Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) Display Adapter Drivers

Anyone know where I can find drivers for the SiS 5598/6326 Display Adapter for Solaris 8 on Intel ? Direction towards light appreciated (intended pun :-)

You may find a driver for SiS 5598, but not on the SiS web site.
They don't support drivers for Solaris. Related to the SiS6326 driver, I spent two days looking for one and I couldn't find it. Apparently the SiS video adapter is not compatible with Solaris8 intel.
If you want to get more information, there are more posts about SiS drivers on this forum.

  • HP ENVY 17-j021nr Notebook PC Need Display adapter drivers for Windows 10

I upgraded to Windows 10  64 bit.  After the install my side monitor did not come on.  I thought I would have to manually update the drivers. After going to the hp support site: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-17-Notebook-PC-series/5354973/model/5395122?sku=E0K86UA&ssfFlag=true#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1 I do not see any "video drivers" for my laptop. I also went to the Nvidia site, Downloaded and installed the drivers for the Nvidia Geforce GT 740m but that did not work. I did the "clean intall" option. I Called HP support. They said that i needed a higher level of support and transfered me to a different department. This unknown to me named department states that there is a fix for this. That I would have to pay for at least 1 day of support so they could remote into my system and correct the issue. I said how much? They said $100 I simple need drivers that will work for my video card so that I can start using the HDMI output on my laptop.  I need the Nvida card to operate at peak performance at some point but for now I am simply asking for compatible display adapter dri vers.

I am having the same problem withmy display adaptors after updating to windows 10. I can't find any fix online. I think HP has not yet built an update for my driver. If anyone can help, please HELP!!! my driver is an AMD Radeon HD 8400 R3 Series.

  • Cover Flow - Display adapter drivers

Hi there, I know a lot of people have posted about this problem but I am wondering if anyone can help me out.
I am unable to use cover flow on my pc. I have made sure I have the latest itunes and quicktime. As far as drivers go this is my sticking point. I don't know if there are newer drivers for the display adapters. I have been to the manufacturers website (S3 Graphics) but it seems that it has been discontinued with no further support (I am not sure I am looking up the right drivers anyhow). The display adapter I have is S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR. The driver date is from 2003 (version 6.0.0.0).
Can any techie person help me out here. I would love to get cover flow working on this pc.
    Thanks in advance

  • Using nvidia display adapter sted integrated graphics with onlocation

Posted this yesterday and thought it was going into the Onlocation forum, but it showed up in the Premiere Pro forum.  Looks like all Onlocation posts are being directed to Premiere Pro forum.  The most recent posts to the Onlocation forum are a month old.  Maybe my mistake, I'm posting this again.  The top of my screen shows "Adobe Community>Premiere Pro>OnLocation:  Start a New Discussion in OnLocation.
    INITIAL POST:
I'm attempting to ensure that Onlocation CS5 uses the fastest display adapter on my laptop.  I have a Lenovo laptop with an i7 processor running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.  Under the Device Manager my listed display adapters include the integrated Intel(R) HD Graphics Family, and an Nvidia NWS 4200M card I bought to get the best possible performance when recording video with Onlocation.  I've read about using the Nvidia display panel to select the higher power Nvida display under MANAGE 3D Graphics:  Global Settings.  The choices are: 1 Auto Select.  2. HIgh Performance Nvidia Processor.  3. Integrated Graphics.
I understand Auto Select is a battery saving device so the higher powered graphics card doesn't engage until it is needed.
But...it seems as though this only anticipates the Nvidia card would be used for 3D gaming.   When I switch to "Program Settings" to add a program to the list that will always use the higher powered processor, Photoshop and Premiere and Encore are options, but On Location is not.
In this situation, is Onlocation using the Nvidia processor or the built in graphics card?
Should I use the BIOS setup to change the display adapter to nvidia?
Or is there no advantage to switching to the Nvidia display because Onlocation is a two diminsional program?
ADDITIONAL INFO:  I looked at my computer's BIOS and it looks like it's set to use the integrated graphics unless more display power is required, when it shifts to the invida card.  But I'd appreciate anyone with more knowledge about this weighing in.  Hate to think I spent more for an nvidia card if it's not being used.

  • Windows: how do I update the device driver for my video/display adapter?

Installed video drivers may not always support the functionality of the latest Flash Player.  If Flash Player does not function correctly, updating the video drivers to the latest available version is one of the first steps to try.  Below are instructions how to update the video drivers on Windows systems.
identify the manufacturer and type of your video card
open Device Manager: Start | Run | enter devmgmt.msc
open the Display Adapters drop-down; this will show you the installed video card:
    identify the device driver version
right-click on your display adapter entry and select Properties
click on the Driver tab; this will show you the driver version and date:
go to the device manufacturer's support site and download the latest driver
NVIDIA cards: NVIDIA driver download page, or auto-detect
ATI cards: ATI driver download page, or auto-detect
Intel cards: Intel driver download page, or auto-detect
Matrox cards: Matrox driver download page
VIA cards: VIA Arena driver download page (redirects to 3rd-party download site)
SiS cards: SiS driver download page, or auto-detect
S3 cards: S3 driver download page, or auto-detect (option 2 on the download page)
follow the instructions on the manufacturer's support site
Note: some of the auto-detect utilities linked above will only run on Internet Explorer.

  • Display Adapter

    Greetings,
What's up dudes? I have MSI K7T266 Pro 2 motherboard and at the moment i have Gainward GeForce 2 MX/MX400 display adapter and very soon i have Asus GeForce 4 Ti4200 128 Mt display adapter. I'm a real bonehead when it comes to changing display adapter, can i leave this Geforce 2 MX/MX400 in the motherboard and install GeForce 4 Ti4200 on a different PCI slot?

Normally, I would agree wholeheartedly, however, in this situation, the drivers are the same. NVidia uses UDA, Unified Driver Architecture, thereby allowing the removal of one GeForce, and the installation of another exceedingly simple. I made a change from a GF2 to the current GF FX5200 by simply shutting down, swapping cards, and restarting.
As for adding a second display adapter to a system, if one is PCI, and the other AGP, it should work seamlessly. Even with the display adapters using the same exact chipset. It is not always successful, due to some limitations in the system, display adapters, operating system, or motherboard chipset. IRQ's can also create havok when trying this.
Unless there is a specific reason for wanting 2 seperate display adapters, I would just make the change from the GF2, to the GF4. If the GF2 is PCI, I would suggest getting an AGP GF4, not PCI. AGP will give better performance overall vs. PCI.
If you are simply wanting twin monitors, get a dual VGA AGP card. Just insure the AGP driver has been installed, which *should* happen automaticly with the VIA 4 in 1 drivers.

  • Unternehmenslösung gesucht X1 20A8 mit Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter Probleme

    1 Business Case
Fehlende VGA-Adapter  b.) Niedrige Bildschirmauflösung 1024x768 (XGA) oder 1280x1024 (WXGA).
All o.g.

    also....

  • ITunes 8 messes up display adapter

I have bought an iPhone and had to upgrade my iTunes (which was ver. 7.0.2 and worked just fine). So I upgraded using Apple Upgrade tool. After I restarted the system screen turned 65K colors 1024x769 and poped up a messageth at new hardware found. This hardware was VGA compatible device. I tried to uninstall it and install drivers for my display adapter (which was Intel GMA900). It didn't work. Restarts, drivers updates don't help. I restored the system and tried to install iTunes manually. Result is the same. It messes up my screen resolution and colours (that is noticeable, who know what else is broken).
I am guessing it installs its own drivers that conflict with existing ones.
How could it be fixed ?

I also am having the same problem.
Computer fine. Successfully load iTunes 8.x. Reload. My display adapter has been uninstalled. Only successful way back to "computer fine" is to use System Restore.
I have attempted to upgrade my driver for my display adapter using ATI's page and some other websites "driver update" packages, but eiter I am doing something wrong or there is something wrong with the package or my computer.
    Anyone have any thoughts?

  • Win 8.1, Clean Install, No AMD Display Adapter Found

I have a C55D-B5203 AMD basec Laptop. After a restore from backup failure, I had to do a clean 8.1 install. The recovery partition was damaged. Only the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is found, not the AMD adapter. I have tried to install the Catalyst based driver, but that also doesn't detect the A600 adapter. What should I try next?

Essentially all the drivers and utilities at that site need to be installed for the laptop to operate as designed - and the order matters. You can stuggle with that if you have the time. I don't and would restore the hard disk to its original out-of-the-box contents using Toshiba recovery media.
If you failed to create recovery media, obtain it from Toshiba. Scroll down to Get Recovery Media here

  • Trouble loading Mac driver for Display Adapter (connecting Mac to flat screen TV)

    Howdy:
I'm trying to connect my Mac (OSX 5) to a flat screen TV.  To do so I just bought a USB 2.0 to HDMI® Display Adapter w/ Audio (1920 x 1080). The mini CD containing the DisplayLink software drivers that came with the unit won't fit in my Mac CD drive. I then tried to download the correct driver from the DisplayLink website, "DisplayLink USB Graphics Macintosh Driver" which appears to be appropriate for OSX 5 (at http://www.displaylink.com/support/mac_downloads.php). This proceeds through the installation steps, then bombs out with the error message that "The following install step failed: run preinstall script for DisplayLink software. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
In the hopes of finding a compatible driver, I looked for an earlier version of the driver on the DisplayLink site, but couldn't find one.
    Help!

Your 20" 2007 iMac has a mini-dvi video out.  Forget about using usb and installing drivers and just use a mini-dvi to HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable instead.

  • Display adapter randomly resetting

I'm having two issues which may or may not be related. My display adapter keeps resetting itself. Sometimes it works and I can continue working.other times I get a screen full of vertical lines and have to reboot. The computer will also not bout or run on battery power. If it's on and I unplug the a.c. adapter it well shut off. Any ideas on how to solve my envy dv7 issues? It's windows 8 that I'm currently running after doing a complete restore yesterday in the hope that if would solve the problem. If didn't.

    ACCER,
Thanks for getting back to me. In all honesty, it seems like the hardware is starting to go.
However, my last suggestion is to reinstall the operating system. This is because their may be a software or virus causing the issues you are describing. It's a long shot, but since you will need to back everything up anyway, you might as well do this.
First, please ensure you backup your files. Here is information on how to do this: Backing Up Your Files (Windows 8)
Once this is done, it is safe to reinstall the operating system. Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8)
If the same situation occurs, the computer likely has faulty hardware. At that point, please contact HP phone support, or take it to a local repair shop to get it evaluated.
If you appreciate the information I provided, please mark my posts with Kudos and "Accept as Solution"! It would be helpful to me, and help anyone else come across this information in the future.
I will look forward to your reply!

  • System-config-display, gnome-display-properties - inconsistent R5 U5 64bit

    Hi all,
I have OEL Rel 5 U5 (64-bit) installed and running on an IBM x3200 which has Radeon integrated graphics, with a IBM ThinkVision LCD monitor (1280x1024 max)
Problem I have is eventhough system-config-display lets me select 1280x1024 I can't actually get it to switch. Upon log-off/log-in, reboot, restart, etc... it still returns to 1024x768 mode.
    Running gnome-display-properties only gives me a choice of 1024x768, 800x600, or 640x480.
I've also tried xrandr and trying to force it to 1280x1024 but it tells me I only have the 3 choices given by gnome-display-properties.
My xorg.conf file is configured with 1280x1024, 1024x768, and 800x600 modes, so I'm baffled at where gnome-display-properties and xrandr are getting their mode choices...
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Based on Xorg log I'm guessing the monitor driver just will not support the higher res and apparently that's where 'gnome-display-properties' gets its info regardless of what I try in Xorg.conf.
I'll see if I can manipulate the monitor settings and see where that gets me...
I see the following in the log:

in systems preferences display there is no arrangement tab
i had it in OSX 10.8 but not in mavricks

The Mac uses a heavily parameterized Driver for the graphics cards, rather than drivers for each attached display. For this reason, displays MUST respond to requests for their identity and capabilities, so that the parameters can be set properly to get a picture.
You can see whether the display has responded to the request by looking in:
    About this Mac > ( More Info ) > Graphics & Displays
to check for the name of the display. "No Display Connected" is exactly the problem you need to solve. Sometimes the ( Detect Displays ) button will help, but sometimes the Display itself needs its settings changed so that it knows the HDMI port is actively connected to a computer.
[√] Mirror displays is RARELY helpful, because it requires both the built-in and the TV to use the same resolution. This does not work very often -- one or the other may go dark. Uncheck this until you get it going.

  • Messaging system and XI Adapter

    Hi Experts,
I've came across a scenario /people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/05/25/understanding-message-flow-in-xi which explains "message flow in XI".
Q1. my question is under "RETURN JOURNEY" section in Point 1. the author is saying "So the XI Integration server will send the message to the messaging system of the Adapter Engine (AE)" i want to know what is message system and its purpose? will it store converted messages.
Q2. wht does an XI Adapter do and wht is the purpose of using it?
    thanks

points will b rewarded for useful answers.....

    Hi Abdul,
Q1. my question is under "RETURN JOURNEY" section in Point 1. the author is saying "So the XI Integration server will send the message to the messaging system of the Adapter Engine (AE)" i want to know what is message system and its purpose? will it store converted messages.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/8f/d906d01f77fa40a4c84683c3f8326f/frameset.htm
    Purpose
You use the Adapter Engine to connect the Integration Engine to SAP systems (RFC adapter) and external systems. You use the various adapters in the Adapter Engine to convert XML- and HTTP-based messages to the specific protocol and format required by these systems, and the other way around.
Q2. wht does an XI Adapter do and wht is the purpose of using it?
    Purpose
You configure the XI adapter to exchange messages with an Integration Engine. Both XI 3.0 and XI 2.0 message protocols are supported. You also use the XI adapter to exchange messages between SAP Exchange Infrastructure and the Partner Connectivity Kit (PCK).
You can use security settings to sign messages and check the signature. You can encrypt and decrypt message payloads.
    Features
    ·        To receive XML messages from a sender system, configure the sender XI adapter.
If messages are sent from the Integration Server to the PCK, you must create a sender XI adapter in the PCK.
    ·        To send XML messages to a receiver system, configure the receiver XI adapter.
If messages are sent from the PCK to the Integration Server, you must create a receiver XI adapter in the PCK.
XI Adapter in the Integration Server
A communication channel with a receiver XI adapter can be created automatically for business systems that are defined in the System Landscape Directory. See also: Creating Communication Channels Automatically
    regarding security setting,, check below
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/86/0222417c22f323e10000000a155106/frameset.htm

XI adapter sends the data through XI protocol which works on HTTP and XML.
So, security for XI adapter means
    1) HTTPS(Communication channel security)
    2) Message Level Security( You can send messages further in encrypted form)
The communication via web service may have advantages, if you want communicate with non XI systems.
In your scenario, there is direct communication between XI engines, so you can go for XI adapter. The XI adapter which is normally used to configure the exchange of messages with in an Integration Server, canbe extended to exchange messages between the two Integration Servers in the scenario.
Please verify if if you have the common SLD for both XI systems. its preferable to go for seperate SLDs
Check out the similar threads, XI to XI scenarios:
XI adapter there is one option "Security Settings"..
You can do client authentication, 128-bit encryption etc
btw,we can do kind of data encryption in the mapping with java classes and you can pass the value.. but it is just a data level or message level
But generally use cerfticates in the adapters for the secuity purpose. these will help you to give more inputs

    Solved!

Any ThinkPad with discrete or switchable graphics will work...T400/500, R400/500, W500/700...make sure that you're not getting the one with Intel integrated GPU and you'll be all set...
FWIW, even T61/p with discrete GPU will run  this with no sweat...
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
