Silence & start of next song added to each track?

Hi, I recently used Waveburner (1.2) to polish some music loops for use in a commercial project, and noticed that not only has the process added silences of 2 seconds to the end of all my tracks, it has also cut off the start of the next track, so that the 1st beat of track 3 is heard on track 2 for example.
Can someone please tell me what is going on and what is the best way to fix this? :s

I just opened my Waveburner Project on my Unis Macs (They have Logic 8/Waveburner 1.5, I have Logic 7/Waveburner 1.2) and the display on that version showed that the purple track markers were wider than I had set, and were also hanging over onto the next file. :S
I still don't know what happened, but I at least fixed my problem

Hey there, I've started using spotify premium some days ago and I love the Fade function.Unfortunetaly, I mostly hear quiet music which fades out around ten seconds before the other song starts. So the fade function just fades from silence to the next song and not from the previous song to the next song. Can I say that a song or songs in general stop (and fade together with the next one) around five seconds before they normally would? Thanks in advance!

i ALSO am experiencing something similar to this on 2 separate MacBook Pro's.
Playing itunes through airplay to applyTV and it will just.... i wanna say like looses connection?!?!?!
I should mention this NEVER happened before Yosimite.

Every time I hit "next" to play the next song, the current song playing will stop and wont play the next song. This also happens when the songs ends. When the song ends it won't start the next song. How do I fix this?
Also the shuffle won't shuffle any one my songs.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPod?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPod shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If these don't work try removing all music via iTunes and reinstall all the music from your iTunes library.

This my first experience with itunes and using a gift carddownloaded an album and only half of a few songs played before jumping to the next song

This is my first experience with itunes and I chose to download a Mark Knopfler album. The first three songs stopped half way and instantly started the next song. How do I re-load the songs since i now "own" them? Thanks. Luce.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

ITunes won't move on to the next song...Help please..

Hi, when I play songs in itunes the system just "stops" when it finishes a song and doesn't automatically move onto the next one. I have to keep walking to the computer to start the next song - quite annoying! how do I fix this?

While playing any song on your iPod, tap the artwork to bring up the scrubber bar and additional controls. On the left hand side is a option for repeat. You want to make sure this icon is white (meaning it is set to Off). If it isn't tap it either one or two times to change its current setting. Any luck there?

I had a similar problem: I wanted to synch my playlist to my iphone. I like to have my playlist sorted by genre. But under each genre, albums are not sorted by the track numbers. This is a problem, especially when I am listening to club mixes when the DJ smoothly transitions from 1 track sequentially to the next one. Under the properties of each audio file, the Track Numbers and Disc Numbers are already there.
My perfect solution was to turn On Sorting - Sort Album under View>Show View Options. Then, select all the songs in that album (Shift click, Cmd click, etc) , and Edit multiple item information (Cmd I). You will see Info-Video-Sorting-Options buttons. Click on Sorting. Then, under Sort Album, Enter the name of the album. Then OK.
You should now have the playlist sorted by Genre, then each album individually sorted by track numbers. On your playlist you should see, if you scroll right, the column added called "Sort Album".

Is there a DJ app for the Ipad that will read the "start" and "stop time" setting for each individual song, as they are set in the song Options screen in Itunes? The Ipod Touch, by itself does not allow cross-fading, therefore when the stop time is edited short, the song jusst truncates then goes to the next song. I tried the DJay ap and while it would crossfade, it would NOT read the song settings for the stop marker. So now I want to try and Ipad and see if there is an app that will READ the Itune stop settings within the song. I do NOT want an app that will allow me to DO the stop marker. I want an app that will READ the stop marker from the song as it is set in Itunes.

Itunes provides the option for setting the Start and Stop times of each music track. However, the start and stop times do not synchronize to the iPhone. I don't understand why this option is even available as it doesn't work when listening to music on the phone. I have not found another application that will support the start and stop time markets. I have searched quite a bit for this but can't find anything. I hope we can find something.

I've had it for the past few days that when I have a album playing it will play a song half way through and start the next one, however it still shows the first song name and the time that is on there. Then back it up and do a restore. If that does not work and if you are still under warranty, call Apple tech support or take the iPod to your local Apple Store or an AASP.

Ipod skips to middle of next song instead of the start

when my ipod moves to the next song at the end of the previous song, or is skipped forward to the next song, it will sometimes start playing the next song either 30 seconds or sometimes over a minue into the song. This seems to be happening when it is on shuffle. I've tried resetting it but its still happening. Any suggestions? Its only a couple of weeks old (and happens to be a warranty replacement for my last 5th gen ipod who's headphone jack didn't work properly). Have i been given a dud?

Hello all... i was having a horrible issue with my iPhone seemingly shuffling at random. So frustrating until I turned off the "shake to shuffle" option... I think most new iPods and iPhones have this feature in settings... good luck.

Go to SETTINGS - IPOD - and turn off "Shake to Shuffle"...

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic file (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app (or video app) on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.

Assuming the phone isn't jailbroken, the basic steps (as needed) are:
Restart phone (you already did this)
Reset phone
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup

If your phone is jailbroken, this is the most frequent cause of the problems you described. Restoring could permanently brick the phone.
Note that your iOS is old and the current version is 4.2.8. It's odd that it wasn't updated when your activated your phone in iTunes, being that you got it last Friday.

If you do not have dupicate songs on the iPod then:
Try:

To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
