Signing Into Verizon Email, News Entertainment Homepage

Why can't I use the sign in for the Verizon Email News Entertainment page any longer? The only way I can sign in now is to sign in using the Accounts sign in and put go to Verizon Email News Enertainment page. If I use the sign in on the enterainment page I get a Verizon page that says this page is no longer available and a click here for the home page which takes me to the Verizon Enterainment page and I am signed in. Why am I getting the extra Verizon page with not much on it which states the enertainment page is no longer available. Sometimes I get the page that says website cannot be displayed. I might note that when I get the page that says the verizon entertainment page is not avaiable--click here for the home page I see that the browser has changed to &=truerememberme after the verizon.com. Also I can get into the entertainment page if I get the page not available message if I click onto the HOME picture at the top of my computer. But why the Page Not Available message page?

Might be a cookies and cache issue ...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Now empty the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Login to your Comcast account.
In case you are not aware, you can avoid having to use Safari to access your Comast email account by setting up your account via Mac Mail.

Why can't I sign into Verizon's Cloud on an Ellipsis 7?

Have a new Ellipsis 7 with software MV7B_31D41_422Y
Open the Cloud app on the Ellipsis and sign into Verizon account and I get:
"Mobile Number Changed.
The Mobile number for this phone has changed to 650-xxx-xxxx (the # listed in My Verizon for this device).
Before you set up Verizon Cloud...
When the phone restarts..."
I click OK and it briefly shows "Mobile number updated" then returns to the log in screen.
Restarted the Ellipsis 7, force closed Cloud, deleted and reinstalled Cloud, made sure Cloud is enabled in My Verizon, same results.

I'm sorry to learn of the Cloud issues you are encountering jpnsco! Let's get some more clues! Were you able to access the Verizon Cloud from device before? When was the last time that you were able to access the Verizon Cloud from this device? Did this issue start after installing/updating any application/software? Are you able to login to your My Verizon account http://bit.ly/xB4iTc using this device credentials?

I can sign into my email account where it goes to "Email Preview", it's stuck on that page. I cannot retrieve my emails, address book, etc. Why can't I get my email page?

When I sign into my email account I am brought to the "Email Preview" page. When I click on "email", "address book" or any of the other files, it tries to connect. In the box at the top it says "connect, then Zimbra, then connect again. Then I am brought right back to the "Email Preview" page.
I can't even open individual emails from this page. I am stuck on this page.
Altho, I can sign out.

As a new security measure Apple are sending emails whenever you (or anyone) signs into your iCloud account. They come from [email protected] and take this form:

If you recently signed in to iCloud.com, you can disregard this email.

Note that they address you by name, and that the links (which you can check in Mail by hovering the mouse over them) are to the legitimate sites. Fake emails usually don't address you by name, and more particularly the 'reset' links are to obviously non-Apple addresses. In any event you should as a matter of course go to appleid.apple.com by entering it in a browser, not following links in emails. However as long as the emails look like the example here they are legitimate. Whether they are indeed a useful security facility is open to some argument.

Cant sign into iCloud with new update

As of the new update i can't sign into iCloud. I've tried deleting the iCloud account file in library
and my gestures are broken in Safari

You will need to go to a computer and go to System Preferences and sign on your new iCloud account there to activate it. You can then sign it out (so whomever was signed on there before can sign back on), and then you will be able to sign it on to your device.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:

Can't get into Verizon emails

Have had my account for a over a year. Used to have problems getting into my emails quite frequently whenever Verizon would "redesign" or "upgrade" (usually over the weekend). However, didn't have any issues for quite a while, until this latest "redesign."
Since this started happening about 3 days ago, there are times when my emails are actually loaded and then I get a message letting me know my session was "de-activated ... click OK" or my session was "timed out." The bottom line is that I can't get into my emails. At some point in time, I got a message from Safari that there were too many redirects. Switched to Google Chrome, but I still have the problem. Due to my daughter's help, I can actually view emails on Outlook Express, but I need to get my list of Contacts from verizon.net. Any help would be appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving!

Unable to sign into itunes with new laptop

Just had my laptop updated to Win 7 Ultimate. Downloaded iTunes. Now it won't let me sign in.
Says iTunes store unavalible at this time try again later. I am able to sign into Apple.
Already did the Command Prompt for "winsock reset".
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Signing into Verizon Fios Provider to view TNT shows online

I've been a Verizon Fios customer for over 2 years now and can sign in to my account online but when I go to TNT.TV and it asks me to sign in to my cable provider to watch show episodes I put in my login information and it tells me that I have to subscribe to Fios TV. I do have Fios TV so why isn't it accepting my login??

i know tnt and speed2 goes thru the flash player to login, sounds like showtime [and some other sites?] uses a different method to login.
I don't think you have to open up things so much (meaning reduce security settings). I just tested using IE10 on Windows 8 in desktop mode. These are the things I did for the CNN live straming through MyVerizon, and they worked for TNT too.
1. My cookies are set to accept first part, session cookies, and block third party cookies.
2. Using the flash control panel (not the settings website) I temporarily allowed flash sites to store data without prompt and cleared all existing sites. I also did NOT enable pier assisted netowrk by using the flash settings site.
3. I logged into My Verizon and accessed the TNT on demand, which took me to a logging in screen with the flash circle going around, but nothing happened until I clicked the compatibility mode icon at which time I got the standard loging prompt, which I successfully did, and was able to get streaming video.
3. I then went back to the Flash control panel, set "ask me before allowing..." setting, opened up the local storage settings, and changed to "allow" the settings for entitlement.auth.adobe.com and anoter for z.dcn.turner.com (which Ibelieve is for CNN live streaming).
Showtime, HBOGo, MaxGo do not use the adobe flash authorization scheme like the Turner networks (which include TNT and CNN) apparently do.

I have to always sign into my email when I click the stay signed in button, how can I overcome this issue?

I installed email notifier, which puts an envelope down in the lower right hand corner (along with the date, etc.) and then all I had to do was click on that and it would take me to my in box. Recently, I have to log in each time I want to open my email, even though I tell to keep me signed in. How can I correct this and go back to what it was.

I too would like to know why this is? It seems to have been only the last few months where I have this issue.

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
