Signing Up for My Verizon Without a Phone Number

My parents recently established a VZW account separate from our phone plan and purchased a 4G MHS device for their internet at home.  The MHS data plan is the only thing on their account so they don't have a phone number and therefore can't create a My Verizon account via VerizonWireless.com. Is there any way for them to create an account on their own? Or will they need to contact Customer Support or visit the local VZW store to get an account setup?

At the time of purchase an e-mail should have been sent to the e-mail address on file with a temporary password. This e-mail includes an embedded link with the password. This link is only valid for 30 days from the day it was sent. If you have not received this e-mail or if it expired, send me a private message.     Yes you can. Just make sure you have iMesages on. You will need to go into Settings>Messages and turn it on and log in to their Apple IDs. I was having some activation issues when I first got my iPhone 4S [it was the carrier's fault, not the iPhone's] and I was using iMessages with my Apple ID to text my friends who had iPhones. I of course had to be connected to Wi-Fi for it to work. Hope that helps.
    You could also have them download a texting app and they could use that on Wi-Fi. There are many free ones out there. I personally enjoy Text Now. Gives you your own phone number so others can text you too, not just iDevices.

    An icloud account is designed to be used by just one user.  If you have given your ID or set up your account on someone else's device, then their data will be mingled with your or worse.

  • Sign in to My Verizon on my phone

    This issue is happening with me on my Samsung Illusion.
    The update killed my ability to go onto MyVerizon at all through the widget and the browser.
    Tried from my laptop with same info and it worked fine so I know it is the app.
    CANNOT uninstall.
    Update made it worse and required to update, so that's genius.
    Uninstalled update. Restarted my phone. Installed update. Restarted phone. No worky.

    UPDATE:
    As of 2 days ago, I discovered the problem again.
    I try to log in with my security code and it says, "please enter a valid phone number"
    I do, and nothing happens.
    I go to my browser and try. I log in fine but it says, ""We are unable to display account information at this time. Please contact customer service at *611 or visit www.verizonwireless.com/myverizon for the most updated information on your Prepaid account. We apologize for the inconvenience."
    So it wasn't apps.
    It's the Wi-Fi, somehow. The mobile Verizon App shows a nice updated version in the Play Store (that doesn't work) on Wi-Fi.
    On 3G, however, the app works, but it's the older version.
    It's a bug with Wi-Fi, Verizon!
    I tried doing the Password reset thing that was suggested in the original thread and was labelled as the "Correct Answer."
    I reset it through the PC and got a text on my phone. Restarted phone after it didn't work and it didn't help.

    What??? I've had this account for over 5 years, same user name, same password. I was able to log in, saw all info on my account, but when clicked on Upgrade Data plan, I was instructed to call the 800 number above. I had a chat session with the sales dept, they said they could not help me with this issue, since they're only trying to sell devices.
    Anybody have an idea what's going on? There's no other phone number to call Verizon.

    I have been with Orange on contract since 2000, and decided to leave.I let Orange know in advance of my contract expiry on 22/6/15.They said I could not have a payg sim so far in advance.I rang two weeks before the contract expiry and they said they would send me a payg sim.They sent it to an address which I have never lived at, and which has never appeared on my bill.I went on holiday.When I came back the new sim had not arrived so I phoned Orange. I rang them twice on 23rd July, and again twice on 24th often to find out that they charge me 25p to get a message saying they are not open, so that’s £1 so far. And again with 20 minutes holding listening to music at lunchtime totals £1.25.Over the weekend make that £11 (had to top up).The phone number &*()_  i want to keep is now dead and has stopped taking voicemails.I need this number as it is on all my business cards and website.When you do finally get the number working on payg, I will then get Orange to supply a pac code and move to a different provider.One of the many departments I spoke to yesterday on your 25p line said I should give you a month to get out of the contract. I said I am on payg and I will go when I like!This abysmal level of service for 15 years is why I am leaving orange.The people on the 25p line also have a very poor understanding of English and are more interested in parroting that EE is a great service provider with a good network or some such nonsense.I hope they get my number working so that I can get off Orange network. at the time of writing 5 days and counting so far to transfer a number.     i get an error 1121611611 "please enter 10 digit number". The contact i messaged number is 10 digits in my contacts. I hope i dont have to re-enter the phone number with area code for every text message. any solution to this problem, is there a way to automatically include the area code on text messaging? The contact has the same area code as me.

    I am having the same problem as well...it seems that for dummies like me who never spent much time texting before I got the iphone that I did not know you had to enter a person's area code also to text them (hence the 10 digit error message).
    That said, I, like you, put in the area code and got things to work--problem is when you save to Favorites. So here is what I discovered on my own while chatting with an Apple tech support rep: When you save to Favorites, if the person you are calling/texting has your same area code, the program then deletes the area code prior to dialing and you can't get out. I gave the tip to the tech--she said she would forward it to the appropriate folks. It seems they need to slightly change the code so that Favorites does not eliminate the area code on local calls/texts. I also talked to ATT who said that ideally one should always use the area code for all calls--not sure why as it works just fine to not enter it, but that is what she said.
    So my workaround for now is to not have my wife in Favorites so that I can text her--seems to work ok if just dialing from Contacts as long as you have the area code stored with the number in Contacts.
    Hope this works for you as it did for me--hope they will address it and fix it.

  • Problem with email after signing up for a verizon domain name

    I am really frustrated and need some assistance.  On 7/5/14 we signed up and purchased a domain name to keep our email addresses. We moved from FL to Co and had our services cancelled (phone and internet services) on 8/13/14 (was supposed occurr on 8/5).  Now our account is suspended (accessing our email thru verizon.com).  After spending over 2 hours on the telephone with no help.
    We never recieved instructions on how to access our email accounts(4 have four accounts) and it is currently "Suspended" (per verizon Techs)
    How do we get this resolved and who can we contact via phone to get this resolved?
    Also, we were billed twice ($19.95)

    Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
    Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
