Signing out of itunes?

Why did iTunes reload the entire library when we logged out and back in
again? We needed to login in as our son, to set up a credit card on his
account and when we logged back into our regular account, it took 30
minutes to reload, but certain things changed.. Namely:
All our TV Shows reset as Movies, thus the movie library was a mix of
films and TV shows. I had to go in to each one and reset manually. Now
the TV shows are not grouped, as they were before... WHY?
Next: The music playlists came back fine, but the columns reset to some
basic default, instead of the very specific column settings I have spent
13 years meticulously setting up. WHY, and how do I reset them back like
they were? If this is not possible, can I set up a global setting for
all my playlist columns, or do I seriously have to go in and reset every
one of over 250 playlists manually?
It begs the question, IF iTunes needs to perform a complete reload,
which I can appreciate, why does it set certain things back to some kind
of default, instead of how I had it previously set? It saves all other
manual settings, so why does it not for the ones above?

I've just tried to sync my ipad and (regarding the issue above) iTunes has wiped ALL MY APPS completely and its trying to suggest if I sync my iPad it will remove them form there too!! HELP SOMEONE PLEASE !!! Why is my iTunes account going bananas all of a sudden! All we did was log out and back in again! iPad sync also took all my movies off the iPad too.. Noone is replying, please can someone help me

I'm trying to download some purchased TV shows to my iPad Air.  I keep getting the dreaded Download Error Tap to Retry Message.  I've signed out of iTunes and back in.  I've updated my software.  I have plenty of room for them on the Air.  We are taking a long flight this week, and I wanted to have something new to watch.  I've read through lots of threads on this but I can't seem to find a good solution that I haven't tried.
If I can get them to download them on my iMac computer, can I then transfer them to my iPad?  How is this done?  (Please pardon an older lady's ignorance, and thank you for any assistance!)

  • Since downloading IOS 5 Itunes keeps randomly opening up  and popping up on my desktop screen, not just when I turn on computer but randomly even though I sign out of itunes. How can I stop this from happning

After installing ios5, itunes randomly opens up on my desktop on my laptop computer. Not just when I start my computer but when I'm on it. itunes just opens. I've searched settings in itunes and my desktop and don't know where to go to stop this from happening. itunes will just open. I've rebooted laptop and tried signing out of itunes and it still happens. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this stop??

While it is clearly the wifi syncing that is causing it, the device almost never shows up in the device list, and I've already unchecked that box.  I have two devices that I'd love to wifi sync, but neither show up today on the device list, despite iTunes continually popping up every 5 minutes or so.  Buggy...

  • How can I sign out of iTunes after download finishes

How can I sign out of itunes or bthe app store after a dowload completes?

Only if you set up the computer to require separate computer logins. It is tedious to retrofit that.
To help avoid problems you can turn off autosyncing so that you have to overtly start a sync. To turn off go iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says "Prevent iPods...".

  • Can I sign out of itunes on my computer and allow someone else to sign in?, can I sign out of itunes on my computer and allow someone else to sign in?

I want to sign in to iTunes on my husband's computer, but I do not want to sign into HIS iTunes account.  Once someone has logged into an account on iTunes, is that account locked into that computer?
Also, I am trying to do some setup for my mother-in-law's iphone.  Her SIM is not here at my house, can I put my SIM into her phone and then connect to my husband's computer?  Will her phone be set up under my name or can I set it up using her iTunes account with a different SIM (temporarily)???
I'm afraid to get locked into a. my husband's iTunes from his computer and b. onto his mom's phone.
Does this make any sense?  Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.........
    susie

To log her out try going to the iTunes Store, click on the account name in the upper right corner, and then click "Sign Out".  Next, you'll need to sign in by clicking on the same button in the upper right and then enter  your account information. Once you're logged in I think you should be able to sync your music files or download your past purchases from the store to update your computer.

  • Is there a way to auto sign out from itunes store when itunes is closed?

We have multiple libraries on one PC (Win7). Each user has their own Itunes account and their own Itunes library. When Itunes is closed and then reopened into a different library, the Itunes Store remaines signed in to the last user who signed in. I would like to automatically sign out of the Itunes store when Itunes is closed. Anybody have a suggestion?

    Hi,
iChat and Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) had a pane in the App Menu > Preferences  called Alerts.
This could see the Sounds in iChat (or Messages), the System Sounds defaults and anything you had stored in ~/Library/Messages and you could set any of these Sounds to any of the 17 actions as a global choice
As in Maverick if you highlight a Buddy in a Buddy List and then use CMD + i (Get Info) you could similarly set sound to individual Buddies.
You cannot do this in Mavericks/Messages 8 as the Alerts Pane have disappeared.
You cannot turn Off the sounds the app makes for the various different actions such as Video Invite or File Transfers.
You can no longer set individual Buddy sounds either.
There has not been a way to do this for iMessage Contacts.

  • How can I sign out of itunes automatically

Hi, I have 3 nephews (Triplets) that all share 1 computer. They all have their own Apple account now using their own Apple ID. They are only 12. With that said, I was wondering if thee was a way that I can set up iTunes to automatically sign them out each time they clos iTunes. It seems that everytime I they plug in the iPod into the computer, the store account for the last one will still be loged on. I would like to be able to have it automatically sign out, so they won't mess each others iPod's up.
Right now it is for a Windows PC..
Is this possible? or does someone have to physically sign themout each time?
    Thanks in advance!!!

  • Playlists missing from iOS device after signing out from iTunes Match

    Hi, everyone!
I've just signing up to iTunes Match service and after I went Settings > iTunes and App Stores menu and disabling iTunes Match, all of my iOS playlists synced from computer are missing, just the tracks I've wirely synced from my Mac computer are there.
Can anyone have a tip to solve this? I'm kind of disappointed with the service because musics in the cloud take long time to stream to my iOS.

I have found that scrolling through the album list (past albums without art) triggers the progress wheel next to the wifi symbol. You can scroll quickly through the whole collection and then wait! Artwork will appear gradually...
However, repeat visits to the Music App might initially show no artwork again, but it might spontaneously appear more quickly this time. The bad news is that the whole Music App is now sluggish as ****...

  • For some unknown reason my app for Remote no longer works.  It says it cannot find my itunes.  I have tried to remove it and signed out and back in all that jazz but it didnt help.  Anyone else have a solution for this?  Thx.

For some unknown reason my application "Remote" no longer works.  I deleted it from my phone.  Signed out of Itunes and back in.  Turned back on home sharing and all that jazz but it says it cannot find my itunes library.  Is anyone else having this problem and if so how did you fix it?  Thx.

    Hello Philly,
I believe that when you reset your ipod(command given from the computer, right?)  touch WHILE the ipod was updating, It cleared the system in the middle of writing files, thus corrupting(equivalent of cutting of in the middle of a sentence) the basic running system.
I suggest you go to an apple store and ask for a technical diagonosis in person. they may offer to help if the problem is fixable. If your ipod is still under warrenty, i would guess it would be free/low cost.

  • Im subcribed to itunes match and when i signed out of it then signed in again, its telling me i need to puchase a subcription again when i already did 2 months ago..

today i turned on my pc and opened itunes to listen to music.then i saw a letter displaying on the icloud bar..it looked like a 'z' letter..not sure.so then i was told to sign out of itunes match and re-sign in..i did that hoping it would resolve the problem and now its telling me that i need to subcribe to it again..i had tons of music stored in my icloud that i got from cd's..what do i do?

Thanks Michael for your quick response.  However, the following still exists:
    1)  I created a playlist in my iTunes entitled "Holiday Music".  I have waited for days and it has never appeared on my iPhone.  I even tried to sync it with USB and although it showed up under "On my Phone", it did not show up on my iPhone.  I still can't find it anywhere on my iPhone.
    2)  Yes I hit "shuffle".  However, after reading your response above, I tried not hitting shuffle and the bluetooth in my car when haywire.  It scanned through my music and stopped whenever it wanted to.  Plus, when  I got in the car, I went to my playlist and checked "download all".  I had to wait about 15 minutes before the playlist began playing.  When it did, the first song played a couple of seconds and then waited a couple of seconds, and then did the same throughout the entire song.  I figured it was because it was still downloading.  I can't have this.  It causes me anxiety because it bypasses songs I would like to hear.
    3)  As far as getting all the songs that my daughter and I buy, I will check out your recommendations above.
Thanks for your help on these issues.  It is greatly appreciated.  I will try anything to get this thing to work before
Christmas is over.  THX, Lynn Z.

  • How do I sign out of my iTunes account?

I want to sign out of the itunes account that I currently have and into a different one and I can't find this option. I also can't connect to wifi and therefore the iTunes application on my phone, but I can to my computer. Where do I sign out of this account?

Can't be done directly on the iPhone. Sign out in iTunes > Store menu on the computer, sign into the other account, then sync. The iPhone simply matches it's account info to the one active in iTunes at the last sync.
To change the Wi-Fi settings, go to Settings > WiFi. If you're connected to the network (showing a WiFi symbol), you can choose Forget this Network by tapping the little blue arrow to the right of the network name.

  • Error message when trying to sign in with iTunes: ConnectionManager::invoke::failed to find service connection url.

I recently signed out of itunes on my imac and when i tried to sign back in i get the error message: ConnectionManager::invoke::failed to find service connection url. If i try again i get another box asking if i've forgotten my password. But my password is definitely right as i just used to it make an account on this support page. Any simple ways of fixing this?

Just to test the simple things first, did you try to sign in using another credential?
If only yours fails, then is a RIM issue, otherwise is indeed your Playbook failure.
