Sim Card Transfer

I would like to know if its possible if I can cut down a Droid 2 Global sim card to fit an iPhone 4.. or can I just trade in the sim card for a iphone sim card ?

Mascudi where do you get your info. first since your in the iPhone 4 section No it doesent have one. Why would you want to use an android sim card in an iPhone? Even if it had one. Cutting one would break the chip and the 4s only uses foreign chips not us chips micro sims anyways.

HOW CAN I CHANGE SIM CARD TO NANO CARD?

Just contact your network provider & they will issue you with a nano sim card & transfer your phone number over to it.
I did this with Vodafone (UK) on my current sim only plan and the new nano sim card was live with my original number within 20 minutes of leaving the shop.

  • HT3302 I recently fried my iPhone 3GS in water. Is it still possible to get pictures from the SIM card and transfer them to my new iPhone 5s?

I recently fried my iphone3gs from accidental water submersion . Is it possible to retrieve any photos from the some card and transfer to my new iphone5

It depends on what kind of sim card and carrier you have, but the most likely answer is no. Contacts, maybe, but pictures are very unlikely. Sorry.

  • HT4994 How can I transfer the contacts I have stored on my iPhone to either my computer or to my SIM card?

I have been having issues with Siri taking over my phone and locking me out of accessing it. Temporarily I have fixed it by syncing it with iTunes, but I need to transfer the contacts I have store on the iPhone to either the SIM card installed or my laptop. I cannot find out how to do either, only imformation on how to import contacts onto the phone...
Please help, my head is already done in enough by feeling like Siri is trying to take over my life.... why do I feel like I am in iRobot!>!>!>!?!?!?!?

What do you mean by "Siri taking over my phone and locking me out of accessing it"?  Are you sure you don't have VoiceOver turned on?  With VoiceOver on a voice speaks the names of items that you touch on the screen, and you have to use different gestures to get around.  This may make it feel like you're "locked out" of your phone.
To turn VoiceOver off you have to go to Settings>General>Accessibility>VoiceOver>Off.  With VoiceOver on you have to flick the screen with three fingers to scroll, and to activate an item on the screen you have to tap an item once to select it, then double-tap it to activate it.  You can also turn it off by connecting your phone to iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings, Click Configure Universal Access (under Options), then under Seeing select Neither.

Is it possible to transfer Phone numbers from the SIM card to phone, in the NOKIA 6070?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

"Search for the contact you want to copy, and select Options > Copy. You can copy names and phone numbers
from the phone contact memory to the SIM card memory, or vice versa. The SIM card memory can save names
with one phone number attached to them."

if you have iPhone4 and can you take out the sim card from iPhone4 and transfer it in to new iPhone4s?

Under the circumstances this will probably considered a dumb question.
I currently have a jailbroken unlocked 3GS with a GoPhone plan.  Works great.  I am considering upgrading to a new factory unlocked 4S.  Will I be able to swap in my current SIM card and go?

  • Transfer iPad 1 sim card to new iPad?

I have an Unlimited Data Plan with AT&T on my old iPad 1.  I'd like to get a newer iPad, can I just transfer my old SIM card into the new iPad and keep my Unlimited Data Plan?  I believe the SIM card was changed from a micro to a nano SIM card beginning with the new iPad Air, is this correct?  If so, it sounds like I'd be limited to an (AT&T) iPad 4.
I also want a new basic iPhone and plan.  I'm currently with T-Mobile (good cost but mediocre coverage), do any carriers offer good packages with both phones and iPads?
    Thanks

I have no special affinity for the SIM card, I just want to keep the Unlimited 3G Data Plan.  I'm getting conflicting info on how to do it.  This MacWorld article below says you can just put the old SIM card into the new iPad to keep your Data Plan, without contacting AT&t.  My questions: 1. Can I transfer my Unlimited 3G Data Plan to the new iPad Air?  or 2. Am I limited to transferring my Unlimited 3G Data Plan to a iPad that uses 3G and has the same type of SIM card (iPad 4 or earlier)?  3. Can I do this on my own by swapping SIM cards and updating my Cellular Settings, or do I need to get AT&T involved?

My dad & I both have iPhone 5s. He no longer uses his & my screen is cracked. If I switch our SIM cards, what data will be lost? It is important for me to save/transfer all photos, video, & *especially* all text messages. When the SIM cards are swapped between phones, will any of these things be lost/deleted?

Thank you! I would prefer not to wipe his phone. My cracked screen iPhone still works, so I would ideally like to put his SIM card in my phone for occasional use. As mentioned, he is not using his iPhone anymore for phone calls, but would like to maintain access to photos, video, and all texts. As I use an iPhone for calls, trading the cracked screen is ideal. If I am able to switch them without losing data, I will, but am afraid to do so if there is a chance that any data will be erased. (I'm not sure if the photos, video, and -namely- texts are saved to the actual SIM card. Can text messages be backed up?
iPhone do not store anything on the sim.
Photos should be saved on computer like any other digital camera.
You can restore the backup for your dad as well as for yourself while swapping phones.

  • How do I transfer Sim Card Contacts

How can I transfer my numbers/contacts from my old cell phone sim card to my iPhone?

This may sound frustrating, but on the older phone, you have to go through ever single one of you contacts and change them to be stored to your phone. If you don't want to do that, than you should just reenter the information on the iPhone one by one.
FYI: Bluetooth will not work if the contacts are stored onto the SIM.

  • Transfer Phonebook to SIM Card...?

I got a new pearl and can't connect my old one to the comp. How do I transfer my phone book to the SIM card?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Open the Address Book, select a contact, scroll to the one of the number, display the menu, and select Copy to SIM phone book. Yes its one phone number at a time, but its the only option to copy contacts to the SIM card.

  • PLEASE HELP: Don't have an upgrade yet for my Verizon plan, If i just purchase an unlocked iphone 6 can i transfer the SIM card from my iphone 5s and itll work?

I have an existing 2 year verizon wireless plan, really want an iphone 6 and dont mind paying the 650. If i purchase an unlocked iphone 6 from apple online can i just transfer the sim card from my current phone (iphone 5s) to the unlocked iphone 6 and itll work?
    Thank you!

If you purchase an unlocked phone from Apple, it will cost you $650 and it will only partially work on Verizon's network. So, your better off buying a phone at full retail from Verizon for the same $650. It will function properly and, as all Verizon iPhones are sold with the GSM side unlocked, you'll be able to use it on other networks later.

  • Not sure how to transfer/save ALL data from old SIM card to new iPhone

    1) How can I save/keep/transfer all Messages and Notes when I put my SIM card into a new iPhone?
I have done that but only some of the Messages and Notes are there on new phone.
    2)  Also/or:  are all Messages and Notes saved on my Mac whenever I Sync / Update it?
And if so, WHERE on my computer do I find them?
    *  The Apple site says to be sure to Sync phone "to keep all data" (of course) but I want to make sure that includes        ALL Notes and Messages and know where to find them on my computer to truly save and access them.
    *  I have a 4S and the newer 4S with Siri.  I am going to give the 4S to a daughter and keep the 4S with Siri.
    3) Will the Genius Bar people help me with this if I can't myself, or do I need to go to AT&T (gag)?
I need simplest of explanations and steps to follow, please!
    Many thank yous,

Okay -- thanks to you, too!  I've only been using an iPHone since the 3G and had no idea.  Learn something new every day.  I totally  thought it stored the person's personal data so it could go from phone to phone.  Good to know--thanks!
So it must store phone basic stuff, I guess.  I'll have to look into that.
I gave you a link that explains how to get info from one iphone to another.

  • I have an Ipod1 with 3G and an unlimited ATT plan.  I want to get an Ipad2 - can I swap SIM cards so that my unlimited service will automatically transfer to the new unit?

I have an Ipod1 with 3G and an unlimited ATT plan.  I want to get an Ipad2 - can I swap SIM cards so that my unlimited service will automatically transfer to the new unit?

You don't actually swap the SIM card. For some reason, AT&T doesn't like you to do it that way.
    Go to:
    www.att.com/ipadlanding
edit payment information link...then update the following two fields:
    IMEI:
    ICCID:
You get this info from the iPad (1 or 2) select 'Settings' then 'General' then 'About'...
The IMEI and ICCID info is on that screen. No need to swap the SIM cards. This process outlined above transfers service instantly and does NOT change the plan type, billing, user info, or days remaining. Basically anytime an ATT customer wants to move a data plan the ATT iPad web page is all you need. No phone call!
It took me about 3 minutes and worked perfectly.
