Silent Installation of Dreamweaver 3 NOT CS3

Hi everyone,
I've been tasked to create a silent installation for a load
of old pieces of software. Many of these are old Macromedia or
Adobe stuff. One of the ones i'm having trouble with is Dreamweaver
3 - does anyone know of any way of silently installing this?

Silent Installation - Respond file not getting created !!!

Hi,
I am trying to create a respond file by running the installation as follows
./runInstaller -ignoreSysPrereqs -record -destinationFile /backup/ORA_DOWNLOADS/9201.rsp
ignoreSysPrereqs is used because we have Sun Solaris 5.10 which is not in oraparam.ini.
I am installing 9.2.0.1 Please do not ask why 9.2.0.1 now.
Now the problem is my respond file is not getting created when I run the install. Does the respond file gets created after the installation is complete? I do not want to end up doing installation at one server without the respond file.

PSE 10 and Adobe CS6: When running silent install help is not working afterwards

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum. If not: Please help me find the correct one.
I have a big issue with Adobe CS6 (and former versions like Photoshop Elements 10): When installing it from DVD running GUI everything is working fine afterwards. If I install e.g. Photoshop Elements 10 using "Silent Installation" help is not working afterwards. It states that it cannot locate the URL. I have not installed AIR and also do not plan to install it.
I have 'played' a little around with Common Files\Adobe\helpcfg and help directory. Now at least I do not get an error message but still it's not the online help which opens in the browser but the web page that is defined as 'home'.
The same I see now in Adobe CS6. I have e.g. packaged After Effects and Illustrator and when deploying it I'm not able to open help as well and I fear that this is the same issue.
Has anyone deeper knowledge about how "helpcfg" is working? Any example files? Any other help appreciated as well.

@hannilator Have you checked the exceptions folder contents for instructions on how to push to logged off computers? Here's what I get when I package CS6 (DesignWebPrem) and excude AIR/CHC:
After you have deployed the package, separately install the products in the exception folder.
IMPORTANT: Before you install the products in the exception folder, refer to the following Adobe Knowledgebase article for information on installing these products and configuring the settings correctly:

Silent installation of PC Suite 7.0 is broken

What is wrong with the latest PC Suite version 7.07.
The silent installation options do not work any more.
For example: Nokia_PC_Suite_rel_7_0_7_0_eng_web.exe /SILENT="PE"
or
Nokia_PC_Suite_rel_7_0_7_0_eng_web.exe /SILENT="1"
do not work any more. These are valid options from "Installation Guide for Administrators Nokia PC Suite 7.0". Previous PC Suite 6.86.9.3 removed old version and installed silently new without any problems. I have Windows XP with SP3 and PC Suite 6.86.9.3.

Registration of Dreamweaver CS3 during silent installation

I need to do packaging of Dreamweaver CS3 and i have to deploy in 100 of machine...
and i need a silent installation.
so first i created two xml file by --record=1 option. install.xml and remove.xml
and i created application.xml.override and put it into driver folder as it is mentioned in the document...
Now installation and uninstallation is working fine...
//setup.exe --mode=silent deploymentFile=//install.xml
but peoblem is after deploying in 100 nachine it is asking for registaration...although i mentioned the serial key in the application.xml.override file
How to register this software during silent installation....
so that it will not ask for every machine....

Behavior of silent installer not completely specified

On page 3 of the "Adobe AIR 1.5 Runtime Redistribution Instructions" under "Silent installation" states in part:
The AIR application installer installs the correct version of Adobe AIR on the target computer, as required by the AIR application to be installed. For example, if the AIR application to be installed requires the AIR 1.1 runtime, and the end users computer has only AIR 1.0 installed (or no version of AIR installed), the installation process installs the AIR 1.1 runtime along with the AIR application.
and then:
To install or update the runtime only, use the -silent option without specifying a path or any other options.
However, the instruction do not specify what happens in the following case:
+ The -silent option is used to update the runtime only.
+ The user already has a newer version of AIR on his/her computer than what is about to be installed.
What happens in this case? Does the installer:
A) Do nothing and exit successfully?
B) Downgrade the user's installed AIR version?
C) Exit with an error code, message, or dialog?
D) Something else??

When a newer version of the runtime is already installed, the installer (running in silent mode) does nothing and exits.
Note that to install Adobe AIR silently, you must contact Adobe and request an Adobe AIR runtime redistribution license. It sounds like you have already done this, Paul, but I just want others to know. Here are details:

Integration 10g silent installation will not install WebLogic Workshop

I am attempting a silent installation, using wli10gR3_win32.exe. I have created a silent.xml using the information on this page: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13214_01/wli/docs85/install/silent.html.
I have used that page in the past to successfully create silent installations for versions 8 and 9 of Weblogic, but for version 10g it is not quite working as advertised. I have not found instructions for a silent installation for 10g.
My silent.xml file contains the following line:
<data-value name="COMPONENT_PATHS" value="WebLogic Server|WebLogic Workshop|WebLogic Integration|WebLogic Portal" />
When I run the package with this line, an error is produced in the log file stating that WebLogic Workshop cannot be found.
When I remove the WebLogic Workshop part of the line then Server, Integration, and Portal all install without errors. Unfortunately, Workshop was requested as well.
When I run the installation manually, I am offered Workshop as one of the products.
If somebody can point me to the correct installation documentation or provide the correct syntax for the silent.xml file that would be swell.

I had faced the same issue today, So I had removed workshop and the installation was successful. But the weird thing is after the installation I could see the "workshop" was installed under BEA_HOME.
Did any one face the same issue?

Silent installation not so silent

I am trying to perform a silent installation of discoverer desktop 10g. I can create a response file with the "-record" option, and i have also selected just discoverer desktop. Everything works fine.. except that at the end of the installation, the dosbox that is opened tells me: "Press enter to exit". I do not want this. I want a fully automated silent installation. I already tried to change all the options to false inside the response file but i doesn't help.
Has anybody ever experienced this and found a solution?

isn't there anyone who experienced this before? I know this is not a discoverer topic, but there is no other installation topic available. And since all the installers in oracle are the same...
This has to be possible. I cannot imagine that oracle hasn't thought about this.

thats fine that I should nt contuinue the installation if the prerequisties isnt match
but my question is "if we are doing the same installation in GUI based then we have to select that failed components and verify it again, i.e. I select that failed component and retry it (that the same thing done by me) and its working perfectly..." and my installation is successfully completed with any errors.
So, how can I do the same thing through command line, IF I want to retry for the failed components?

Silent Installation of Additional OMS 10.2.0.4 with 11.1.0.7 repo fails...

Followed instructions from the OEM Installation and Basic Configuration guide E10953-04 - Software Only Installation...
In the section 'Temporary update of the Repository Core Version' I changed the version to 10.2.0.1.0
When trying to install additional OMS on Linux x86-64 using silent installation... The installer fails with the below message...

Directly pointy to 11G database is not supported, you have to go by note 467677.1

Photoshop Elements 13 Silent Installation

Hi.
I am trying to do a silent installation of Photoshop Elements 13.
We can rollout single installations to specific computers with Enteo DSM (Client Management System).
When i assign an installation to a client, i have the possibility to give the serialnumber with the installationpackage as an variable.
This worked well with PSE10, PSE11 and PSE12.
But with Version 13 the installation routine changed completly. Are there any instructions to do an silent installation with PSE 13 ?

Silent install worked great but I cant get the adobeID to serialize. I used this for PSE 12 but it's not working on 13.
adobe_prtk --tool=Serialize --leid=V7{}PhotoshopElements-EMT13-Win-GM --serial="xxxx-xx...." --adobeid="[email protected]"
Do I have the right leid? I couldn't find any information on how to get the Adobe ID working.

So I changed the "CUSTOM.RSP" response file parameters by adding

Silent Installation Adobe Acrobat 9 Win 2008 R2

I have a problem with the silent installation of Adobe 9 under Win 2008 R2. I have created an admin installation with all hotfixes including 9.3.2 german.
When I install. The installation fails with 1603. In the log i found the following errors:
