Signing in on my ipod

On you ipod touch (any generation), when you want to put an app on your ipod, you have to sign in to your itunes account (Window appears when you touch the buy app button). In the window you have to type in the username (Uusually your email address) & password.
On my ipod, my username already appears when i wanted to sign in to get an app & all i had to do was type my password in (Convenient). However, i had recently changed my email address (This meant that i had to change my username aswell, & i did), i cant change my old email that appears when the window comes up.
I have been successful at signing in on my computer but not with the ipod. Can anyone help me.

Open itunes on your computer and make sure you are signed out. Sync your touch and this should clear any login info. Now when you try to download an app or a song on your touch it will ask you for both username and password. Enter your new login info and you should be fine.

  • Youtube sign in problem with Ipod touch 4

    Hi,
When i am trying to sign in the app Youtube on Ipod touch 4, after i enter correctly my Youtube username and password it said "U must sign in to Youtube's website to continue " . Then i click on sign in , it takes me to safari youtube website, i enter my youtube and password again. Then it just openned my account in the web but not the YouTube APP . So basically with the Youtube APP, i cant do anything with my youtube account. Can you give me some thanks what is wrong with it ??
    Thanks

I was having the same problem. The solution is for the user name, make it your gmail address, @gmail.com
so [email protected] should be the user name
    that worked for me.

  • I made a new apple account and signed in on my ipod. But now I can't buy any in-app purchases.

It says 'Your purchase could not be completed' And then 'Failed to connect to itunes store' What should I do? I have tried re installing the app and restarting the  ipod. Syncing it with the right itunes account. Everything. Considering a restore but from threads with similar problems that doesn't work. I have waited a long time for this in-app purchase and have gone through a llot to try and get it -_- The app is 'Bloons Tower Defence 5' If that helps.

    OR...
You could use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?

  • Would you think these are signs of a dead iPod battery?

Sorry to direct you all elsewhere to read the entire dealie, but... um,... please PLEASE help? Does this really sound like a fried battery problem? or what other problem do you think this is?

No. Your iPhone is not defective. The only issue is that your battery is not fully conditioned. To condition your battery, simply recharge the iPhone to 100% and remove the USB cord and let it drain to 0% and then recharge it back to 100%. This completes 1 Charge Cycle. If the battery still drains, repeat the process until the battery is fully conditioned, but I don't recommend that you discharge it more than 2 times after the first calibration. You might destroy your battery's health.
No you will not destroy your battery's health by discharging it more than 2 times. Whoever told you that is wrong. The only thing it will do is add up the charge cycles faster. Lithium Ion batteries do not hold memory like the NiCd batteries used to and can take a full charge or small charge the same. No where on the site you quoted does it say you might destroy your battery's health after 2 full cycle charges. I wish people like you would stop pushing bad information like that.

Use that iD to sign and use the iPod.
You can go to Settings>iTunes and App stores and change the ID for purchases. The ID is also used in Settings>FaceTime, Setting>iCloud, Settings>Messages>Send abd receive and Settings>Game Center and can ne changed in those locations.

  • My iPod Touch will no longer charge from a wall socket, only my computer. HELP!

My 4th generation iPod Touch will no longer charge from a wall socket, only my computer. I tried buying a new cable and USB charging socket (and I bought one made by Apple), but that did not fix the problem. I restored it from iTunes, hoping that would work as well, but that failed. I am at my wit's end. Can anybody here help me? I've bought new equipment, tried rebooting, restoring, etc. but nothing so far has proven successful. If anyone's got a solution, please help!
    Thanks!

All I can suggest is the standared fixes. It seems very strange
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Bring the cable and Apple wall charger too.

  • I have an ipod touch and I am not able to use any money on my accounts because it is telling me the security code is wrong. Can anyone tell me what I can do?

I am not able to purchase any upgrades on my Ipod, music, movies, videos, or anything because it says my security code is invalid. I am not sure if I am using the wrong numbers or if there is something wrong with my account. I have tried to change my apple Id and my password.  Other times I am able to sign on to my Ipod with my user ID and password to do an update and it says there is a billing problem with a previous purchase. then you can tap continue and view further info, and when I do this it takes me to my account settings page with the info that I originally set up my Ipod with. I no longer have that same credit card and would like to remove it from account and update with a new one, but have not been sucessful in doing this by using my Ipod. Can I do this online somewhere? Can anyone help me out?

    Try here:
iTunes Store: My credit card's security code or zip code does not match my bank's records
    Then try contacting iTunes

  • I have a mac pro, an ipad2 and now an ipod touch. Problem is my apple ID password is not recognized, and I cannot download or purchase applications. I have had to keep changing my password than it doesn't accept the new one either??? It says it's a year o

I just bought an ipod touch and am trying to make an application purchase on it and to use icloud to transfer to my ipad or laptop.
I cannot sign in.  the password is never accepted. How do I get into applications to purchase or download some of what I have on my ipad?
This sign in on the ipod touch has the address computerservice1614.com  I don't even know what that is.  I signed in with my apple ID but had to keep changing the password because the ipod won't accept any of them.  I am feeling so frustrated and wishing I didn't buy the ipod.  Anyone know how to deal with this.  I am so tired of trying. This is my second day of trying.

I would restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod on your computer and start over. It appears the iPod is associated with another account.  Any media that came with the iPod does not belong to you and di not transfer with the iPod hardware.

  • IPad is now severely messed up after connecting iPod to its iCloud account, and after switching to that same Apple ID for iMessage/FaceTime

So, it all started with iMessage. FaceTime had similar log in symptoms as well, but I don't really use FaceTime. The best way I can describe it is with this... Paragraph I sent to my friend, describing my dilemma.
iMessage and everything was PERFECT for about a day, then it stopped working suddenly on my iPad. Then it wouldn't work on both. Then I could sign in on my iPod but not my iPad. Then finally I could log in to both. But it deleted the old send and receive email I was using, so everyone I texted would see an email rather than my name. It WOULD NOT let me add the email again, it would refuse to send a verification email to allow it to work, and would finally just say "error". Now it suddenly stopped working on my iPad and it hasn't worked at all for almost 2 days now. Oh and I only receive notifications for VZ Messages on my iPod, not my iPad. All the settings are perfectly in order on my iPad as well, so I have no clue what to do.
Instagram notifications also have appeared to behave as the VZ Messages notifications have. Any ideas? These are all of my top-used apps, and all of their noticatioms are left broken on my iPad after I added my iPod to my iCloud account, and started using my own Apple ID for iMessage and FaceTime.
DO NOT BOTHER GIVING ME THESE LINKS, AS THEY ARE NOT EVEN DESCRIBING THE SAME ISSUE I AM HAVING.
iOS: Troubleshooting FaceTime and iMessage activation
iOS: FaceTime or iMessage is "Unable to verify email because it is in use"
If you didn't receive your Apple ID verification or reset email

  • HT1918 My iPhone and my iPod have different account email addresses, I would like to sync them.  When I try to change (using edit) it reminds me that I already have an account with that name.  I don't need the reminder, I need to change the email address

I used different email addresses when I signed up for my iPod and my iPhone.  I would like to use only ONE email address for both devices.  When I try to edit, it tells me there is already a user with that address (hint:  I know that!).  Does anyone know how to sync two email accounts into one?  Thanks,

When I go into my account settings and try to change my old hotmail address to my current Yahoo! address, it tells me "That email address is already used as an Apple ID."  Yeah, I know that.  I set up the account that I'd really, really, like to have together, but it won't let me go further.  End of activity!  It is trusting that my email account and password are correct b/c it will let me make purchases, etc., so it's not like it is preventing fraud or anything.   Summary:  iPod = Yahoo!, iPhone = hotmail, would like to have both reflect my Yahoo! address.

The only available, signed, iOS, for your iPod, is iOS 7.1. That's why you can't install iOS 6.1.6.

  • "iPod Service Error" plus other issues

Hi, I hope someone can help me.
My iPod is severely malfunctioning. Sometimes, when I turn it on, the screen pops up with a folder and exclamation point. Sometimes it pops up saying "Connect to iTunes to restore". And sometimes it works fine.
I am trying to connect it to iTunes to restore it, and I just installed the newest iTunes but iTunes doesn't recognize the iPod. Windows might or might not recognize the iPod. It recognizes something, but instead of naming that something as the name of my iPod as it usually does, the computer calls it "Removable Disk G". And when I try to update the iPod or restore it with the iPod Updater, a "iPod Service Error" pops up.
I have also noticed that instead of a color "Do not Disconnect" flashing sign on my connected iPod, I have a black-and-white and small Do Not Disconnect sign.
What do I do? Help! Thanks
