Sim adapter and Nokia Lumia

Hi, today I upgraded my iphone for a nokia lumia 1020, the lady who served me was ok, but not very helpful, she did not set the phone up for me and seeing that I was upgrading from an iphone5 she gave me a sim adapter... I didnt question this as I thought this was the norm nowadays what with the sims being all different sizes. Anyway, I got back and TRIED to set up my Nokia 1020, i put the sim in and it kept telling me that it wasnt recognised.. so i took the sim out and tried to put in back in again... but it got jammed half way in the phone, I managed to get my sim card out but the adapter is now stuck in the phone and I cant get the sim card holder out of the phone. (I havent even had the phone 2 hours before this happened..) I did a search on google to see if there were any quick fixes to this, and saw that a few people had the same problem with the nokia 925... does anyone have any suggestions, was I at fault? were the shop at fault for not supplying me with a correct sized sim? is it a design fault? can it be repaired without costing an arm and a leg? has anyone else had this issue?? any help would be apprieciated

Since the shop gave you the adaptor I would return the phone to them and ask for a replacement. As suggested in a previous response, get a normal microSIM instead.
I would not accept this or start fiddling with this.

In near future will nokia introduce dual sim features in lumia models

Always being a Nokia's Loyal customer. But very sad to see Nokia losing out in the market. I would suggest Nokia along with Microsoft should come up with Dual Sim support versions of Nokia Lumia. I think it will just wipe out other market competitors if not anywhere else but in India atleast.

WH-700, AD 52 adapter and Nokia E71...... help!

I have had no end of trouble trying to get a headset I am happy with. finally on a recomendation frmo these boards bought an OEM WH-700...
And I love it...
One problem, I have an E71, which has a 2.5mm Nokia AV jack. Now the headset comes bundled with an AD 52 adapter. Trouble is this adapter sticks out horizontally from the phone, meaning whenever I walk it comes out. Most frustrating and it looks like it will bend and break.
I also have an AD 50 adapter which does not come straight out but is a different design and headphones hit in nicely. But it is no a 4-pole so does not work with the headset.
Is there a 4 pole nokia OEM 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter that is in the shape of the AD 50 but does what an AD 52 does?

Hello there Actually I had the same problem with my Nokia 6120 Classic. Having searched market for a day finally I found (Nokia AD-56) and (Nokia AD-61) which can be connected directly to your phone with no adaptor. With them use an ordinary pair of headphones or (3.5 mm headset for Nokia AD-61). Google both (Nokia AD-56) and (Nokia AD-61) to see their images.

Nokia Play 360 speakers and Nokia Lumia 1520

Hi all,
I've got a pair of these speakers and am having trouble with my Lumia 1520. The Lumia connects and starts playing just fine but, after a few minute the audio drops for a split second every ten seconds or so. The music continues to play with this dropout every ten seconds.
I've tried it with my wife's iPhone 5c without any sign of a glitch. Anyone got a solution?

I don't understand this:

WHY?
Many belt clips, cases, have magnets and metals inside...

Nokia Lumia 1520 - Bluetooth and Data Connectivity...

Hi - i recently updated my Nokia lumia 1520 with a new firmware that Nokia tool told me being available. after that i have consistantly having bluetooth connectivity issues and Data connectivity issues.
i have a Jabra Clipper bluetooth headset which . i am no longer able to pair it. it detect and says jabra clipper, then starts pairing, then simply says couldn't connect.
if i have wifi on, if i go out of range of the WIFI signal, my data connection stops working as well. this is 100% of the time. i have to reboot my phone to get data connectivity back.

Because I am just an end-user like you and I do not have your hardware combination here, I can only give general advice. Could be a new interoperability issue between these two devices, introduced with Lumia Cyan. Could be a old wrong pair-key. Or could be interfering between your Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (Bluetooth Adaptive Channel Hopping). Therefore, let us start with the Bluetooth part:
on the Nokia Lumia 1520, Settings » Wi-Fi » Off (to avoid any interference)
on the Nokia Lumia 1520, Settings » Bluetooth » On
(status: paired) tap and hold your Jabra CLIPPER » delete (if paired already)
on the Jabra CLIPPER, press and hold the multi-function button until the indicator light is solid blue (approximately 6 seconds) to activate the paring mode
Your Bluetooth headset should appear in your phone now. After you tapped on it, it should be paired successfully. Does it?
If not, start over again and between step 1 and 2, power off both Jabra CLIPPER and Nokia Lumia 1520.
If it still does not work, start over and between step 1 and 2, please hold volume down + power until the Nokia Lumia 1520 turns off (soft reboot; do not forget to set your date/time afterwards).
If it still does not work, start over and between step 1 and 2, turn off your Wi-Fi access point.
Does it work now?

Need a new SIM card tray and cover for Nokia Lumia...

I just got a Nokia Lumia 920 in white and when I tried to open the SIM card tray to put in my SIM card, the tray went flying and I can't find it. Does anyone know how to get a replacement tray? I have a great phone that I can't use so I'm freaking out right now. Nokia customer service said all parts are sold on Amazon. Not true because this one is not. Tried eBay and Google search to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

As a new model parts will still be very scarce and one source was quoting me 3 week wait for a screen replacement.

No sim works for my nokia lumia 520

My brother gave me an Nokia lumia 520, and i have tried off all of the sim cards and some ask for a sim card code or something similar im not sure now.
on others it says that its in gpm or gps mode im not sure what to do i don't know what to do.
i can use the phone but not call or text anyone
and im in the uk i tried (o2, 3, orange, lebara and some more) help please i don't know what's the customer service line for my problem even. And any idea how much it would cost to unlock it.

Only the network provider where the phone is locked with can unlock the phone. We suggest contacting them regarding this and the cost of it.

I think that the device is so new that you will definitely have a challenge finding one at the moment.
IF nokia care is around you, they MIGHT have one...but still, I think that IF they even have the shells, it will probably be a set which would include having to change the entire shell.

Have you tried any of these options from the FAQ?
It is possible to fix many phone problems yourself in a few minutes – including phone freezes, application crashes, sound problems and a blank display. To save yourself time, try these three fixes.
1. Restart your phone
If the phone hardware is jammed, you should first try restart your phone. This does not reset the Microsoft Account (Windows Live ID) or remove any consumer data.

Make sure the charger is disconnected.

4. When the phone vibrates, release the power key, but continue holding the volume down and camera keys, until the phone reboots.

Sim 02 apn disappears in nokia lumia 630 dual sim

I have Nokia Lumia 630 Dual Sim. I purchased in Sept 2014.
Right Now I have two sim cards. Sim 01 : BSNL and Sim 02 : Tata Docomo (microsim)
I can access Sim 01 internet only. Whenever I want to use Sim 02.
I type APN address in APN Text box "TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET" then add IP type in text box "IPv4"
and save. It disappears when I back to confirm in add Internet APN. This happens only with Sim 02.
I have tried so much time finaly i called to Nokia care. Executive told me to simple shut down process holding down volume minus and off button for 10 to 15 seconds and restart mobile. but all in vein.

Is this related? There is a software bug, until this is fixed, you can have a custom APN for one SIM only. Therefore, did you create a custom APN for both SIM? Do you really need that? BSNL and Tata DOCOMO are not offered as ‘profile’?

Nokia Lumia 800 is off and continually vibrating.

I was just using my nokia lumia 800 normally and then it suddenly shut off. I've tried everything to get it working, soft reset, hard reset, taking the sim out, letting the battery go flat then plugging it in, but nothing worked. This has happened once before but it turned back on after 5 mins. It has been 2 days now and it is stil continually vibrating. What should I do?

It sounds like you have tried most things to get it back up and running again, I have a feeling it might be a hardware failure, I suggest that you take your device to your local Nokia Care point as soon as you can to get it looked at by a specialist.

I was just about to buy a Nokia Lumia 630 Dual SIM here in Thailand , my mobile SIM card only works of the 3G band - 850Hhz , I was told by the sales person that the Nokia Lumia 630 Dual SIM only has the 3g frequencys of
HSDPA 900 / 2100
but the One SIM version has the 3g frequencys of WCDMA/HSDPA Quad Band 850/900/1900/2100 MHz
I know that mobile phones can be different 3 g frequencies in different countries , but I wondered what you guys thought .
