Signing up for BT Premium Mail

Okay, I know there has been chat about this, but does anyone know how to actually do it?
I left BT BB about 18 months ago. Tried repeatedly to sign up for BT Premium Mail. Always failed. No clues as to how to make it work.
Now, my BT Yahoo email account still works... I have been signing in via PAYG (well, I haven't as that doesn't seem to work nowadays ... but let's not go there right now).
The error I get is always :
... after I click on the 'sign up' page 
So, from page:  http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=27277
Click on the 'Get Premium Mail' == https://register.btinternet.com/cgi-bin/registernow?version=ie5&ex=1&product_type=PMR
And then you get the above screen.  Always.  For over 18 months.  I've tried this in various browsers ... all give same response.
Can anyone suggest how to resolve this issue.   I've raised this before, but no-one from BT seems capable of answering this very basic question.

Following moving from BT Broadband to another supplier I wanted to keep my btinternet email addresss.
Having just wasted a lot of time trying to get this sorted out, this how I got it sorted out.
THE FOLLOWING DOES NOT WORK:
1) The BT website options do not work. The web page is not set up for chrome. When using internet explorer it just came up with "problem with account" when I tried to log in.
2) Ringing 0800-633-5335 - option 3 - the operator (David) did not really know what he was doing and I got nowhere. In the usual BT way was very polite and the same time completely unhelpful.
THE FOLLOWING WORKED:
In the end I rang 0800-633-5335 option 2. I got through to someone called "Sid".
He eventually took my mobile number and rang through to another department to "downgrade" my email. This is a requirement of BT before upgrading to BT Premium email.
Sid rang me back and said it was all sorted and that the charge was £ 1.54 per month. Therefore my emails and the email address would be preserved.
He said there was a fault with the system in which a password change would be asked for. He said to ignore this - for this situation password change is not required.
Sid then said that billing would be separate and could not be included on a BT bill. Therefore bank details were required.
This didn't sound too good, however I didn't have much choice. 
When logging into my email I then got this message:
Service Change
Thank you for changing services.
With this service change, you will be receiving the following level of service:
PRODUCT LEVEL OF SERVICE
Mailbox Storage Unlimited primary, Unlimited sub
Photo Storage Unlimited
Number of Sub Accounts
10

    The only way with what you desire & have is to Right click or Control+click on the eMail link on the site, choose Copy Email Address, open Yahoo Mail in your Browser, New Message, then Paste in the To: bar.
    WebMail is a real pain, Yahoo is a pain... are you sure you wouldn't like to modernize & streamline things with a new free POP or IMAP accont like HotMail/Live.com, or GMail?

  • Unable to sign up for Student discount

    Hi everyone,
    my account is in premium status since i am a member of spotify. Now i found the information about getting a lower price caused by the fact that i'm a student. I canceled my premium subscription and registered at unidays.com via the spotify landing page (https://www.spotify.com/de/student). After that i verified my unidays account with the email address of my university.
    After getting back to the spotify page i am getting the error that i am not allowed to buy the price reduced product, but i am able to sign up for normal premium subscription. The original error message is ->  "Wie es aussieht, kannst du das reduzierte Produkt, das du kaufen möchtest, nicht erhalten. Du kannst dein Konto trotzdem gerne jederzeit auf Premium umstellen." ... 
    In the unidays account i am registered as a student until 11/2015 and everything looks fine.  Could you please look into my case and fix this? The registration email from unidays is the same i am using with spotify.

    Can you provide a screenshot of it?
    If you are currently on a subscription, you have to cancel it first then click the checkout link to have the discount successfully applied. :) 

  • Move to BT Premium mail messed up

    I changed my ISP away from BT. I therefore got the warning about my mail accounts being deleted. I was quite happy to move to BT Premium mail and pay the fee.
    I have 1 main account and 1 sub account but the main account would not permit me to apply for BT Premium mail so I raised a case with the helpdesk. I was contacted by Helpdesk and the technician guided me through applying for Premium mail via the sub account. I pointed out what was likely to happen (the sub account would be migrated and the main account not). He assured me all would be well on the phone and both accounts would remain related.
    Yes you have guessed it - they have not. The sub account is indeed on Premium mail but shows no relationship to the main account. I can still access mail on the main account but i cannot manage the main account anymore (change password,etc).
    I realise this is just another part of the fallout from the BT Mail migration last year but might be a warning for others.
    Could one of the Mods on here please assist if at all possible?
    I urgently need to get these accounts related again before all my mail is deleted from the main  account who is actualy paying the bill for this service.
    I woud be most grateful for any such assistance

  • Premium Mail

    Hi, I currently have a premium mail (talk21) account. This is paid for by automatic credit card payment each month.
    This is the only product I have from BT since moving to New Zealand.
    I want to change the credit card details but can't find how to do it.
    I've tried MyBT but I keep getting asked for my BT account no. and I don't have one, only the premium mail account no. which the website won't accept. I've contacted customer services but they just emailed me and said to logon to MyBT.
    Not much help. I've never had a bill for the premium mail, it just gets charged monthly. Any ideas anyone? Cheers, Nick.

    Try deleting that app, then see if you have the same issue.

    You create an @icloud.com address in the first place by signing into Settings>iCloud with your Apple ID and choosing an addres - you can only create an @icloud.com address, not @me.com.
    Then if you want further addresses on the same account you can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.) (New aliases can only be @icloud.com ones; @me.com addresses cannot now be created.)
    You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

  • I use Firefox to access AOL e mail, I want to delete a username where I sign in for AOL mail. How do I do this?

    One day I went on Firefox to go to AOL, once on AOL I went to sign in to get my e mail. By mistake I typed my password in the space for Username. I erased it but ever since that day, when I click on the username space, among the offered usernames, from the drop down menu, is my pass word and I want to delete it so it never appears on that drop down menu of usernames.     Thanks, Mandel. The undesired username is not stored in AOL. For instance if I would use Safari to access AOL e mail, the undesirable username '''''does not''''' appear. It only appears when I'm using Firefox to access AOL and then sign in for my AOL e mail and click on the username space. This bad username is there because one day I typed it in by mistake and Firefox for some reason remembers it whenever I sign on. Thanks for any further info. JEFF

  • Premium Mail link broken for months - Please help

    I have been trying to upgrade to Premium Mail (as per many of the other posts I read on here)
    Every time I click on the Premium Mail link it tells me the page is broken. Thsi has been happening for a long while now. I can't find any way of doing it on Yahoo Mail website either. This is driving me nuts. I just want to keep my email address. We have already cancelled our broadband with BT since my boyfriend moved in and we consolidated phone lines.
    Please help.

  • My e-mail works fine but when I try to sign up for other sites like twitter or any site asking for an e-mail address it always kicks it out saying not valid e-mail

    I cant log on to msn IM it tells me to put full address in, I tried to sign up for twitter and I type my first letter and it says invalid e-mail. the same with any site that requires you to use my address. both hotmail and outlook both work fine, I have turned off firewalls and all security and it still does it can anyone help?

  • Cannot sign up for .Mac or acces Yahoo! Mail with Firefox unless...

    I cannot access my Yahoo! mail account or sign up for .Mac via Firefox 1.5 browser. At the office I have no problem accessing via cable modem. At home via dsl I cannot. Funny thing though, I am able at home via dsl to access these problem sites if I drag my Firefox 1.5 application onto the desktop. If I leave it in the applications folder and launch it via the dock it doesn't work-I dont want it on my desktop as I like to keep it clean and neat. Any suggestions?

    Double-check that you only have one copy of Firefox installed on your machine - it almost sounds like you are launching the old version at some times, and the new one at others.
    Just for troubleshooting purposes, what happens if you launch Firefox from an alias on your desktop?
    Any difference?

  • Tracks / Album not available after sign up for Premium?!

    Yesterday while listening to some album, the ads finally got me crazy so I signed up for premium - and there is the 30 days trial at first so I signed it up with my credit card. And it recognize my location at Malaysia.I download the whole album for offline listening and everything went pretty smooth until somewhere half an hour later... the whole album become not available. Sometime the error just say not availble (for no reason) and now it say not available in my country... Whatttt....? But I had been playing that for so long time and now you telling me it's not available at my country AFTER I signed up for premium?! Is this a joke / trolling / bug or what?I don't dare to download anymore tracks just in case they all become like this!

    iCloud should have no affect on any other mail accounts on your computer, especially 2 different computers. Are you sure AOL isn't down?
    But if you believe it is affecting your AOL accounts, open Accounts tab in System Preferences and select the iCloud account uncheck mail and any other features you are using with iCloud. If you are using no iCloud features, sign out of iCloud completely. It will remove any iCloud email account from Mail.

  • Signed up for Premium 7 day trial but cannot find a way of cancelling Subs

    Hi, I signed up for the 7 day premium trial, it never asked for any payment details.  When I go into my account it says its activated and that the pre-paid premium will end of the 08/08. Will this automatically stop or will I start to be charged ?? If so where are my bank details held as I havent provided any and I dont have the option to Manage my Subs to cancel it ? Shelley

    If you stored any of your bank details with soptify, they will be shown at spotify.com when you log in.
    By the sounds of it I doubt you were charged.
    What I can confirm is that if you're on iOS (iPhone, iPad) and when you signed up for the trial you had to enter your apple ID password, you will be charged through Apple. The reson why I'm saying this is that I see a lot of people on the community who don't know this.
