Signing in to account
I cant sign in to my account that I just created 2 days ago. I have an email notification of my account being created as well. My account was for a trial of Acrobat., does this make a difference?
It does not make a difference if you want to download a trial. There's only 1 Adobe ID for all transactions on Adobe.com
If you are not able to sign in, try resetting the password and then sign in and check.

Hello!
When I try to sign in to my iTunes account on both my computer, an error pops up saying,
"We could not complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occured (5002)
There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later."
When I trying signing into my account on my iPod, I get a message saying,
"Cannot connect to iTunes store"
I have seen across the internet that this has happened while trying to purchase things, but I can not even sign in!
I have also seen a case just like this, but many, many people were having that problem at the same time.
It seems like right now, only I am having this issue.
I can sign into my mother's iTunes account perfectly fine. ( I was using her account for a while, until I decided to switch to my own)
I have had an apple ID for a while now, but never have used it for iTunes.
I can sign into the "my apple id" website perfectly fine, just not iTunes on my iPod or computer!
I can not even sign into the appstore! (When trying to sign into the app store, it just says an unknown error occured, it doesn't say 5002)
What shall I do?Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Select
/var/log ▹ appstore.log
from the hierarchical list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar. Then select the messages from the last installation or update attempt, starting from the time when you initiated it. If you're not sure when that was, click the Clear Display button in the toolbar of the Console window and then try the installation again.
Copy the messages to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting. -
Cant sign into my account says password id to long even though it is correct

Like I said when I bought my mac in the apples store, iMovie was already included. When it comes time to upgrade it, it won't let me and it says to sign into the account I used to purchase it. But I didn't purchase it, it came along with the computer. How do I get it to upgrade?
Try opening the Mac App Store and go to the Purchases tab. See if you see the preinstalled iMovie App there. You may have to accept it into your Apple ID if you have not done so already. Then it should upgrade.

I just got the new itunes and I can open itunes and see my music but whenI try and go to the itunes store it just loads to a white page. I try and refresh and go to the home page and nothing happens. I can sign into my account and the tabs for the itunes store pop up like they normally would when browsing the itunes store but when I click on one of them, it is a blank page. Is there a setting I need to change? Does it just take an extremely long time to load? Please help!!

I'm having the exact same problem. I upgraded to the newest version of iTunes on my iMac and ever since I did the store is a blank white screen. I can get my library content but the store is a no go. Is there any one out there with a solution? -
Is it possible to re-install itunes and sign in your account without creating a new one?
I cant access my itunes account so I am thinking of un-installing it and re-insalling it. Would I be able to sign in my account using my apple ID instead of creating a new account? thanks in advace

The installation of iTunes has nothing to do with your iTunes account.
Are you unable to access your iTunes account because of a forgotten password? If so, then you can reset it here.
However, if you are unable to access your account for some other reason (disabled, etc), then you may need to contact the iTunes Store Support team

My son got a 5th gen iPod touch today. We have an established Apple ID from my iPhone and we are able to log into it just fine on the new iPod. After a few hours of use, the iPod started asking him to log into an Apple ID account that he doesn't recognize. It appears to be a gmail address of a friend of mine who has never used any of my Apple products. What is going on and how do I stop it? We have to keep hitting 'cancel' every time it comes up. Thanks!
Sounds like apps purchased from those accounts got synced to the iPod and it is asking to log into that account to update them.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
What do yo see if yo go to the Updates Section of the App Store app? -
My dad bought a new retina macbook pro over a year ago.
The pre-installed iPhoto and iMovie applicaitons get this error when trying to download an update:
"to update this application, sign into the account you used to purchase it"
We are logged into the only account that he has ever had.
He has mountain lion.
It's very annoying and there's no way we know of to get around it. Searching and searching online led nowhere.

As requested... You need to use the SAME Apple ID that Originally made the Purchase of whatever Application you are trying to Update. -
I have iPhoto v 9.1.4. Update available is 9.4.3. I keep getting this message: "You have updates available for other accounts. To update this application, sign into the account you used to purchase it". I have done this and I keep getting the same message over and over again. Please help me!
Please try each of the following steps you haven't already taken, until the issue is resolved. After each step, relaunch the App Store and try again.
1. Follow the instructions in this Apple Support article.
2. If any App Store purchases were made under a different Apple ID, or if the bundled iLife applications were accepted under a different ID, sign in to the App Store with that ID to update.
3. Alternatively, delete the probem applications and re-download them with the ID you're using now. If you haven't already purchased them with that ID, you'll have to do that first, because purchases can't be transferred from one account to another.
4. Select the Purchased tab in the App Store window. If you see an item in the list marked "You have 3 apps to accept," click Accept.
5. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/adoption.plist
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu. A Finder window may open with a file selected. If it does, delete the selected file. You may be prompted for your login password.
Then repeat step 4.
6. Select
Store ▹ View My Account
from the App Store menu bar, then select View hidden purchases. If you're trying to update any hidden purchases, unhide them.
7. Launch iTunes and select
Store ▹ Authorize This Computer
from the menu bar.
8. If you've moved any App Store apps out of the Applications folder, or into a subfolder, put them back. Never move or copy those applications. If you have backup copies of the apps on another volume, unmount it and try to update again.
9. Contact Account and Billing Support. -
i need help! i am trying to update iphoto on my macbook pro that i had bought from someone else. although i am signed into my account when trying to update it is asking me for the previous owners account details and it wont let me change it to my details how can i solve this problem please.

Jan RobinsonThat's because the Mac, OS X and the iLife apps that came preinstalled on the Mac all belong to the previous owner. The previous owner needs to call Apple care and have their Apple ID disassociated from the Mac. Then the hard drive needs to be totally erased and OS X and the iLife apps reinstalled using OS X Recovery.

Copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the music folder) from your old computer to your new one, using one of the methods outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527.

Open the Mac App Store and go to Purchases. Do you see Final Cut Pro X listed?
If so, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and delete Final Cut Pro X. Then, go to the Mac App Store and download Final Cut Pro X for free.

I am unable to sign into my account through Adobe Elements 12. I can sign in on Adobe's website, and through Revel online, and through my smartphone, however when I try to sign in through Adobe Elements 12 directly, the hourglass never stops turning, and turning.

Whenever i try to sync apps, tones, music etc, it says me to authorize my computer. But i had already authorized it and had even signed into my account. Can you please help me? I am facing this problems since long. please.
It goes like this.
Whenever i connect my iPhone5, it starts to sync. later when it reaches the 4th stage of 'Tranferring Purchases' it stops and says me to Authorize my computer.
But i had already authorized it and even signed my apple id.
Moreover, i have only authorized 1 out of my 5 computers.

Occasionally the mail "sends", but it is unpredictable. Tech Support at Qwest (for q.com under Windows Live) does not find a problem at their end.
More suspiciously, the same account accessed from my Mac does not seem to exhibit this problem. Have reloaded T'bird. Recurred again. -
why can't I sign into my account and add a rescue email so I will be able to redo my security questions? I have been unable to buy anything from Itunes because it's asks me for security questions that I don't remember what I put in the first place
1. Because if you could, someone who breaks into your account could do it as well.
2. You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
