Signing in all the time with username
how can i change the setting on the sign in screen? i have to keep signing in all the time if i stop working for like 3 minutes. i tried to fix it, but no luck
Hi,
Open windows Control Panel, open Personalization, click the Screen Saver link in the bottom right and in the following window adjust the 'Wait' time to a more acceptable figure and remove the tick from the box next to 'On resume, display log-on screen'. Click Apply, then Ok to save this setting.

DP-K

10.0.01 version doesn't sign-in automatically... i look up password manager, it seems to it saves usernames and passwords, when i try to visit that website i am not automatically signed in and when i reopen mozilla it keeps on asking main password to sign-in all the time... it happened after mozilla updated itself... please help about it.. (i dont have problems like this in Opera browser)
mozilla fills user name when i click but after that it asks for main password (whats the purpose of remembering passwords if it will ask for main password)
by the way main password for password manager is of course useful but it şs useful whenever i want to use it not all the time i open mozilla .
and not all the time i open a website or forum which i often use...
there were no problems before it updated itself...
please tell me the solutionmy problem is not related with using main password or not...
in former versions of firefox i was automatically signed in to websites without any click... it wasnt asking me to sign-in (because my usernames and passwords were remembered-and saved in password manager)
in this version they are remembered again but i have to write first 2-3 letters of my username and it remembers my username then it remembers password...
for example when i clicked twitter.com my account and my homepage as automatically opened, but in this version when i click twitter.com it opens the sign-in page and i write first 2 letters of my user name it remembers name and password and then i signin
(difference i was at where i want to sign in with one click--- but in new version 1click for webpage-1 click for clicking to username are-1-2 letter writing to find my user name-1 click to remember password-1 click to sign in) an addition: also if i am using main password i am entering main password and click to sign-in
This can be little problem to u, but it is really annoying problem, 9-10 clicks more for each webpage which i wanted mozilla to remember my usernames and passwords... it also asks main password if i am using...
if i want to visit 5-6 different websites it means 70-80 clicks more and 50-60 letters typing according to your main password .. (in opera and mozillas former versions it is just 5-6 clicks)
so main problem is the cookies were remembered in all the sessions but after it updated to v.10.0.1 expiry date of cookies of same websites that i visit are just for one session... it is not related with the websites and their servers that i visit because if so how can Opera remembers all the time... -
How can I stay on the Support communities with out signing in all the time?
How can I stay on the Support Communities without signing in all the time?
ThanksYou will be signed out as soon as you quit the browser, or within around 5-10 minutes of closing the window. The only way to stay signed in is to keep a window open all the time, either working in other tabs, or minimizing it and then going on with something else in a new window. It's a pest, but that's the way it is.

Why with the new update of iTunes to 12.0.1 do i have to sign in all the time? Before it would stay on my IMac until I decided to logout. Now every time i shut down the mac it is always asking for my password is there anyway to turn this feature on or off? It's annoying because I am the only one using this computer and one who hates to sign in all the time and I never signed out. It very frustrating to me that they are making us sign in all the time now when before it was only if we signed out. Anyone knows how to fix this problem? I have my password in the in my preference in my privacy section in safari and shows me my password but does not put it into sign in screen for iTunes. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you all for your help.
ps. I am using the new Yosemite software 10.10Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details.

Having problems with ipad mini and Siri. Works sporadically, will work once and then the second time not. Worked all the time with the original Mailbox app. Then started doing the same thing when I installed the new update so wondering if it is software?
Hi,
I have the check box on a second Partition but not on the Time Machine one
I forget what I did now to get this called "Recovery HD"
For the rest try https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4055 User Tip that links to Pondini's work on Time Machine.

I have a Time Capsule on which I back up 2 MacBooks and on my wife's machine she keeps having Airport Utility popping up all the time with a yellow button flashing on the left and a Red button on the right side with a "1" in the middle of it. Can any one tell me what is wrong. I read where when the yellow light was flashing there was a problem, but I am a novice at this and have no idea where to turn. It seems to be backing up on a regular basis.
On the Mac......
Open up Macintosh HD > Applicatons > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the Time Capsule icon, then click Edit in the small window that appears
Click the Network tab at the top of the next window
Change the setting for Router Mode from the current DHCP and NAT to read Off (Bridge Mode), then click Update at the lower right of the window, and wait a full minute for the Time Capsule to restart to a green light.
Then.....very important
Power off the Time Capsule and your Arris modem/router for a few minutes
Start up the Arris first, and let it run a few minutes by itself
Start up the Time Capsule next the same way
Your network will now be correct, and your printing capabilities will improve.
If Time Machine backups do not occur now, post back and we will tackle that next. -
Hello! I have a huge question about how can I get connected my iphone 4 with my car Is there any opption on find my car application? I have a Volvo xc60 and I want to be connected all the time with my iphone. Can I do that?
Hello. I can say that you have a quite strange „huge question”… It’s non-sense to stay connected with your car which is hundreds miles away. Unless…
I have a theory. You don’t want to controll your car, you want to controll somebody who is driving the car. Volvo XC 60 is a nice family car, usually used by married men between age of 35-45, probably with small children, so it’s very unlikely that you want to controll your teanage kid, mainly because probably even if you would give him/her to drive the car in the neighborhoud, I don’t think that he/she would be „several hundred miles away”… If your child is not young teneage anymore, and he/she has his/her own life, but you want to control him/her, that is sick… So I am convinced that you want to controll your husband who probably travelling often! Am I wright?
Isnt’t nice at all! Would you like if you would be monitorized in such way? I bet you don’t!
Anyway, iPhone is smart, you can use for many things, but come on, you really were thinking that there is such kind of application???
What could you do it's to put in the car a GPS survelling system, however I don't think that you could do it without your husband knowledge, otherwise he won't be able to start the engine... -
Logic pro 9.1.7 crashes all the time with OSX 10.7.3
Dear all
Since more or less 7 days my logic pro 9.1.7 crashes all the time. Is there a known bug with logic and the latest OSX?
According to the fact that I have
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000
I am a little worried about possible hardware issues. Does somebody have an idea?
Cheers
-Marc

5Hi
I confirm that your are right:
Since 10.7.3 uses a newer version of 'ProKit'.
Version 7 won't install.
Maybe I found a workaround:
Curently I am running Logic in 64-bit mode. In my project (36 tracks) I was removing all the plug-in's and re-instanciate them (**** of a waste of time).... since then I did not have any crash.
I also found a issue with iZotope Products that use iLok. I am using iZotope Alloy as well as Ozone 5 advanced, Stutter Edit and Vinyl. All iZotope products produce memory errors that can be seen in the console. The only iZotope product that is running fine is Vinyl... and that plug-in is free and has no iLok security check.
That is the statement of iZotope Customer Service:
1.) Go to the following folder:
(Macintosh HD)/Library/Application Support/iZotope/Alloy
2.) Delete "AuthAssistant.bundle" from that folder.
It is rare, but occasionally this package (which interfaces Alloy with iLok drivers) becomes corrupted on some systems. If you use iLok you will need to use Challenge/Response authorization, but deleting this may prevent instability.
Hope that helps
Cheers
-Marc
PS: I would have deleted the unnecessary error stuff to make it more readable... but I didn't fgure out how to change a posted message. Sorry. -
In SM50 UP2 Running all the time with report SAPLNDE_ASSET_MASTER_UPDATE
Dear all,
I've this strange situation. After the restart of the appliacation and DB instance in SM50 the 2 UP2 WPs are all the time running on Report / Spool action : SAPLNDE_ASSET_MASTER_UPDATE and the main program is RSM13000. Action is Sequential read from table ANEK.
There is no Background process running or DIA. Tablespaces are all OK. And there is no any short dump.
We use Oracle 10.2.0.4 on HP-UX 11.31 , ECC 6.0.
Does anyone knows what is the problem? Why this WP UP2 are all the time used by this report (but with very short time it starts many many times in a cycle)?
Thank you in advance.
BR,
RuzicaHi,
Please check for lock entries in SM12 for the mentioned table. Ideally there should be no table entries older than 24 hours.
Probably, you have an OLD active background job.
You may also try activating trace and see if it helps.

How can I maintain my calendar in my iphone 5. Because all the times that I charge it the calendar is in blank and I have to turn it off in the Ajustes and I have to turn it on again and fusionate wiht icloud, but to do this all the time...... really???

Thank YouWell, two thoughts.
The battery has completely discharged and will take overnight to recharge, so don't expect much in an hour.
The battery has deep discharged and is now dead. It will never recharge and should be replaced.
If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:
Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 or visit online Help for more information.
To contact product and tech support: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers.

There are third-party firms that do repairs on iDevices, and there are places where you can order parts to DIY if you feel up to the task. Start with Google to search for these.
The flat fee for a battery exchange is, I believe, $99.00 USD. -
Why can't I get online all the time with my iPad?
Sometimes when I open my iPad2, I click on an app that needs to be online to be accessed, and nothing happens. I have to turn off, then on again my WiFi. Why am I not able to access the internet all the time. WiFi at home works fine with my MacBook Air all the time.
No firewall. My office is in my home. The iPad is on my desk right next to he Netgear router. Router is only 6 months old.
Sometimes I can open iPad and get online right away. Other times my apps won't update, and I have to turn wifi off, then on again. This is a ROYAL pain! My Air works great as does everyone else's laptop who visits me.
I am a hug Apple fan, so this is stumping me. -

The BB is brand new, only 2 weeks old, last week I played the first song and it froze a little every 30 minutes. Now it freezes all the time.
When I bought it the battery lasted 12 hours, now it is down to 3 hours. I removed settings that use up battery power ie. no vibration, low volume, no email notification, I go online quick and close the browser.
1. Why does it freeze?
2. Is 3-4 hours battery life normal? When I got to bed, I charge it fully. I wake up 4 hours later and the battery power is gone (without usage).

Safari crashes all the time with IOS 7
On all my IOS devices (iPad mini, iPhone 5S and iPad 4th generation) Safari crashes regularly, most of the time when web sites that are accessed from email are being viewed. These could be from Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail or less frequently, iCloud mail. Has anyone else had problems with web sites that are loaded from emails? Any suggestions?
There is no pattern to the mails; they could be anything from MacWorld articles to Travelzoo promotions. Typically the crash occurs when moving from the initial web page to a linked page. I do have less of a problem with sites that are delivered to my Apple mailbox. My devices are all 32GB models with plenty of memory still available. The problem has become worse with recent upgrades to IOS (I always upgrade to the latest version as soon as it is available. Restarts do not appear to resolve the problem. I am not a technical person but I suspect it is a bug in IOS safari.
This is my first post to this system so I hope I have given sufficient information.Wait for them to update it so it is compatible for your iPad (iPad Air or iPad Mini Retina). Many things could cause a crash on an app. Have you closed all other apps? Double press home button and swipe the app screen shot up until they're all gone.
