be flattened using Acrobat. This might be sufficient for your needs and the fields will remain intact.
