    On Firefox 4, how can I put one "new tab" on the "tab bar" (The + sign) and one next to the "back/forward" buttons (as in FF 3.6)?
    In my current Firefox, the "new tab" icon/item from the "customize" pop-up window menu of items is placed next to my home, back, forward buttons near the top-left of my header (Button 1 for "new tab"). Then, the tab bar automatically come with a small tab (with a + sign) to the right of your last tab opened (so you click on + and a new tab opens. Button 2 for "new tab"). I like to have this "new tab" button twice (as a + mini tab, and next to my "home icon".
    When I upgraded to Firefox 4, I seemed to be only able to "customize" or use the "new tab" in one place. Either as an icon next to home button, or as a "+ minitab", but NOT both.
    What can I do to put this button in Firefox 4 on BOTH places???
    Your help is really appreciated. I want to upgrade, but I want my buttons on both places...
    I upgraded to FF 4, but downgraded again just because this feature... that's just me of coarse :-)

  • Using separate_frame=true and trying to close the applet window after...

    We are using separate_frame=true and trying to close the applet window (the one with the large gray box) after using the following post-form trigger:
    if :system.last_form = 0 then
         message('Please wait while Forms closes - '||:system.last_form);
         web.show_document('/forms/html/close.htm','_self');
    end if;
    This works fine for the first form we open, but if that same form using Open_Form to open a child form we have a problem. When the child form is closed the user is returned to the parent calling form (which is expected), but then when the parent form is closed the separate applet window fails to close. Any suggestions?

    I guess you mis-interpreted the value of :SYSTEM.LAST_FORM. From the online-help:
    SYSTEM.LAST_FORM represents the form document ID of the previous form in a multi-form application, where multiple forms have been invoked using OPEN_FORM.So LAST_FORM shows always the ID of the last activated form, and this will never be 0 if you issued one OPEN_FORM in your application.

    Is this using the "Fill & Sign" tab of https://cloud.acrobat.com/fillsign (for now text input is only black) or maybe using the Fill & Sign tool in Adobe Reader XI, or another application?

  • MDM Record Check out and Check in from the Portal

    Hi everybody,
    I'm trying to figure out what is the standard way to trigger the Check out and Check in from the Portal.
    How do I need to configure the MDM workflows and the Portal, so the standard Item Details iView would automatically check out the record when the Edit button is pressed.
    Do I need to configure Guided Procedures or UWL on the Portal or can I avoid that?
    Thanks for your help in advance,
    Boris

    Hi Boris,
    When we connect MDM to a front end system like Portal,the portal will replicate all teh functionalities of the backend sytem from the front end as in this case in EP.
    But when we maintain Master data form the MDM Data Manager we get a lot of options in the context menu ,when we right click a record in the record pane.
    All of these cannot be made available on the portal,but however the feature of Checkout can be made possible if you try to update the record  through a MDM workflow.
    As in MDM workflow you have to option of Checking ou the record at the beginning of the Uddate and then checking in back at the completion of the record update.
    For this you can use the MDM workflows and integrate it through EP using UWL.
    Kindly refer some additional docs which will guide you in the configuration of the same:

    Hope It Helped

    How can I know about the latest updates / versions which when available for all the CC products, without having to install and check it with the Desktoip Creative Cloud Application ?

    Thanks for looking into this Jeff!
    I work with an Inventory module software and is responsible for software detection across several computers. Once an updated version comes up, I update our database with latest software details to get it detected if installed on any machines.
    The problem tracking updates with Desktop Creative Cloud Software are;
    1)We have to have it installed with the CC applications in-order to get the notification of the latest updates and have to check everyday.
    2)Only relates to the latest updates, so in-between we may miss a prior update unknowingly.Hence, the remote machines having those updates may not get  detected with the software version update which would create problem in reporting.
    3)For all CC products, there is no base or previous updates available for installation if we miss one.
    I went through the Adobe Products Update pages [Product updates] which holds good when it comes to Acrobat and Reader software which I follow to track down any newer updates but this is inconsistent when it comes to CC products like in After Effects CC, Dreamweaver CC etc...
    So overall to be very specific, is there any one channel I can follow to get the notifications only for the updates on CC products and then may be I can rely on Desktop Creative Cloud for installation if not available anywhere like in product update pages of Adobe ?

  • Will this app allow me to draw on the slides in the middle of presentation?  Also can I fill out a contract and get signature at the end?

    Will this app allow me to make a new slide in the middle of presentation?  Also can I fill out a contract and get signature at the end?

    IF youre talking about Keynote, I dont think any of the presentation software options allow you to "Add a slide" during a presentation.
    Since your posting this in the iOS folder of the forums, we can assume further that you are using an iPad or iPhone as the presentation device. In that case, if you tap and hold on a slide during a presentation, you are offered a pen pallete that you can draw on the slides with, but once you hit "Done", it disapears.
    As for the Contract, again nothing i know of allows you to do that directly from within the presenation.

    Going by your profile your Mac has v10.5.8 installed. That is the most recent version available for Leopard.
    You may be able to upgrade to v10.6 Snow Leopard >  Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard - Technical Specifications
    Snow Leopard is available for purchase from the Apple online store > Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.)
    With Snow Leopard installed, iTunes would be updated for you.

  • MacBook pro boots to prohibited sign and apple has replaced the Hard drive and it's still didnt fix. They want to replace the hard drive AGAIN?!

    I've had this issue for almost a month now, and they have tried multiple things to fix it from software re-installs to wiping the drive and they replaced the hard drive and cable but now that it is still not working they are suggesting installing another hard drive after it clearly didn't work the last time they replaced it. Help! I've contacted customer relations and the only thing she told me over and over is that they are working diligently to fix it. I'm a music teacher and that is currently the only computer i have and I use July to prep all my lesson plans and music. School starts august 18th and I feel like I'll be back in the store with the same problem again right when school starts. Any suggestions, ill probably be writing a letter very soon, any other suggestions?
    Btw I have tried not backing up from time machine to rule out the possibility of something of mine corrupting it and it still did it.
    Thanks for your help apple community!

    Wholly Crap, No Joke, the lady from the apple store called me up at like 5pm and said "You know what?" and my reply was....... "what" and she goes, "You've been very patient and we understand you've been in and out in the last 3 weeks so we've decided to just give you a brand new computer" She gave me a brand new MBP! SO FREAKIN STOKED, my 2008 macbook pro for a new 2011 2.2ghz with 4 gigs of memory (Upgradeable to 8!!) The only downside is that since I use this for recording audio with Pro Tools well as recording audio with Pro Tools I needed the 7200rpm drive like my last one, and with her eyes i felt the "Beggars Cant be choosy" look flow upon me. But I shrugged it off and She actually told me to take this one, use it for the next week while the one she is ordering for me comes in!! So Bottom line IMHO (first time i've ever used that acronym in a forum) Apple Definitely has some awesome customer service!!

  • Help with how to read and write files to the applets server

    I am writing a form that requires some data to be written serverside(not on the host machine) and I also need to be able to read from those same files.
    Can anyone provide any help?
    I looked into signing but it seems, to me, that signing is for when you are going to be modifying files on the host...

    brianb7590 wrote:
    Would I use that to refer to the file like I would with a regular application?Nope. It's pretty complicated. You've got to set something up on the server to accept requests, get all the data and then save files somewhere and on the client side you've got to make the connection and send the data.

  • Self Signing and Applets

    I have spent hours reading over the Signed Applets forum and Sun applet security training pages. There seems to be so much confusion in this area that the use and proliferation of Java Applets must be suffering.
    As the usual underfunded developer, I am not able to buy a certificate before proving the concept. Therefore, I am relegated to using self signed applets to demonstrate the use of signed applets and the power they have. This would also be the case for students of Java applets, of which I am also one.
    I have tried the sample applets in the Sun security training. They in fact write the file to my system, but they also display a security error as well.
    The Sun training indicates that I should be using a policy file with the security and that when my applet is run by another user, that user must also manually update their policy file, using keytool, before running the applet. If this is true, I see no use for Java Applets that work outside of the sandbox confines. There must be a better way to use applets that require security.
    I have also read Irene's 10 steps and numerous comments about them. They seem to work fine until I get to step 10. If I am using a self signed applet, why should the user of the applet have to click on a HREF to load the certificate into the keystore? Why shouldn't the user be prompted to trust the self signed certificate, just like a certificate obtained from a CA?
    I have tried to develop a batch file (Windows NT 4.0) to illustrate the signing process, but I have been unsuccessful. I have listed the output from it below followed by the batch file itself. Would someone please indicate what would make this batch file work? If possible, I would like it to work for both IE 5.5 and Netscape 4.06; especially ie 5.5.

  • How to generate single signature for code signing and timestamp

    Hi we are developing Win 7 VC++ app using Crypto APIs.
    Here code signing is done using Cryptsignhash() method, that generates the signature. Later for time stamping CryptRetriveTimestamp() method is used which also generate the time stamp signature. Thus we wanted to know
    whether there is any single Crypto API available that can do code signing and timestamping together and shall generate single signature. At verification side it should be also possible to separate code signing and timestamp signatures prior to verification.
    Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks.

    No. Normally, you don't counter-sign the actual data - you counter-sign and time stamp your signature. You don't want to transmit the whole data (which could be a) large and b) confidential) to a third party. This is why it's a two step process.

    Hi all,
    After reversing payment and check via FB08 , the payment method stored in payment document is cleared.
    does anyone know that why the payment method in the payment docuemnt is cleared after reversing the document ? and where can I chase back the payment method ? Thanks

    Hi Sreehari,
    Thanks for your reply. The configuration you mentioned have already been set. The payment method can be determined by vendor master when creating invoice and the payment method can also be stored in the field "payment method" in payment document. But the problem is the value of the filed "payment method" in payment document will be cleared after reversing the payment and cheque. As a result, we can't chase back the payment method in the reversed payment document.
