The Side Switch is to mute your ringers, and most of the application's sound. To totally mute the sound, you must use the rocker to mute it.

You need to take it in for out of warranty replacement. It will cost you but phones wrecked by water damage are usually unrepairable in the long or short term.

I also have this problem.
Safari cannot open the page because the server stopped responding.
I have the indication that wifi is working properly, I know that because when i tried to open like kompas - news app in indonesia - it is no problem.
Just with safari, you tube and app store.
I already tried to reset the network, restore to factory setting ans STILL nothing can help me.
WHY apple still have this problem?? and from many forums, i found this kind of problem and always no answer can satisfy customer using iphone or ipad (in my case).

Just got my new iPhone4, can't get the ringers to play. Yes, I've tried the switch on the side... HELP!

Just pulled my iPhone 4 out of the box, I'm trying to set the ring tones and I can't preview them and I can't hear it when the phone rings, only vibrates.
I've tried the switch on the side and from what I've read, there should be a little bell icon at the top; it's not there.
I'm so frustrated with this. Can someone please help me?

try restarting the phone and see if anything changes.
Restart iPhone: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears then let both buttons go and wait for the phone to restart.

My MacBook won't login as the keyboard isn't responding normally

On starting up my MacBook, the keyboard isn't responding correctly so I can't log in on any profile configured. The passwords are known but I don't think what is being typed is actually being recorded....

No. The only choices are audio mute or orientation lock.

My phone vibrates when ringing but no sound comes out . When i go in to settings and choose a ring tone it plays then but not when getting a call, the silent switch on the side has also stoped vibrating when swithed on or off

My screen on my iPhone 4s is gone blank and wont turn back on. Even when i reset the phone it is just blank. I know the phone is on because when i change the switch on the side it vibrates.

Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.

Satellite A60: Wireless LAN switch at the side is cover over

hi I have a Satellite A60 notebook, I want to turn on my Wireless Lan But the switch at the side is cover over like its just for show. I have all the indications that i can turn it on, the symbol at the fron and the on/ off at the side, but as i said it is covered over and not a switch as showld be. Does theis mean I can't have a wireless connection or is it a fault in the notebook? please help.

I do not have an answer, I just want to share your frustration. I recently sorted out a wireless hub for home but I can not get on it with my A60.
I also have the light at the front and the blanked off switch on the right and a manual which talks of wireless LANS in glowing tones.
I was lead to believe that it was wireless enabled but it is not!!!
It even comes up with a graphic "searching for a wireless connection" but that's pointless if it has not got the stuff to work [when it's inches from the wireless hub].

Depending on the model of MBP, buy a new battery or take it in for servicing to get a new battery. You could also try an SMC reset to see if that helps, but your symptoms don't sound like the ones normally solved by a SMC reset.
