Signing on to my MAC after lost power in the house
I lost power in the house for about 15 seconds. Ever since then I am having trouble signing on to my Macbook. First time I try the mac asks me for my password that doesn't work(it should). I shut down and try again. The second time everything is fine. Anyone having this problem?
Try creating a new account and signing into that ... if it doesn't exhibit the problem, then I'd say you have a corrupted preferences file somewhere. You could try getting "applejack" (google it) and running that to attempt to locate any bad preference files and whatnot and clean them up (don't use auto mode, run each step individually and for the ones where you have the option to run a deep scan on specific users, make sure you have it check the user that you're having problems with). Applejack is free.

I can not get my phone to sign in to my wi fi. I used to, then I lost power to the internet and now it won't. All other devices will.
Try forgetting the Wi-Fi network and then joining it again, just tap Settings > Wi-Fi > the arrow next to your network > Forget this Network, then join the network again.

Yes, if the Apple TV is located where it can receive a strong wireless signal from your wireless router. You will still need to connect from the Apple TV to the TV using an HDMI cable. Not possible to send the signal via wireless directly to your TV.

I am unable to sign-in to the Password Books App after installing IOS 7 and the app is no longer in iTunes , published by Razor Apps, LLC, have all my passwords in this app.
WORKAROUND: In iTunes, select the podcast files and hit CMD-I (show info). Set the genre to something other than "Podcast", and in the Options tab, set the Media Type to Music. You can do this to the files that are on your iPhone. If you do this to the files on your computer, they will no longer show up as Podcasts - they'll be mixed in with music files in your library. You can then put these podcasts into playlists on the iPhone, and they'll show up on the phone once it's disconnected. You might need to fool around with this a bit - try it more than once, etc. - I had some podcasts not show up on the iPhone until after a SECOND connect-and-disconnect operation with the computer. Others here might do some experimenting and figure out a smoother set of instructions that will always work - but this is a starting point.
Note that I ALWAYS "manage music and video files manually" - I NEVER "sync" music and video. Your mileage may vary.
Apple - please listen: The handling of podcasts in iOS 7 is not a feature, it's a bug. As you can tell from the comments here, MANY people need to manage podcasts as if they were music files (and sometimes, THEY ARE!!!!). The arbitrary decision to treat podcasts differently is WRONG - an audio file is an audio file. I don't need to buy one TV to watch sports and one TV to watch news - because video is video. Get it? If you want to provide a Podcasts app, that's fine, and anyone who wants to use it can do so. But don't RUIN the previous, excellent functionality that we had before, when it's completely unnecessary and a colossal pain (not to mention insult) to your customers. And in some cases, it's a serious driving safety issue.
I'll be watching this space to see if others can refine the basic workaround that I've found.
UPDATE: It appears that changing the genre is unnecessary, only the "Media Type". It's probably best to do this only to the copies on the iPhone, so the files in your computer's library are not altered. -
Can I get back an email I was composing after losing power and the computer shut down?
While composing a long, complicated email, the warning came on that I was about to lose battery power. By the time I plugged my computer in to the electrical outlet, it had already shut down. I powered it up and checked my email drafts folder, but the email was not there. Is there any way I can get it back?

Thanks. Doesn't a Mac save your draft automatically from time to time while you're typing it? On my PC I could click on "Save" occasionally and save what I was working on until that point, but on my Mac Book Pro I've never figured out how to do that. My Mac seemed to do it automatically. For example, if for some reason I stopped working on an email but came back to it later, it was in my Drafts folder. However, this time my Mac shut down while I was composing my email and now I can't find it. It's nowhere to be found?! -
Lost power while downloading Software Updates...

I would like to get some guidance in the following situation. I was using the Software Update utility in OSX Lion to download some updates for my computer. Everything was working fine until my home lost power while the computer was in the middle of downloading one of the patches. Since my Mac is a MacBook Pro the computer stayed on during the brief outage (lasting less than a minute), but software update showed a warning message indicating that some downloads could not be finished due to a lost of connectivity. I clicked the "OK" button and was returned to the SU downloads list. When the connection was reestablished I clicked again the install button. The dowloads continued and the computer then restarted to install them.
Since the update download was interrupted and then the item continued to download from where it let off; are there any chances of data curruption? or the software update has some redundancies to detect the corrupted update data?

Perfect, so I won't need to wipe my drive and reinstall Lion again. So far it seems that all updates are running OK, I am not seeing any indications of errors in Console at the time indicating some type of corruption.
I was really worried because I had to perform a Lion clean install this morning after Console started giving me some messages about a wrong checksum, and this power outage came after I finished the installation of OSX Lion and the bundled apps and was updating them to their latest version via software update.

My 50L7300UC TV comes on by itself after I power it off. How can I fix this
I just received my TV this week. After I power off the set, this TV comes on by itself (sometimes a few minutes after I shut it off or sometimes several hours after I shut it off). I do not have it programmed to come on. Please help.
Perhaps it's due to HDMI-CEC. Look for any settings related to that and disable them.
That appears to be a Canadian model, and this is the Toshiba USA site. You may have better luck contacting Toshiba in your region.

My Mac won't fully start up.. I push the power button, the apple sign pops up and the loading circle and then a bar loading and as soon as the bar is done loading the computer cuts off again. It's like it attempts to start up like it's updating something and then after the bar is full, it shuts off. Please help

A couple of things to try:
PRAM reset by holding down cmd-opt-p-r on restart. Hold down the keys until you hear the second startup tone.
If you have a wireless keyboard, wait until you hear the startup tone, then press the keys.

Boot into Safe Mode by holding down Shift key on restart. Same timing applies to wireless keyboard.
Safe Mode takes a while to boot. It will show a progress bar. It will boot to the login screen. Log in, then restart normally.

Boot into Recovery HD by holding down cmd-r. Same note for wireless keyboard. Once booted, run Disk Utility and repair Macintosh HD (or whatever you have renamed it).

I use the bootcamp to install win7 on my 13" macbook pro .. after the installation I got throw windows and try to change the windows partition size
things gone wrong and I got my mac partition lost ! and while trying to got it throw the recovery Disk utility show that it turns to fat partition !
so I couldn't do any thing with it ! couldn't reinstall the lion again .. the only way is to reformat it !! and this will make me lost all my things in it !
So I just need any solution or software to boot from it and converting or editing the partition file system to be journal not fat
by the way also in windows can't open the partition even it shows that it Fat format !my dear it's fixed.
the problem is that I did not hold down the alt option key so solution is just to hold down the alt option key for a while.

You would repeat the same exact process that you used when you originally configured the AirPort router when it was new, just out of the box.
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click Continue to follow the guided setup
You can use the same AirPort name, device password, wireless network name and password that you used previously, or change the names and passwords if you wish. -
