Silent install of netware client on Windows 7

We want to upgrade all our Windows 7 computers to the newest version of the Netware client. I set the options in the Install.ini so that it does not display things like the dialog boxes, but it still prompts the user. What else do need to do so that I can do silent installations?

Unable to silently install CS3 Design Standard in windows 7

I have a problem with silently installing CS3 Design Standard in Windows 7.
I have done a silent install packages using the instructions in the deployment guide.
It works just fine on Windows Vista to deploy using SCCM 2007.
But when deploying the same package on Windows 7 i fails with exit code 7.
Studying the log files tells me the following

Well i have tried installing the CS3 Design Standard on Windows 7 the normal way, logged in and executing the installer. This works fine,
nothing says that the system requirements are not fulfilled. Everything works fine.
It just dont work silently....
Does anyone know whats wrong?

Hi, this might be a little late, but who knows, for the future reference, this is what solved the problem for me:
Each major application has a file called appname.proxy.xml in their payload folder. At the bottom of the file, simply remove the OS check:

Unable to install Cisco VPN Client on Windows 7

Hello,
After a successfull uninstallation of Cisco VPN version 4. I try to install Cisco VPN Client version 5.0.07.0290.
But after launching vpnclient_setup.msi, the wizard is starting. When I click on Next button, I have the following message: "installation ended prematurely because of an error".
In attachment, I add the details of the error find in the windows logs (logError.txt) and the logs generated from MSI installer in verbose mode (log2.txt).
My computer is a lenovo W500 with Windows 7 64 bits and 4 GB of memory (compliant with the Cisco VPN Client requirements).
I have administrator privileges on this computer.
Please help me !
I need to use it to connect to my company network.

You should be able to install the 64 bit version of the Cisco VPN software
Latest version is vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0440-k9.exe
Using Shrew VPN is a workaround more than a solution / answer to this issue.
You should download and run MCPR.exe first, to clean out any traces of McAfee products that conflict with Cisco VPN.

If there is a problem with vbscript registration on the system - there is a fixit tool from Microsoft for that:

Install EAS Console Client in Windows 7

I have EPM 11.1.1.3 and I have difficulties installing EAS Console Client in my PC (Windows 7-32 bit). In other PC (same characteristics than mine), it installed with no problems. So I don't know why I can't do it in mine.

Installation of EAS Client 11.1.1.3 do not work on the Windows 7. This has been identified and verified as unpublished Bug 12351335.
The current Support Matrix states that Essbase Administration Services Client Console is supported in v11.1.1.3, however due to a bug it will not work.
A workaround for the EAS Console is to launch it from a web browser, i.e. Internet Explorer. The URL to launch it is:

Silent install of 10gR2 Client on XP: OUI-10133 Invalid Staging Area

Hi!
I'm trying to install 10gR2 Admin Client on my Win XP workstation (XP Pro Multilingual, SP2) silently, but everytime I'm getting an OUI-10133 error.
If the installation is done interactively (from the same source), everything works fine.
Does anybody have a hint for me? I found a few notes on metalink referring to problems with the installation of Grid Control, but I think, this here is something different. I have one zip file containing the client installation, which has been extracted into one local directory.

I get a similar error when attempting to install Oracle 10g (10.2.0.1) on a RedHat Linux machine. I can't get past the first OUI screen. I select either Basic or Advanced install, and then I enter the name of my Oracle installation directory.
The actual context of the error msg is:
OUI-10133: Invalid staging area. There are no top level components for Linux available for installation in this staging area.
I click OK and that's pretty much it.
What gives?

Error installing SAP B1 Client on Windows 7

after having installed by mistake a PL not supported on Windows 7 , i have uninstalled B1 Client , and reinstall after updating the server ( 2007 / SP01 /PL07 ) .
i managed to install , but B1 is unable to connect to SAP Server . when i click "change company" on the first screen ,i saw only "MSQL" in the list box , and no MSSQL2005 . when i try to "Change Server" , and after "OK" , server is not updated in the main screen , and i have the following message in the log :
"Error renaming SQL driver to MSI executable"

I like to install the Active Directory client on Widows 8.1 Pro. I have tried installing RSAT (Remote Server Admin Tools for Windows 8.1, but when I run the setup program it says the Windows Update Standalone
Installer, the update is not applicable to your computer. I am running this Windows8.1-KB2693643-x86.msu and downloaded it from here.

Can't install Hyper-V client on Windows 8 Pro

Resolved.
I use dataram ramdrive, all temps & history stored there, changed back temporarily to a temp folder on C: - the install completed.
So, something should have been left in the temp location for windows update to do something with, after the actual install finishes, fails and reverts - that's where it seems to fall over.
I select the items to install, reboot, start windows update, reboot, fail, rollback

As far as I can see, my machine should support it

Installing 64 bit client on Windows Server 2008

Hi,
I'm trying to install an 11.2.0.2 64 bit client on my windows 2008 R2 server and its not going through. The install wizard completes, but when I click "install" it starts up the install and just closes in about 3 seconds installing nothing in the install directory.
We currently have a 32 bit 11.2.0.2 client installed on the server as well.
How can I get the 64 bit client to install properly?
I've tried running the setup.exe as admin, running it through cmd with ignore system prereqs, and giving the install folder full permissions to everyone

Pl confirm that you are installing using two separate ORACLE_BASE directories - one for 32-bit and the other for 64-bit.

Silent install of iTunes 10 for Windows

I am trying to deploy iTunes 10 to about 100 windows machines. Is there a command I can use to make the install silent. I have seen past references to /q /n and /quiet /passive but those do not seem to work. I have also seen references at appdeploy.com about extracting the msi and using MDT2010 but that is getting over my head. I am not picky about what gets installed, I'll take all the default settings to make life easier.

Installing 32-bit client on windows 64-bit

Hi friends,
I've installed 64-bit Oracle software and database on Windows 2008 64-bit server. We have created this server to troubleshoot something at 3rd party location and our application will be on the same server as the database. Our application is not compatible with 64-bit client so is it possible to install 32-bit Oracle client on this system with 64-bit oracle database running? Do I have to make any changes to the path for the application to use 32-bit cilent?

Install Oracle 11g client on Windows 7

I am getting an error while installing Oracle 11g R1 client(11.1.0.7.0) on Windows 7 x32.
Error: OUI-18001: The operating system 'Windows Vista Version 6.1' is not supported.
Recommendation : install the recommended service pack.

To get going with oracle on windows 7 64-bit. You can install oracle 10g 32 which you use for windows XP. Its unusal but successful. Install 10G it will get installed on program files x86. Then open tnsnames.ora files which will be either in program files x86/oracle/....search or it will be in c:\oracle...write the correct server name in tnsnames and in PB while doing the configuration..write tns:servername in the server textbox.
